We hydroplaned on the interstate and alabaster police department called this company to tow our truck back to their shop until we could get it repaired. When I called alabaster police department the VERY NEXT DAY to figure out which towing company we needed to pick our truck up from, they told us and said that we were NOT allowed to pick up our truck for three days due to a report that needed to be processed by the state (by the way, I have yet to find out what “report” this was). The lady gave us a case number and said we had to have it in order to receive our truck. We waited three days, like the lady at the police department told us to do, and contacted wheelers wreckers to see if our truck was ready yet. Apparently, it was ready to be picked up the day OF the wreck. I then try to tell her our “case number” since I was told it was vital information I needed to pick up our truck and was told “um I don’t do case numbers. I don’t know what that is.” Okay.... then we go to get the truck and find out that since it had been sitting there for three extra days, the total amount charged was $670. (Even though we were TOLD by alabaster police that we could not pick it up for three days). We were on the way to my step daughters birthday party at the time of the wreck, so we gathered all of her presents that were in the truck when we were finally able to get it back so we could take them to her and saw that $20 was taken out of her birthday card. Never in my life would I think that someone could do something like that to a child. I refuse to use this company in the future and will never call alabaster police for any help ever again.

The lady that answers the phone is dry and rude!

No communication about anything. I called at 830pm (after hours) to be told it would be at least $200 for a 11 hour impound. I get there at 745am. They dont take debit, ($330 total). I go to atm return with $340 to be told they dont have change. The lack of communication is what bothered me most.

Howard wheeler is a very nice individual. He can relate to someone and a situation. They dont overcharge like everyone says, and he isnt a bad person like everyone says. I constantly use their services and everyone I recommend to use them, theyve loved them and always used them thereforth. And they DO IN FACT TAKE CREDIT CARDS, ON TOWS. BUT CASH ONLY FOR IMPOUNDS, I asked.

They take very good care of your vehicle especially the lowered and boosted vehicles and lifted vehicles as well.

If anyone driving your car in the city of Alabaster has an accident, you will not be contacted before your car is towed. FYI, the police department will have your vehicle towed by one of the two choices in Alabaster without your knowledge or consent. My daughter had an accident in my car on the doorstep of this towing company. They charged an outrageous fee to tow it less than 50 yards. The accident happened on Christmas Eve, I couldnt do anything about it until the day after Christmas so I was charged three days storage. Evens though it was moved asap. Had someone contacted me, there would have been no storage at all!! I had it towed to a local body shop less than 10 miles away. Total charge was over $600.00. Outrageous!!

The owner HOWARD WHEELER cursed me out over the phone and was very rude to me i never authorized them to come get my vehicle. I called another towing service which was pep boys which was on the way but instead before they got there Wheeler Towing showed up and i asked them are you with pep boys and the truck driver told me yes i am a d them posing as a rep for another company while my vehicle was stalled on the side of the road took my vehicle to pep boys and charged me $85 when got there revealing he was not with pep boys i talked to the owner and he cursed me out literally!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS SNAKE!!! HE IS RUDE AND A RACIST!!!! SPREAD THE WORD DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!! THEY HAVE TOWING SERVICES ALL AROUND US I REPEAT DO NOT TRUST THESE SNAKES!!!

My daughter had an accident in Alabaster last night and handed the officer our AAA card, free towing. He told her a tow truck had already been called. She really did not know any better. $750 for the tow. Dont get taken advantage of and let the Alabaster police call these crooks. Interesting how this little scam works. Wish I could give zero stars.

Expensive, decent customer service

My niece had a wreck in Alabaster. She has towing services through Geico. She called them to pick her up. Wheeler Wrecker showed up and said my niece HAD to use them because they were the official tower by the police department. The woman at the 1st Avenue office was so ugly to her she cried.

I had a wreck in the city limits of Alabaster and even though I had AAA and asked the police officer to call them to tow my car to my local mechanic, the city of alabaster evidently has a sweetheart deal with wheeler wrecker to use them no matter what coverage the driver has. Wheeler Wrecker charged me $400 and they refused to accept credit cards only cash. Typical small town Alabama crooks!

This tow company is very dishonest and disloyal! The tow driver reversed my vehicle onto his flatbed truck scrubbing my front bumper and cracking it on the far right. I immediately took pictures and video of damage. The driver tells me it can be fixed with bonding glue which was totally unacceptable and prompted me to call owner. The owner refused to handle matter advising it was not his workers fault and to do what I needed to do. I’m all about being fair and I am pursuing further action.

These low life crooks tried to charge me 470$ for towing my truck 3 miles. They are the lowest of the low and it shows in their facial expressions. They just look guilty lol. I bet they can hardly sleep at night judging from their sleezy facial expressions.

The tower of this company damaged my car, and when I called to complain the dispatcher at the alabaster office cursed me out.
