I just had my first massage ever, with Deborah at Athena Day Spa. The room and building were clean, and had a totally relaxing vibe. I was extremely comfortable, and Deborah was kind, professional, and courteous. What a great first experience, I cant wait to book another appointment.

The women I got was simply amazing. I felt very comfortable and calm the whole massage. I loved how much communication we had, it really put me at ease and made it so much more comfortable. After the massage my skin felt divine and my muscles relaxed. I honestly almost fell asleep about three times. I would recommend to anyone, especially if you feel unsure about getting a message. Can definitely say that I will be coming back very soon!

Had a massage with Theresa today that was revolutionary for me. Ive had hundreds of massages, and this was the best Ive ever had. She was finding a number of trigger points in my back and legs, and was wondering what was going on. She really thought about it and decided it might be my psoas muscle. In a unique technique Ive never encountered before, she pressed very deeply right above my front left hip. It was painful, and it took a while, but I could feel the release across my whole left side. We decided the right side needed it too (though less damaged), and without a word, she went 25 minutes over to take care of it. I had to ask her if we were over, and she said yes, so I volunteered to pay for it (gladly). I feel twenty years younger after this--just walking is completely different and free--and realize how much overall physical misery I’ve been living with. I looked it up and it looks like I have psoas syndrome, more common in athletes (I’ve played ice hockey goalie for 35 years). My wife has also had 3 massages with Theresa (my wife recommended her to me) and she thinks she’s the best.

I went in for highlights. Tried out a new stylist Paige. I had a surgery the next day that is a 4 week recovery so I wanted my hair done blonde before surgery to make me feel a little better. After getting my hair done with Paige it was ASH BROWN. Very upsetting after spending $160. See photo. Since I did not complain about it within a week that she did my hair she will not fix it. I couldn’t get back to her within a week because I was focused on my recovery from surgery. I couldn’t even get in a car for two weeks after surgery. I’m disappointed and going back to A-List Hair Studio on Hoyt Street in Portland. What a mistake coming to this Athena Day Spa.

I had a therapeutic massage followed with cupping. Pete was fantastic. I have a knot that’s been going on for a while and I feel so much relief. Cupping was my first time and I’m obsessed. Pete was very informative about what to expect which I appreciate. Great pressure and all around just wonderful. Booked myself another appointment with Pete next month. Two thumbs up.

I experienced an amazing therapeutic 60 min massage with Pete today. I work as a secretary and coach high school volleyball, so my muscles were screaming at me for relief. Pete asked me if I wanted him to focus on anything specific and I said back & neck. I went in with a pinched nerve in my neck and came out almost 100% better! It was such a relief and I did not feel uncomfortable at all! Even though I asked for back and neck, he was still able to work in other sore areas for an all over massage. I will definitely be going back! Thank you from one happy customer!!

Clean relaxing environment. Quality products are used for every service. Staff are friendly and professional. Everyone tends to respect your time so no long waiting periods between services if youre doing one of their spa day packages. Definitely recommended.

Even though my hairstylist was running late, she kept me informed and offered me some water. It was worth the weight. I told Kayla generally what I wanted and told her to do whatever as I was ready for a change. She did not disappoint! I love my new hairstyle that really compliments my face!

I paid for deep tissue massage and got a relaxation massage. I asked my masseur to go hard on my back at least five times and he did not. My requests were replied with Im working my way into it. He worked his way into the relaxation massage. I gave up after asking him the 5th time. I heard there are others who do a great job, but he definitely did not. I would not want to come back. Poor quality massage for the price point.

The float was interesting, I wish it was a bit warmer during the whole duration (it cools off during the whole time, theres no heater to keep the water warm while youre floating), otherwise it was pretty neat. Make sure to turn off the light in the room unlike I did...The facial on the other hand was awesome. Linda was incredible, so generous, kind and loving with her care. You can truly tell that she care about what she does and loves what she does.Definitely worth your time.

Pete & Theresa did messages for my husband and me! It was wonderful!I had Theresa and she addressed all my concern areas and was so wonderful.Atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing the whole way through !Service was splendid.

My stylist did partial lowlight foils with the bleach blond I had already. I was getting awful grow out, in less than 2 weeks. She fixed it and it was a project! But she never complained and was so nice the whole time. I couldn’t believe nearly 5 hours went by!! She is extremely patient. Now, almost 3 weeks later, it looks just as it good when she did it, and no grow out that is visible. It will cut my visits down that’s for sure. They are always extremely friendly when I go there. Never had a complaint.

I have never had an unsatisfied experience such as this time before. She left wet towels on both of my arms and told me she was done!! She hardly give me any massage nor tye service was feeling like I had nothing done.

I am so pleased with Athena Day Spa! Living thru the time of CoVid it can be scary and Athena puts their clients safety first! They follow all protocols to the letter! Today I had the Athena retreat spa package and it was amazing! Leia did an amazing facial, was very communicative and I feel the facial worked! Monica did my pedi, such a great lady to talk to! They accommodated water after every destination and snacks. I love my toes! Lastly Hannah was the massage goddess and gave me the best prenatal massage! Ill be ordering another package, thanks ladies!

Jessica is amazing, her personality, and her professional abilities. One of the BEST experiences I have ever had with getting my hair colored. She listened to what I was looking to achieve with my hair color (which is usually a compile of pictures I have saved on my phone) My hair is rather long, so the process was definitely long.. in the end my hair is Gorgeous, and feels healthy. I will definitely be going back to see Jess for my future hair needs.

My rose and lavender pedicure was a very relaxing experience! And my feet are happy too! The only reason I rated my experience a 4 instead of a 5 is because after about 1 hour of peaceful relaxation, another client was seated beside me who talked consistently with her pedicurist, so the last 30 minutes of my 1.5 hour pedicure were spent listening to her discussing her children. I think this should be taken into consideration when a client books a rose and lavender pedicure...perhaps subsequent appointments could be spaced accordingly, in order to allow for this?

This was one of the best experiences ever. From start to finish. People who are excellent in their career field. I can not express how truly delightful it was to spend the day with these lovely people. I will be back for sure. All three ladies let me chat their ear off. I booked a mani/pedi with Leah for my first visit to Athena. Since my husband and I are in our late 70s we are taking careful precautions to avoid Covid so I asked Leah if she was vaccinated (she was maskless ). She said she couldn’t tell me as it was company policy! She did mask up finally and gave me good service but I will not return to Athena.

Arrived 5 min before my appointment time but stylist was busy with a client still. I was made to wait an additional 25 min. My stylist apologized for my wait and did fine with my appointment but feel that when booking appointments they need to have better time management and not book clients so close together. Account for the actual time needed for each appointment and book accordingly. My time is valuable as well and I could of used those 25 min that I was made to wait more constructively if I had know my appointment wouldn’t have been until 12:30 instead of 12pm.

Amazing place.... would give them a 10..... went for a full day spa day, 5 treatments, and everyone was wonderful. Amazing walked out feeling Amazing, well cared for like a queen. Just what I needed for my birthday.

I had a 60 minute massage and scalp treatment from Jane today, and it was absolutely wonderful! She was actually able to massage my low back, which is usually super sensitive, but she did a great job and was very gentle. She listened to my concerns about other medical problems that I have, and she accommodated for what I needed. The scalp treatment was the best part. I almost fell asleep, it felt so amazing! I definitely recommend her!

I got color, cut, and style with Kayla and she was very professional and friendly. I would recommend her services.

I came to Athena Day Spa desperately needing to fix a previous dye job I was very unhappy with. I had a consultation on Friday and was able to get in the very next day with Paige. She gave me a competitive quote, and the next day I didnt have any price suprises 😏 I came with some pictures and a general idea of what I wanted and Paige left me feeling beautiful and confident! The service was quick (for a balayage) and Paige was friendly and professional, and used PPE at all times.

Hannah was amazing. She talked me through the areas of tension during my massage. She Made recommendations of exercises to help improve those areas. Hannah is passionate about her work and you can feel her energy with her work. If you go to see her be clear about your body and she will I. Turn educate you on how to improve your health. 100 percent highly recommended.

The massage was great but half way into the massage, the room became so cold I actually flinched when the massage therapist touched my shoulders with her cold hands. She mentioned that my ears were freezing. I was literally shivering when I got up to get dressed. I would recommend the massage therapist but ask for the room without the blowing AC.

I had a wonderful deep tissue massage with Theresa a few days before Christmas. She was really helpful and I feel so much better! She gets 5 stars...the only reason I gave a 4-star review is because the place is loud. A massage (even a deep tissue) is supposed to be relaxing and quiet, only to hear the music in the room - at least in my opinion. I could hear the other employees having a full-on conversation outside the room. I will go back, but please keep quieter! :)

Had an hour relaxation message and the pedi package for my birthday. Pete was great, asked about what I would like him to focus on and was professional. I was glad to schedule a message because they don’t have a message chair as you get a pedicure. A bit disappointing but the couch was comfy. Wish there was more of a separation between pedicure stations. I was so close to the other person listened to her conversation the entire time, not very relaxing. It’s a small space so only place for 2 customers at a time. Also, the front person forgot my wine that came with my package. My pedicurist had to get it herself after asking for it a couple times. Other than that, I would go back for message again and maybe I will try a facial or the float pool instead next time.

I went in for a manicure - my first with Athena Day Spa. It was an amazing experience and Chloe was fantastic!! I usually visit to get my hair done by Kelsey who is also absolutely amazing! All the staff are very friendly and they take the Covid precautions seriously. I will definitely continue getting my hair and nails done here. Its nice to feel pampered and listened to with so much going on around us!

Jessica is an amazing hair stylist and SO GOOD at what she does. I was getting compliments on my hair the very next day after I saw her. A consummate professional, she is fun and knowledgeable and pays attention to even the smallest detail about the customers experience.

I LOVE Hannah! She is great at what she does and great at communicating! She listens to whatever issues you are having and works to get you feeling like yourself again. Hannah also checks in with you regularly to make sure you arent uncomfortable!

I’ve had a massage at Athena and loved it, so I assumed I would love a pedicure here as well. Unfortunately, the therapeutic pedicure was far overpriced for what I received, it was shorter than advertised, and my technician seemed inexperienced. Stick to the body treatments at Athena Day Spa and get your pedicures elsewhere.

I have always had a great experience with Paige from cut to color. I have been with her for a long time, the only hairdresser I trust with my hair. I also have her do my mothers hair, which is hard for most hairdressers its super course and curly, but she did an amazing job. Also my oldest daughter hair too, from cut and coloring the tips and conditioning treatments! She is such a doll to be around and just amazing work. Clean station and clean salon!!!

Not sure where the miscommunication was but I wanted my hair ash brown and walked out 3 shades darker colored to my natural dark brown. Im not satisfied with the communication of my color intention at the beginning of my appointment, hair washing as my scalp is still brown, or after consultation whether I liked the color or not as there was no discussion when I expressed it was too dark and thought it would be lighter.

Athena Day Spa always seems to be able to fit me in when Im in need! I usually go there for pedicures with Chloe. Her communication and ability to squeeze me into her schedule is amazing. But I have also visited them for facials with Karis. They are always professional and eager to please you. I would highly recommend!

Beware!When I made my appointment I told them that I was using a spafinder gift card. I spoke with Monica on the phone to clarify my day/time. I again reiterated it to the girl that was doing my mani/pedi upon my arrival. I even had my card sitting on the manicure table during our visit. Their website specifically lists certain services that you cannot use Groupon or Spafinder for so I was very careful at choosing the services that I wanted. After my mani /pedi, Madison the receptionist was incredibly rude & said theyre no longer accepting Spa Finder since they reopened after the pandemic? I told her I was very clear that I was using a spafinder card when I made my appointment & again as I entered the salon. She just kept repeating that they do not accept spafinder and I could either pay with cash or the card that they have on file. Very Rude and Unprofessional! I asked to speak with a manager or the owner so she gave me the business card for Monica Amyx. Monica called me later that evening only to rant about how Groupon and spafinder are robbing her. She apologized for the misunderstanding when I spoke to her on the phone prior to my appointment and again at the salon, but made no attempt to rectify the situation. Definitely a scam! I wander if Groupon & Spafinder are aware of her slander? Didnt she sign up for their services?

I hadnt had gel nails done for many months so, prior to vacation, I scheduled an appointment with Monica (Athenas owner BTW). She was so meticulous and I loved the results. The salon is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, and Monica and team have done a fabulous job with all the challenges of COVID protocol. Highly recommend Athena Day Spa!

I now live states away and if I get the opportunity to come have a service done, I always book with Kariss and she always finds time for me. Caring, personable, professional, and the best of the best is how I would describe my experiences with her. In this age of Covid it can be difficult to maintain quality services and Athena Day Spa has done exactly that. The atmosphere was very personable and relaxing while maintaining safety protocols. I had a manicure, pedicure, and facial and am really looking forward to going for a massage soon. I would definitely recommend this spa.

I have always had a a great experience at Athena day spa. I have been a customer for a few years. I did not have a great experience this time around. The haircut; my hairdresser was late and I was asked to move my appointment which I did with no problem. I know how life can happen. I opted for a simple french braid to save time instead of having her style my hair. My main goal was a good hair trim and bang trim. I did not get either one.I had a massage by a gentleman; I have had many massages and also with male therapists and never had a problem. I told him my areas that I wanted worked on was my neck and thoracic area of my back. I got a massage but in other areas. He focused more on the front of my legs and my arms and I spent half the time grimacing because he seemed to hit all the awkward areas and tickle spots, instead of a standard relaxation massage. I spent a minimal amount of time on my stomach, getting the back attention and neck attention that I asked for. I also told him I did not want a painful massage and more relaxation. I am a healthcare worker, so people always want to try and fix my back and neck. He did not seem to listen and I ended up leaving wanting another massage with someone else to fix the massage that I received.I hope this was just a fluke visit, as I have always had great luck at this spa.

Went to get my eyebrows waxed today. I been here several times before. They did a really good job of taking care of me. Even with our current state during the pandemic. Karis did amazing as usual.
