Dr Bowyer explains your dental needs and provides multiple treatment options . Costs are discussed upfront and youre never pressured into making any snap decisions the whole process is stress free. Once all of my teeth were evaluated Dr Bowyer provided me with an in depth portfolio outlining the problem areas with my teeth and what could be done to prevent problems before they got worse. Received an estimate for my dental work. The office is very clean and bright, the staff is friendly and professional, and the doctor was thorough and personable. An entire hour was spent on examining my dental work and X-rays were taken, an unexpected bonus. I would recommend Dr. Bowyer with the caveat that I have not had any work done yet by him.

Ive always been a bit apprehensive about dental visits. To be honest, it had been a long while since my last appt and I came in with little hope my smile could be rejuvenated and made healthy again. I had a minor dental emergency with my veneers and they were able to fit me in for a quick appointment that same day even though I wasnt a past patient there. Dr. Bowyer fixed my tooth without any problems and everyone at the clinic was extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely be switching my dentist to Dr. Bowyer.

Dr. Boyers dental care is exceptional in every way....expert treatment with a light approach and touch. His staff are caring and skilled definitely go the extra mile with every interaction. How many dentists would meet you in the parking lot due to patient dental anxiety and over time work with you to gain a comfort level for on-going treatment and preventative care. Dr. Bowyer has done all of my dentistry since he moved to Vancouver. I have always been pleased with his care and attention to explaining procedures. He also gave unusually attentive and age appropriate care to a 95 year old friend.

So I will start by saying I really loved Dr Bowyer, very professional, seemed like a really great guy. But the office dumped me as a patient and heres why...Dr Bowyer and I had a plan for some cosmetic bonding, I paid and did Invisalign to prepare my teeth for the bonding. By the time that was done, I was pregnant. I suffer from Crohns disease and once I became pregnant I became disabled pretty much, I lost 30lbs over the course of the pregnancy, most days I couldnt leave my home. No medications were safe for pregnancy so I just had to suffer it out. But I wanted my teeth fixed before the baby came. So I made an appointment, which I had to cancel last minute due to how absolutely ill I was. I reschedule my appointment hoping I would be well enough and subsequently missed the next appointment again because I could not leave the house due to Crohns disease. Anybody who knows about Crohns Disease knows what Im talking about. Because of this, they dumped me as a patient.I called and begged them to take me back like an ex boyfriend!! And they still refused even though I am now well and on medication and have all the money ready for the work that Dr Bowyer and I had planned for years in the making. I am very upset, I dont want to go to another dentist now I have to start the process all over. I think its ridiculous that they cant make exceptions to their cancellation policy due to a temporary disability.

This dental work is Great! First of all their staff are always in a good and enjoyable mood and are happy to be there. I recently visited Dr. Bowyers dental office for a cleaning and it was a great experience. Dr. Bowyer and his staff were friendly and outgoing. The staff made me feel extremely comfortable and they were able to answer all of my questions. This is the first time I have ever had a dentist call to check up on me and about a week later, I received a welcome packet in the mail reviewing the treatment planning that we had discussed. Found a serious problem not identified by my previous dentist and even better had a reasonable solution. Yes, occasionally he or his staff will offer an additional elective service such as a whitening but they have never pushed it. When Dr. Boyer says it is time for a procedure, I feel very confident he is acting in my best interest. My oral health has never been better.

I havent been a patient of Dr Bowyers for long but in the past 2 weeks since my initial consultation Ive experienced a complete shift regarding the terror/anxiety that Ive associated with The Dentist. I initially emailed a request for information about mini dentures and was contacted (via VM) with in 24 hours regarding my inquiry. I did not respond. Shortly after I rcvd a followup call from Lisa regarding my initial contact. That alone surprised and impressed me. I schedule an appt based off that callback and met the people I would soon established a long history with. Honesty, compassion, understanding and hope are the key reasons why I am able to give such positive feedback but the part that turned a 4 star review quickly into a 5 star has to do with how I was treated during that first consultation. Ive been to the dentist before. I know the problems Ive developed are a result of years of neglect and my fears of the dentist. However, during that brief consultation, the focus was placed on what can be done versus the harsh truth of why I was there. Dr Bowyer, Jean and Lisa eliminated feelings of humiliation/disparity and replaced them with encouragement/hope. Their honesty about my situation and confidence that it could be corrected (given time) is the reason why I came back for the full exam and all that was destined to follow. Some of my most uncomfortable/scarring moments (in 50 years) have been the accumulated result of mixed feelings and terror of the unknown. Compassion/Kindness is priceless and far more important to me than my own insecurities. This is the primary reason why I scheduled the appointment, returned for the exam & committed to the challenging road ahead. That being said, dont make the same mistakes I have as a result of your fears because the end result will be worth it. My journey is just beginning and though Im frightened by the process, Im equally excited/hopeful for the future thanks to Dr Bowyer, Jean & Lisa.
