I was referred to Doug by a friend and long time customer of Farmers Insurance over a year and a half ago. I was given a quick auto and home quote which saved me about $250 a year from my previous insurance company. Whenever I have a question or concern Doug or his friendly, efficient staff have been there to explain the process to me. My claims have been processed quickly and my car is back on the road as good as new. I highly recommend Farmers Insurance and especially Douglas Beltman to anyone looking to save money on their insurance and to be treated respectfully and professionally.

Inexperienced. Had a claim and filed - 1st one in 20+ years. Come to find out that he did not put an endorsement on my policy that would have saved me $3,000 out of pocket. He says he offered, but I know he didnt because I just signed what he put in front of me. My fault for trusting the guy and believed he knew what he was doing. Plus, any agent Ive spoken to afterwards cant believe he didnt add the $80 annual endorsement. This guy should not be managing/insuring your valuables. No issues with the company - just this guy.

Dougs honest trustworthy and will never take advantage ofa customer

Short story - Douglas Beltman cancelled our home insurance policy because we moved our vehicle to Esurance.Long Story - After buying our car Farmers couldnt match the rate that Esurance was giving us. I called to cancel our policy and had a long conversation with Doug telling him that I would like to stay with him because I like to support local business. While on the phone he gave me a rate that was actually a few bucks better than Esurance but when I came into the office his assistant could not get the same rate.That happened twice before he did something seriously petty -- He came by my house and nit-picked reasons why he was able to cancel our homeowners policy prematurely. (The reason was because a very small part of our siding was rotting and a problem with a power line that was hanging too low)This caused me to have to pay about $800 more when I renewed with another company due to the fact that Id made a claim once while being his client.All in all Im really upset because if I had not spent the extra time talking to him and trying to stay with him none of this would have happened.
