Our washer started rattling making noises and not draining last weekend so I scheduled a repair as soon as I could. Had to wait a week to get someone out to take a look. The rep opened the filter that I had said I already cleaned, and then ran the washer empty.I said that the issue is when there are clothes in it, that it makes a grating sound and does not drain. I began a short wash with towels in to prove that it is not working. Instead of being taken at my word, the rep said its just the noise of the water pump and then tried fear tactics to try get us to sign up for a warranty plan that would cost 650 a year which is as much as buying a new washer would cost.He charged us 99 for the diagnosis, claiming that it was working without issue, and an additional 157 for labor where none was had. He didnt even stick around to see how the load of washing did before he left and lo and behold there is still something wrong with the washer.I had to drain the washing machine yet again, and now have to run to a laundromat to address the half washed items. I am very disappointed in the service that was provided and will not be using this service ever again.

So repairmen are great. Cant complain about them. They can only do so much. The try real hard. My complaints are:It takes forever to get an appointment for service, often taking 2 or 3 or more weeks to schedule. When they finally get here for visit repairman usually just diagnoses the problem that day. Have never had an appliance fixed on same day. Never. After diagnosis first day they have to order parts. Parts can take forever to arrive and pray they order the correct part or your wait is even longer. Yes they blame alot of the delivery issues on the Covid pandemic but I can assure you this has been happening long before the pandemic. Then after parts arrive it often takes another week or 2 to schedule for the repair. Again, pray that the parts are correct or that they do not discover they need additional parts; if they do itll be another 2 or 3 or more weeks for a repair.I know this because my Kenmore Elite double oven has been down since May 2021 allbeit for a 2 week reprieve only to find the first repair was not correct. Been waiting for re-diagnosis and repair since end of May 2021. My Kenmore Elite Fridge/Freezer ice maker has NEVER worked correctly & has been currently down since approximately Jan 2021-it has had several attempts to fix it but repaira do not hold. And we have the master warrantly home an that says after 4 repairs we qualify for replacement. Well no repalcement or offer of one yet. Took from March to June to get tractor repaired. Best repair ever was air conditioner repairman who came today. Luckily I had all the parts needed from an April repair that they never came back to do. He used all parts & fixed the air conditioner today at initial appointment BECAUSE I had all the parts already.

They didnt take the time to diagnose my dishwashers problem, arrived late and were in a rush to get to the next customer. Pretty sad what has happened since Sears outsourced their repairs to A& E.

Sears should be ashamed of themselves. We told them upfront when we booked the service call, and again directly told the repairman when he called to estimate the time of his arrival, that the purpose of the call was to eliminate the squeak of the door of the dishwasher we had bought from Sears a couple of years ago. When the repairman arrived at our house later in the day, he told us that Sears does not fix squeaky dishwasher doors, and then charged us $89.00 for the privilege of telling us what Sears should have told us from the beginning. A complete waste of our time and money, and a total scam. Shame on you, Sears. No wonder you’re going bankrupt.

Service technician Jeff showed up on time and was very professional. Answered all my questions plus some. So far repairs are holding up. Problem I have is the labor cost. $460.00 for 1 1/2 hours of total time technician was here including the time to diagnose the problem. Rip off! 😡 I was also told that the $149 initial charge to come out would be applied to the charges if I accepted. So that means if they did that, then the charge would’ve cost $609.00. WOW! Talk about a scam. All that equivalent to $400.00 an hour ! Not to mention the refrigerator is only 4 years used and already had a compressor failure. I’m done with sears/ kenmore products.

The automated phone system is horrible. It wouldnt recognize the type of warranty I have on my dehumidifier. I had to make up something so I could talk to a representative. The technician who came out was great. He arrived on time, was efficient, and diagnosed the problem. He said I need a new dehumidifier, as the existing one is too expensive to repair. However, I have not heard anything from Sears since then, and when I call I end up on an endless hold.

When the second repairman came back the second time he broke a part on the front of the dryer, where the screw holds the cover on. The fourth and final time, the third repairman told me it should not affect the usage of the dryer or cause any rattling. I took pictures. He said the entire front part of the dryer would have to be replaced. I am not happy but I guess that is all that can be done. Unless Sears is just trying to save money or the contractor that does you work does not want to do it correctly. I give it no stars but it wont let me.

I received calls from technician and Sears about daily timing of appointment. Service was performed promptly and professionally. One star is too high. The Master Protection Agreement provided by Sears has several systemic problems. Although this is my first formal complaint, and is not meant to reflect on any individual or department - there is an inherent problem. Requests for repairs are usually handled in a professional manner and repairmen normally arrive in a designated 4 hour block. BUT here is where the problem originates in this case, if the tech is unfamiliar with the equipment, or states that if you do this it will work and it doesnt there is no way to report this situation. The number provided by Sears just puts you back into the automated system and when you finally are able to speak to a person, they cant help you because the service ticket has not been closed out. One person I talked to on this day (I talked to many) said they close the thickets at 5 PM EST another said it takes 48 hours and still another at least overnight, and this is just to initiate another work order. If you attempting to initiate a complaint about service with them they state that there is nothing they can do nor can they forward you to a supervisor. Between September 21st and 22nd I made over 7 phone calls trying to initiate my complaint and schedule someone else to repair my gas clothes dryer. I also did an on line complaint. I guess no one in management is ever made aware of or cares what is happening in the field. Today (September 26) I finally was able to reach a person who gave me a complaint reference number! On a positive note, I have been a Sears customer and have had a Protection Agreement for many years, and until this incident would highly recommend them for service.

This should be zero stars. The guy showed up close to 6pm (I lost a day of work waiting for the 8-5 appointment). When he arrived he was rude, basically refused to diagnose it, complained it was too old (it is still under a service agreement), accused us of using too much detergent (um, no. not even close to being correct), claimed the washer sounded fine to him (it sporadically wont drain, spin, cycle, etc. takes 2-3 hours to complete a sopping wet load). He said to make another appointment and left. Making another appointment wasnt even possible to do until the next day until he cleared out his service call. There was no way to contact his superior while he was here for guidance. We called and demanded a refund of our service agreement. Sears is going under -- for good reason. I was a loyal customer for decades. At this point, with this kind of service, Im sorry to say they are getting what they deserve. R.I.P., Sears.

The service technician was polite and professional. It was determined that the exterior vent connected to my dryer was clogged and needed to be blown-out. I was surprised that the technician was not equipped to blow-out the vent. Now, I need to schedule another appointment to have another technician come out and blow-out my vent and pay for an additional service appointment. I understand this particular service technician is under contract to service only the dryer, however this would save customers time/money and improve the overall experience and Sears brand. I honestly dont believe it would have taken that much extra time for the service technician to blow-out the vent.--He recommended using a gas leaf blower.

I recently had my 14 year old Kenmore He3 washer stop working. Instead of buying a new one we decided to have it repaired, it has been an absolutely amazing washing machine that has been trouble free. We googled what the issue was an things came up that it was the door latch that was probably the culprit. Sears came out on the first visit and even though we told them what we found on Google they told us that it was some board that had to be ordered. A week later and $400 the new board did not solve the problem, again said maybe it is the door latch. Was told that it was a different board that needed to be ordered. another week later another $200 and nope that didnt work either, again maybe it s the door latch, nope this time they tell us it is the motor. Another week and another $400 and it still doesnt work. This time they fixed the door latch and it worked. Sears your Service has slipped into the abyss, your help desk and service techs on this job were clueless. Very unsatisfied and greatly disappointed.

Now I will have to take off another day of work because common sense does seem to exist at least with this service call.Fast forward a month and find out the part was never ordered. The service didnt get the model # or S/N so he could order the right part. What happened was my order was considered solved (how?). No part ordered and no return call or email asking for the information to get the right part. Another appointment has been set. I was very persistent that the technician bring the part or it will be a wasted trip. Lets see if they can get it right this time.To finish this story another tech had to come out and get the model # of the stove so they could order the part. They cant bring the part with them and when sears sells you a stove and you purchase a service contract the model # is not stored in any database. The part got ordered and we finally received in late January 2018. I have been a loyal Sears customer since 1985 and have lost all confidence in this company. 4 months to replace a burner on a stove. To the sears representative, your post meant nothing. The technician, Fred, was great! A stellar craftsman, knowledgeable, likeable, and clearly able to take care of any issue with my lawn tractor. If I ever need help again, I want Fred to do the servicing!

I was able to schedule a repair on the day of my choosing, and the technician was prompt, calling 15 minutes ahead. He found that two springs were broken on my 8-year old Fisher-Paykel dish drawer. He didnt have parts (not surprising) and ordered them to be mailed to our home. Another technician, equally prompt and friendly, came after the parts arrived and fixed the appliance. I was so impressed, I bought the whole-home warranty, as all our appliances are 8 years old.

This service was an annual maintenance service. The technician was professional, polite, and time efficient. The appointment was kept within the scheduled time and a telephone notice was given that the tech was on his way. Very satisfied!

This repair was a nightmare from the get-go. It was difficult to get a service date for at least two weeks. The technician who was supposed to come sustained an injury on the call prior so we had to reschedule. On the rescheduled appointment, he diagnosed the problem but didnt have the part so it had to be ordered. Normally this would not be an issue, but because it was not our primary address we requested it be sent our home address, which is 85 miles away. When we didnt receive it within a week, I called and was told it had been delivered to the service address several days prior. Being that distance away, there was no way for me to know if it had, where it had been left and because of high winds, etc. whether it was still there. I was referred to the parts department and the gentleman who returned my call was extremely helpful and promised to order the part and send it to the correct address in time for the next scheduled appointment at no charge to me. Again, when I called the following week, I was told it had not been delivered and it was too late for UPS to deliver it in time, so she put me on hold to speak to them about canceling delivery and the part would come with the technician. I called again on my way there the day before delivery and was told the part had been delivered to my home address a few days before which was not the case, so she told me I needed to speak to the parts department, so she transferred me there. They told me I had to speak to repair. Does anybody there know how to do their job? One of the women I spoke to at the 800-4-MY HOME number refused to identify herself and was extremely rude and unhelpful. Thankfully when I arrived at the address, the part was still there and, by the way, the technician didnt have it either. The technician arrived on the scheduled day and was professional. The repair has been made, but as I stated before I dont live there full-time, but Ill be checking back soon to see if its working properly. The sad part is, I live 15 minutes from the parts facility and I could have picked it up myself without half the drama.

This company has been reported to the Better Business Bureau for shoddy service, gross negligence, and overcharging customer. They never fixed our washer despite sending people three different times. They dispatched technicians with parts that didnt fit, no knowledge of what they were supposed to do and the last time they sent one guy when two were required. They charged us 3 times for the same job. They charged for a service warranty that was supposed to cover all appliances, without telling us which were actually covered. Wish there was a star lower than one. This company is no longer one that consumers can rely on nor trust.

AWFUL Experience. After scheduling the appointment on MOnday for a repair on Friday, I received multiple calls to confirm the appointment. Thirty minutes before the appointment window I received a call to reschedule. Apparently the repair person was overbooked, and the next appointment available is in another four days. The call center people were very polite, but apologizing does not make up for the fact that I used my vacation hours AFTER THEY CONFIRMED THE APPOINTMENT TWICE. I will never know if the technician is any good as I will never be calling Sears Repair again.

The repair guys were on time, professional and thorough. I was very pleased with the service I received both during and after the part was ordered. Mike and Eric were considerate to the fact that I hadnt had my washer in use in over a week and made every effort to fix it. The same part that broke a year ago needed replaced again! I was happy with the service, however, I will never buy another Sears washer or dry ever again. There is no reason why I should buy a warranty with the thought that i will need repairs every year! I am very disappointed in the Sears product.

My first scheduled date of service was postponed because the person who called said there was no tech available that day. The tech showed up on time on the rescheduled day, quickly determined the problem, and it was determined that the cost of repair was nearly as much as purchasing a new washer. I decided to opt for a new appliance. I was impressed with the knowledge of the tech and have no doubt that had I opted for a repair, it would have been completed in a timely and professional manner.

Id recommend avoiding Sears Appliance Repair like the plague. I was charged $99 dollars for a 20-minute diagnosis that turned out to be incorrect. Eveyone makes mistakes, but the 1 star review is due to Sears refusing to refund the diagnostic fee.

This serviceman was the first one I could find who listened to what I said about the fact the door of my washing machine never closed correctly. He realized the door was missing screws to hold it together firmly. It took him a few screws and just a few minutes to fix it. Thank you!
