Our Neighborhood recycling didnt get picked up when. When we called they said the driver didnt work that day but if we want we can pay $40 for a different driver to drive over when hes finished. Why should we pay extra for your driver calling off.

Have had this company for a few years and they have been great. They are cheaper then companies in neighboring towns/ previous companies and in my opinion give way better service. My garbage guy never leaves a mess. the streets are always clean when they leave and I’ve seen several drivers drag cans back up to my elderly neighbors homes from they street.

Called today because I have a question regarding my bill, take note that I was on Kirk Rd. in St. Charles driving to Aurora. I was on hold for too long then call was dropped when I passed I88. Called again trying to get a hold to anyone at Aurora Groot, thanks god I got home safe but still nobody answered on the other line. Calling the attention of the City of Aurora, IL. Please find another garbage company who can service us better.

Horrible company!!! I use a trash can that I purchased myself because I only pay about 20 dollars to throw my garbage out each month. The drivers broke my trash can, and the company says they are not responsible for my trash can....and that I could pay that 53 dollars a month for a huge garbage can that I wouldnt need, or I can go buy another garbage can. How are they not responsible for THEIR DRIVERS????? Horrible company, even worse customer service. Waste management was much more accommodating when their employees broke my trash cans. If you dont have to use this company, I advise not to!!

I called today at 4:45 to inquire about one of their services, they never picked up the phone. I tried again at 4:55, after being on hold 10 minutes, they picked up and immediately put me back on hold. Then at 4:57 they disconnected me. What part of Closed at 5:00, do they not get? Not 4;45 or 4:55 or even 4:58! 5:00 means 5:00!!!If we closed even 30 seconds before we were supposed to with my company, we would be fired!

They missed my garbage pick up then had to argue with them to pick up the next day and they wanted to charge me $40 service fee. Proved it was their fault they said they would pick up on Friday.. never did. Horrible company to deal with. I would vote or sign anything to get their contract with Aurora canceled

Number of issues since since Groot took over our garbage collection this year. Trying to get garbage bins delivered and the garbage picked up is like pulling teeth.After the initial issues, they did resolve the matter. I reached out to Bev (Manager) at Groot. Bev was very professional and did resolve the situation quickly after the call. Thanks!

Got a roll of dumpster from them and it was supposed to be picked up Friday the 23rd and it’s still in my driveway when I called yesterday they said they would send someone out and guess what ITS still here. If you want a roll off dumpster I recommend going somewhere else the one the gave me has holes everywhere and is barley put together.

When we moved to our new house, we ask the smaller bin, we were told someone will come to pick older one that the previous owner had and bring a new one. However nobody showed up that time, I called them back, they told me that, in Their system it shows that it was exchanged for smaller.I told that it wasn’t and rescheduled again for them to exchange. Guess what? Nobody showed up again.But we were billed for the big bin, and I called them today, the excuse they used is that the bin never was outside when they came to exchange. Which is not true!!!The customer service lady was insisting that whatever notes she has on the file those are correct and she is not willing to revise our bill.This is so frustrating!

Poor service for scheduled residential trash pickup. I had to call in at least three times for the same driver and file a complaint with the mayors office. Lazy driver who does not want to pick up waste with a sticker up to their required 50 lb limit. Driver doesnt care if trash lands onto the streets, he doesnt get out and pick it up.

Company stopped collecting all items outside the containers without notifying customers. When called they said, we sent out a computer generated call. I asked does that computer leave voicemails. Because I didn’t get a call or notice. I had carpet replaced and had the sections cut and rolled for disposal. I placed these items outside for pickup. Which did not get picked up. Then it rained. The village cited me with a warning to remove the waste. Now I have wet potentially moldy carpet in my garage! I called and asked can I drop off. They said yes. But for $68.00. So I have to pay extra for a service I already pay for? And I am willing to drop off myself! Since they as a company decided to stop collecting without proper notice.When calling the telephone operator was rude, interrupting, unapologetic and scripted. Not answering questions. Just robotic in response and saying the same thing over.Will be switching my service!

Done with them not emptying the recycling tote completely. You left it half full this week. You need to shake it to get all of it out. I’m putting all my recyclables in the regular garbage from now on. You can fetch it there.

You need stickers for yard waste, which is annoying enough. Whats worse is that nowhere listed on their website actually sells them. And you cant pay cash or just have the service guys automatically charge your bill extra based on your address, so its 2019 and youre forcing customers to resort to literally littering.

Two weeks in a row now, Ive had extra garbage bags with yellow stickers NOT picked up. It takes numerous phone calls to find out why. On top of that I have gotten 3 different reasons why it wasnt picked up. I think Im following your rules, but no matter how I pack the oversized bags, the bags are not picked up and Im left with the garbage.

The only reason theyre getting 1 star, is because 0, or negative numbers werent available. Drivers pick & choose what they will & will not pick up each week. And God forbid you have to call & try to reach a representative! Theres a really good chance that you will sit on hold until your young children go off to college! Representatives are typically rude if youre fortunate enough to reach someone, almost like theyre doing me a favor by speaking with me. Every supposed odd piece of garbage has to be called in beforehand and usually incurs additional fees. This is a company that is supposed to pick up your garbage, right?? Absolute TRASH of a company!!
