I adopted a dog here abweek ago. Mimi (as we named her) is very lovable. She is our baby and my daughter loves her to pieces. Easy to adopt and very nice and friendly people there. Also, is very economic to adopt a pet. They will give the pet to you fixed and with all the shots.

My cat is amazing!!!!! Shes such a whiner though, but I love her to death. The staff were helpful and I am glad I adopted from them. She no longer smells of the sulphur dip. UPFATE: she is still a wonderful cat! Has taken up scaring herself with her own tale and attacking my feet from under the couch.

Im getting a cat soon, great place to go. Their shelter is full and they need some animals adopted! Kittens 6 months and younger are $75, cats older than 6 months are 45 if Im correct, and senior animals or animals that have been in the shelter more than 6 months are $5! This includes vaccinations, spaying/neutering, etc. If Im not mistaken. Everyone there really works with you and theyre super nice. They have some beautiful animals that really need homes!

The staff here are so incredible! Not only are they knowledgeable about their pets but they obviously care deeply about them. I got my new forever friend there just yesterday and it was love at first sight. They are well taken care of at Lucky Paws, all of their pets are chipped and sterilized and they offer a complimentary vet visit as well. Do yourselves a favor and visit the wonderful staff and adorable animals here, you will not be disappointed!

We got the best little girl terrier from here, almost 8 years old so adoption was only $5! Shes healthy, all shots up to date, just given her rabies, nothing to do but take her home and have her fit in with the family. We love her so!Lucky Paws was super thorough and also gave us a coupon for our 1st free wellness check at the VCA (Or anywhere else we wanted). Amazing! Thank you!

Great place to find a new buddy. Weve adopted two dogs from lucky paws. They really do great work trying to find these dogs a good home. They make sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure the dog you like is going to be a good match for your household. I would recommend anyone wanting a loving companion to rescue a pup from here.

Awesome adoption center owned by the city. It is so much calmer and quieter than the city pound. So the dogs have a real chance at finding their forever homes here. It is in a shopping mall so there is usually a bit of a crowd in here, but nothing bad. The volunteers are all so helpful. I love this place.

I adopted my Beauty (formerly Gail), a year ago today... I had a heart attack before I got her...and after having her for just 4 months..my cardiologist said that my heart has went back to a more normal size and rythm...so she has helped to heal my heart.. literally...I dont know what I would do without her...The staff at Lucky Paws were absolutely awesome... really caring and interested in my situation...so interested that one of them paid the adoption fee... they even have a bed for her...I highly recommend Lucky Paws...

This place is nice and they always have cute dogs the only thing I dont like is they dont let you get a pet and give it as a gift. I understand if they dont know if the person wants an animal so they dont have to worry about having returned pets come back to them but if youre willing to take the animal no matter what or if its going to go to your home no matter what I dont see what the problem is

They had the most amazingly cute dogs. I would have loved to work there just to make sure every single one of those precious animals had a good home. You can see those workers work extremely hard for those animals. It was a very clean place considering how many animals they have.

Very friendly staff and answered all My questions. They had a good variety of dogs both small and large. They put a lot of work into an animal from healing dogs hit by a car to helping dogs with behavior issues. Convenient location to adopt a pet.

This is one of the best shelters in Albuquerque. The staff is always so nice and are really great with kids and pets, like explaining to be gentle and how to act around the animals. The volunteers and staff are so nice and take such great care of the animals.

This is strictly first impression- I did not go in as it was closed at the time. I approached the store at about 9 in the morning as I approached, I saw an employee gathering a dog on a leash. I began reading the business hours as he proceeded to lift the gate right next to me, lower it, and walk away without so much as acknowledging me. They may very well be super courteous and accommodating at 11:30am when they open

We always go look when we are at the mall and the animals look week cared for. The reason I give it a low rating is because we went in one time and they had a little hamster there for adoption. My girls asked what would happen if he didnt get a home, the worker said oh someone will take him and feed him to a snake cue screaming kids. So I chose to adopt him. The same worker told me you pick him up I wont touch that thing she proceeded to put him in a shoe box from next door and tape it completely shut (no air hole) I paid my $2 and ripped the tape off the box and took him home. We had this little guy for 2 years. I miss Dr Evil.

I adopted my dog here about 7-8 yrs ago when he was just a puppy and I still have him today. I was his last chance, if I had returned him for any reason I was told he wouldve been put down but lucky for him he is still with me to this day. Love that dog. Adopt a dog, save a life

This place is wonderful. The staff there is so caring. I went in for info for the Lucky Paws van. I told Selia how lonely and alone i was, and that I couldnt afford big adoption fees etc. Selia made it possible for me to get a cat, FREE OF CHARGE. Also gave a cat bed, cat food and litter...the other staff member Rochelle did all the paperwork,and was sweet as pie...giv giving me a big hug before I left.I cried tears of joy. Im so happy with my new fur baby 😍. I would highly recommend Lucky Paws. Thank you so much for your kindness, it meant the world to me.

Wonderful place to adopt a pet. However by the time we arrived; all of the puppies had been adopted.

They arent communicative and some staff dont seem eager to find their animals homes. There was one dog there that I had gone to visit and ask questions for several times. I brought my dog to introduce to that dog, but since it was 30 minutes until closing they did not want to do it. The next time we filled out paperwork for the dog and the only thing left was to give the dog the cat test because i have a cat. They never contacted me after that point and the next time i went to ask questions i found that they never did the cat test.

We decided to get a dog and their staff gave us a lot of information. They helped within every step of the process and even told us about our dogs behavioral problems. She was happier than ever! I recommend adopting at one of their locations.

They take in cat and dogs. Some of which are in deep need of a humans love and care. A few of the realy stuck my heart strings. 2 dogs where partially deaf and another was completely deaf. They were so innocent. It broke my heart. I wanted to take all three of them home ,but I couldnt I had my 1 year old daughter with me and too has a few disabilities, so the wouldnt allow them to come home with us. I really hope that these 3 find homes and soon. I hope the all do. The staff were so helpful and caring. They helped look for dogs in other shelter as well.

The puppies all look so sad. But I guess its a good location to get peoples attention. But it almost feels like people treat it like a zoo so it seems so sad for the animals stuck there.

Havent been to mamy shelters but i dont agree with having somthing like this in the mall. These animals need fresh air and room to move

I have no problem with the company but the worker who helped us was beyond sub par. When one mentions theres a child in the home - and it states on the notes no children around this animal, why let the adults bond with the dog just to say no. If its a no- say its a no. Dont drag things out.

Stay away from this location! Staff is incompetent and the pets history is not tracked well at all. They ask for far to to much information and are intrusive in the application process. No good deed goes unpunished. You will be the one trying to do the good deed of adoption and these people will make it difficult unnecessarily. In my mind they are scamming the public. Stay away from them.

Caring staff and the dearest animals waiting for their new home

Rude people went in to adopt a cat for my daughter and no help or even a hello. Walked around and looking at the animals in there for 15 mins. Still no help. 1 lady was helping a lady another one was just sitting on her chair like a little kid playing and spinning around on the chair. Flirting with the guy that worked there. Never coming here again. We didnt get the cat my little one wanted .. sad and disapointed.
