Craig and his son are two of the nicest, honest, hardest working guys I have ever met. I had an estimate for brakes a few years ago and it was about $1500. I went to see Craig on a whim to get a second opinion. He told me immediately that there was a very small chance the estimate I got was remotely accurate. When it was all said and done. He repaired my brakes for half the money. Hometown Auto is the only repair shop I will visit. Craig is always available and is extremely helpful anytime I go in to see him.

Fantastic place to work with. We were in the area camping when the truck brakes started grinding. They were able to squeeze me in and finished within 3 hours. Not only that, they shopped around for parts to save me some money.

It was my 1st time going there, my grandpa always has his vehicles worked there and is truly Impressed with them there. We pulled up in my new car that had some tire pressure issues it was giving a code on the dashboard and the gentleman there stopped whatever he was doing at the time and checked it out for me, and then fixed the small issue in a split second and sent us on our marry way.Thank you!!!

I called when I discovered a screw in one of my tires. They were very accommodating and told me to come right in. The tire was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Great customer service, very friendly and their prices can’t be beat!

Poor work, poor customer service. Edit since youre lying, you did not offer to fix this issue, you were very rude & basically told me it was my fault because my vehicle almost has 200,000 miles. It was less than 3 months & if you fully replaced my egr valve I shouldnt be getting an error code stating it is not properly seated/built up carbon deposit. If you fully replace my egr valve i shouldnt have issues with it when I told you I have a 1000$ budget & tell you to fix what you think is best for my vehicles performance & you went over the budget I gave you of 1000$ & charged me hundreds of dollars just to fix my tpms sensors instead.

Whatever level that exceeds above and beyond is the level that Craig starts at. Ive had heating and battery issues so far this year, and every time Ive called Craig hes bent over backwards for me, from getting me in same day, and excellent communication to picking up and dropping off my vehicle at my work. Service like this cant be captured in a star based rating. Thank you, Craig!

Owner never answers the phone, has an attitude & overcharged me. He also made things very complicated, I had problems with my egr valve after getting it fully replaced, asked if he could help me out & he acted it very rude!

Did you run something over and have a tire losing air? No appointment needed. $15 & a few minutes later, youre good to go!

My daughter goes to school in Baraboo which is 2 hours from home. She purchased a battery at a chain store but they could not install it due to restrictions and policy issues. Craig is a great guy who knows his cars. When I lived in Baraboo I always went to Hometown Auto because I knew I would get charged for the actual cost of the repair and that he would do a good job. He is reliable and a fun character. As well, he runs a good business and is professional about his work. He took the time to walk me through the issues with my vehicle and helped me become more knowledgeable too. I really appreciated the extra details. Compared to other auto repair services I have received, where communication is slow/nonexistent and they charge me exorbitantly for a mechanics time, Craig charges very fairly and gets the work done in a timely fashion. Great business!

I had to go to Texas for a funeral and needed my truck looked over before the trip on short notice Craig said he could fit me in, the next day I tried to start the truck to take it in and it would not start, Craig fixed all my problems and even sent the truck to another shop to get one of the issues fixed so I could get on the road on time unbelievable service people like this need accolades I will be back for all my mechanical problems

My teen daughter visited Craig last week to replace a tail light and to check over a noise in her car. Craig is awesome! We were stranded outside the Dells on one of the coldest days of the year. Hometown fixed our Toyota and provided a warm place for our family to wait while Craig worked. He was fast, accommodating, caring and honest. Due to the emergency of our situation, he could have overcharged, but he didn’t. Craig even called us on our way home to make sure everything was working with our car. If we lived anywhere close Baraboo, we would take all our cars there!

The bad reviews are all fake people, you can tell by the generality of the comments. Likely the competitors trying to hurt business.Hometowns service is top notch! I take all my cars there, from my 1968 Impala to my 2006 Acura, and have had nothing but exemplary service. Great service, great speed, great prices and trustworthy service. Worth driving 15 miles to go there as opposed to some of the closer local shops!

Hometown Auto Repair helped us out when we were in a pinch, at the last minute, and with the utmost care and respect! I only wish we lived closer to Baraboo so that we could have them as our regular mechanic.
