1st class mechanics. Took my van in for what I thought was a head gasket or other major engine issue. Figured on a bill in the thousands. They did a through diagnostic and found a small issue with the transmission. Got me back on the road sooner and cheaper than I could have imagined. Highly recommend.

This happened years ago, and Im still pretty salty about it. At the time, I was a poor college student working full time and going to school. During a traffic jam, my car had begun to gently accelerate without having pressing the accelerator. I held the brakes and turned off the engine. My car would not start again and it was towed to Beyer since we lived nearby and my family had been using them. We asked for the problem to be diagnosed and not to do any work without calling first since I was on a very tight budget. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty battery somehow affecting the computer system. Without asking, they replaced the battery with a performance one that cost around $300 (not counting labor).... to put that in perspective, the 96 Cavalier was sold for around $600 just 3 months later. When I complained that Id rather not have had the battery installed, the owner threatened that if I did not pay for the battery, he would call the police and have the car towed off his property, which he assured me would cost more than the overpriced battery. I was furious and planned to try pushing the car down the street to install a more reasonably priced battery, but my parents decided to pay the money on my behalf rather than try to argue. Ironically, the battery they installed needed to be jump started because they had failed to even charge it. To date, the owner of this business has lost literally thousands of dollars in business for taking advantage of a broke college kid for a couple hundred extra bucks of profit. I have now graduated and have a successful career, but all of my cars are serviced elsewhere. I actively warn anyone and everyone to avoid this place.

Professional, fair prices, honest labor. If I were a mechanic this is the kind of place I would want to work. The owner, Ed, seems like the genuine article and the guys who work for him act like they really appreciate their jobs. All the work Ive had done on my 185K Hyundai is been great.

I trust these guys wholeheartedly. They do what needs to be done and dont swindle you for anything more. Theres been several times when Ive thought there was an issue and had them check, and they have been honest with on the occasions when there is no problem. Besides being honest, they do great work. I wouldnt take my cars anywhere else.

I had two cars in for repair in 2016. Got them both back in the same condition as when they were brought in to Beyer. Paid a lot of good money too. In my opinion they couldnt fix a tricycle. Stay away from these jokers.

Amateur. Hour.A brake job, with recommended tires, and a coolant system check came to $1300 on my 2003 Honda Pilot, until I raised a stink and they looked for cheaper tires. The coolant system required a full radiator replacement 1 month after they cleared it as okay, cross tubes 3 months later, and here we are 4 months later with another leak. Maybe not their fault, per se, but fishy, and less than confidence inspiring.Worst: after the brake job was done we noticed scratching noise--metal on metal--and took it back in so they could correct the error. They called back, claimed the brakes were fine, and they couldnt tell what was making the noise except to guess it was just a stiff brand. It wasnt. Another shop actually took the wheel OFF to inspect it, and out fell a random curved piece of metal that had somehow gotten itself lodged in the curve of the wheel itself. Were they technically right that the brakes were fine? Yes.Did they actually take the wheel off to inspect the brakes the second time? Not in any honest world. The one thing that redeems them from a single-star rating was their willingness to let me bring in my old coolant to dump for no charge.
