Just started renting a place here in Sioux Falls a little while back which required renters insurance. I had heard many positive things about Ty and his employees so naturally, I decided to start a policy with them. Each employee there was personable and very easy to work with- especially with helping me understand what exactly I need for my insurance. As a young adult, I was uninformed about what insurance would be best for me but the employees made it a quick and painless experience to make sure I was covered. I spoke with Austin Hamilton. Two hours after I called, he emailed me with my proof of insurance. Polished, quick, inexpensive.

Bought a policy turns out the agent who sold it to me was doing crooked stuff and after approximately a month I get a letter in mail saying policy is being canceled. No phone call from agent. Fine I cancel policy and go back to someone I can trust. Then money for policy payment is taken out of my account AFTER cancelling. Get significant run around trying to get refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

At the time of writing this review Ive only been in contact with this office for under a week. Let me tell you Chris has made it clear they deserve a five star rating and that their team does it what takes to earn it. Going to a meeting to discuss changing auto policies with Chris, I expected the usual numbers talk and to get me out the door. Instead, I received almost 2 hours of his time and full attention where we discussed the little things and big picture ideas. By the end of our closure of signing up for 2 vehicles insured through them, he made it clear that if I ever need anything to call or text. Highly recommended! I have had Progressive for over a year and I have had nothing but issues. I did an online quote for State Farm. Chris Smith with the Ty Teveldal office sent me a text when I sent his call to vm because of my job. Im certainly glad he did! I was able to get a different quote and am paying less than I was with Progressive. He did all the work for me so all I had to do was show up on my lunch break and give him my debit card! I was done in less than 30 minutes! The best part was that he listened to all of my concerns and addressed each and every one of them! Definitely give them a call!

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE. I was in an accident in December. It was a semi-drivers fault, so Statefarm told me to file a claim with his insurance. Why I needed to do all the work, I dont know. After I tried to file a claim, it became night time and I couldnt leave my car where it was. So I had to start a claim with Statefarm. They proceeded to make me pay our deductible. I was annoyed but understood. They told me it would take a few months to get my deductible refunded because they had to get paid from the truckers insurance first. Fine. Well it is now 4 months later and I still have yet to receive my deductible refund. Ty has not talked to me ONCE during this whole experience. Several times Ive asked for him and hes been busy. He has never called to talk to me, I am always talking to someone new in his office. Statefarm has left me angry and frustrated. What the heck was I paying them for if I have to constantly be checking in to see what the status of my claim is? Why am I still waiting for a reimbursement 4 MONTHS after the accident. I will never recommend people to Statefarm or Ty.
