Hi-Tech Auto Svc Center exemplifies why NJ specifically enforces consumer protection laws. A subcontractor of AAA, they were assigned to replace a battery at my home in Feb 2021. Entire service to 80 minutes, due primarily to the technician tried to stretch the positive/negative cables to connect the battery. Eventually, he had to unhook the clips from the battery housing, stretch the cables and use a twist tie them. The Tech told me my mechanic could complete the installation.Next day contacted AAA, with pictures, visited my mechanic and even reached out to a Dealer. Come to discover, WRONG, oversized battery installed intentionally. Additionally, because the battery was improperly secured in the housing, if Id hit a bump it could pop out damaging the car and a dangerous situation. The correct battery size would never have required the clips to be unhooked.AAA replaced the battery.Go anywhere else for repairs as they will provide incorrect advice aware that the customer will rely upon their expertise despite any potential peril.

I dropped my car off on a Monday night and had to call multiple times before I received an answer on Thursday on what was wrong. My O2 sensor went on my car which is a quick fix with the right tools and should take about 15 minutes to do. They wanted around $500 w/ labor to fix this. I went and did it myself for under 100 dollars with an Oem part in about 15 minutes. I got estimates from other mechanics in the area and it was no where near that price. Very dissatisfied and wouldnt recommend

Prompt, personable and professional which is always important when you’re dealing with a frustrating situation with your vehicle. Pete was absolutely amazing and went out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable and understood everything that needed to be done. Unfortunately I’ve had to deal with quite a few different tow companies and Pete will now be my go to tow guy. Way to go Hi Tech!

I hit a pothole and it knocked out 2 tires. Got picked up by High Tech’s Tow Truck Driver Pete. From the time Pete arrived he took care of things very professionally and carefully. He drove me and my car back to High Tech and the staff there were warm and friendly. They gave me a good deal on tires and installed them timely. I really enjoyed my time with High Tech and will be there for my car repair needs from now on. Pete is a first class kind of guy and is super professional and caring!

Moved to Wayne about two years ago and was looking for a honest mechanic to work on my 53’ Ford F-100. They were honest and quick to finish the work. Prices were fair and didn’t push for work I didn’t need. Since then I’ve had my wife’s car there for a accident she had and again they didn’t disappoint. Would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Horrible! Safe yourself the head ache! Go somewhere else! They could not get my car to work! Would not answer my calls! Had to go with my nephews to get my car back and get it towed back home and taken somewhere else.

The guys here are great! I can honestly say the first few times I brought my vehicles here I thought I was getting some good treatment. However, EVERY TIME I go here, they are slower than they say they will (if they say 1 day, it takes 2 or sometimes more) and they usually forget to call about work being done when they are finished. There have been many times they had my vehicle for 1 week and I have to call them 3-4 times during the week to make sure they will have it done.Then there is the brake line incident... they told me my brake lines were not too bad but would need to be replaced soon. I showed some concern (had some long trips to take) but they said not to worry about it. Well one week later the main brake line busted (good thing I was in my driveway)... So I took it back to them and they said they would fix by the end of the day. When I showed up to pick up my truck, they told me they only fixed some of the lines because they didnt all need to be replaced. Well needless to say, my rear brake line just busted and all I can say is I WILL be going somewhere else from now on sad to say.I also took my truck to another shop back home and they looked at it for something else, and they couldnt believe a couple of the things they saw that were done at Hi-Tech.Good shop overall, but I think they are a bit sloppy at times.

Complete rip off. These guys want to charge $100 a tire to install brake pads and that’s if I supply my own pads. Seriously!? I can’t imagine what they would charge if they supplied their pads. You’re looking at like a half hour worth of labor, so i don’t know where they came up with this dollar figure. I’m glad I called first, this is the kind of shop that would say you need pads, rotors, and calipers!!! Stay away at all costs!!!

The owner, Mike is a saint. In todays snowstorm, I got stuck on the street. I called AAA, but they refused to come help because it was a state of emergency. He saw me and he sent one of his guys to help me and since Hi-Tech does business with AAA he was able to take down my info and send the bill through AAA even though they wouldnt send someone out on their own. While I was waiting, him and his wife welcomed me in and offered me a beverage. They saved me that day, thank you so much! Seriously just good people. If I ever need auto repairs, I will call hi tech.

Went there had 3 flats on my car and was referred to Dan Paglinco at Hi-Tech. He was young(28), funny, smart , and gave me a reasonable price for my wheels. Even through in the last wheel for free! Hes the guy you NEED to work in your car!
