After leaving Devil’s Lake state park, we had an unexpected problem with the car. 2 women who had stopped to help, suggested to take it to Jeff’s right away. We tried to drive it but had to pull over again and called the shop. The shop promptly called to get us a tow into town. When we got to the shop, we were greeted with a warm and professional hello by Jeff and his team, and they started work right away. We were invited to wait in their front desk area which had the coolest vintage decor. There were old gas station signs, tires, a traffic light and a cool work uniform. We had been traveling with our dog and they were so nice and accommodating by letting her wait inside with us (it was about 90 degrees out). We were only there for about 2 hours and our car was ready to go! So lucky we were referred here, absolutely great experience on what could have been a terrible ending to our trip!!

Jeff will have my business FOREVER! He went over and above to help me with my car. I brought it to him because my car was loosing power(no get up and go) and it had been consuming oil. After I dropped it off he called me within 2hours with his diagnosis. He recommended I take it to a dealership because it was under warranty and I could possibly get a whole new engine. The dealership took 2 days and me fighting with them to figure out what Jeff did in an hour and they couldn’t tell me why my car was consuming oil. So with my faith in the dealership gone I called jeff to have him do the repairs. He asked if he could talk with the dealership himself. He helped lead me to the best decision for me and he didn’t have to! He had been paid and the car wasn’t at his shop! I am so grateful for him!!!

This business saved us some hard cold cash and tons of aggravation. I recently bought a new-to-me used car. It looked great, ran like a top and was a good price for a low mileage small SUV. I brought it in when the check engine light came on indicating: an oil change and to rotate tires. I dropped it off and they said the head gasket was leaking and the tires needed to be replaced. I took it to the dealership and they confirmed that the head gasket was leaking and that the tires were not new as they had indicated on the sale. It was still under warranty so I left it to be repaired. So fortunate that I had a mechanic who helped me before my engine blew. Having a trained mechanic truly blessed me.

Had oil leaking in my car that I would need to refill every week or so. Took it to another place in town and they said I had to replace my transmission lines that cost around $1,000! Im so glad I called and stopped by Jeffs Auto to have them take a look after work one day. To accurately assess the issue with your car, you need to take it in first with them so they can properly diagnose and give a timely estimate. For mine they were able to figure out what was wrong with my car the same day.They were able to diagnose the problem with my car as a worn out gasket and broken oil housing associated with it. Turns out that the oil that was leaking had coated my transmission lines as I drove at higher speeds instead of them being worn out and leaking also. Even installed a new can of new oil for free with my repair! Jeffs Auto saved me around $900 with their more accurate diagnosis!If you are looking for somewhere that will do a more detailed inspection with your car or trucks issue and also be very fair with their pricing for the work that needs to be done for any repairs needed, trust Jeffs Auto to do that for you as they did for me.

Jeff and his staff are phenomenal!! Our vehicle broke down on vacation through Wisconsin. We knew no one and had no clue where to go. We called a local Ford dealership in town and they provided us Jeffs contact information. Although an unpleasant situation for us, Jeff and his staff took the time to inspect our vehicle and called Enterprise to assist us in securing a rental vehicle for our trip home to Indiana. Jeff and his team went above and beyond what we ever expected! Their kindness, professionalism and compassion with us made a tough situation so much easier!! Passing thru Baraboo on a short road trip. Check engine lights and brake lights came on. I was able to drive to Jeffs shop. Called for a price quote and Jeff told me he wasnt interested in doing the job. Didnt expect that...Said it was too much workUpdate to review: My truck is only 9 years old, had under 100k miles at the time, and a simple diagnostic would have shown the fix was simple. Took my new mechanic only a few hours to fix a part behind my stereo and have my truck back to me. You refused for my sake? That makes no sense.

Make sure to get a quote. Will take advantage of you. Had some work done sometime ago to my vehicle and will NOT be going back. Typical sketchy mechanic who is nice to your face but goal is to take advantage. Also, very prickly person over the phone and won’t let you get a word in and when you do his only goal is to tell you how what you’re saying is wrong in an effort to try to exert some sort of twisted superiority.

Recently had my brakes done on my vehicle. They did an excellent job, great customer service, and reasonably priced. 10/10 would highly recommend! ☺️

Had my mini van break down and I am from out of town. Jeff got me in when 2 other garages were too busy to even look at it. He got me in that afternoon and fixed by the next day. He kept me well informed the entire process. Informing me of what he had found so far and the process he was taking to remedy the problem. The price, service and time were above and beyond my expectations. Would return for services if ever I need them in the area again.

Had excellent service from Jeffs Auto Repair. My rear brakes locked up on the Friday before Christmas and my normal repair shop couldnt get me in until the following Friday due to the holiday that week, so they referred me to Jeff. I called Friday morning and explained my situation and Jeff told me to bring it right in and hed work me in. I dropped my car off to him mid morning and since I had to work that day he gave me a loaner car to get to work. He called me a few hours later with an estimate and had my car all ready with new rear brakes by closing time at 5:00!......and Bonus.....Very reasonably priced as well!! So thankful!!!

My air conditioner seized and was burning up my belt. The car was smoking. I brought it in and told them when I needed back. It was done sooner. The noise stopped and it runs smooth. Only thing I can say bad was that there were finger prints on the interior dash but I just wiped them off. No big deal. Its understandable. I do need shocks soon and this is where Im taking my car.

Took our Nissan Rogue in for a noise and found out the transmission was shot. He came very close to the estimate when we picked it up. Super nice guy and his son is learning the business right there with him! He let us use one of his vehicles for 2 weeks at NO CHARGE while ours was getting fixed. I would highly recommend him for any repairs you might need on your vehicle!

While on leave, I was involved in an accident with my truck and had damage to the front end that made it hard to steer. I told Jeff I needed the truck road worthy so I could get back to Tennessee before my leave ended 2 days later. I knew it was almost impossible looking at how many cars were in the lot to be fixed. Jeff told me he would do what he could to get me home. He had my truck fixed and aligned by 300 pm the next day and it drove better than before the accident. I went in there to get my heater fixed. Took him two seconds, he Did Not charge me, and informed me of a tranny problem. Super nice guy and not looking to rip you off.

Got in right away luckily. My exhaust fell right off, they me going enough to get me home. That’s all I wanted. Saved me a huge headache! Seemed like good honest guys.

My Prius suddenly malfunctioned and became not drivable right outside of Baraboo on my way home to the Twin Cities. After spending over an hour figuring out what was going on and being turned away by a number of repair shops in town, I was directed to Jeffs shop. I walked in mid-afternoon on a busy Monday, and yet he was the only person in town who showed any interest in helping me. He went way above and beyond to get the part needed to fix my car. I went from expecting to stay overnight in Baraboo and missing work the next day to being back on the road and home safely that same night. Jeff was kind and knowledgable, gave me frequent updates, and ultimately did an excellent job that saved me significant time and money. Thank you, Jeff! This place has told us on two separate occasions that are vehicle was junk and that he would give us $100 and he would scrap it. He then tried to sell us a vehicle he had there at the shop. Both times we took the vehicle to another mechanic and found out it was very fixable. This company is horrible and a bunch of crooks!!!!!!

Jeffs Import and Domestic Auto Repair is the place to go if you are looking for an honest, helpful, and competent mechanic. I had gotten a bad oil change from Walmart which ruined my motor and Jeff gave me great advice and worked with me until I had answers from the Walmart insurance company on what I needed to do next. Everyone I talked to in Baraboo had nothing but good things to say about this business. Said he would never sell you something you didnt need. It is hard when you are a stranger out of town and needing work done. He had a loaner car I was able to use until I was able to get a rental car a day later. He brought calm to a rough situation. I would recommend him to anyone needing a good, honest mechanic and if I lived in Baraboo, he would be my go to guy.
