Billing has been very inconsistent for my standard follow-up appointments. Last year I was billed anywhere from $217 to $135. This year they have raised their prices and now its nearly $230. All of the appointments were with the same doc for the same reason.I love my doctor. However, it is very hard to get through to her when the unexpected happens. Some of the office staff is very helpful but some of them are not. There has been some inconsistency of the office reaching out to schedule a follow-up appointment which has previously put me in a bind.

I waited over a week for an appointment with Dr David Klein and he cancelled it the morning of with no explanation. I tried calling the office for more info, waited 30 minutes, and then the call just disconnected. Now I’m even further behind in the call log and the soonest available doctor isn’t open for at least another 1.5 weeks. Completely unprofessional and potentially harmful depending on what condition the patient is seeing them for. I would find somewhere else to go if possible. Or at least avoid David Klein.

I blamed myself for my technology experience with Dr. Sandhu, but having used Telehealth to meet with her several times since my last review, I have come to realize that the telehealth technology SUCKS. The instructions and the website are not consistent, let alone intuitively obvious. The providers are not even in alphabetical order, which is a gigantic waste of users’ time. GET NEW SOFTWARE !!! IMPROVE YOUR WEBSITE!!! My past review still holds, as far as Dr. Sandhu’s ministrations go: Dr. Jasdeep Sandhu and I have met via TeleHealth twice, but not with video yet. The Vsee software has been less accessible to me (>65 years old) on my laptop as the website is not intuitively obvious. The doc says to install the app, and I’ll try that next though I prefer the larger screen. All that aside, Dr. Sandhu is very nice, her attention and thoroughness is excellent, and her kindness and patience much appreciated. I look forward to seeing/speaking with her again.

I really like Georgia behavioral. they treat you with respect and the staff is very compassionate and empathetic and kind. I have used them for many years 2 help with some issues and I would recommend them to anyone. It seems that recently they have changed their phone set up, so that someone actually answers the phone. before you had to leave a message in a mailbox even though it said that you could speak to someone from the office. It was very frustrating because I never got callbacks or they were very delayed. One time the calls went unanswered thatt involved a medication problem and I ended up in the emergency room. The emergency answering service said that the doctor required all emergencies after hours to go to the emergency room. All I wanted to do is ask a question about how I was feeling in relation to a medication. emergency answering service, just a message to go the emergency room. And again, thats where I ended up. That said, during their business hours, I firmly believe they are one of the best psychiatric facilities in the city. Oh, and by the way, the new facilities are much more beautiful and inviting. One of their staff, Tara fountain, is a jewel and a true asset to the corporation. So far, I have found none better.

Please be aware that my issues are not with the physician, Dr Jariwala, but with the administration and the way the Johns Creek office is run. There is constantly changing staff in the front office. When I talk to someone regarding an issue they are not there when I return. I was constantly harassed by their billing company for months over a charge for a service I never received. Two different individuals said they fixed it and never did. It wasn’t corrected until I got upset in the office and the manager just happened to be there to correct it. Medical record requests were sent and never handled. After 4 weeks of waiting they said they weren’t sure what happened. When the request was resent they told me it would be 7-10 business days! It’s already been 30! No one answers the phone. I have to circumvent the phone system to get a person. Can’t make appointments or cancel appointments because you can’t get anyone. When you go to the website to schedule it says to call! What is going on there????

When I arrived yesterday afternoon for an appointment that I had made for a consult with GBHP, the first thing that they required was a drug test. I declined, explaining that I had indicated my complete medical information on my forms, that to require a drug test for a consult was overreaching, that I felt insulted, and that I was genuinely concerned about the possibility of a false positive on my permanent electronic medical record. I explained that I would understand if they would not prescribe controlled medications, and that was okay with me because I was only there for a consult. They continued to insist, so I left. I have a right to be believed, to be respected, and any professional relationship that I choose to enter should be based on mutual trust.

This chain of offices operates as a business – not a medical practice. Ive been a patient for almost two years, and I have never met with a licensed psychiatrist – only nurse practitioners or physician assistants.Providers see 20 patients a day for just 20 minutes each and are completely unreachable otherwise. The practice insists on digital prescriptions, but mine are never transmitted correctly. When I call to ask GBHP to correct the issue, Im assured it will be fixed, but it typically requires at least two more calls and/or portal messages to get the issue resolved.I requested a refill on a Wednesday, spoke with a GBHP rep. on Thursday and Friday, yet still didnt have the refill at close of business Friday. When I called the after-hours line on Saturday, I was told that they arent allowed to page providers for refills on weekends. If you cant get business done during the week, then you should absolutely be required to process refills on the weekend.Billing is inconsistent and up to the practitioner. I paid one rate one month and was asked to pay $45 more the next month because the provider put another code on the chart, despite the visit consisting of nothing more than a discussion of refills, per usual. This type of treatment from providers sends a clear message that patients matter less than the insurance payments, copays, and dollar signs they represent. With an average of five to ten providers per office seeing 20 patients per day at around $135 per appointment, I estimate that each GBHP location is making around $19,000 per day – all while the patients suffer from the poor quality of medical practice, inability to have needs met, and, frequently, lack of respect and dignity communicated as a result of this standard of treatment.Mental health patients deserve better.

I was a patient of GABH for over a year treating my ADHD. I met with Lyle Cason regularly for follow ups and prescription refills. These appointments consisted of very straight forward conversations that lasted maybe 15 minutes, usually less. Ive been on the same medication for over a year, no issues, and no need for any medical advise or therapeutic sessions. I literally just go in to get refills since it is a controlled substance and requires it. However, I just discovered that the office has been billing my insurance for more than just my typical visits. They have also been billing for therapeutic sessions which only started once I hit my deducible last year, so I never noticed the personal effect, that is until this month. Before my deductible I never spent more than $80 for a co-pay, which is still quite high, but expected. However, this year they are requesting that I pay $180 per visit, pre-deductible. On top of my monthly prescription mosts, that is just outrageous. I called the office manager to discuss the over billing and inaccurate codes but she said there was nothing she could do to rectify the charges or any future charges. So with that, i would NOT recommend GABH. I like Lyle as a professional, but the office operations are unethical, and therefore Ill be taking my medical needs elsewhere. I would recommend you do as well.

I can go on and on about my experience there but do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If you truly need help and want to get better, this is not the place for you. Receptionists are rude on the phone. Dr. McNulty is cold, doesnt listen, doesnt care, doesnt take construcive critisism well, shows no compassion or dare I say COMPETENCE. She did not give me a diagnosis - so what are you treating? Arent you supposed to find out whats wrong with a patient and then treat them? When I asked if she thinks this will ever get better, she said I dont know. Then if the meds will make it better, again I dont know. So let me tell you what I do know - she should take notice of what I told her, not get uspet about it and try harder to be a better listener, better caregiver and truly try to heal people. She broke up with me because she was upset about what I wrote about my experience there in the email they sent me. How is this a good doctor? Also, Writing scripts is not being a doctor. Pill popping masks the symptoms but doesnt treat the underlying cause. Do yourselves a favor and find a good psychiatrist. Sorry for the long paragraph but I am appalled by how i was treated there. I am a current and ongoing patient a this location. Take control of your own healthcare GBHP will not. My opinion is that this place #1 priority is revenue. I pay nearly $120 each session - out of my pocket - to see a licenses practitioner for 3-5 minutes. my insurance is billed and pays out even more! GBHP told me it is against Georgia Law to provide a 90 prescription for my medication - which is very false. This information can be found on Google and my insurance has verified this. Instead, GBHP require that I come in every month to get a new 30 day prescription ... thus resulting in more insurance payout and my out of pocket payout to them. The comments about getting someone on the phone are true. However, if you leave a message you will get a call in the same week - do not expect same day. Getting prescription refills requires much effort on the patient behalf. My prescription provider happily accepts and fills 3 month prescriptions that theyll mail to me in 30-day increments. However, GBHP requires me to call them, leave a message, and wait for the refill to be called in. Or I can submit an online request which takes about the same amount of time. Once I forgot to call in a prescription and ran out of medication. I completed an online request for a refill but was told by GBHP that I needed to come in and see the license practitioner - which was on vacation the entire week. So I went without my medication until I could come in and pay them for another visit. Not to mention I was hit with a small bill - when I asked what it was for the receptionist response was Rate Increase LOL. This is just my opinion and hope it helps someone. This is not a bad place they just have some antiquated operational practices that I believe could use a overhaul.

I received a phone call after filling out an online appointment form. I spoke to a receptionist and figured out an appointment time, and was assured I would be treated for multiple conditions during the appointment. I was asked for credit card information, which I didnt have on hand at the time, so I told them I would call back. She told me it needed to be before 5pm or else my appointment would be cancelled. When I did (30 minutes later), no one answered, so I left a voice mail. When I didnt get a call back, I called again. No answer. And once more at 4pm, when a different receptionist answered. I gave her my card information from work, which was declined (it had money on it), so I gave her my second card information (capital one mastercard), which also has money on it, and it was also declined. I mentioned that being odd, considering I had money on both, and them only taking a penny. She got quite defensive, informing me there was no way it could be her machines. I told her I had just gotten home and would run inside to grab my boyfriends card, which would take all of 5 minutes, when she cut me off saying your appointment will be cancelled at this time. Have a good day. She clearly just wanted to go home and didnt want to do any extra work or wait 5 minutes. I have SEVERE psychosis. I spent the rest of my day in shambles, because I had gotten my hopes up about finally finding a doctor that treats most of my issues. My boyfriend was finally able to calm me down.Yet today, while in Walmart, I received a call from them. They were returning my call from when I left a voice mail. I explained my appointment had been cancelled, and asked if it was still available. She put me on a brief hold. When she returned, she asked which location I made the appointment (I was unclear on that), what I was being treated for (I told her Suboxone but also that I absolutely needed to be treated for other psychological problems during the same appointment) and she told me she needed to put me on a brief hold, without explanation. I didnt mind. Until 30 minutes later, which the entirety of was spent standing in an aisle at Walmart, becoming increasingly anxious, the blaring hold music halts as though someone took me off hold, and immediately hangs up. I stood there for several minutes, appalled by this, and also waiting for her to call me back. Nothing.Ill find another practice, who actually gives a damn about their MENTAL patients. Most of which either being a sensitive self destructive time bomb recovering from addiction, or schizophrenics suffering from hallucinations that may trigger them to inflict harm upon themselves or others, or the handful of other conditions they treat.I am very sad by this experience, and hope other potential patients are not treated this way. Im hoping it was just a bad day... Or two days.

I do not recommend this group !Rebecca Pihera , APRN never listened to the family of the patient they brought in to get help after being referred . She never listened to the information presented with documentation . She knew in the medical field what serious , negative, and the devastating impact the patient would experience . She never listened as myself and my husband both came to speak with her and pleaded with her to discontinue the highly addictive medicine she was prescribing an addict ! Instead she left us to deal with the patients euphoria, paranoia, hostility, decreased sleep , no appetite and psychotic behavior as a result of her prescription . You do not treat an addict with addictive drugs !!!!!Dr. McNulty the supervising doctor over Rebecca needed to review the medication prescribed before signing off blindly .Well, the inevitable has happened as predicted and I hold Georgia Behavioral Health responsible !The once beautiful family we had , might not ever be the same . Our son was 15 months sober when he met on that fateful day with Rebecca Pihera that would forever change this brilliant , fun loving life of his .I strongly recommend that you ask questions and know what type of doctor you are making an appointment with . We have a medical crisis , a national emergency in our country and we still have these type of doctors feeding the addiction instead of helping stop the addiction !!Our son is in grave danger of succumbing to this disease fueled by a medical professional who SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.We sent information to the owners of Georgia Behavioral Health and were assured a response after my first review was posted .Nothing . Not even an acknowledgment as if we did not exist . Has not returned a phone call .Shame on them !I would highly recommend that you find a practice that is there for the best interest of the patient .Sad but not one call from Georgia Behavioral Health since they saw his picture on life support !But before his collapse area directors calling to get letter to President n CEO, saying that should not have taken place !!But life support changes . So now they back off because they are scared to death because they were wrong !!!!! They know it !!!They probably received money to fill their pockets to prescribe such addicting drugs that the FDA warns people not to use !!!!!Did the care ? He’ll no ! Not one I’m so sorry !If he dies they are just afraid of a wrongful death lawsuit !!That’s it ...They don’t care about people and how to make themWell and help them . No . How much money can we make ????????Not one phone had been made tocheck on the status of his health. NOT ONE !What does that tell you !Stay away !!!!!Do you want these people taking care of you ?HELL NO ! Run as fast as you can to get your loved one competent help .
