I have been using PerformanceWerks for many years for all my vehicles and have always been pleased with the work and friendly service. Ive never had a complaint about work done. There new location is great and Im glad they are nearby in Naperville. Certainly easier than taking my Porsche to a dealer and less money plus you actually can talk to the person that works on the cars. I would recommend them to any person who needs work performed on their cars.

I have a BMW X5. Since it was out of the the BMW included service option, I am taking it to PerformanceWerks for all services including Oil Changes. Break Services. I also changes Alternator once. The charges are very competitive compared to BMW dealer service centers and I am very happy with Quality of service provided.

I take my Mercedes to these guys, and they have been really great. Their price might not be the cheapest among all independent shops, but if you want peace of mind, go to them. Their work is perfect.

They are always so helpful, and they always give you the best prices you can ask for. Whether it’s a new BMW 7 series, an older Lexus, or a top of the line Bentley they can do it all. Mike has saved me a fortune throughout the wars compared to what the dealers charge. And, I trust his work more. There’s no reason to even look at anyone else in the area.

I have my Porsche Cayenne serviced in Performance Werks three times. They are wonderful. The Porsche dealer wanted to charge me $3800 for the rear break service. It cost $2600 in PW. The Porsche dealer asked $1200 to replace rear door hinges. PW fixed it for $480. Also I wanted to install my own mud guards. They did not charge for the labor! They are very friendly people and the office is like a yoga place, clean and neat......... I strongly recommend them.

Best service for high-end vehicles uses OEM parts for repairs and is a certified Bentley repair shop. Have only been getting my 2010 BMW 535xi repairs done here since my first visit. And from what I can tell they have no problems dealing with repairs that involving dropping down BMWs complex xDrive. Prices at times have been 50% of what a dealer would charge. And I can personally say they show their appreciation of customer loyalty. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable of all of the cars they service. Ive always been able to get my car setup within an appointment within a day or two and they always have finished my repairs in an exceptional amount of time. I normally have only worked with Mike and Justin and they are phenomenal. My most recent visit I worked with Vic for the first time and hes is just as every good as everyone I have worked with here!

Very nice people, but not competent with BMW autos. I have invoices for 5 months of their effort with the same issue. They spent quite a bit of time chasing a fundamental engine issue. I spent over $2000 for them to guess at solutions. I guess thats the guarantee, you spend more and well keep working on it. I was realizing they were over their head and asked about their diagnostic tools and learned they were knock-offs!I had more experienced mechanic evaluate the car issue and he immediately identified the problem.Nice guys, but they rely too much on meters and diagnostic tools. They are probably OK for simple straight forward issues, but if you need a serious mechanic you may want to push your car to next mechanic.It sounds like others have had the same experience. Incompetence is not selective.I rated them a 1 star - I spent lots of money and got lots of new parts which didnt resolve the problem.

Ive been taking my Audi A8L to Performance Werks for over a year now, and it has been nothing short of exceptional. Let me explain.Certainly you need to have a competent mechanic working on your car, but what sets these guys apart are their HONESTY and PROFESSIONALISM. I brought my car in recently for an oil leak, but the extent of the issue was a bit more than what met the eye. After providing a quote and timeline, Mike offered me a loaner car for no extra charge and let me hold onto it for the entire duration of the repairs.While repairing the oil leak, a secondary issue of engine misfire was identified. Instead of gouging me with extra parts and labor costs, Mike worked with me to find a fair approach to managing the secondary issue.In the end, he took care of spark plugs some ignition coils all while waiving a ton of additional labor. This was an unnecessary gesture but speaks to the value Performance Werks places on their customers and relationships.No, fixing euro cars isnt cheap. But in past experience, Ive paid equal or more at amateur shops for less competent work. This place is the real deal and I couldnt be happier to find a shop that I trust and can rely on.

We have taken our Lexus to Performance Werks Aurora/Naperville for a few years now. Viq & Mike is VERY knowledgeable and professional. Lexus of told on my RX350 there is steering fluid leak when I have 50K miles on it, but when I took it to Performance Werks, they said I do not need any repair. I have 110K miles and I have not done any repair for the steering fluid leak. not only that I dont even any oil leak in my garage. I highly recommend Performance Werks.

I was looking for a good shop to work on my BMW, other than the dealer. Read the reviews and decided to give them a try. My X5 has a high pitch noise when driving in gear, was concerned it was transmission. They looked at it told me the belts need to be changed, I thought great better than a transmission. When picking up car noticed high pitch still there. They looked at it again and said water pump, I had them change it. Took car home and the high pitch noise got worse as I drove back home. Called them, I was told they stand behind their work. They looked at it again told me power steering pump needed to be replaced. Before I let them do anything, I took it to the dealer, turns out it is the transmission. Spent over $1,000 with performance works that I didnt need to.

Took my car here about 1 year and half ago..My 07 BMW X3 would not start. Saw excellent reviews on this place and decided to have the car towed here. Spoke with Blake and his diagnosis was engine is bad and needs to be replaced. Went ahead with his recommendations and had the engine replaced.Update. 1 year and half later and forking over $6500 to this shop. Car now has oil leak. Took it to local shop in Texas (we moved) and diagnosed oil leak due to valve cover gasket and oil filter housing ~ est. repair cost $1600. Mind you this should have been replaced along with all other gaskets when performing engine replacement. Should valve cover gasket and oil filter housing LAST more that a year and half?BEWARE! Always check their work! Unfortunately, I did not as we were busy with moving to Texas.

I bought a 2012 Audi Q5 late July and brought it into PW for the 85k service, and to have an engine light issue checked out (As I pulled away from the dealer after purchasing, the engine light flicked on and they advised me to take it to a shop. Not what youd expect after purchasing a new car but, hoped it would be a minor fix)PW diagnosed the problem an emissions issue, stating it needed a new air pump-$1000 fix. Not the news I wanted to hear b/c in a few days I would be moving permanently to CALIFORNIA, and obviously driving the car. We told PW (Justin) to do a VERY thorough check on the car and iron out issues with the air pump b/c I would be making a 3000 mile trip in a few days. They assured me it would be checked out. When I went to pick my car up the next day, everything seemed to be fine, no engine light.2 days later, I start my trip to CA, engine light turns on again. I call PW and tell them I have no choice but to bring the car in again because I NEED to leave town. They agreed and said it was probably just a connection issue - it was not. The workers had installed a FAULTY pump (how this happens, I have no idea. I would hope any new parts they put in a car would initially be tested BEFORE installing). The problem now - they claimed b/c it was a Sunday and no shops in the area were open, they wouldnt be able to find a new part before Tues. As my car is filled with everything I own & sitting in their shop, Im rethinking my moving plans. Luckily, they were able to find an Audi dealer that was open and had a part available. They told me it would take a few hours to install it. Of course Im not happy about this b/c Im meant to be on the road at this point, but I would rather have the problem completely fixed before I start driving. Few hours later, everything looks great and Im happy to say goodbye to PW...but the issues dont stop here.Now Im on the way to CA, and stop in Albuquerque for the night. The next morning Im about to leave, engine light turns on AGAIN. At this point I know its the same issue. I take it to an AutoZone where they scan the code for free and quickly. Once again, the same issue with the air pump pops up. I call PW to tell them the news AGAIN. Justin says he doesnt know what the issue is, but hell connect me with a shop in CA for when I arrive, and theyll help me with the cost of repair if its an issue with their scope of work (should have gotten this in writing). Nice of him to do, but the shop he connects me with is at least an hour away from where I told him I was living. Annoying, but nbd.Once arriving in CA safely, I take my car to the new shop right away. They diagnose the problem as clogged valves the air pump connects to-ANOTHER $1,000 FIX. Of course I expect PW to pay for this since it is related to what they were quoted to fix, and Justin had SAID they would cover. Its something they should have picked up the first 2 TIMES I took my car to them anyway. However, Justin says they wont help pay for any part of this b/c it wasnt a direct issue with the air pump itself..? Seems ridiculous they could install a part without ensuring the full system is clear and functional. (*Ill also add Justin had said if you were still in IL, we would do anything to help you, but thats not the case WHAT? You OFFER to spend your time and money to get the issue fixed if I were in town, but as soon as I leave, you dont front me the cost for it, and suddenly its not your problem anymore? Doesnt make sense*) After many phone calls, explaining my frustration, PW agreed to refund me the labor cost for their job - $250.Now that I have saved enough funds to have the real issue resolved with this new CA repair shop, Ive just received a call that the clogged valves have damaged the pump PW installed. Unsure at this time if a new pump will need to be installed, but PW has caused me at LEAST $1000 worth of ADDITIONAL issues.I would never recommend PW to anyone. Ive been dealing with this problem for 3 months and still am extremely upset with how PW handled (or didnt handle) the situation.

I have a 2013 MB GL 450 and after my dealership quoted my car needing new brakes and some other work, I called Performance Werks. I spoke with Vic, whom was very knowledgeable and accommodating. After they looked over my car for the repairs the dealership said it needed, Vic called me and told me I did not need new brakes and told me why. They had the other repairs done that day for about half the cost the dealership quoted me. They have gained my business for life! I appreciate the honesty and integrity from this company and Vic provided the best customer service experience for me.

Justin was great and very knowledgable about M3s. I am not local and needed a PPI on a car so I called up Justin and he was able to look at it within a day and give me great advice. If I was local to Chicago I know id be a regular.

A+ shop. They service premium imports without charging premium rates. Theres an impressive number of certifications on the walls for Bentley, BMW, and more. Its nice to see that ambition and desire to do things the right way.I typically work on my BMWs myself, but always bring them to Mike and Blake when its a tough task...they always come through for me.

I have been taking my cars (BMW, Audi, Merc) here for the last 6 years. as soon as the prepaid dealer maintenance period is over. Performance werks has provided great quality service at a fair/reasonable price on a consistent basis. They are very knowledgeable and highly experienced when it comes to Luxury european cars. I have recommended them to 2 of my colleagues, who now use performance werks on a regular basis.As an example, the dealer told my wife that we need to spend $1800 on recommended transmission service because it had 35000 miles on it. When i asked Vic about that, his reply was to print out the official service recommendations sheet, walked me through it and showed me that the recommendation was to do that service at 60000 miles. And if he were to do it, it would have been around $1000.Knowledge, quality and integrity at a fair price.

It’s the biggest scam ive ever encountered, charged me thousands of dollars for work and parts i did not need and probably tampered with the electronics to run codes. If you know anything about cars stay as far as you can away from this place!

Great place to get your BMW repaired. They did the brakes on my 335i BMW at about 2/3 the cost that BMW was going to charge me. Also pointed out some things that BMW wanted to do, but they told me were not needed and saved me a lot of money. Very honest...not something you find these days in Naperville or Illinois. Will continue to take my BMW there and the wifes mercedes.

I needed pads and rotors and a few other small things for my s5 stumbled across this place on Google gave em a call. Told Mike what I needed he said hows Wensday which didnt work for me so he said drop it off tomorrow put your keys in the lock box which I wasnt to happy about but luckily when I got there another guy was there locking up the place and was able to put my keys inside. Picked my car up the next day alls well saved me over $1,000 bucks from the dealership great service, no hassle, good work!

This shop is AWESOME! I bought a private party 328xi and was trying to address a slight shimmy. Had a horrible experience with a local tire shop breaking both hubs when over tightening the lugbolts with an impact wrench. The shop corrected that, but the shimmy was still there.Took it to PerformanceWerks and Blake took his time and thoroughly addressed the situation..did some research and got the correct adapters for my wheels which were missing. Aftermarket wheels so it was difficult to determine the right adapter size and he spent a lot of time making sure the measurement was right for a $5 part...and he did not charge me for that addl. time.He also allowed me to use his own extra set of wheels and tires to test drive my car to rule out my wheels and tires. He has a very intelligent and methodical troubleshooting approach.The addl work I needed (shocks, rear diff leak etc) was VERY reasonable as well. Not only does this shop have cheaper labor rates than a dealer, but they prove over and over that they are honest and truly care. He also takes his time and explains things and saves you money wherever possible. Definitely NOT shop that milks you for everything they can get. Im sure thats why they have so many positive reviews and repeat happy customers. Definitely found the import shop we were looking for.

Vic is great, but he is no longer at performance Werks. They did a repair that was unnecessary and the car doesnt run, dont bother taking your car here, nightmare situation.

I brought my mercedes ml350 in because of check engine light and transmission limp mode they were able to diagnose and fix the problem very easily and affordable !!! This is for anyone who owns foreign vehicles its very hard to find an honest shop that does quality work without the headaches these guys are by far the best shop ive ever been too!!! 10 stars good job guys !!!!thanks for your hardwork

This place has its pros and cons. Customer service needs work, and better flexibility for weekend repairs for customers who cant be car-less during the week since they have no shuttle or rental service.

Originally took my 328 to BMW (Naperville) and they provided a repair quote that was more than double of Performance Werks....the BMW dealership does provide snacks though. However, if youre interested in quality work and great prices, do yourself a favor and call Performance Werks.

Our family for years have brought all of our cars in for service at PerformanceWerks. Personal service, their knowledge and fair cost are 2nd to none, the cars run optimally from a 2014 Audi frequently driven on long winter trips, a sporty fun 2012 GTI autobahn, a dependable commuter 2000 TDI VW and previously a BMW.
