Do not buy home insurance from American Family!We had no issues with American Family or Tina for 5 years. We had small auto claims (windshields, etc) with no issue. However, neither Tina or American Family were there for us when we needed them most.We had a dishwasher leak. As soon as the leak was discovered, we stopped using the dishwasher and took it out of the kitchen. No representative from American Family came to inspect it in person. They only saw pictures and Facetime video and then hired an independent leak inspector to inspect it. He determined, with no scientific evidence in his report, that the leak had been occurring for at least  and approximately 3-4 weeks. American Family told us they would not cover any leak over 2 weeks (which is and was incredibly convenient for them). However, there is no mention of this 2 week policy in our home insurance document.What hurts me the most is that Tina didnt advocate for us whatsoever. In fact, she felt more like an adversary than an ally. We have been paying $800 a year for our home owners insurance policy for almost 6 years now. Thats almost 5K down the toilet. We have to pay for new floors, cabinets, countertops, etc. without a dime from American Family.

Over the years, Tina has been an excellent agent for me! When I first moved to American Family she was able to save me money and still offer great coverage. She and her team are always responsive to even the smallest inquiries. I appreciate her friendly service and positive attitude. Thanks, Tina!
