I have used Murphy Autocare for tire installation and balancing for a few years on multiple cars and have always been pleased with their service. Today we found out that their balancing machine would not work properly with the wheels on my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HC Dual Rear Wheel truck due to something the depth of the wheel. This was the first time that theyve had a truck with this configuration in for tire mounting and balancing. They were very professional with mounting the original tire back onto the first wheel attempted, loaded the six new tires into the bed of my truck and made suggestions for other shops in the area equipped for larger trucks.

Had my wifes Subaru in for brakes and air conditioning work. They had it in more quickly than anticipated and quickly diagnosed the problems along with a courtesy check of all the vehicles systems. Needed repairs were completed at a competitive price. No pressure to do additional or unnecessary work. Highly recommend.

For the times I have had my car serviced at Murphys, it has been thorough. I like that they provide updates and take photos of areas of interest, as well as listing future possible maintenance that would be beneficial. They never pressure me into getting things done all at once if there are multiple issues, and help me prioritize what cant wait. Happy to have this place as my go to now!

We cannot thank Murphy’s Centerville location enough for their help last week! At the end of a 650 mile trip to bring our daughter back to UD for the semester, we started to notice a slight shimmy at low speeds in our Hyundai Sonata. After being turned away by two local dealerships (one of which could fit us in if we stayed in town for 2 weeks), Murphy’s agreed to take a look at our vehicle on a busy Friday. We had to borrow a vehicle to move our daughter into her dorm, but Murphy’s was able to diagnose the problem as a tread separation in a rear tire that could have resulted in a tragic accident on the interstate on our return trip. We were able to pick up our car with 4 new tires and an alignment by closing that day for our trip home.

Amazing customer service from this place. They performed an inspection and provided pictures of what they found and were able to send them through text along with a description with each picture. Staff were really welcoming and professional. They were knowledgeable and made suggestions about possible future maintenance to give you time to budget for them. I spoke with Ryan throughout my experience and will definitely bring my vehicle back for future services.

As always, the team at Murphys is cheerful, professional and exceedingly competent. The inspection pictures and description of recommended (or not recommended) services set the standard for what their industry should aspire to. I always have confidence in their recommendations because they are plain, forthright and with the pictures and information they provide they know I could have any other mechanic give me a second opinion (although Ive never felt the need to do so). Their value is beyond compare.

Eric carefully listened and he did not make me feel stupid when I was explaining my cars problems. He really took the time to explain the diagnostic, what to expect and what was wrong after their diagnostic as well as carefully detailing the upcoming expenses. I did not feel like I was getting duped into paying for more maintenance than my car actually needed. I also got this super helpful report post-fix . I have a 12yr old Chevy Colbalt that had Solenoid issues and I will absolutely come back for any other issues and oil changes!

Ive been a Murphys customer for 2 years and appreciate the quality of their work, being able to book appointments online and the way they communicate detailed reports including pictures via text and email. 6 weeks ago, we purchased a used car as a private sale for my 16 year old daughter. The seller did not disclose a major issue with the vehicle. The owner likely played DIY mechanic lifting the car misplaced a jack on the starter. The weight of the vehicle caused the starter to break off part the engine block leaving only 1 screw for the starter to adhere to the engine block. The starter was held in place with one screw and the car ran for 2 weeks. Murphys creatively designed a mold of the missing piece of the engine block and clamped it in place. This ~$400 fix is working 3 weeks later and my daughter knows she can always stop in. I will never do a private party sale again but, if this fix works, we will have a running vehicle. Murphys has a customer for life.

Everyone was super nice and professional. I appreciated that they took the time to take a ride with me to listen for the noise that I was hearing. They also explained the repairs that are needed for my vehicle and even printed out an invoice for me to keep/schedule maintenance and budget for the items on my own timeline. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future!

I am not a car person, but they explained everything thoroughly so I could understand what needed to be done and why. Ryan was very friendly, professional, and good at communicating. My car was done in a reasonable amount of time and runs way better than before. I will be taking my car to Murphy’s for any future repairs I need. 10/10 would recommend!

A+ service from these guys. Love that they always explain what they want to do and why, and that they include pictures of what they found with their inspection results. Diagnosed and fixed two separate engine issues I certainly wouldnt have been able to diagnose myself. Way better than a dealership that tried to tell me my front brakes and rotors were totally shot and needed to be replaced when they were actually in good condition!

I am extremely happy with Murphys Auto Care. Another shop in the area recommended them to service my Infiniti G37X. The extensive diagnostic that they ran on my vehicle, found the problem that Ive been dealing with since buying the car used in December 2018. When the car would get very wet after a day or two of rain, it simply would not run properly. By the time shops took a look at it, it would be dried out, and would be running properly again. Murphys Auto Care took the time to run their own thorough and complete diagnostic, to evaluate my engine including the vacuum systems and air filtering systems. Because of the issue they found during their diagnostic, my car is *finally* repaired and it has not ran better since Ive owned it. I highly recommend Murphys Auto Care for their professionalism thoroughness and processes. Thank you so very much!

I took my car to Murphys Autocare and asked them to check the brakes. I used their night dropbox to leave the car key, and the only item I wrote on the key envelope to describe my request for services was the single word Brakes. This was after I had spoken to them on the phone earlier that day. They called me the next day and emailed me the results of their extensive inspection of the vehicle, covering all aspects of the vehicle, far more than Brakes as I requested. They gave me a very high quote, in my opinion, because the exact same brake repair is being done by a nearby auto repair shop right now for about 75% of the price Murphys quoted. When I picked up the car key from Murphys, I was charged $40 for the detailed vehicle inspection that I did not request or authorize. I have no experience with repairs done at Murphys so I cannot comment on their repair work, but I am sure that I will not take any of my vehicles to Murphys again because I am very unhappy with my first experience there.

The tire and rim on my car got busted while I was driving. I called AAA, and while looking for auto mechanic locations I came across Murphy’s. I called them and Eric was great about continuing contact as I was waiting for AAA, and through the process I’m trying to get my car to their shop. They were very great about working with me, they were so helpful, the communication was great, and I really imagine that I’d have that good of an experience at an auto shop. I will absolutely be coming back to the shop when I officially move to the Dayton area. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you to Eric and everyone at Murphy’s!

I’ve been going to Murphy’s for auto service for years. They are not the cheapest in town, but they do have the best customer service. To me, it’s worth paying a little extra for service that definitely goes the extra mile. After every service, I get an inspection report with photos of my vehicle and the issues that need addressed now, in the near future or long term. They are always willing to work with you to make the best decisions for your vehicle as well as your pocketbook. Appreciate everything they do. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

The Genesis handles great after the BG power steering flush and tire rotation/balance. Their expert technicians thoroughly diagnosed the ABS and related systems. Ryan and Eric are knowledgeable, professional, and cordial in their communications. I highly recommend this great team of professionals!

These guys are so nice! Theyre very knowledgeable and explain everything in perfect detail. I love that they take pictures of your vehicle parts that need to be replaced. They show you the pictures and explain the function of the parts and how they affect the performance of your vehicle. They also print out pages of the parts that need to be replaced/ repaired, but put them in order of importance. Its evident they put safety first, but also know some things may be very expensive and make it easy to get the most important work done first. Im very leary about mechanic shops, being a female. Ive been ripped off before. But I didnt feel that way at all at Murphys!

Very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was happening and reviewed all anticipated charges (parts and labor) upfront. Multiple updates through the process and they started with the least expensive / impactful options when ruling things out as opposed to just going for the high dollar items. Great communication throughout and I’m very happy with the entire process.

I was recently a first time customer and went to Murphys because of their radio show on Saturdays. I liked what I heard on their show, so I wanted to give them a shot. They have a nice shop, courteous staff, and they gave me very comprehensive report, but heres why I rate them a 2.1. I brought my truck in for what appeared to be a noise coming from the rear differential. They rode with me and agreed that was the source of the noise. Without any other apparent work they diagnosed the likely problem as bad bearings and/or gears. Their proposed solution was to replace the entire axle housing and differential assembly with a remanufactured unit...at a cost of $3900+! As an alternative they offered to get a junk yard unit with 138K miles (my truck has 93K) and only charge me $2500. I said no to both options and subsequently took my truck to an axle specialist who did a real diagnosis and replaced bad bearings and shims, and properly set preload, backlash, etc. Problem solved...for $739. $3000+ cheaper than Murphys.2. While I did not have them replace my axle assembly for $3900+, I gave them a second chance while they had my truck and asked them perform the brake fluid change service they recommended in my report. The description on the invoice said that includes replacing the fluid to ALL FOUR brakes. Literally as they were scanning my credit car to pay for that, they mentioned that the bleeeders on the rear brakes were stuck and they stripped when they tried to open them...so they only bled the front brakes. They did half the job, stripped up my rear bleeders, and as far as I can tell, charged me full price. So now I still have old brake fluid and also stripped rear bleeders that someone else will have to fix.They did give me a $25 discount as part of their customer reward program.Perhaps my experience is not the norm...I hope thats the case. But it was certainly disappointing.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Following my experience and my review, Murphys reached out to me and offered an acceptable resolution to my situation. I thank them for that.

Brian was able to fix problems with a “competitors” work. The equipment they use is top of the line. I would highly recommend them for any automotive repair. The shop is clean, staff is nice and the technology they use to keep you updated on your repairs and the ability to reference pictures of before and after is priceless. I really enjoyed leaving without that thought of “ did I just get screwed?, were the techs doing burnouts?” The typical questions that arise from leaving some shops. Thank you again Brian.

We recently moved to the area and I was looking for an honest place to take my car to get some work done and had a GREAT first experience here today! Brian was super friendly when I arrived and explained their process to me. They send a detailed report via email/text with pictures of the work that needed done or work they suggested to be done. When I picked up the car Brian explained in more detail what they saw and that they rent a car out or offer pick up/drop off services if needed! I will definitely be taking our vehicles there for future work!

Eric was extremely professional, kind, and transparent. Diagnosis was very thorough with pictures and descriptions of the recommended work. Ultimately the labor rates were too high, so I took my truck to AAA to get the actual repair on my AC completed.

My car is a 10 year old car with over 104965 miles. It needed several items to be taken care of and technicians at Murphy’s auto care identified maintenance into immediate needs and things that may be planned for future. The technicians did a test drive, replaced my very worn tires, fixed the hatch issue and door issue along with regular maintenance. During the whole period, Eric was in contact with me, explaining the inspection details, accommodating my questions, providing me courtesy transport (Kevin & Dave), and delivering the car completing services on time. My car broke down in Beavercreek on a Wednesday. I recently lost my mechanic so I was super stressed. I came accross Murphys during a basic Google search while stranded at the gas station. Just the calming voice of the dude on the phone made me feel comfortable bringing my car in. They got me a tow in less than 30 minutes! The text to phone breakdown with photos the next day really helped me understand the problem and what needed to be fixed. Overly convenient! Not even close to overpriced. I will go back and have already referred others. Stellar spot!!

I recently took my older Toyota Camry in for service and someone had recommended Murphys to me. At other repair shops, they may fix your car but I never leave feeling like I understood what they did or that they really had my best intentions at heart. Not at Murphys Autocare. When I called to schedule brake service, Eric talked with me over the phone for a very long time to ask me questions and to ensure he understood the problem. Then after fixing my car, they gave me a full, detailed write up of the service they performed, gave me photos and videos of areas my car needs attention to in the future (but not pushing sales). The experience was incredible and the customer service was best in class. I have since taken my other car there for service and had the exact same positive experience. Im never going to another auto repair shop again - Murphys is the VERY BEST!

I took my Lexus to two other mechanics before Murphys and neither could figure out the problem. Murphys got right to it and fixed it perfectly the first time. Murphys Autocare is modern auto service. I was very impressed with their operation and attention to detail. This is the first shop in a long time that I felt very comfortable that my car was in good hands. Between the text message updates and being able to see all the details of each service visit on the web service they use (which is very cool), it makes you feel like you are truly involved in every little detail about your service visit. I dont think Ive ever said this about a shop, but I actually look forward to bringing my vehicles in for service.Update:My wifes cars battery light came on yesterday while I was at work and I did not hesitate to instruct her to head straight to Murphys because I knew they would take care of her. I was not disappointed. They ran a diagnostic and, long story short, they identified a recall with her 2008 Sante Fe (and a few others) and told us to contact a local dealer just to see if they will do the work and it turns out the dealer is fixing everything as part of the recall. Murphys could have easily quoted us the work that needed done without mentioning the recall information but they look out for their customers best interest (and wallets!). Once again, I was extremely pleased by their professionalism and overall quality of service. See you all next time!

I have be a loyal customer with Murphys Autocare & Tire INC. for years. They have been completely honest, reliable, and provide professional, courteous service. Diagnostics are done by ACE professionals and they provide more than current problem. In that, current issue can and often cause other failures. This factor has proven time and again to be beneficial in reducing over all cost--less labor cost and provides a sound and reliable vehicle. They are without question the best repair facility in the community. Far in advance in integrity from a repair center not personally recommended to me. The previous repair facility recommended to me ripped me off and was not ethical and condescending which caused me to seek out Murphys.I have continued to use Murphys for all of my vehicle needs. They continue to be the best of the best. I continue recommending them to friends and family.They are professional, courteous, and have customer concerns and needs at heart.

I had to get an oil change, transmission fluid flush, and check the engine light on my car. They did all that plus a general inspection which was super helpful. The people were very nice and good at explaining the issues with my car.

I love getting the inspection reports after my oil change that help me plan my own preventive maintenance. If you ask questions they will do a great job explaining. Services can sometimes seem pricey compared to other shops, but after reading reviews of those other shops, it may be that you get what you pay for. I trust Murphys to take care of my vehicle and thats whats important.

I heard about this place from a friend who suggested we take our vehicle to be diagnosed for what I suspected was an electrical problem. I had taken my car to the Dealership 4 times in hopes of having the issue fixed with no success. We made the appointment late in the day and they were able to look at my vehicle the next day. Not only did they diagnose the problem in a few hours, I was highly impressed with their diagnostics procedures. They took pictures every step of the way and kept in touch with me the entire time! There was no doubt they knew their stuff! We def be repeat customers from now on!

I needed to have some work done on my truck which I could have done if I had the time. I was running out of time to do the repairs myself and I decided to take it to a shop. My search turned up Murphys Autocare and I chose them because of the reviews of their great service on Google. I called early in the morning and spoke with Bryan and told him what I needed to have done. He was very professional and listened patiently to the problems I was describing. He assured me that the work could be done that day. I brought the truck in and was impressed with the cleanliness of the parking lot, building, and waiting area. After arranging everything with Bryan another employee drove me back to my house which was very helpful.Bryan kept in contact through e-mail and phone calls throughout the day. He even sent the repair estimate for me to review before I authorized the work.From start to finish I was confident that my truck was in good hands. I would recommend Murphys and will send my family to Murphys for their auto repairs.

I had my transmission oil checked using their analysis service and they did a free inspection of my car. It was wonderful to find out what needed to be replaced on my car and I received an excellent description on what could happen if I didnt complete these standard recommended maintenance issues. Very happy with the service I received. My dad also loves listening to their radio show.

Took my car in for a previously scheduled oil change. I sat in the lobby for TWO HOURS waiting for them to finish. If I was a walk-in, this MIGHT be acceptable, but calling the day ahead and making an appointment? Absolutely not. Dont trust the other positive reviews, they have stuff all over the office asking and encouraging people to review them. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

My 13yr old daughter recently participated in a tour/demo with our homeschool group. They were really great with the kids and taught them quite a bit.What a great business to take time out of their own day for kids in their community.

I appreciate that the employees were willing to work with our group after hours in order to teach teens about auto care. I feel that this business cares about the community and strives to give back.

Wow, what a great service. Murphys is the place to take your car if you need help fixing it. I had problems with my A/C, and they took me in this morning and by 330pm, it was fixed. They sent me a text an email and left a voice mail when they diagnosed the problem. Superb customer service. I asked around town and they were highly recommended, was told they are a little bit more expensive than other shops. It is worth paying the extra and get the great service that they provide. I dont think there is any other car repair shop in Dayton that can match their customer service and repair skills. Honest people. I will definitely return if i ever have issues with my car. Diagnosed with failed window motor wanted $600 for a 20 minute job I did at home and it wasnt even the motor it was the bad control switch ended up spending 250 on a part I didnt need spent another 115 on the part I actually needed and still ended up cheaper then what they would have charged me. From someone that works random hours, Murphys works with you and makes it as easy as possible to schedule appts. They are honest and upfront about costs and final prices often match initial estimates. No steps are taken without your prior approval.Most unique to Murphys though is that you get an emailed report with pictures of your cars parts and is color coded in severity of needing addressed- immediate, recommended, suggested, etc. They will run through the report with you in laymens terms. Much appreciated.I had a shop around the corner to my house that I could walk to and I chose to drive across town once I found out about Murphys. They go above and beyond!

Pricy in my opinion, but you get what you pay for in quality advice and attention to detail.

I’ve been looking for an independent automotive garage to have our cars serviced. I have found it at Murphy’s Autocare! Great experience with friendly knowledgeable staff that have been around a long time. I received an email first with a detailed estimate with pictures and explanation of what was needed to repair my truck and that was followed shortly after with a phone call to go over estimate. Repairs and routine maintenance were listed and ranked in order of importance so I could easily decide what needed repaired right away and what items I could wait to have done along with advice on each item. Getting auto repairs done can be very frustrating but the experience I had was top notch! Thank you Dave Murphy and staff who all helped me.

Today was my first time having my car serviced at Murphys. Im always pretty nervous about mechanics because honestly, I know very little about cars and you always hear people being taken advantage of. More than anything, I want honest and open conversations when getting my car fixed. They were able to fit me in on short notice after my tire blew and Ryan never made me feel silly for knowing so little about anything car related. He was very nice and understanding.The prices were reasonable (plus supporting a local business feels better than large corporations) and Ryan was upfront about the total cost. I look forward to seeing if this service and trust continues! Thank you for patience, quick service, and help. Im still nervous about dealing with car stuff (I secretly wish I could sell my car and bike EVERYWHERE!!) but I hope continuing to come here and having positive experiences will help with that!

There are no words to express how happy we are with Murphys Auto Care. We have been going to them for many years with 4 different cars (between ourselves, son, and mother) and have had a positive experience every single time! My Wife and I have received great service from Murphys Autocare. When unable to stay at the shop, they took my wife and kids home and picked them up when our van was ready. No extra charge. They are tedious with the inspections they do on the vehicles and send an e-mail with photos of everything they look at. Reasonable prices, and courteous service. We recommend them to our friends and will keep coming back because of the good job they do and the care they give their customers.

Murphys Autocare is the best! I took my car to them at the last minute when I thought the transmission was having major problems. Luckily they had a rental available so that I could still get to work while my car was in the shop! And, they very kindly didnt charge me for the rental when I needed some significant work on my car. Service doesnt get any better than that! I also especially appreciated that they told me everything that needed work, how much it would cost, and which jobs were urgent or least essential so that I fit the work into my budget over time. Ryan and Kevin are friendly and helpful, and willing to take the time to explain whats going on with a car so that a total lay-person like me can understand! They offer professional service with a smile, and do a great job!

I love the entire operation that Murphys Auto Care has. We take all of our cars for the work that needs to be done. I like the way they put all the repairs on an as needed basis and give me a timeline on when I should do each one. They are reasonably priced and work quickly. Rarely is the car needed to be kept overnight. I can drop it off, go to work, pick it up on the way home. Best of all - they talk to me as they do any other customer. They have never talked down to me as a women.
