Dean came to my house to inspect a leaking valve in my hot water unit. He is the most knowledgeable technician I have ever met in this business. He explained thoroughly the issue at hand along with the possible options to solve it. He explained it in a way that was easy to understand (I dont know anything about heating systems) and I felt very comfortable asking questions. Hes an innate instructor! :) He was also very conscientious about COVID and sanitary measures. He wore a mask and shoe covers (which I was very glad because we dont walk with outside shoes inside the house!). He brings true professionalism to Crisafulli Bros. Alright, first thing I want to say is that I was impressed.When I initially got the quote for the high efficiency hot water heater/boiler combination unit I thought it was a bit high. Well, I spent some time with Cody and Zach and watched them do the install, truly money well spent and worth the cost. The care and meticulousness put into the installation blew me away - true professionals. They were also right on time for when they said they would be, which is a huge deal for me when working with contractors.I saw some of the negative reviews on here and I was a little hesitant at first but now I can give a first hand account of the great service I received. Of course, I still need to wait for winter to come around so I can see how well the heating works but I feel pretty confident that they will hold true to their guarantee if I have any issues, based on my overall experience.As an added bonus, the lady I talked with in sales on the phone was super pleasant!

They answered our email service request in less than 12 hours with a phone call. Our estimate was scheduled the next day. And the next day after that James came by himself and installed a tankless water heater. It took him eight hours prep to clean up. But he did a phenomenal job. That was hard work! The heater is working great. He also installed a gas line to connect our gas stove which is in storage at a later date. Kudos James! Thank you Crisafulis for courteous and prompt service!

The Crisafulli crew installed a new bathtub and bathtub surround, a new vanity, with all new plumbing fixtures for both in our main bathroom, seamlessly adapting and modifying existing tile work to accommodate the changes; they also installed a new medicine cabinet in an another bathroom. They were thoroughly professional, and took great care over the details of the work. Excellent in all respects.

My main on/off water valve wasnt shutting off all the way and had developed a leak. Called Crisafulli early Monday morning and they were able to schedule appointment for the next day.Mark arrived on time and quickly assessed the situation. We had to call Albany Water Department (AWD) to come find the curbside key to turn off the water to my house. My house is old, with old plumbing and the curbside key was deeply buried. AWD didnt give up. They and Mark from Crisafulli were great. Mark was very patient, trying to help AWD and also explaining what was going on to me and ran through some scenarios of what would happen if ... I appreciated that information.Finally got the curbside key working and Mark was able to go in and fix my valve in less than an hour. He also pointed out some pipes that could cause me problems in the future as they were very corroded. Appreciated Marks experience and knowledge. Will use Crisafulli again even if they are on the expensive side. Will definitely ask for Mark M.

Absolutely abysmal customer service and responsiveness. They came to my house multiple times to attempt to clear my main line, they erroneously put a hole in my floor trying to find the house trap. After a visit from the Manager, he guaranteed me they would fix the hole with no cost to me. It has now been 5 months and I have not heard anything and they refuse to call me back and will only route me to the manager’s voicemail when I call in. I would not recommend Crisafulli to anyone.

Emailed for furnace and air conditioning maintenance. Next day received call back from very professional staff. They were able to schedule 3 days later. John, the technician, called and showed up promptly. He was very professional, wore mask and was courteous of my house and yard. No surprise charges and any recommendations were discussed with him answering all of my questions. He was able to do the quick repair on my AC unit to make it run more efficiently that day. My experience with this company was so well I signed up for the red carpet service that they offer so I can remember to stay up on doing the services yearly.

I am 100% satisfied with every aspect of my experience. Everyone has been amazing, from the sales and estimators to the workers who absolutely crushed it. We had six trucks here, (6!), they tore out all of the shoddy work, reinforced the entire ceiling with new beams, then installed new plumbing from the second floor to the basement. All in one day! Then we had one man come and finish off taping, Sheetrocking and other installations here and he was Fantastic! A super hard worker, very friendly. The Crisafulli tech was on time, put on non-track booties to insure he wasnt tracking anything, and did a maintenance inspection of both our heating setup and water heater. Ive never heard a bad word about them and when I found myself in need of immediate service when my pool heater stopped working, I decided to call them to see if everything I heard about them was true. Well, it was! Not only did a human take my call (something rare these days), but I was immediately set up with an appointment and when the technician arrived at 8 a.m., he solved the problem before noon. And I didnt have to pay an arm and a leg. They are very fair with their charges. I feel like the technician I had was top of the line in intelligence and knowledge. It seemed like he was a miracle man. He had to figure the whole thing out first and then solve the problem. It couldve been so many different things, but he diagnosed it spot on. He even had to leave to go get the very special part he needed but came right back with it. I cant say enough about this company. If anyone is ever in need of a company they can trust, I recommend them first and foremost.

Experienced a non-functioning AC for roughly 2 weeks during the hotest time of the year. I called them around 2 yesterday and 2 gentlemen arrived around 3:30. I reside in a 4 level senior condo and repair required going through the ceiling and a ladder. They worked about 3 hours. A part is needed and must be ordered and will likely be expensive but the work needs to be done. David and Wade were both polite, professional. David called back to check on AC unit and explained about the part needed. Office staff (Erin)? will be sending a comfort specialist next week. Am hoping the needed part can be obtained very soon.

Daniel was prompt and even early for the appointed time, and telephoned in advance to say he was on his way. When he arrived, he diagnosed the problem to be in part because of the 80-year old galvanized pipes that were leaking and in need of replacement. From experience, he explained that a quick fix would not solve inherent forthcoming problems and showed me wh.. He was very courteous and articulate in a manner that I could follow. Four years ago, Crisafulli Bros. replaced a water heater that had failed under warranty. We were charged $100 because the replacement heater was a newer model. I understood. The water heater that was installed four years ago, and was also still under warranty, also failed and needed to be replaced. The replacement cost this time was nearly $1,100 for a unit that was UNDER WARRANTY (and was replaced with the same model). Im not sure how it became my problem that you installed a defective product. I was told it was a labor charge (it took 2 hours). If my new car broke down, I wouldnt be charged labor to fix it if it was under warranty. Maybe it hurts your bottom line to have to replace a unit under warranty, but passing your costs on to the customer will only lead to a loss of customers, starting with me. Shame on you, Crisafulli Bros.

Repaired leak under bathroom sink. Noel fixed the leak, snd changed parts that were old. My faucets in the sink have not worked smoothly in over 20 years. Now, they have the right amount of pressure and no leaking under sink. Perfect pressure - perfect everything! Amazing service.

Darryl performed the annual service on our AC. The AC is doing well and he offered a number of helpful tips to maintain it. For example, cleaning the vents during the summer and covering the top during the winter months can be helpful. He was very polite and informative. We appreciated his input. James was kind and extremely careful to protect my floors while bringing in my new hot water heater and removing the old because it was a rainy day. His expert knowledge quickly diagnosed our need for a new unit and the installation went very well. I was pleased with my experience with James and with this company.

No hot water. Charged me almost $100 to come out to diagnose the problem, claimed I needed a new motor and confirmed they would have it and be back to repair within 2 days. So far, its been almost 2 weeks with nothing but lame excuses. If I could give no stars I would. Dont waste your time with these folks. They used to be top notch but service has definitely declined. Such a disappointment!

Omar was very considerate, patient, thorough, and professional. He thoroughly investigated all the issues pertaining to my AC and suggested improvements to my system including adding a UV air sterilization system and a kick-start capacitor. He was very patient in answering all my questions and in discussing the different types of refrigerants. I would definitely recommend him and hope he returns for follow-up service.

I simply needed to flush my boiler and have a pot belly valve replaced on my steam radiator. Besides the quote being a 100$ Which is unacceptable the tech told us he could do the job today and then his manager calls him and says no he can’t do it today is totally unacceptable especially when you wait for these appointments. I wouldn’t recommend these guys to friends the prices are way to pricey.

I had electrical transfer switch installed for backup power. One word describes their service recommendation, workmanship and professionalism, EXCELLENT. This is the second project they did for me and as expected I had no issues. They went above and beyond what was required. My next project with them is to install the new Lennox heating system to replace a 30 year old system. I have no doubt that the job will be done with quality workmanship.

We had some concerns about our sump pump working consistently and a leak coming from the pipe taking pumped out water to exterior. Water trickles down the cement into the French drain and some on floor. Although this didn’t warrant an emergency call, a technician wasn’t to far away at the end of his day and he came to assess the situation. He recommended a plan and follow up has been scheduled. This is a work in progress and I’m confident in the outcome based on their professionalism so far. SL

Technician mark Monroe came on time, did his work efficiently and quickly. Have an older home and he was able to adjust and make changes to make things work. Replaced an old toilet and vanity. Was friendly and very personable. Had some related questions and he happily answered them all. Have been a happy Crisafulli customers for many years.

Cory went above and beyond to make sure my lines were were clear and flowing properly. He had to cut and drill through my main line to snake through a severely clogged 1/2 bath line. I felt bad when he got through and got covered from a geyser coming out of hole he drilled. He would not leave until everyone was just right with all of my lines throughout my house and flowing through to the city line on the block. My thanks to Cory and will definitely use Crisafulli Bros. for any future situations when they arise. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other companies. I was shown upfront with other services offered if I wanted but was never pressured to have them done that day. Thanks again! 😁👍

Do not enroll in priority red carpet service for AC. It is not considered an emergency and Crisafulli will not come out same day for an issue with AC. We were told, nobody else is working, and that there were too many calls, when the pipes in our basement froze over and we had no AC. We had a scheduled service in March to avoid any issues with the AC in the spring. During this visit the technician noted that the temperature on one of the pipes was 32 degrees. Which is FREEZING. This should have been addressed right then and there. We had to call in another company for an emergency visit which ran us another $400 dollars on top of the $400 we had spent to have the AC serviced in March. This company explained that the pipe should not have been left at 32 degrees. This company also had to add 3 POUNDS of refrigerant since Crisafulli didnt bother filling it up during the service, which we would have happily paid for. Our daughters room got up to 87 degrees even with fans we brought up from the basement. We called to complain, were told a manager would call us back and no one ever did. Followed-up again and argued with the receptionist who told me that it doesnt matter what another company said about the temperature. Theyre not going to refund anything even though they did not correct the temperature on this pipe when they should have. I spent nearly 20 minutes on the phone only to be told that I could leave a message for a technician to talk me through why they did what they did. As if I have all the time in the world and would be looking forward to someone wasting more of my time essentially telling me Im an idiot. Even if I am, Im furious at the way weve been treated. It doesnt matter how many times you apologize if at the end of the day your customer had to hire another service, pay nearly $1000 total on a system that should have been totally fine because she bothered to have it serviced, was only offered a condescending education session as a fix, was told that the refrigerant being nearly empty didnt matter, and that even if the red carpet program was not explained well to include the fact that air conditioning are not considered an emergency (why charge someone red carpet for this in the first place) they were just, sorry about that. No statement that they would be clearer to others in the future. All they continued to highlight was that we would have received no charge for the second visit to fix the system, IF we could have gotten in for an appointment the following day, which was a Saturday in which we had a baby shower planned, since I was 7 and 1/2 months pregnant at the time. I suppose meanwhile we were supposed to be happy with a sleepless night since our 16 month old woke up several times because it was so hot in her room. I guess we were supposed to be happy to take apart her crib and what, move it into the basement where it was cool? Will NOT be using Crisafulli in the future. Thanks for nothing.

They were amazingly friendly and professional on the phone, and to my surprise and delight were able to schedule an appointment for the next business day after a 3-day weekend!Early the next day I was greeted by a text message alerting me that Bobby was on the way, complete with a color photograph of the smiling Bobby.Bobby arrived promptly, on time, and greeted us professionally. He efficiently went about his work, communicated fully, consulted we it the equipment manufacturer, and quickly took action to fix our 2 year old problem. Hands down Steve was the best technician Ive ever dealt with give that man a raise. He came in with a positive attitude and after I told him what was going on he knew exactly where to go and what to look at. My unit being an older one he didnt try and sell me parts I didnt need. Ive had people tell me I needed a whole new unit and Steve tested everything and found out only one part was causing the outside unit not to work. You can definitely tell hes been doing this for a while and loves what he does. From now on if I ever have any issues with anything hvac related I know who to call and Im going to request Steve

My shower faucet was dripping water even when it was fully off, so I called Crisafulli to make an appointment. Although I was informed over the phone there was a $89 service charge, I was never made aware they use flat fee pricing for repairs. The 45 minute repair of the shower cartridge resulted in a $437 bill. When I asked the technician about the high price, I was notified they use flat rate pricing so that no customer is hit with an exorbitant charge. As a new customer, I would have appreciated being told this when I made my appointment. A family member just had the same repair and was only charged $200 including service fee, part, and labor. I do not recommend using Crisafulli for plumbing unless you want to pay a premium and absorb the cost of similar, more involved plumbing jobs.Update: The customer service manager, Stephanie, requested I call her. Despite my return call, no one has contacted me a week later.

Daniel was professional, curteous, and knowledgeable. While we chose not to do the more expensive fix on our outdoor water faucets at this time, Daniel gave us his expert opinion and options.

Customer service is absolutely non-existent with this company. My AC fan needed to be replaced and I couldnt get a call back. The technician quoted me a price by text and told me, take it or leave it. In fairness the technician was nice but he blamed the service manager who never called me back. If I was not completely screwed with no AC then I would have not used them. I plan on never using them again. P.s. - Im a red carpet member so imagine how they treat their normal customers.

We called for emergency service on a holiday and someone was at our house within two hours. Eric was awesome, fixed the problem fast and was very helpful explaining the issue with our drain. Excellent service.

They are just too high priced. I was charged $323.32 for a bathroom sink drain/stopper install that took the plumber about 15 minutes. What is their hourly rate and why doesnt the automatic $89.00 service call include any labor? The technician couldnt tell me the cost of the part but I looked it up and its a little less than $30.00.

He did a thorough job vacuuming out the boiler, and drained the dirty water out of the hot water heater. Omar was very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend him (and Crisafulli Bros.)!!

Called to have an outdoor faucet repaired. An appointment date and time window was set up. On the day of the service I received a call during the time window saying the plumber was on his way.When he arrived he checked out the issue and found found a couple other issues with shut off valves that needed to be addressed as well. Before any work started he quoted a price and once I agreed to it he proceeded with the job. The work was done promptly and cleanly. It was quality work that addresed the issues.

My old heating oil water heater stopped working after 20 years. I called Crisafulli Brothers for information about a new one. James Glasser arrived and suggested an electric water heater. I did some research, talk over options Todd, the service manager and I agreed on a model. They installed it the same day, with Todd helping out. Courteous, professional, neat and thoughtful. They explained everything and charged exactly what they said they would. Good job.

Hot water tank was making a lot of noise. They were extremely professional. Explained the different aspects of the tank to me, what might be causing it, and what my options were. Decided to go with a new tank and they were fantastic. Extremely efficient and a great price! Highly recommend!

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Had them to house 5 times for various issues and every time they try and upsell something. Every single time. They will never come out for a free check (supposedly included with red carpet contract) without finding something to get $1,000 from you. I firmly believe the plumbers get a commission on what they upsell you on. Every single one of them was trying to sell you on fixing or upgrading something. You say no? They call their boss and then come back and try and sell you again at a lower price. Worse than buying a car from a dealership. Terrible company.
