I closed a clothing store and furniture store during quarantine. I have over of $60,000 in inventory in new women, men and childrens clothing. And a variety of new furniture including bunk beds, night stands and dressers. I called and made the lady on the phone aware of what I had and that I wanted to donate it all, so that it would reach families in the community. She cooly stated that she was not sure if they could accept my donation.I was actually taken aback. She stated that we dont take furniture, even if its new. I indicated that I did not know that they did not accept furniture, but reminded her that I had new clothing as well. She didnt seem to want to hear about the clothing and reluctantly took the address and entered it. See revealed very quickly, that they would not be able to accept the donation, because it was in a storage location. She stated the address was coming up in her system, because there was a dropbox there, but they would not be able to come and pick up the donation, because it was a storage facility.I questioned how they could have a drop box on the property that they come to empty and accept donations from, but they cant come to that very address and pick up a large donation at the same address? She couldnt explain, but told me to remove my donation from my storage and take it to my home and she would see if she could get someone to come out. I was totally floored. I asked her for clarity, So, Im making a $60,00 donation and you want me to make all the concessions? I will NEVER give to this agency again. Total buffoonery. Donate elsewhere...apparently they dont need them.

I made an appointment with the foundation... in hopes of giving my items to a family that needs them. However, the pick up system that I encountered cared more about their schedule and not the people who will be receiving the items. After three days of pouring rain they expected me to have the items sitting outside for pick up. I had Strollers (double and single) and bassinet... cribs... gently used baby and kids clothes... packed up in boxes, in my garage stacked nicely. I never received a time frame for when they would arrive or a call indicating they were in the area or enroute. I only got a call to say the driver is leaving.None of it made sense to me. It’s almost as if they did not want to pick up the items. If the schedule is so tight, they should indicate pick up windows... I would have easily made the stuff accessible for them and still maintain the quality of the items. The person I spoke to on the phone said they would take items that were wet and damaged due to rain. I find that hard to believe. And if that’s the stuff they are collecting for people in need they need then they don’t care about the receivers of the items. They’re basically passing junk to people... and that is awful. I really hope this was a one off type of situation and not their way of doing business.

Horrible! Awful communication! Take my advice and donate to a better company. Left my bags outside in the rain for 2 days! Valuable items that are now trash! Called to complain and the lady had a bad attitude and said they can come in 2 weeks! They may or may not come. I don’t trust them. Smh! Do better!

They are dependable but could have a 2 person in order to receive more donations

I had 3 large bags of donations for Goodwill or to drop off at one of those drop boxes near our home, but they removed the box. I had the bags sitting in our garage for 2 weeks at least. I noticed my neighbor was having their donations picked up and the gentleman was nice enough to stop at my house and take the donations. In the POURING rain no less. I didnt get his name but I really appreciated it. Kudos to whoever you were doing pickups in Cumming, GA on 2/6/20.

Horrible experience! I scheduled a pick up for things that I cleaned out during my time off. I had an original pick up date on last Thursday. I sat the things out on the porch and when I got home later that evening, the things were still there. I called to notify someone at AKS, she said she didnt have me down for a pickup. I gave her my number, address and other information and although I had all the information to sit the things out down to putting the sign on all the boxes to read AKS pickup. They couldnt find my information. She apologized and said we have a pick up time tomorrow, just leave them and we will get them before close time on Friday. Friday evening came and the items are still sitting on the porch. They did not come again. Now its the weekend, they are closed so the things are still sitting on my porch . Monday morning as I type this review, I am on hold waiting for a manager to pickup , holding now for over 15 minutes. Horrible service, will never use this place again. I just spoke with someone other than a manager whom eventually found my information and apologized for the inconvenience and said someone would pick the things up on Wednesday, 2 days from now. I guess Ill bring the things back in. Ill try and find another service to get the things , if not, Ill have to wait until Wednesday. Horrible, horrible experience!

Please do not call for donations and ask me to sit my things out by 7 am and you don’t pick it up. If that’s the case I’d put it in the drop box for Goodwill. The 1st time a driver picked my neighbors up and not mine. In this case let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. I’ll donate elsewhere. My things sat partially in the rain and got dampened. So disappointed.

Another upsetting experience. So here’s my outline. I get a call from AKS about two weeks ago seeing if I have any donations. I say yes and they call me the day before to make sure that I have my donation ready. The day of the donation pick up comes and the truck is parked on the side of the road(about 1 house away) and sits there for about 5-10 minutes. I walk outside because there was a put-put noise and I see the truck. My donations have been out since 8am(they never pick up early, ever; been donating for about a year) with AKS in pink spray paint. The truck just passes our house. So I was giving them the benefit of the doubt because I thought they’d turn around to get on the right side of the road. Nope. They don’t come back. Ridiculous. I’m trying to hold my tongue but this is the 4-5 time either they don’t show or I have to put my donations up and call again.

My husband for this company about 6 month , up until today. He was firer due to been a high risk for driving. With some of the donations it can be several bags or large items that require you to pull in the driveway. On this day he was driving and the other person with me was directing him back. It had been raining and this house had leaves all in the driveway. So as I’m backing back the truck starts to spin and as I try to stop it since the commercial trucked doesn’t have emergency brakes. The truck hit the client vehicle. The client also call in and inform the office that it wasn’t my fault. Did drug screening and it came back negative. On today downtown turning around in the client home where she came out fussing about not to pull in her driveway. As I processed to turnaround I hit her gutter. I call the office they say send pictures and finish the route. I did and they send me for another drug screening; it was negative. So they said they were terminated me due to been a high risk driver. When the first accident wasn’t my fault.

Delivery drivers keep relying only on GPS instead of reading street signs so they keep going to N Boundary Pl .

This organization is unique. The driver was friendly and professional. I was given a tax receipt as well. I will definitely do business with this organization again and will tell my neighbors and friends about this Non- profit organization!!!

Always have picked up donations on the day stated. Truly a wonderful service to the community in many ways.

YOU TRY TO DO SOMETHING NICE AND NOW THESE PPL CALL MORE THAN BILL COLLECTORS... I have asked nicely to be taken off the list 3 times, NEXT TIME I WILL JUST THROW EVERYTHING IN THE TRASH
