They say you get token advantage of when your a women looking for auto work, but that was not the case here. After calling 10 maybe more place to get my spark plugs done on a Ford explorer 2013 and these places were saying 400 500 dollars I think the lowest was 350 plus I had to pay for all 6 spark plugs... smoky hill did it for 260 in 2 1/2 hours, my truck is riding smooth might I add!!. They are great, I highly recommend them. This is the place I will be going to for all my needs now!!..

I have oil leak so walked in at 9am to inspect the problem. The staff told me keep my car for a day and he would inspect my car and estimate the cost. So i told him to call me back once the inspection is done so that i can come back to collect my car. Until 5pm(they close at 5:30), I made a call and he said he need to check it tomorrow. He didnt even say any excuse or sorry. So i had to run to collect my car. Wasted time in the morning and evening. Annoying because he didnt even call me to keep my car another day and it was closing time. Not keeping words, No excuses or apology. How can I trust even if he fixed my car?

Had a master cylinder issue on my work truck. They were able to get it repaired iness than two days.

At first glance, it would be easy to dismiss this as another generic auto shop but this is a cut above the rest.While staff may sometimes appear terse, take it as a sign of their immense skill and efficiency. Ive had a range of work done on two vehicles and have been impressed every time.In one instance, I did have an immediate problem with a repair. Their technician arrived to help me in SEVEN minutes, and redressed the issue permanently, sending me happily on my way.

Horrible service and was charged $1000+ that was not nessessary. Issue after issue after taking it in for power steering pump repair.

So my girlfriends car went down it ended up being the battery and the alternator. After we talked I realized her battery had been bought at Wal-Mart in March of 2019, thus it was still under warranty. However Smoky Hill had already replaced the battery. She then called and they told her that they would place the battery in the trunk so we could get it replaced and that when we did that they would then give us full credit for the battery they installed and charge us $10 for the installation. Great service!!!!

This place treats me great even though I am a pain in the rear kind of customer.I have 3 old cars and theres few shops I trust as well as this one.The chassis work Ive had here has been the best Ive ever found. Most recently this place did the alignment on my Chevy Blazer - a car that in my experience most shops cannot properly align. It was part of a larger project on the vehicle. This is the third Blazer Ive owned and Ive never had one drive so well as this one does after Smoky Hill Auto worked on it.When Craig gave me the keys back, he said I saw you had new tires on there so I wanted to make sure we got everything just right. I really appreciated that. His words rang true when I got to drive home a 20 year old car that felt brand new again.The work here is top-notch and what they fix doesnt break again.Craig listens to me and doesnt do anything unnecessary or unwanted. I do not think a lesser shop would be able to keep me on the road as well as Smoky Hill Auto does.

Not sure why all the 1 star reviews for this place. Ive taken my cars here for 2-3 years. Ive always felt they were honest and nice enough guys.Hes usually back to me with an estimate in hours, and has the work done within 24 hours.Not the cheapest shop in the world, but theyve always been pretty reasonable in my opinion.

I have been going there for about 5 years after my friend recommended them. They are truly honest about the repair work needed. They never do more than is needed. One time I took the car in because I thought it needed a new cabin air filter and Craig told me that he had replaced it a little while back and that I didnt need a new one yet. Many auto dealers would just put in the $75 filter and not look out for you. Another time I took it in because my brakes were squeaking and I told them I needed new brakes. They looked at the brakes and told me that my front brakes were still good for another 20,000 miles so they only needed to do the back ones. Today I took my car in because the window wipers went haywire and were flapping all over the place and crisscrossing each other. Before looking at it I asked Craig how much he thought it would cost and he said it could be something simple or the whole wiper motor may have to be replaced. Either way, I needed it fixed. They called and said they just readjusted and tightened them and the charge was $27.50. They only do what is necessary and are always honest. I recommend them highly!!

Have gone here twice. Both times the repairs needed were several hundred dollars less then other shops around us. Very honest hard working men. Craig is friendly and knowledgeable. Will be going to them from here on.

I had them repair my transfer case as my 4 low wasn’t working. A few months later the vehicle automatically went into 4 low after it was parked. I took it back they replaced the motor free of charge. Two months later I use 4 low one time and I can’t get it into 2wd now. Thanks guys!

I called other shops for my clutch replacement on my 92 Toyota pickup SHAS beat them all by a lot they are quick and had my truck done in a day and a half drives great it will take me sometime to get use to the new clutch as the old one has badly worn and dove it that way for awhile but so far i love it thanks you saved me from buying a new truck

Craig and his team have taken care of my mechanical issues on my vehicle for the past several years (thankfully so far that is few and far between for a high mileage vehicle :) ). I had my car towed in two nights ago, he called me promptly at 7:30 AM the next day where I explained what was going on and to be mindful I could not get my car out of gear (shifter went wack on me). He called back two hours later after they took her apart to confirm my concerns...shifter cables and the bushings needed replaced and they would be flushing the clutch and brake system as they were in need (I had asked him about this). I also asked him to check my drum brakes as well. He gave me a great quote and advised the work would be completed that afternoon. He called again around 3:30 PM to confirm my car was ready. My shifter is now so incredibly smooth and everything rungs great! My brakes just needed aligned and cleaned for a great price too! I also recommend these guys to my friend Matt who will be bringing in his car next week for servicing at a quote that was SO MUCH more reasonable than the dealership!Craig and team thank you again for taking such good care of me and my car!

If I could give zero stars I would. These people are crooks no wonder they offer low prices on labor. $380 fix, cost me $1050 that I should have not spent in the first place.Took my truck in for a steering issue I could hear. Left it for the day and they called to say it was a snapped CV Axel. I gave the ok to fix it and the cost was $380.I paid over the phone and picked up my truck and headed straight from there to meeting. Within less than 30 secs of driving I could tell my steering was worse than ever before.My steering wheel was completely crooked. Instead of being set at 90 degrees like it should it was at 0 degrees. If you dont know what that is then Google 360 degree circle. Basically it was set on a hard right position.I also noticed my steering felt as if I had little control. Any slight bump in the road or unevenness felt as if my whole front end was going to come apart. I dropped off my truck cause I heard a noise in my steering, it wasnt cause all of what I was experiencing after Smokey Hill replaced my CV Axel.I called smokey hill auto and Craig said I would have to bring it back so he can test drive it......shouldnt that have already been done?...Dropped it off again Smoemy Hill Auto said that my steering rack had snapped. I stated well it wasnt before b/c my truck wasnt driving like that when I brought it in. Craig repliedit must have happened when you drove it off the lot.You know the repsone any reputable business would say. He said it was going to cost $975 but he would cut me a deal and do it for $850.I almost had them replace it. But I took it over to Colorado Car Care Center and called a buddy who is a mechanic in Elizabeth to get a couple other opinions.They both confirmed that they snapped it replacing the CV axel b/c they used excessive force by prying they identified the pry mark and show me the fresh snap.I went over to SHA and told them they need to make this right. He saidI am not talking any blame it was already cracked and it snapped when you drove it off the lot.Well guess what they didnt own up to their mistake and a $380 fix, cost me $1050 that I should have not spent in the first place.They are crooks and practice bad business.

As a female who takes good care of her automobile, this recommendation for honest work and great price was greatly appreciated. They actually told me the brake pad replacement I thought I needed was unnecessary at this time! I recommend making an appointment as they fill up in a day quickly, nice complex to hang out in while you wait with a Dunkin Doughnuts and nail place. I will be going back for future needs!

Got my 60K mile scheduled maintenance done. As always, great to work with and helpful. Didnt sell me services I didnt need and everything ended up costing much less than what Infiniti of Denver wanted to charge me. Smoky HIll Auto is my shop now.

Called this location by mistake thinking it was my normal shop that is full service, and an employee named Craig answered the phone and was anything but polite or helpful right off the bat. I needed an oil change, air put in tires, and my brakes checked, without realizing I had the wrong auto shop that I regularly go to. He was extremely rude in his response to me and went out of his way to cut me off. I certainly hope someone removes him from answering the phones, I will make sure to not have this mix up again.

Attempted to drop my truck off to have electrical repair done ...tail lights and dash lights arent working .The person at the counter tells me to take it to a electrical shop and claims he doesnt do that work . He referred me to a place an hour away from me and didnt seem too enthusiastic about helping me . The sign on the outside of the shop says they do electrical work along with other services .I get the feeling he just didnt want to do business with me and I just wasnt his type of customer . I dont recommend the shop

I would go lower than 1 star but it doesnt let me! Do not trust Craig or his workers, I dropped $800.00 total and brought my Subaru in 3 different times and said he fixed it each time. I had plans the next day and my car overheated and I had to call Triple AAA to tow it back to my house.

Had a hose connector issue with my radiator in the middle of my workday and Craig was able to get me in right away and out inexpensively so that I could get back to work without feeling flattened by an opportunistic mechanic. Thanks Smoky Hill Auto Service!!! Ill be bringing them my business and referrals from here on.

Took my truck in to have a simple repair (neutral clutch switch) and was told it was the bushings, inflating the repair from $75 to $325. The truck was returned to me with the electrical system completely screwed up (dash warning lights on, rear lights not functioning, windshield wiper on constantly). Called to complain and was brushed off. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP!! I will be filing a complaint with BBB.

Everyone seems to like this place, so far ive brought 4 cars to them and not one were they willing to work on. I mean how hard are serpentine belts. If you own an import, stay away.

I wouldnt never recommend this auto shop to anyone. I brought in my car for service to replace the starter and not even 1 year later the replacement starter fails. The person i dealt with was named Craig and was very impatient and rude. The shoddy workmanship and the lack of attention to customer needs has caused me to go else for for my Auto repair needs.
