Had a good day today I got my teeth cleaned and got my impression done to straighten my teeth back into place. coming here to Exceptional Dental was the best decision I have made to get my smile back. I love the staff and the dentists here are wonderful

My wife recommended Exceptional Dental, and now I discovered my daughter goes there, too. During my first visit, four people wonderfully assisted in my needs. The receptionist arranged for me to complete the extensive paper work during my waiting times in the dental chair. The dental assistant expedited the x-rays. The dentist thoroughly examined for TMJ, gum disease, etc., then interviewed me about my concerns. He returned with an estimate for the improvement I need. Then, the hygienist cleaned my teeth leaving me confident. As usual, I am rewarded to listen to my wife.

Today was my first visit and I was impressed with the professional atmosphere, friendliness and competence of staff. Dr. Bourg was thorough and explained in detail the work needed. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth gave me the best cleaning I’ve had in a long time. I am delighted I chose to visit this dental practice and will be referring my family and friends to them.

I told them to fill the cavities my insurance covered. That meant two. The Dentist filled THREE AND ASKED ME HOW I WAS GOING TO PAY THE REMAINDER? Mind you he did this...without asking??? Like I walk around with a minimum of hundreds of dollars? A week or so later....this practice called me....to schedule the remainder of my fillings...to pay out of pocket? I had to REPEAT MYSELF THAT I DID NOT HAVE 100S TO 1000S OF OUT OF POCKET MONEY FOR ADDED DENTAL...I AM DISABLED. NEEDLESS TO SAY...this practice doesnt care if you are disabled/medicare/food stamps. They drill your mouth...extra...withoUT permission...and ask YOU WHO IS PAYING...??? EVEN AFTER YOU WERE CLEAR TO DO ONLY AS INSURANCE SAID....AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE...PATIENT MILL....

Excellent service. Dr M is awesome. This is a first class office. Everyone is friendly, courtious, professional. Hygienist, assistants, receptionist are skillful and very helpful.

Hoping this office gets better soon. Ever since the change to Exceptional Dental, things have gone downhill. It was also around the time of Covid, so I’ve brushed it off as people still learning and training, but everyone needs to get on the same page. There seems to be a lot of people traveling from other offices as well that do not know how to work the equipment at this particular location. Yesterday I received a dental cleaning from the dentist. I understand he is no hygienist, so the finesse was not quite there. However, he scaled my bottom teeth and told me he would have the girl come in to polish the bottom...then he would do the top. She came in and immediately started polishing the top. I explained to her that he only just scaled the bottom. She proceeded to do both the top and bottom saying he prob just didn’t need to scale the top because there wasn’t much there. Once she was finished, guess what? He came to scale the top. I work in veterinary medicine and we do dental cleanings on pets, but teeth are teeth. You scale and THEN polish. When a client is telling you what went down in your mouth, take the time to listen or ask the doctor what is actually needing to be done.

Very professional and extremely friendly! I have a special needs child and they have worked to make her feel comfortable and happy! She absolutely loves to go in for her appointments!

Usually my cleanings here are quick and without issue. Today, I waited for 30 minutes to be seen. I then a series of mishaps take place during the cleaning (including being hit in the head with the tray).

I went and had some fillings replaced that were in my front teeth because they had darkened. After being replaced the fillings were larger and somehow darker, and looked very obvious. My new dentist said these fillings looked 10 years old when I had them done just a few months ago. I paid this Doctor Dental a large sum of money and the rest of the work they did was fine, but I wouldn’t go here if any of the work you need is cosmetic. I’ve since had another dentist fix them and I’m happy now, I just wish I could get some of my money back for the cosmetic part.

A possible dental problem could have delayed a significant surgury. With a no appointment drop in I was examined with analysis showing no effect on the coming surgical process with pictures and an explanation sent to the surgeon.That is pretty good . . .

Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of the dentist office as Im sure a lot of people arent. I wanted to find a good dentist in the Baton Rouge area and after seeing the reviews for Doctors Dental I wanted to try them out. Well Im here to say that all of the reviews are right! Doctors Dental is by far the best dentist office I have ever been to. The staff are all amazing. They are very friendly and make sure you are as comfortable as can be. Doctor Nguyen is awesome. Every question I had he answered them fully and made sure I understood. They also have top of the line equipment. I had a bit of work done and wasnt uncomfortable through any of it. I am beyond pleased with the outcome and would recommend this dentist to anyone over and over again. This is the only dentist I will ever see again! I also got a great surprise when I looked at my teeth after they finished!👌🏻 Thanks Doctors Dental!!

Everyone is so friendly! They really make sure youre comfortable and have everything you need. My cleaning was quick and Dr. Davenport was great with my filings!What I really love about Doc Dental that i havent seen anywhere else, is that they educate you on dental health. And not just brush twice a day and floss once a day, but heres what happens to the pH level in your mouth when you eat food and what you can to to normalize it faster so you get fewer cavities. I love it here!

I started going to Doctors Dental five years ago after moving to Baton Rouge from Texas. I have experienced the best dental care and bedside manner from the professionals and office staff during each of my 12 visits. I appreciate that Doctors Dental uses multiple methods of reminding me about my appointments, they are flexible when rescheduling is required, and they know who I am when I call and walk through the door. The office environment is welcoming and very clean and there is always great music to listen to while you are there. Although this may sound crazy, Doctors Dental has actually made going to the dentist and enjoyable experience. THANK YOU!!!!

What a great experience from start to finish! Julie helped me with my insurance, I was a little nervous and Stephanie made me feel very calm and comfortable. My treatment plan was explained in terms that I could understand exactly what was going to be done and Dr. Davenport calmed my nerves and did a fantastic job on my crown. Far to be a decent cosmetic dental work.The Dr. had to do a lot of rework to fit the new partial. ..at the end still bulky with uneven teeth.I was thinking...maybe they do not care how the patients denture looks.....wait!. I must admit this was the worst experience I ever had at a dentist office. If zero stars was an option that would have been my selection. The front office is rude, disrespectful, and lack empathy. Yes, I have dental anxiety and when I brought up my issues to the staff, they spoke to me in a condescending way. When discussing the treatment plan they made me feel i was a lost cause. At no point did they make me feel comfortable, they were constantly beating me down and bereating me about my issues.Here’s the kicker, I went Monday to get all my work done( I’m a working man but I was able to get off), they told me they didn’t have enough time to finish all the work I had and that I needed to return on Thursday.I returned on Thursday, still didn’t finish all the work. So now I needed to return the following Thursday. Over the weekend my teeth began to ache so I called to reschedule for a closer date. Tuesday(8/7/18) was the day I would complete all my immediate issues. I get a call today an hour *an half before my appointment* ... STILL in pain ... “the doctor threw his back out over the weekend and won’t be able to see you today— come 8 tomorrow morning” , called to confirm the 8 am appointment. Guess what that time was now unavailable now after waiting 20 minutes( I was working at the moment wasn’t able to call). 3:30 is now my appointment. I’m Still in pain.I expressed my issues to the receptionist, telling her please notify the doctor that I’m in extreme pain. Foolish of me to think they were actually concerned about my well being. I’m just dollar sign in their eyes. Their inconsiderate of peoples work schedules, they yelled at my wife over the Phone for asking questions.

After a long time of not going to a dentist, my wife and I started going here based off of feedback from friends, google reviews, and they accepted our insurance. So far, everyone has been extremely kind, particularly Amber. They have done their best to make something we historically despise (going the dentist), as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

This office is nothing less than 5 stars! From the time I entered to the time I left, my experience was extremely pleasant. The Practice manager was very professional and kind. The staff here is extraordinarily nice and great. Since I moved to Baton Rouge four years ago, I have been coming here. I did extractions, cleanings, and fillings. All of my experiences have been wonderful with no or minimal pain. Today I did extraction for my last wisdom tooth, and I felt nothing. It was magically pain free. They have a nice house plan that kept me coming after I lost my dental insurance. Thank you Doctor Dentals!

Had a cleaning with hygienist Ashley and it was the best cleaning I have ever had! She was gentle, took her time and gave me some great recommendations. She actually made me enjoy getting my teeth cleaned! Top notch hygienist!

It’s cool cause they don’t judge you for coffee stains, they even encourage it in the waiting room. You don’t even notice your gums bleeding due to your lack of dental hygiene because of all the fun you’re having. Bonus: they skip you some super secret crest product placements at the end but only if you know the secret code, “The red bear rises at noon.”5/5 would get my gums poked again.

Refuses to warranty their work. If you move away they wont do a thing for you. Their work didnt even last a year.

The office is new, clean and a wonderful patient experience all-around. Understand that all dentists are not created equal. There are very few things I want going in my mouth, and metal things/whirring machines are among the last of them. With the staff at Doctors Dental my experience was much more comforting than any other dental office. They didnt act overly friendly or too eager to make their patients feel at ease which always makes me more anxious.

I put off necessary work for years and had arrived at serious problems with my teeth and jaw.Procrastination was no longer and option and had made the situation much worse. Doctors Dental carried out the extensive work, and it was less pain, time and complication for this massive work than I had experienced for a simple extraction in another place a few years ago.Many professional offices have only a thin veneer of competence covering over and holding together a churning chaos of confusion. Time is not wasted and the costs are explained, options are offered, and the final expenses are fair, even modest. I cannot praise them enough. Make the appointment right now. My dentist fell off of my insurance so I had to find another one. He recommended one to me but it just didnt work out. So I went dental shopping on my own & found Doctors Dental. I can honestly say I could not have picked a better place. Dr. Nguyen & his staff, especially Jennifer, are phenomenal. Like most people, Im not crazy about going to the dentist. They made me feel completely at ease & made me feel like their only patient. Im so glad I found them!!!!!!

Because of the amazing experience here , I am now pursing dental assisting. Stephanie is my favorite assistant ever--- So personable and warm. Then theres the front office. When I walk in Ms. Shena(spell check) calls me by name! They numb you sooo well you feel NOTHING! LOVE MY DENTIST OFFICE!!!!!!!!

Dr. Davenport is very funny and has an easy personality to like. I am a super scardey cat, but he put me at easy. LeeAnne was so sweet and cracked jokes with me before my appointment, she even gushed over all 30 pictures I showed her of my dog. I was really scared to find a dentist after moving to Baton Rouge for college, but I was so incredibly lucky to find these guys!

The office has the latest technologies and always checks with insurer about coverage for work prior to doing anything so there are never any surprise charges. The staff are all very pleasant and competent.

My wife and I have been going to Doctor’s Dental for over a year. We have always found the staff to be professional, friendly and courteous. They have always taken as much time as needed to properly perform procedures and answer questions. They also do a great job of managing insurance claims. The facilities are modern and clean. I would highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and his staff. UPDATE 7/2016 - A recent Account Manager change has caused confusion and mis-information about cost and insurance coverage of procedures. We have since changed our dental provider and no longer use Doctors Dental.

DOCTORS DENTAL ALMOST LIED THEIR WAY INTO GETTING ME TO SPEND $2000!!! I went to get a normal check-up to find out that I had 6 cavities that each would cost around $300 to fix. I see the dentist every six months and never had anyone told me this before. I went to a SECOND dentist who told me I had NO CAVITIES. This place lied to me to try to get my money. I will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

They performed root canal and replaced a crown and veneer. Everyone is very nice. I get teeth exams and cleaning here also.

I give this dentist office two stars because the customer service goes as far as getting you in and having a happy first visit. I went and had a happy first visit. The first visit was just a cleaning. I then set up a second visit for my wisdom tooth that was bothering me severly. They then took xrays and the doctor came in to let me know that he can pull it. They explained my cost and everything before pulling it.He pulled my tooth successfully and i was extra EXCITED! After pulling my tooth they then start telling me how good of insurance i had and then went on to explain to me about other problems in my mouth and told me that they should be done right away. I agreed and explained to them my extremely tight schedule between being a Full Time Student at a University, and working a Full Time Job. Not only that, i explained the pay out of pocket cost was a little expensive for me as for I am also a Single Mother. They explained how they understood and we agreed to upon doing one at a time but very spacious dates. I scheduled the appointments and the very first one, i called them and explained to them within a weeks time that i wouldnt be able to make it. They tried helping me reschedule and i explained to them that i did not want to reschedule and i cant make it again. I rather call back when I am certain. I then later the next week recieved a call from a Male, it did sound like the doctor himself and usually the receptionist are females and he literally told me You NEED to either come the next day even though you called in a week before or later on if you schedule an appointment youll have to put a deposit down from now on to even schedule one! Not only did he say this but his tone of voice was very RUDE. I just hung up and called back a week later and explained what happened because I HATE to switch people with anything that i do. I Love to stay with one person or place because everything is already done from paper work to knowing their previous work on me or with me. The receptionist acted as if they didnt have any males receptionist and that the doctor doesnt make any calls on his own. I did have a cleaning appointment that was made 6 months in advance and did go to my cleaning appointment months later and they took more xrays and told me that it was a part of the services. They then had a different doctor come in and explain to me about my teeth, I asked them about the other doctor and asked his where abouts. (They literally did not be true and they told me he was not working there anymore and they had a new doctor, but i literally saw him enter the room next to mines upon exiting) and i explained to them what happened over the phone again and told them that i will later call them and make an appointment. I also explained to them that the out of pocket payment did not seem right because it went up $250 more for the same problem. They literally told me that i had to come to their office and make the appointment because they needed a deposit and told me that my insurance changed thats why the payment went up, which that wasnt true as well. I just went on to tell them okay and left it at that. I WILL NOT be returning to this crooked Dental place. Of all my years being an Adult i have NEVER heard of Dentist taking Deposits before an appointment and then paying right before or after the appointment has taken place. I have heard Money Hungry ones like this though. I understand working and putting in the time and youll deserve it but to be as rude AND try to charge extra AND put an extra hassle on someone with a deposit is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

They have the best equipment, great staff, and first rate service. They filled my first cavity and did a great job explaining everything that went on as well as the preventive procedures I could do.

I recently relocated to this state Had an very bad accident needed emergency care only by the grace of GOD i was led to this office!!!! Wonderful first impression!!! Very professional, empathy, and concern for my circumstances.in my opinion,they bent over backwards for me .....it was late in the day and right before the july 4th holiday!!!!!they took much time just to make sure i would be taken care of properly...Also all the work of the crown need was done at the office so that there is not time wasted waiting for the prosthetic replacement!!!!!Execellant staff...Highly recommend.....kc
