Extremely dissatisfied with this companies work.I got an estimate which was reasonable. The climber came out and started cutting the wrong tree. He stated that they gave me an estimate for the wrong tree. Ending up costing more.We agreed in the estimate that the tree wood be cut in 2 foot pieces to be used as firewood. I confirmed this with the climber. I came home and 3-5 foot pieces were left.I spoke with Tony and was assured theyd be back out when they were in the area. Initially, I received return texts from Tony that they would be back. After three weeks, it has been radio silence. Its now been two months, and the job has not been complete and I can not get anyone to return my messages. They have lost two other jobs in my neighborhood, because of my experience. I would not recommend them to anyone nor hire them again.
Gave me a good quote and said theyd be there the next day. They didnt show up on time so I called 50 minutes after the appointment. Was called back and was told theyd be there within the hour or two hours late. Still didnt show or contact me. Finally four hours later I called and canceled.
Good people
Poor communication, doesn’t call when they’re going to be late or need to cancel appointments. They say they’ll show up and they don’t. Unreliable and poor at conducting business. Read the other reviews before hiring these guys. There’s no reason to do business with them when there are so many great options in Springfield.
Best experience with a tree service. Period. They worked quickly, but carefully. They did an excellent job cleaning the remnants, and left no mess. The price was good. Having many trees in my yard, I have previously experienced many unpleasant events with a tree service, but this tree service was different. I would not hesitate to use them again.
They never finished the job as promised. I was very specific that I required the stumps to be ground and I fell for it when they promised me they would be out the very next day to do that. What they do is break it down into a small amount for stump grinding so you pay the rest and then you never see them again. He looked me right in the eye and told me they were reputable and promised me they would finish, so I reluctantly paid them but 6 weeks later I now know that they are not coming. So I have to pay big bucks to have someone else finish the job. Ill never do business with them again and have warned all of my neighbors to avoid them. My neighbor planned to use them to remove a huge tree ($1,500+ job). EJS lost that business and probably even more in my neighborhood. My advice is to use another company that has some pride in their reputation and wants referral business from customers that experience a job well done.Update - EJS showed-up at my door with a stump-grinder to finish the job. It was a few months after the initial cutting but they did finally return and complete the job.
I was promised that The job would be finished the next day. Payment in full was made, but service has not been finished a month later.I was promised by James from EJS Tree Service that because the job was so large that he would be out the next day to finish. He told me that because the job was nearly complete that he needed to get the payment in full and sign a satisfactory completion document, but he would leave his trailer behind as to show good faith that the job would be complete. It rained the next day and I was told he would stop by later on that week to finish everything. When I came home the day after that I saw his trailer was gone and nothing was done. I told James before he started that I had to leave for the military so I needed everything to be done in a timely manor. I dont know if he took advantage of my situation to not finish the job.
Great work crew, and job well down with nice clean-up, but way too expensive. Didnt get final bill until jobs were finished. We were pleased with all the work but flabbergasted at the expense. Dumb on our part not to get estimated charge beforehand.
EJS tree service dug up ground ivy for my neighbor, but accidentally dug into my yard, cutting into my underground sprinkler system. A Mr. Suttles answered the number my neighbor gave me, but said he wasnt responsible, referring me to Kenny. Kenny was annoyed the neighbor hadnt informed him of the underground system, but said they would pay to repair the damage, and requested my address. Never heard from him again! I called the original # and talked to a third person who told me he had never heard of Kenny, and that they hadnt been in my neighborhood!I confirmed with the next door neighbor that it was EJS, but by now they werent answering me. I never was paid by EJS for the broken sprinkler. My neighbor also informed me that they hadnt done the work to her satisfaction, and her son in law completed it.
