Shawn arrived at exactly 8AM as scheduled. This was for our annual heating and AC preventive maintenance. He worked quickly but was certain to discuss all that he did. He also advised me of possible future maintenance/ replacement. He showed me photos he had taken of our system and explained why he thought we might need additional service in the future. There was no sales pressure, just advised of our aging heating system’s future need for service.Shawn was personable and very professional the entire time. I would strongly recommend Family Danz for sales and/or service any time.

Had yearly service on our boiler last week. Dave, the technician, come and was right on time and it was a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. My wife requested his business card and we will be requesting him for furture calls.

Had Family Danz Heating and Cooling rip out the old systems from 1986. Installed a new Bryant high efficiency furnace and A/C unit along with new thermostat, whole house humidifier, UV light and filter. Salesperson Cliff was great to deal with and explained all options very well.I had 4 companies come in and give us quotes on this project. By far Family Danz Heating and Cooling and specifically Cliff Koenitzer was the most professional and I highly recommend them. I was familiar with the process and equipment. All 3 other companies tried to upsell or suggest things not needed.Install crew of Mel, Kevin and Logan were all top notch and very professional. They worked great as a team and all knew exactly what they were doing. They even went beyond what was expected and wired in my generator switch.Was quite a large investment and I am extremely pleased with the choices made and working with Family Danz.

I called Family Danz for a water heater replacement after mine failed. They were courteous and gave me a price quote over the phone and stated they would need to come to my house to do an inspection before doing the work. After calling around for other quotes, I decided to go with Family Danz. I called them to schedule the work. The person I spoke to the previous day was traveling, and I was told someone would get back to me that day. After 2 days, nobody called me back, so I just decided to do the work myself. Very disappointing.

In the spring we replaced our Honeywell air conditioning compressor with a new Bryant unit (outside) and Space Pac air distribution system in the attic. Though the existing system was functioning, parts were no longer made for systems with the coolant we were using, and we decided to be proactive.The installation was quick and smooth. It was a damp day with occasional drizzle, but all the Danz personnel were constantly putting covers over their shoes and no wet or dirt was tracked in. Replacement of both units could not have taken more than three or four hours, and we were most impressed.We became even more so when they first powered up the condenser outside. The had all their pressure gauges hooked up with the initial charge of the new refrigerant in the outside unit. They all deferred to Andrew as their Space Pak expert and within second he said to cut the power, not liking what he was seeing on the gauges.Everyone went up to the attic with Andrew on the phone with Space Pak. Within half an hour he said “I think we’re good”, we powered up outside, and everything worked flawlessly. I believe we had the newest generation Space Pak, and they later explained that it was multifunction and was set to support a heat pump, not an AC compressor. A change using the screen inside the Space Pak rectified that. I suspect the differences on the gauges were subtle, but Andrew spotted them instantly.The new combination is wonderful. The outside fan runs at a lower velocity, quieter for us and neighbors, and has a larger radiator area for better cooling. The new Space Pak is even more impressive, seemingly pushing colder air at a lower velocity. Moreover, the fan throttles up and down gradually, especially nice at night. Retrofitting an older house (ours is almost a century old) make air conditioning as silent as one built with in when the house is constructed very difficult, but this sure comes close.We are completely satisfied with the expertise, clean work, and the final product.

I dealt with Zach and Gabriella. Each were completely helpful and courteous. Gabriella patiently worked through the alternative options available for AC repair and helped me decide on the most reasonable. Zach id’d the problem, provided options and cost and proceeded to take care of business. He was so polite, answered many questions clearly and patiently and was very respectful of my home. Happily my AC is working in 90degree heat.

My 9 year old Bryant central AC quit in the middle of a 90° heat wave. All of the heating & AC companies are busy now. Bryant recommends Family Danz so I called. There was a two day wait to get an appointment but considering everything, that wasnt bad. They called this morning and said the tech was on his way. Fred arrived a few minutes later. Mel, Kevin, Mark, and Tony did a great job installing our new furnace, air conditioner, and water heater. They worked together as a smoothly functioning and efficient team. They were careful to protect surfaces when they brought in and removed equipment, and made sure to clean up the debris left over from the installation. The installation was done professionally with proper attention to detail, and it looked like a professional job when completed. The team members happily answered all of our questions and did an excellent job of educating us on the use and care of our new equipment. Over the years we have had several such systems installed. This installation ranks as #1.

Easy to schedule, installation was done on scheduled day. Installers were professional and did a very nice neat job. We had a ductless A/C and heating unit put in and we love it. John helped us find the right size and right spot for it. We couldnt be happier with the unit and installation. They fully tested everything prior to leaving and of course we played with it when they left. John followed up with us to make sure we didnt have any other questions. Love working with experienced pros!

I have an old house in Albany and I’ve grown accustomed to repair technicians scratching their heads and generally appearing frustrated by what they consider an uncommon setup. Frank had immediate ideas about what could be causing my particular issue, and a plan of action for each. His strongest instinct proved correct and he set about resolving it while explaining not only the internal anatomy of my unit to me, but walking me through what actions he’d be performing. He did this in a way that was easy to understand, and did not make me feel like explaining it was a nuisance (which I’ve sadly grown accustomed to from other companies.) He is barely out the door and I have already texted a family member and friend that are looking for skilled ac repair with a family Danz recommendation. They’ve got a new customer in me and for what it’s worth I’ll be requesting Frank by name the next time I need to schedule service!

Frankly, giving this a one star is too much. I was a potential new customer. Was treated rudely by the person answering the phones, directed to a salesperson and left a message . Call was not returned, so I called a second time. Spoke to the salesperson who said she hadnt returned my call because of a family matter. No apology was offered, just the excuse. I pointed out that my experience with Family Danz wasnt exactly a positive experience, she replied that if I felt that way, I should go elsewhere. Wow! I did respond that she was right, ultimately, I did just that - went elsewhere. Interestingly enough, a friend just bought a home ($600K+), she knew that I had been researching potential fuel oil providers and service, wondered if there were any I recommended. Guess who I didnt?

Updated my review. Install guys were excellent and professional. But I had an interesting experience with my ductless install (rare according to Family Danz technicians). So, despite the month-long battle with figuring out the issue, they did their job and followed through. The guys are great and know their stuff. Theres a reason to stick with a local company. Yes, I got frustrated but I treated them just as they treated me - with respect and patience. Thank you to everyone who helped out and troubleshooted the issue!!

Furnace wouldn’t turn on, called Family Danz at 9am Dave the service Tech showed up at 10:15 and had furnace running by 10:45am. As a customer that was fantastic service!!!! Dave was courteous, knowledgeable, We have nothing but praise for how we have been treated by The entire Family Danz team since we became customers.

My air conditioner was struggling to cool the house. I called this morning and the service representative was here by 4 pm with a heads up phone call so I wasnt stuck in the house waiting all day. Dan D., Collin G. and Kyle C. are truly amazing. They spent the day installing the ductless air conditioning in the down pouring rain. I offered to have them come back or reschedule but they were fine as long as it wasnt lightning. They were professional, clean, efficient and explained all the steps to me. They never complained about being soaked. And, they were considerate to not track in mud. They deserve an extra bonus for sure!

The whole experience was really smooth. Can’t say enough good things about our interactions with Dan D. Very friendly and honest. Really appreciated the information. He went through and informed us on how everything worked and gave us a walkthrough of the work they did.We’ve had some not so good experiences with other big brand companies in the area, so we were really pleasantly surprised with Family Danz.Some of the work on the outside left our front with a little bit of an undesirable face lift because of the AC lines that had to come down. Could just be because of the layout of our house. Either way, Dan did his best to make it work. I would just recommend asking about that first. In case you plan on installing the units in your home.Anyways, would definitely recommend using Family Danz for this kind of work.

Offered us the boiler system we needed for our domestic hot water and baseboard heat. Was onsite each day his team was here. They cleaned up behind themselves when done. Went over how the system works, how the warranty works and to call anytime with any questions. We love Family Danz - theyve installed a new boiler and a mini-split system for our house. We just recently had a toe-kick heater installed for an upcoming kitchen renovation. They provide high quality work thats done right; had one minor issue with the toe-kick install but they resolved it immediately and with professionalism. They have a customer for life in me.

Tech arrived on time or a little earlier. He did a thorough cleaning and advised that the blower motor was making a loud noise indicating it is wearing out. Plan is to replace furnace in fall. Tech was very polite and courteous.
