We really like Mercedes and Clarabelle they always do my sons hair. These ladies are amazing.The thing I didnt like was that the guy barber wasnt wearing a mask. He was talking up a storm. The sign on the door literally said to wear a mask.

Great, friendly staff! I always walk in with a short wait. Most importantly, they are professionals, that ensure I look sharp every time I leave. Sometimes I come in on my lunch break, in my professional work clothes, they have the clippers with the vacuum attached to ensure no hairs get down my collar or on my shirt. Then they took the extra step to blow additional hair off with a small airhose (I have not seen that anywhere). Lastly, after the quick straight shave to clean me up, they wiped down my neck and face with a warm towel, a terrific way to relax and end the experience. I have used multiple barbers at Barrys and the experience is consistent every time I have been. I appreciate the small things in life and I like to see, when I spend my hard earned money to treat myself, people do go out of their way to make it an experience for the customer. I tip my hat to you Barrys! Well Done

Mercedes does a great job. I was one of her first customers when she started at Barrys. Its nice to see her moving up to being an owner now. Great prices and all the people do a great job.

Great environment, a little on the quiet side (good or bad). I was immediately greeted and felt welcome. The haircut wasnt anything difficult just a med fade but I also had about 3 inches on top. I was grooming a comb over look and he executed it well, used blending techniques i usually have to explain at other places (Great Clips). Over all clean, fast and worth the price.

Really solid place. The staff that was there is really friendly.I had my beard trimmed and shaped and she really made sure she knew what I wanted. She took her time and you can see the focus.I recommend.

Update 11/17: Some barbers have cycled out this year, and a few of their replacements arent as skilled. You can still get a great haircut, but it depends who serves you.They clean up the edges with a straight razor. Be ready for a long wait on Friday and Saturday.

Always a Great Cut

Some girl was there probaly cutting her sons hair.We walked in about 6:23pm. Crunch time I admit, never the less she told me they are closed because its 6:30pm. I told her to look at the clock hanging up on her wall it clearly said 6:25PM. She said that clock is set 5 min back...All I say is honor the closing time, and if you chose not too, at least lock the door so no one has to listen to your lies.Damn clown

We just moved to the area. My son has been going to a traditional barber shop instead of a kids hair cuttery shop since he got his first hair cut, and we have never had any problems. I saw this barber shop on Google and thought we would give it a try. Well, now my sons hair cut is so uneven and we will have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The guy shaved his head very far above his ear on one side and his bangs were cut in a diagonal line. It is so far above his ear that I am thinking about just shaving his head. The guy also cut his ear, which I did not notice until later. I do not recommend this place.

My husband and son get their haircut here often never had a problem until today. What ever problems your staff maybe going through is not okay to take it out on customers. This lady was rude and unprofessional the min my husband walked in. Looks like its time to move on to a new barber. That behavior is unacceptable and never should they make customers feel uncomfortable

I moved to Avondale in 2010 after getting off active duty with my family and newborn. When first going into this place the barbers were good, cut was smooth and even stayed loyal to one until I guess he ended up quitting? After going back a couple of times 2013 until present and even with my son who is older and noticing a lot more things this place has REALLY gone down hill and not family friendly at all.Not sure if the owners (main barbers) work only mon-fri but with me getting a new promotion and only having the weekends off my options are limited. Saturday and Sunday have turned into the Ghetto and whoever the high school teenager from la joya high school and ex convict are that cover the weekend are PATHETIC! Dont bother bringing your kids or little ones into this place with those two cutting, (R-rated movies nowhere suitable for a toddler to be watching, F-bombs and cursing being dropped consistently, even when asked to watch there mouths since my little one is in here they laugh and continue.)I understand this is a barber shop and not a daycare but come on, really? Like I said this place was once a place I could go with my family but I have not been back since April after my last visit with my toddler. Srs Barber Shop by BWW west of Dysart Is a pretty good substitute. Funny because my first time was today and mentioning everything posted on here, He said I was the 4th person to come in and say the EXACT same complaint about the EXACT same two people weekend cutters. Funny how word carries fast.
