Favorite nail salon to go to! Happy every time I leave the salon, and all techs are there to make your experience the best it can be. Love seeing Angel when I go, but am always so impressed with all the other great nails the other techs do as well. Highly recommend!

OMG I LOVE IT HERE! Binh was my nail tech and he did AMAZING!!! He was very detailed and went over and over my nails during each step to make sure they were perfect. He checked with me on everything to be sure and he also made suggestions and listened to exactly what I wanted. They offered me drinks and the entire staff was just so nice and accommodating. I will be a regular here. Definitely worth the price

I had NiNa and she was amazing. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did a very good job. I also took my mother and she loved her nails. Overall experience was excellent. Will definitely be back!

I would give five, but this visit was awful. My first visit I had Hannah and I was blown away by the amazing service and the nails she did for me. This time I had Tuan and I regretted making this appointment. I went in for a refill of a full set that had the perfect shape and length already, and for some reason he took off all my nails, in the worse way. Not only was his hands nasty and bleeding, He took the nail pliers and cut them and it ripped my nail in half. Then when sanding my nails down he cut open my skin and it hurt really bad. The acrylic nails he did are super thin and the complete opposite of what I asked for. I asked for a dark olive green and a warm gold solid color glitter . And he painted them a teal color and a see thru pink glitter. Complete opposite of what I wanted . I wanted a sharp coffin and he did my nail shape square. Learned lesson to book with Hannah instead of Tuan. He was way too rough and did not pay attention to what I wanted. Disappointed that I had to pay for a set I didn’t even want. Smh.

The salon is nice but the staff seems disorganized. The woman said my nails were too short for just an accent nail painted a different color and it “would look ugly”. My gel polish has already chipped away not even a week later. Definitely not worth a $40 manicure.

This is the worst nail experience I’ve ever had. This photo is 2 days after an acrylic gel manicure. I have 2 nails that are peeling and 2 nails that look like the polish is scraping off. The nails aren’t even the same shape, but I let it slide because I spent 3 and a half hours in here and I was hungry. But for me to have 4 nails with problems 2 days after getting it done is a problem. This isn’t even in my area so I couldn’t go back to get it redone. I called about it and was told that I can’t get a refund.......Since my initial review, I’ve added 2 pictures. The second one is my nails on day 3 and the third picture is my sister’s nails on day 4. She got her nails done here at the same time I got mine, but a gel manicure on her natural nails. They switched her nail tech and didn’t even tell her.

Extremely unprofessional and scammers. Had ongoing issues with pricing & they find ways to haggle and swindle extra money from you and make it seem as if it is accurate. Was promised my previous situation would be handled & instead they did NOT honor their promise. Definitely will never go back, most of these nail shops are trash. Go to personal nail techs who do DESIGNS, won’t cheat you & have a base price.

Really think they give a great mani pedi. Loved how my nails looked after they were done. The nail tech was extremely thorough and did a great job touching things up. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is because the mani just didn’t last. It chipped the next day, and then the entire nail’s paint came off. It’s not like I was doing the dishes and laundry. I was attending a wedding for the weekend with no manual labor. Was really unfortunate I couldn’t have a nice mani for the pictures of the wedding, but otherwise, the experience was really nice. I felt they were clean and were great about masking.

I booked online for regular pedicure service. Since holiday weekend, I came in and greeted by front desk girl and she said there’s probably a 5 mins. wait time and did offer me complimentary beverage while waiting. Jenny took me in with very warmth welcome (which I liked a lot cause my last place was ready to do attitude). She took her time cutting my cuticle and nice relaxing massage. I’ll definitely be back to this place!

Why did it take me so long to discover this gem in a strip mall? Puts the other nail salons to shame, in every way. Incredibly clean and sanitary. Very comfortable chairs. Friendly front desk and techs. And fantastic pedicure service. I went for a regular pedicure but splurged on the spa treatment, and it was worth every penny. My feet never looked better, Binh is so darn good. Walked out feeling relaxed and happy. I wont go anywhere else, and have recommended it to my neighbors. Its that good.

Do not come here. I had a nail tech who had absolutely disgusting nails & did not wear gloves. He then cut my toes & fingers multiple times - to which i bled the entire appointment. I asked to keep the same shape of my nails & make them slightly shorter & he not only charged me for that - which I have never heard of - but did not keep my shape & made them super short & ugly. This was an absolute waste of money & time. I am so extremely disappointed given the amazing reviews on here.

Don’t go here if you have natural nails. I like my nails rounded they didn’t even ask and shortened and squared them. They also don’t listen when you tell them you don’t like what is happening to your nails. Then will try to pressure you to pay via Venmo or cash app. They tried to tell me they didn’t have Apple Pay which was a lie.*** update***- I PAID with Apple Pay so they do. Which is then still a lie that they don’t.- I attached photos of the nails here. My skin around my nails(cuticles)has been cracking, peeling back and bleeding since getting them done here.- after all the coats of nail polish they put on it still chipped. Probably because they then decided to file my nails after putting a finishing coat on.- the people around me could see my discomfort and it looked like they were trying to politely raise their eyebrows at the technician.

Great place! Had tips with powder done as well as a pedicure. The manicure was not as thorough as I would have liked but overall my nails looks great and are holding up well. On the thicker side but I think that’s the nature of the color I chose. Also everyone is super nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend going here.

I really like this nail salon. Jenni usually does my nails, but all of the nail techs are experienced. They pay attention to detail and my nails come out looking really good. I get compliments every time. They’re also good with Covid restrictions, keeping patrons spread out and sanitizing. Great experience!

This is my second time at cavalry and today I had a phenomenal experience. I’ve never had dip powder manicure before, and I’ve never done anything custom. Binh was able to re-create some incredible nail art for me based off of the picture I gave him, and I am Amazed by the results. I cannot stop looking at my hands. Everyone is professional, friendly, and takes the appropriate Covid precautions.

There are many nail places in the DMV, but only one Nail Bar! The atmosphere is electric and the service amazing! Did I mention there is WINE! Parking is easy and the location is convenient! They do hair also! Love this place!

I have had my nails done twice by Anzhel. She is unfailingly professional, courteous and efficient. The salon is clean, and my dealings with the other staff is consistently positive.

I usually hop around nail salons but my best friend started coming here when we moved closer. I always complimented her nails and loved the relationship she had with her nail tech Anzel, so I went with her and Jenny and Bin were AMAZING to me. I wanted this cool design on my nails that I couldn’t describe and Bin picked the color out and nailed it right on the head, I described my pedicure color too and he picked one out that looked exactly how I described. Jenny’s shaping was some of the best I’ve ever had, I could’ve walked out with just the tips on and been great.

Danny did my nails and they are beautiful. Clean, professional and a simple process. Definitely recommend!

Will not be going back. Would give it 1 star but do not want the other workers to suffer because of one employee. Danny should not have agreed to do my nails if he did not have the right color, I booked days in advance so he had plenty of time to figure that out. You shouldn’t wait until the appointment to try mixing colors to find the right one. I instead just asked for a basic nude color and he said that they only had that color as a dip powder, which how in your entire salon do you not have that in a gel... I said okay because thats the color I wanted and he said he couldn’t do it that day. I guess because he had another client and was trying to rush me which is horrible service because I should’ve got the color I initially wanted in the first place and at the very least the color I picked out as a second option.If I didn’t have a flight to catch the next day I would’ve just told him to take everything off but since I had no time to book a different nail tech I just picked out the closest color I could find. As a paying costumer you should never have to settle for something you dont want.

Yvonne and John start this service and they had made National television show like Good Morning America, The Today Show, The view and also The Emmy of 2008. This salon offer Manicure, Pedicure, Massage, Facial, Waxing and Microblading. If you are looking for a First class services then this is the place for you. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Disappointing - I should had asked more questions. I had dipped powdered nails- they dipped my nails in container of colored powder, used a brush to brush off the excess powder back into the bottle. Its not very sanitary at all.

I found Cavalry nail bar on Instagram and immediately went to their website to book online. It was luck of the draw I got an appointment with Anzhel because she is the best nail technician I have ever encountered. She was kind, friendly, took my nail art suggestions and most of all her attention to detail is unlike any other. I left with a perfect manicure not a single flaw. I normally do my own nails at home but I’ll be back to see Anzhel because she’s worth it.

My nails look good but my appt was for overlay nails and I paid for that. I got acrylic nails with gel polish on top. I just wish they didnt offer a service they cant provide.Also you pay for services directly to the owners venmo. Kinda sketch. Venmo isnt supposed to be used for business transactions. I get it for gratuity, but not for paying the business.

This is my first time here and I am amazed!My daughter and I came for a mother / daughter manicure and pedicure for the first time since Covid.I searched online for a place that was clean and was still taking safety measures! The owner met us at the door and took our temperature and gave us hand sanitizer! There were plexiglass dividers and plastic liners and sterilized instruments.From the moment we arrived, the owner did everything in her power to ensure that we had a relaxing and wonderful experience. At one point when I was uncomfortable sitting , she even brought me a pillow!!We had Bing Ly and Tat Nguyen. They were both outstanding! They were meticulous in their work and went way above and beyond in their friendliness and care!If I could give this salon ten stars, I would!I just wish I lived locally!

We want to start out by saying thank you so much Yvonne! She’s professional, caring, and she gives out her best work to her clients. She’s precise and we have been going to her salons for almost 4 Years now, so she’s very trusting and makes all her clients very happy.

Not a good experience. Had me wait for 35 minutes after my confirmed appointment slot before telling me that my stylist was running late. Subbed me in for someone else and changed my service. Said they didnt have time to perform my initial request. However, still charged me for the initial (more expensive) service. I wouldnt recommend this nail bar if youre looking for something new.

I love this place! It’s the best nail place I’ve found since I moved here two years ago. Danny is great. He is fast and he is a perfectionist. Everyone does an outstanding job though. The place is always clean and beautiful too. They have been very strict with COVID measures. Very pleased.

Ive been coming here for the past year and theyre great! Im usually in to have a hair cut and style with Annie, who is always phenomenal. But Ive also had nail emergencies tended to with care and precision (it was cracked in the middle due to the cold weather); eyebrow accidents due to self-care fixed (thanks to Annie on that one as well); and quite a few terrific manicures! The team is warm and inviting, but more importantly, they do a wonderful good for their customers. Visited this salon for a dip powder manicure and spa pedicure on 10/10 in preparation for a wedding I was in this past weekend. I contacted the salon the next day (10/11) via their website regarding my dissatisfaction for the quality of my dip powder manicure. Not only have I not received any communication since, but my nails have all been ruined after only 6 days post-manicure. From what Coco told me, my nails should easily last up to a month or so, which clearly is not at all the case.The pictures dont do much justice because of the lighting, but every one of my nails is cracked. It looks like I have scratch marks all across my nails. Three of my nails are already chipped. My cuticles are torn up. I was going to refrain from leaving a review had the salon reached out to me to resolve this, but I feel obligated to warn others before they waste their $100+ as I did.Below is my message to the salon on 10/11:Hello,My name is Jordan. I had an appointment with Coco yesterday evening (10/10) for a dip powder manicure and a pedicure, and the polish/dip powder on my right thumb smeared right after leaving the salon last night. I noticed my thumb was smeared not even 15 minutes after leaving and turned around to come back to the salon, but when I arrived at 8:07, the lights were off and everyone was gone.I got my nails done because I am in a wedding out of town this weekend and I am not able to come back to the salon to have this fixed before I leave to go out of town. I expressed this to Coco when she told me to come back if my toe nail polish smeared. Knowing this, I would have hoped that she would have been 100% sure my nails were dry (both on my toes and hands) before telling my she was finished and having me pay (via Venmo $85 for services, $17 tip). I understand accidents happen, but towards the end of my visit everything felt very rushed, which makes me think this could have been avoided - especially given the occasion. While it might seem small, having noticeable imperfections on your hands when youre in someones wedding is very upsetting.This was my first time at your salon, and other than Cocos patience with my indecisiveness in choosing my nail color, there is nothing that would make me want to come to your salon again or recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately this was the worst gel mani I have ever gotten. The tech applied the nail polish on my fingers and once it dried she tried removing it with a nail filer on my skin. No complaints on the pedi tho.First and last time I will be visiting this location

I found Yvonne’s spa while in desperate need. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. My nail tech took her time and listened to my needs. They even offered to order an SNS dipping power color I love but didn’t have in their collection.....did I mention I was a new client!!! Needles to say I will NOW be a regular 🤗

I was having a hard time finding a good nail place to go to where I loved the outcome. One day I saw my neighbors nails and they looked great. I asked her where she went and she told me about Cavalry Nail Bar. I have been a few times now and each time its been wonderful. Its a clean facility and they have lots of service options. There are also hundreds of colors to choose from for your nail polish. Ive had different people each time and everyones work has been excellent. They are quick while still keeping quality. There is also Easy parking at no extra cost which is an added bonus.

Went around 6pm to get two fish & pedicure, front desk said no because she just happened to have feed all the fish.Didn’t offer anything else.Update: I came in the very next weekend, after my fish pedi I started to notice red dots which were normal, then two of my nails one worse then the other shallowly started to get infected. Infection got so bad that I had to go to the doctor they had to cut skin & nails to try to get the infection out. My first and last time ever going to get a fish pedi! I would never recommend this place to anyoneI’m going to have to speak to my lawyer about this.

She’s amazing, she always chit chats with me and makes me feel welcome on top of doing an incredible job with my nails every time.

Jenny was amazing!!!! I received a pedicure and she took her time and paid attention to my feet and my problem areas. I hate when some technicians just brush thru it, but she didnt and left my feet looking and feeling relaxed and refreshed. I am not from here, but will definitely request her whenever I come back thru!

Great experience the first time- Danny is beyond talented.The second time was the worst experience ever at a nail salon.I left being charged for a pedicure that I did not receive, the woman doing my nails drilled over my nail so far down that it bled, when I tried to explain not to touch my big toe the woman did anyway.... So overall I left paying for a spa pedicure that I did not recieve and in pain. I got a mani pedi the very next day. That mani pedi combined was less than the pedicure experience here (40 dollars)I also called/messaged first to see if they could help with the pedicure price mishap and this negative experience overall but they would not. Make sure you know who you are using before you go here.

Update: Nails are great to get done here but I would avoid waxing.2nd Review: Eyebrow waxing. I just left and I honestly feel a little bereft about how this went.I showed up with makeup on because this was my last stop for the day (noon) before having to go do adult things at the house. Initially, she tried to have me lay down in a sink that was covered in someone elses hair. I kindly pointed the hair out, though it was very obvious, and she found me another place.To clean the area all she did was wipe with a dry cotton ball. Im really hoping my face doesnt break out with waxing pimples because of it. She proceeded to wax and was rather gentle with the process. However there was no trimming or brushing to get them in to any sort of shape.Now Im stuck with wax still on my face and two lines on my forehead. 😂Unfortunately, I always feel awkward returning after I make a negative review. Bummer because Danny really does take care of my nails and I would not have thought this was going to happen like it did... otherwise I wouldnt have gone. It also kind of weirded me out that she was perfectly fine with laying my head in someone elses clippings and matted hair that was at the bottom of the sink.1st Review: Great experience!Im new to town and after the stress of moving across the country, this was just what I needed. The atmosphere is modern but still classic and relaxing. Everything is clean and the people are great! Danny took his time and really made sure all the details were right.I had to get boring nails, but Im excited for when Im more established with my job and can venture out.. maybe a brighter pink. 😂🙃Pricing is reasonable too! (~$90 for pedicure, gel manicure, and acrylic set removal).

This is my second time getting my nails done by Danny (the first time was for my wedding) and he did an amazing job. I travel from Maryland to get my nails done by Danny with no regrets. I have no idea why this place has such good ratings... I sounded like a crazy lady because no one could understand that the nail technician left bubble marks on my gel nails and kept applying more top coats, at the end I still had bubble marks and like ten coats of gel polish. Great interior though...

You are greeted with a friendly welcome once you walk in. Refreshments are provided and I was warmed with a ginger tea on a breezy fall day. Tina did my gel manicure and pedicure and had a smile the entire time. She paid attention to detail and made sure I was satisfied the entire time. Yvonne is personable, gracious and expresses gratitude. I loved my nail experience.

I reeeeally wanted to like this place, but I cant give it more than 2 stars. The customer service part was great, but the actual service part was not. I got a fish pedicure done. Leelee was the person I booked with and she is very sweet and nice and just wanted to make sure I was having a good experience. She was super friendly. She offered to get me food or drinks, but I wasnt hungry. Making sure the water wasnt too hot. Like the customer service part of going was great! I really liked Leelee which is why I feel guilty leaving a bad review. The fish biting my feet was a cool experience and Id definitely come back for just the fish part alone. Leelee did good with prepping my nails: trimming, getting the dead skin under the nails, etc. It was the actual nail painting part that was bad. As you can see from the pictures (taken a few hours after I got them done), there are lots of places without nail polish on it. The blue you see in one of the pictures was the old color I had on when I came to the salon. I didnt look at my nails until I got home, and if Id noticed it while I was still in the salon then I would asked her to fix it. For the price paid, I was expecting a better job. There are cheaper places that I could go to, but I really wanted to try the fish part. I do plan on giving this salon 1 more chance because like I said, the customer service part was great. I also went by myself and want my friends to experience the fish part. Ill most likely just book with a different person and will update my review after I go again in a month or 2

Cavalry offers a very wide array of services for amazing prices.They have all your standard salon fare, even hair and fish therapy? Its hard to find a salon that covers so much!They even have manicures geared towards working hands, which is pretty rare and really convenient. On top of it all, they have wine. Hospitality to the max.

When you find nail techs that you love, you will follow them anywhere. Angel and Kim are my absolute favorite and even when they are not available, I have never had a bad experience. They really take care of their customers. I am so happy with their new location - everything is new and fresh! 10/10 would recommend.

Danny is my nail tech. I’ve been seeing him for years. He always does great work and sticks to our appointment time. The receptionist is also very friendly and attentive. Shop is always clean and they play good music. Customer for life!

The new location is so nice and accessible. I enjoy the friendliness and excellent service from the front desk and all of the personnel. Surprise, they also style hair even though it is not in their shop title. I have followed Le, a master stylist, for more than 10 years. No one can touch her magic hands in keeping my locks in perfect shape. I highly recommend this shop.

Yvonne and her sister Lee are hands down the best hair cutters I have been to. Period. They are meticulous but fast and have decades of experience. I would describe them as both being experts and top of their game. I always feel like a million bucks walking out of there.

The salon is indeed spa like (nice music, massage pedicure chairs, waxing and massage services) and the technicians are all very friendly. I get SNS manicures from Coco who is fantastic! (I recommend scheduling an appointment, because she does book up.) She does a beautiful, detailed job (fairly quickly) and even helps me choose my color. Ive had SNS manicures from several places in the area, but this is the only place where they actually last past six weeks! For fun, I did the fish pedicure once, it tickles, but it did leave my feet feeling a bit softer than a regular pedi. I highly recommend Yvonnes for all your nail needs :)

Ive been getting my nails done for 15 years now, and Ive been to many nail salons in many different areas throughout Virginia. This is hands down the best nail salon Ive ever been to. As soon as you walk in you can tell it is kept very clean (including strictly adhering to all Covid regulations which was a relief for me), it is a professional setting, and above all, Danny is the most amazing nail technician Ive ever had. Hes always friendly and polite, understands exactly what Im looking for when I describe or show a picture of the nail look Im looking for that day, and was even so gracious as to keep my appointment with him when I arrived 20 min late once (northern virginia traffic ugh). Not only did he still keep our appointment that day instead of rescheduling, but he did a beautiful job on my nails as usual, with less time than he would have had otherwise to work with before his next appointment arrived. Im truly impressed with his work, and the overall experience at Cavalry Nail Bar! Oh, and not to mention, their prices are very competitive to other nail salons in this area, and highly reasonable, which is a huge factor for most people (myself included) when choosing the right nail salon. If youve not been to Cavalry Nail Bar and are in need of/just wanting to try a new nail place, I highly recommend trying this place out and making an appointment with Danny (definitely make an appointment ahead of time because it seems alot of customers come in requesting him)!

I had a rocky start to finding this place, but was helped out and had a wonderful experience getting a gel manicure. One of the best technicians I have ever had!I have very little cuticles on a few of my nails and he paid close attention to them, making sure not to cut them when they weren’t there.

I decided to treat myself and looked up a nail salon since I was on this side. After looking at the reviews Cavalry Nail Bar was obviously the best choice. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and pair me with 🎉🎉🎉🎉👼👼ANGEL🎉🎉🎉👼👼👼. She was super friend and listen to everything that I wanted. My pedi came out smooth and beautiful and my nails are perfect! I will definitely be coming back only to Cavalry Nail bar and using ANGEL

I had a wonderful experience today! My mom and I were in search for a good nail place for both pedicures and manicures (SNS). I got an appointment with Angel and she was amazing! Did everything I asked, didn’t rush, and was able to do the design I wanted. She also was a great conversationist. My mom had an amazing pedicure as well. Thank you so much! I love this place! So many dip color options! Always such a great experience and staff is always so professional, personable, and friendly! It’s also beautiful and clean! I can’t wait for them to get their wine license in a couple weeks!

Gorgeous salon! Have been a long time customer of Yvonne’s and love this new look and location. Plenty of parking and wonderful and friendly staff. They do everything too from hair to nails and waxing as well. Aivy, who is Yvonne’s daughter does a wonderful job at being helpful and serving wine all day!

First time here and had a wonderful experience! Angel did my SNS manicure, she was so meticulous and took her time. Everyone was so friendly! I have been searching for a new salon since I moved from DC, I have tried many local salons and let me tell you, this is the definitely the best spot to go in Alexandria!
