I recently had Kalins come to perform a service on my non working Central AC system. The technician was very good at explaining what was wrong and made it easy to understand. After explaining the charges, we decided to purchase a new system. He set us up with a Comfort Care rep and he was able to respond that evening after hours even. In addition to talking about equipment, he installed a temporary cooling system for the week. It made a very bad situation tolerable until they were free to do the install.After we had agreed the following day to purchase a Lennox system, Kalins stayed in constant contact during the entire process.Once the day came for install, they were prompt and on time. Once completed, the only evidence they left behind, that they were even here, was a new system that hopefully we will have for many years to come.

The service guys were so kind and professional. Everyone we have worked with has been great! Always friendly, always professional, always do a great job!

They showed up on the 27th of June put in a pound of freon checked for leaks and cost me $285.74 cents. Ac worked for two days then out again. Called another company today guy was here in 15 minutes stayed for a hour and the ac is working great. Kalins just pushed saying it was a old unit. Wanted me to replace it. Ill never call them again.

From the first meeting and sale with Corey, the preinstallation walkthrough with Steve, and the amazing installation team of Randy, Seth, and Nick, Kalins has been professional, honest and provided great customer service. The install team went above and beyond today, starting and completing a huge job on a Friday so wed have heat for the weekend. The guys even worked without a lunch break. They aerosealed our duct work sealing up gaps, and ensuring even heat distribution in our rooms and saving heating costs and better performance because we are heating our rooms now not our interior walls. Wow! I can feel the difference already! You all need to check this out. Even new houses, will benefit from this. Bruce Kalins has a fine team of caring technicians who do a fabulous job. Highly recommend them!! And you can say I sent you. 👍

Two men here to install HVAC, working nonstop until completed, both were friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

The Kalins technician called to let me know when they were coming and arrived within the time he quoted me.. When the technician came, he had a mask and covered his shoes before entering my home. He was courteous and completed the job in a timely manner.

Our air conditioning went out during a week of 90plus degree temps. Kalins helped us choose a new unit and were able to come out fairly quick, even working on Saturday to get everything installed and working again. They also loaned us a portable air conditioner to keep the house somewhat livable while we waited for the parts. Excellent service

Amazing people! My heat went out and so I had to call them at 3 in the morning. They showed up in less then 30 minutes and had everything going! They know what their doing !

Did not have a good experience with this company. Called and made an appointment to have my system checked as I was losing Freon and the lady answering the phones said no probable they would come out and look at all the components and also check for leaks. Bill came out and was good to work with but mentioned it cost 300+ extra to check for leaks. Basically paid for them to tell me what I already knew. I have a leak somewhere. I’m guessing after reading the other reviews the person who answers the phone must be of some relation to company due to multiple complaints and no action taken. Will definitely not recommend.

Great job, explained in detail to all that was done and answered all my questions. The guys were very polite and kept their work area clean. They wore coverings on their shoes so as not to track through our home. We really appreciated all their work and follow through.

I have had the pleasure of doing business with Kalins Indoor Comfort for many years. Staff are professional and very qualified to take care of any issue I could throw their way. A little bit higher priced, yet I always feel as though I got MUCH better service than the charges reflected. I will be a customer for years to come!

I am very pleased with the service work I had done recently. Employee was prompt and thorough. He not only explained but showed me a meter test of a furnace part that was worn and gave me a cost for replacing it. He carefully explained the likelihood of it failing and the possible consequences on other parts of the furnace. He answered all of my questions. I am pleased with all aspects of this appointment

$89 for a diagnostic check. $95 to clean the flame sensor with a Scotch Brite pad (5 minutes worth of work).Not much value here. Other companies wont saddle you for a diagnostic check. They simply troubleshoot the problem and charge for their labor and repair parts. In this case, labor only, $95 to clean a flame sensor is outrageous!

We had our winter routine maintenance done by Bill Kammerer on Feb. 14, 2018. Our two systems were checked out thoroughly with explanations about what was found and what recommendations w might consider. We are very satisfied with this service.

The technicians are knowledgeable and friendly! They value and respect me as a customer. I highly recommend Kalins for all your heating, cooling and fireplace needs!

Never EVER do business with these people. The person answering their phone is really rude and will not make any notes that you called and their servicemen are completely incompetent. Disregarded our complaints that the $8k Lennox unit they installed was not working correctly. I called over and over again and was told that it wasnt their problem, that something else was obviously causing our bills to be high. Our bills, were nearly $1000 a month in winter. Took me going to the Sioux City Home Show and saying very loudly how they were NOT taking care of our problem despite many MANY attempts to get them out there. So to reiterate, to finally get them to agree to look at the unit it took 2 YEARS after we had been having outrageous bills. Then they discovered it was installed wrong. Then had the nerve to say we were LUCKY they didnt charge for their visit. We had paid thousands of dollars in utilities that we should never have paid. They fixed it with a new part. But the bills were still outrageous and it wouldnt heat or cool our home correctly. Took a few more months to get them out. Turned out the unit was faulty and had been in emergency heat mode the whole time. They soldered something together to bypass emergency heat all together without our approval, no doubt voiding the Lennox warranty. But despite the fix, the bills were still completely outrageous. Fast forward to now and the AC cant remotely cool our house and my husband demanded they come out. It turns out they did the last fix wrong...and then they CHARGED us to come out to fix THEIR mistake!!!!?!?!?!?!?! They have put us in thousands of dollars of unnecessary debt over the last 3 years over a unit that was no doubt faulty and then compounded the problem by offering shoddy fixes that never worked to begin with. I want it gone. PLEASE take this warning to heart, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

Technician, Ryan, came out and from the get-go explained the overall assessment process. Didnt mind I was following him around and was open to answering any questions I had on my system. He made a couple of suggestions for improvement over what I have right now, but not a hard sell (as he indicated, hes a technician, not a salesman). He got the system cooling down my house and left me with the information needed so I can decide whether I want to proceed with a service agreement, additional equipment, or eventually a new system.A huge thank you to Ryan for taking care of me that day!

Had a very disappointing experience with these guys. We called them to come fix our ice machine at our restaurant. When the technician showed up he said the plumbing was hooked up all wrong and he couldnt do a thing until it was all re-plumbed even though it has worked for almost a year with it being hooked up this way. We had a different company fix it in March and they said the plumbing was fine. Then the tech told us in a very condescending tone that he had done this for years and left without doing a thing to fix the machine. I guess they didnt want our business. Not only is their service bad but the techs and the person who answers their phones are very rude. We will never use this company again and wont recommend them to anyone else.

Very good experience. The man that came to our house was very nice and very professional. Had our furnace working again in no time and then made sure to check everything out to make sure there were no other problems. Would definitely call them again for any furnace or air conditioning problems.

Called at 8 oclock for service call on AC unit. The gal took my information and told me dispatch would call me to set up an appointment. Never heard from dispatch until 320 in the afternoon, was told it didnt look good for repairs today but they would check tomorrow and see where I was on their priority list and get back to me. That was a week ago and still NO CALL. Guess what, called one of your competitors and they couldnt get here fast enough. Kalins, you will not be allowed on my property again. ADIOS
