Nothing worse than buying a new house and having several extremely hot and humid days in a row and your air conditioning unit breaks down. Being new in the area, had no clue who to call or ask anyone for a reference. After googling and reading reviews, called AHCS and Dave answered my call. I bought portable air conditioners in order to get some relief on these really hot days. David assured me that that I had about 4 years left on my old unit, and all I needed was some coolant. Called American this weekend when the air conditioning went out. Of course during one of the hottest weekends. They responded to my call within minutes. They diagnosed that a small part in the compressor needed to be replaced. The air conditioning was up and running so quickly. They were very reasonably priced and could not have been friendlier. I’d highly recommend American Heating and Cooling. My 20 year old a/c unit was running very poorly and couldn’t cool my house. I thought I’d have to spend the money to have it replaced, but Dave was able to fix it much cheaper than expected and now it’s blowing ice cold air again. We had an old furnace and air conditioner that another company told us needed to be replaced. We checked with a few companies to get quotes. Dave was the only one that wasnt just looking to sell as much as possible. When he checked the furnace he said that it still had years of use left in it and didnt need to be replace. He did recommend replacing the AC which we did. He was scheduled to come out and replace the AC unit, but it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the summer. The weather was going to break the next day, so he called the day before and asked if we might want to move the install date until the following day when it was going to be cooler, so we wouldnt have a nasty day without AC. It was great that he thought about our comfort. When he did the work it was done quickly and very professional. Great company to work with. I would highly recommend.

Needed urgent furnace repair, called one of the other big name service companies...had a 5 hour service window and was charged a service diagnostic fee for just coming out (understandable).But then they gave us a really high quote for the job (parts and labor), with no guarantees of when the part would come in.American Heating and Cooling, was half the price, they had the part on hand, and also made it out in about an hour or so after the first call. Would definitely use them again.

As a first time home owner back in 2003, I knew little to nothing about how to take care of the furnace or air conditioner. The home was new and I figured, everything in it should just work. Laugh! You do need to service things. When it was time, I called a few people to come out and either they were too pricey or trying to sale me things like a new heater or air conditioner way before it was time. I finally got David Cerri, owner of American Heating and Cooling Specialists and have used him since that time. Not only did he teach me how to service and take care of the furnace and air conditioner, he never overcharged me, was always available, even late cold evenings when the old air furnace coil went out. When it was time, I got a new furnace in 2013 and new air conditioner in 2014. Dave installed both. He is very flexible and easy to do business with.
