Weird feeling walking into this place two weeks before the closing announcement. Sunday afternoon, no customers, weird inventory selection, no checkout team and a chunk of the store blocked off. A helpful employee explained they were remodeling while business was slow during the pandemic. Guess there wasnt a memo yet. Good luck to the employees. I will miss this Geek outpost.

Bitter sweet. Who knew my last visit would be the last time I ever went into a Frys. Good memories over the years. Rest in Peace Frys Electronics. End of an era.I always preferred this store to the one in North Houston. Just seemed more, I dunno, grand with the NASA theme.

Great customer service! There was only one sales associate working that day, and he was at the front desk. He was so nice and showed me a binder with the 2 only available laptops to order. I felt like I needed more variety to choose from so I bought one elsewhere. It sort of felt post apocalyptic of sorts in there. I like the new eerie vibe though.

Good selection of products but many of their stock items are cheaper on Amazon. Nice store.

I bought some 120mm RGB fans, and had to get 2 different boxes and they still were broken with the new boxUpdate: did some electrical tests and found out the thermaltake fans which are the ones installed, come with a splitter making the 3 USB able to plug to one socket on the motherboard, turns out the factory splitter that the thermaltake fans came with is what was causing them to short out.

One of the last GO TO places left for entertainment media in Htown. It’s Cheap prices in here for NEW Media, I.e., LPVinyl, CDs, compact discs ( which are on there way out of here), DVDs, digital video discs (which are on there way out of here), priced low to move, for example theBrand New release for The Scorpions in CD is “Born to Touch Your Feelings” Listed at $11.99. It rang up as a nice low $9.99. Cool Indeed! Love that kind of surprise at the checkout. Thank you Fry’s. Wished you had more new releases in the vinyl area, like the Scorps LPs and in your live music discs (DVD and Blu Ray). It is getting thin pickings in here.. especially, from what it used to be when this place opened up here. What’s UP. . ? This is the retail place of turnover and constant changes. Every time I show up in here, there is a major change-up in your product showcase lineups, especially in the front of the store. From the magazine racks turned into vinyl LPs then into fridges..yeah. Brrrrr! And the video discs once King, yes, then into cologne and perfume area and, now turned into a beds and bike workout department now, WoW! WTH is going on with your management. Must be your crazy West coast corporate office, always in charge with these crazy changes. Sounds like something a crazy company, would keep doing for popularity sake. After all these attempts to keep us coming back here. My two cents: Hire a Pro indoor Light 💡 Company for that Great custom texture of Lighting Changes needed here. This will create the mood changes by light and help with the change of pace you are looking for to keep up with customer electronics demand.

I used to love coming here and have spent a LOT of money here over the years. I came Feb 2020 and it was half empty. When I asked, they said they were changing vendors. I came again in Dec 2020 and it is even more empty. It was like visiting a ghost town. No laptops, no printers, no furniture, no cell phones, no audio, no PC components, no appliances. Perhaps not more than a 1/4 of the stores had anything on the shelves. It was downright creepy for a place that big to be that empty, especially in the Christmas shopping season. Sniff! I am really going to miss this store.

When the store was stocked and opened I would go all of the time and spent too much money. Now, it seems the store is going out of business, they say because of covid. It is sad to see the store in decline. It was always a great place to shop.

Huge store, cool NASA theme, lots of good products

This is my go to store when I am in the area. Wish we had these in Kansas City. The selection is pretty amazing. The space theme had my attention for quite awhile.

Amazing experience. Raul in the cafe recommended the strip steak salad with the balsamic reduction and it was cooked superbly. The atmosphere was lively and I was nearly overwhelmed by the bountiful inventory on the fully stocked shelves. Hopefully radio shack/SEARS doesn’t steal their business, love this place and will be back every day.

Even if you arent buying anything, its a great place to check out if you are interested in NASA. The inside is decorated with tons of NASA stuff.

Kind of very disappointing to see what once was once a very good electronic store for anything you could use to a store with empty shelfs and As seen on TV JUNK!!!! No computers, printer, TV, etc. Not to mention the building needing repairs which leads me to believe they are going BELLY UP. Word of the wise to Best Buy stick to electronics and not try to sell home appliances etc or you will end up like this company.

I gotta hand it to Frys, theyre trying to put a brave face on a situation that has to be awkward for them. When Frys entered the Houston market years ago, the stores were packed - and not just the shelves, the places had tons of customers. I think the Webster location was the fourth to open in this market.When you go in a Frys now, you wont have to worry about social distancing - the place is practically empty. My visit, the Sunday of a Black Friday weekend, there were maybe three sales associates and one manager on duty in building that would hold my one-bedroom apartment 100 times over on floor space. Entire departments that used to hold thousands of items are now barren - even the shelving is gone in many cases. The TV department which used to have dozens of flat-screen units on display has nothing - literally, nothing.You can still hit this location for some things like cables, wires, computer supplies, and what not, but be sure to check their web site before you make the trip, as theres a good chance they wont have what you want. I was looking for a Google Chromecast. A sales associate said they didnt carry them - and not just sorry, were out, but it sounded like they never did. How can you be a major electronics retailer and not carry something as basic as a Chromecast dongle?I occasionally ask about whats happening or whether theyll survive. Im always told the same thing - they have more incoming shipments. 2020 was a bad year for nearly every business, and Frys is no different, of course, but Target and Best Buy - both of which have electronics departments - didnt look this bad.Dont believe me? Go look for yourself.

Used to be great place. Looks like bad management is ruining it. No stock, cant find an employee around for any help. I can easily find all the items they sell in stock at other retailers such as Amazon so not sure why they would have an empty store

Ordered a Samsung HM1300 Bluetooth Headset online & customer service called me the next morning and told me it was out of stock! (When it said there is ONE in stock & its available for purchase!) Note: This is NOT THE FIRST TIME it happened, Ive tried to purchase this exact same Bluetooth headset for about 3-5 times (since last year -> around Nov-Dec during the holiday season) and same thing happened to me EVERY SINGLE TIME when I purchased it!!! 😣 (3/5 times when I purchased it, it was from this location too!!) 😒It was EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING & I just cant believe it!!! 😡😡😡 Frys really need to do a better job of keep the inventories updates correctly!!! 😠🙄😒👿At least... this time they FINALLY did something about it! 😨 The manager was willing to compromise to marked down/offered me a substitution with another Bluetooth with equal amount of price!!! 💖However... when I spoke with the customer service over the phone (at this location) and asked a few questions due to some concerns & also wanted to know if I can choose something else (another Bluetooth instead) and perhaps pay a couple bucks extra...? The person who I spoke with over the phone was impatient & got pretty irritated with me and gave me a pretty bad attitude!!! 😳 He told me the manager was being nice enough to willing to do this! And it was basically a take it or leave it type of deal!!! 🙄Wasnt very pleasant customer service experience, and I thought about not getting it and just get something else from else where! But I gave them a chance & took the deal!!! 😬Then I went to the store to picked up the item, everything went okay, not as horrible as what I thought it could be! But yeah... overall customer service is kinda just MEHHHHH 😕🙄😒Im grateful that they really actually did something about it this time w/ my purchase!!! 🙆🏻😁🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Hopefully my new Bluetooth device will work well, if not... I love this place. Always has what I want. The prices are reasonable and in my experience I get good service. However, the check out could use improvement but definitely wont stop be from going back.

I thought they where going out if businesses. Guess not. All the times I have been in the store the male employees treat me like I don’t know a darn thing. Then try to sell me something inferior to what I was actually asking for. But they do have a lot of cool random stuff.

This was the first time I ever went to a Frys Electronics. I walked around the store for a while and selected a couple of items. One of the items was a mismarked. The person ringing me up went and verified that it was a mismarked. He called his manager and the manager said that he couldnt honor the price that was in front of the product because the mismark was too high. He then went online and said he could match the price that Target had, but they are required to match the price that is in front of the products on their shelves. He decided that the mismark was too high and wouldnt give it to me at the price on the Shelf. I understand he needed to push back in the stores interest, but when push comes to shove, you have to honor that price. Small mismarks, large mismarks, all must be honored.He went and called the store general manager and the general manager said they would give me the online price and $25 off. Which was still more than the mismarked price.I got the corporate information from him and contacted customer service. They said that I would need to contact the home office in California if the store manager wouldnt honor the price. Theyre not open until Monday, and I hope that they will resolve this issue.My first experience at Frys Electronics has left a bitter taste in my mouth, but it was a very nice store.The department managers name was James Quinn, and he told me that the store General managers name was Nate Diaz. I have yet to speak with Nate. Hopefully this gets their attention after I wasted about an hour of my time waiting.

Having frequented Frys in its heyday, this visit was the saddest thing I did on this particular day. The store was halfway stocked with lots of empty shelves. Hardly any employees working the floor. Big ticket electronics like TVs were nonexistent. It appears they are selling off current stock and preparing to close for good.

This store bombed hard. Half of the store is closed and the remaining half is empty. Its a dead store. I wouldnt waste your time to come. Its really sad because it use to be a titan when it came to electronics.

At a very far away place from main city....not a vast range of options available in electronics though it is exclusively for electronics.... old stocks were kept....and only samples and dummies were available....apart from this... staff were good, helping.

Competitive priced electronics retailer, also offers installation services for less than most retailers. One of the few retailers that offers car audio and remote start installations.

They used to be 5 stars until they dwindled down in operations or carrying the products since past 3 years. They are working on bare minimum staff. Sometimes it gives you the feeling they are about to shutdown and sometimes you think they are trying to make it work after some heavy loss. Hope they stay around.

Was able to find a fiber optic cable for my internet. My cats chewed through mine and it was going to cost me a fortune to have at&t come out.

I love this place! Not only do they carry more stuff than we could ever possibly need, but their repair department is fantastic. They were able to repair my daughters laptop in a very short period and price was fair.

Used to be packed and shelves full of stuff. Now its a ghost town with rude people in it Staff. Very unprofessional responses from staff. Be warned they will answer you rudely and try to make you feel stupid. Manager probably wont do anything since they look like they are going out of business.

Its really sad what Frys appears to be turning into in this covid era of austerity. This used to be my happy place. I still love it, and I can still get things here that you cant get anywhere else except Amazon. I sure hope theyre able to return to their former glory.

Frys Electronics was pretty empty when I went, but I was able to look for parts that I needed, purchase and go home. Easy. I really like shopping here and will definitely be back! They have a large selection of appliances, home stereo equipment, speakers, portable speakers, kareoke equipment, office supplies and even perfumes. Also a small diner for drinks and snacks.

This place is not what it used to be. I came in about 1030 am on a Friday and the place was dead. 3 employees, literally half the shelves were completely empty. I asked an employee for some help finding something and he slowly took out his headphones and randomly pointed and said its over there somewhere. Terrible what this place has become.

Used to be much better. Now most shelves are bare with very little selection. Its very difficult to find someone to help you if you have any questions or need assistance. I got the feeling they are about to go out of business. Once I did track down an employee, was informed that they have changed the business model to not maintain inventory but rather order merchandise when you pay and have it shipped. Wish they didnt do it. Huge waste of space for the size building it is. If I want to have something shipped when I pay, Ill use Amazon.

This is my favorite Frys store, and its not the closest one to me. The main reason being is that they always have everything I need in stock. Im guessing not many people from Houston are willing to make the drive. Also it is always empty when I come. All you see is a few employees, but barely any customers. I love the peace and quiet of shopping in a large store.The staff here is great. I had an issue with an item and they promptly took care of it. Great customer service.

Went to Frys today. Store is picked over more than a grocery store before a hurricane. Almost nothing is in the store. If you want something you need to order it online because it probably isnt there. And it is that way in every department. All of their inventory could probably fit in a 7-11 or moderate gas station.

The store looks very sad, dim and only partially stocked shelves. However, we were there for the repair shop and they were helpful. Well be back.

The staff was very helpful however i went for some merchandise that wasnt in stock and the voice recorder which was the only one on shelving unit at a fairly low price mos definitely.

Space station frys has all of your electronics needs. You can eat at Cafe 34 and pretend youre on the international space station.

Got a washer from here the manager was very helpful I recommend this location.

I cant imagine what this place looks like now, but last time I went a few months ago the shelves were bare all around. It was obvious then that the store (and Company) was on its last legs. Its a shame because back in its heyday, this store was one of my favorite places to come.

Super lame. Been three times in the last year or so. Its a ghost town. Used to be a great electronics /appliance store with everything. Now its like a big, empty flea market with perfume, generators, gardening supplies?! Havent had basic electronics or gaming items I was looking for. Even though the web site said so. Colossal has-been of a store.

I have 2 stars instead of one because we did find and purchase what we were looking for. However, the store was almost empty of product! There were empty shelves EVERYWHERE. It honestly looked like they were going out of business or something. And the employees that helped were very weird and halfway helpful, we had to ask them to physically come show us where something was instead of pointing at some random end cap all the way across the store. It was creepy...like Alfred Hitchcock or Tim Burton creepy in there!

This location is located of off NASA 1 & 45. The entire store is so well decorated! My daughter absolutely loved it. Also they have a small cafe in the center with sandwiches and coffee. It was much more fun than the average store and it is huge! Watch out Best Buy!

The store itself is not bad. Its clean, well staffed, and huge. Its hard to get past how large of a selection they have of everything and yet it feels so empty. Not sure if its how quiet it is all the time or the fact the ceiling is a mile high but the shelves are 4ft. Finding what you are looking for takes a while to get used to with the store layout. The staff is friendly but quiet and the prices of everything are average.

You know my husband thinks I might have been hard on this store. Needing speakers we gave it another chance. Walking in there were no carts. Asked if there were carts. Nope, no carts where are they? Out there somewhere indicating parking lot nobody wants to bring them in. Looking around there were a dozen employees holding down their counters. Your going to have to go out to parking lot to get one if you want one.Watched 8 employees walk around doing ?? Looking at shelves maybe? Nobody looked our way when we called to them. Just found a set of speakers on our own and checked out. Check out guy was super nice so earned the star, however he is not sure if I can use 30 day warranty at any Frys or I have to come back to that one. This is the lowest stocked, larges floor plan and worse service store in the USA. At least they are consistent.

Man, i used to love this place. Would come for hard to find items and was looking for a battery for some equipment, but the battery was dead. But the place also bare... the shelves are bare i hope its because they sold so much during the holidays, but it almost seems like the end is near for them. Not to mention the entrance has been dilapidated for a number of years. Its sad to see.

Place used to be it for finding small or rare parts for any type of electronic however I went in today and it seems as if theyre going to close down although the employees claimed that they have not been told so. It is clear that they are not getting new products as 90% of the shelves are empty. I was also told that their main supplier Warehouse in Nashville has also been shut down, but again, the employees say the store is not shutting down. I have a very hard time believing that but I do know that if you need anything from Frys you can order online and anything that they still carry in-store can be delivered locally in a few hours which is more than other places in the area offer. I hope that they are going through a remodel and not closing down but for now you cant find much in store. The employees were so very helpful by the way which is the reason for two stars!

Great service. Took my computer in for a windows 10 update. The price was double than what Best Buy quoted. Other than that the guys were being very helpful and got the update done same day.

Lots of empty shelves. No inventory. No employees around either. $500 gaming chairs that you can find elsewhere for $200. No displays for anything. Sad that this used to be the place to go to find all your electronics. Now its an empty store.

Used to be a great place, my favorite store in fact. Well the past few times have been bad, store is empty and no one shops there anymore. But today i went there wanting to buy a good laptop. Literally only 2 laptops to choose from but i was actually interested in one of them. Stood around waiting for an employee but no one ever came. Even other customers had asked me where the workers are. I did end up finding an employee but when i talked to him he just looked the other way and was short with me when i asked him a simple question. Im not about to play this game i left for best buy.

Pretty sure this place wont be in business very long. So many empty shelves, completely dis-interested staff who dont know where anything is and frankly dont care. Looks like a ghost town. Ended up going to Best Buy up the road to get my hard drive and power strip. These are very BASIC things you would expect ANY decent electronics store to carry, but nope, not these guys. The entire section for hard drives was empty except for like 2 beaten up boxes that looked like theyd been collecting dust for a decade.

This place has basically became a flea market. I went for something simple, thermal paste, the site said they had it. I look where it should be, nothing but empty pegs. I wonder around looking on end caps, no employee in sight,, still nothing. I walk by a bunch of carts filled with product and just happened to look in a random cardboard box and found 2 packs of thermal paste. I really wish there was a Microcenter down here.

They pretty much always got what you need. Or can order it fast.Or they can order it online and get it to you fast. The staff is knowledgeable. When you find the right person... or excuse me... when you do find a person... very understaffed. Please get more employees. Thanks, Jason.

I feel bad for this place and their employees. It seems like the business has been dying a slow death since I moved to the area over a decade ago. This place is HUGE and 10 years ago was full of great products and services, but now is a shell of its former self with a sparse product selection and defeated employee morale.

Place has nothing anymore mostly empty store, Dont waste your time!
