I went to the location on 6638 Nieman in Shawnee. Loved it. OMG. It is nothing like the stores out South. It has a Home section and I fell in love with it. The store is so well organized. The employee was nice. They even have a 3 for $10 mix and match section like Bath and Body. WOW. Im Impressed!!!

I think the older lady at your store needs to be trained how to help the customers better when checking customers out I normally have good service at your store Im probably will not shop at your store anymore because of that

The guy that runs the place is well dressed, very polite and keeps the store clean. The only dollar general in the kc metro area that is clean. Great place.

Biggest DG yet. Clean. More to offer. Even sells beer. I was just astonished of the size, variety and clean. Though its not fully stocked with cleaning supplies, toilet paper and papwr towels ( it was what i went there for) still nice

The employees greeted us and asked if we needed help. Which was awesome because not all dollar generals have nice employees in my experience.

This is a good store in my opinion for when you need something generic for a good price... like food or tooth paste. Mostly, if they have it, it will be for a good price. Not a fancy place for sure, and the employees are passable, but the prices are good.

This store is always out of exactly what I need, and is very disorganized. Staff is friendly, though.

What l look for is easy access to the merchandise. And most dollar stores you go to quite often there are boxes or cart blocking the aliens, setup makes sense to.

This was my first time even noticing this new DG & let me tell you how happy I am that I did... pretty happy. It was so much cleaner & nicer than any other Id seen & the inventory seemed better, too. That maybe because the atmosphere, but I was more satisfied than any other time Ive left DG. It normally makes me wanna immediately wash my hands, ya know!?

The store has many items, but it is not very well organized. Seems like many things are left stacked on the floor. Hard to find someone to help you. Often, if you have a question, you have to stand in checkout line and wait for cashier to . There is usually no one on the floor to ask. In general, the store appears dirty. Parking for handicapped is absent or not marked and regular parking is not as convenient as in other areas.

This Dollar General is our favorite even though there are closer locations to our home. The selection and stocking are the best of all the Dollar Generals Ive visited. The store would score better if they could support their staff more, they are very helpful and nice - just overworked.

Very nice staff, I do believe you need more staff. The cashiers I have observed, are doing 3 jobs at once. They are at the register, they are putting away stock, and they are helping customers in the aisles. They do a fantastic job, but you are going to wear out your good staff, and they will leave. Treat Them Right and they will stay as long as they can, truth

The cashier was it very polite and spoke to everybody. I shop at the store lot and this is the first time that an employee has interacted with the customers the way she did. Employees like this is what will make customers come back.

What can I say its a dollar store. Its a great place to find different things for your house, and you wont even have to get a second mortgage to buy.My wife does table decorations for the ministry we serve in at our church. And she has managed to put together different themes for all twelve months matching their seasons. All from the dollar store.So, Judd you want to be creative and put together some cool decorations for your home, office our church. The dollar store should be your first stop.

Its very warm and friendly atmosphere. They treat you kind of like family. I especially enjoy being waited on by Dawn. Shes genuinely caring and always has the right things to say.

I have not had an unpleasant experience here. I found what I needed and had a fast and prompt checkout. On one occasion though, I did have to wait at the checkout for a minute longer than usual as they were training a new cashier. Other than that, its a standard Dollar General with good service.

Very clean and over all neat compared to a lot of the other stores friendly enough staff however I beeped going out the door and when I brought my bags back so she could check them she goes oh no its fine probably a sticker without ever looking all though since I work for dollar general as well which she didnt know the joys of being a secret shopper she should have known its company policy to check anyone that beeps and there was indeed a hardtag in plain sight that I had to have her remove so lesson one always always check a person that beeps if they didnt beep coming in they shouldnt beep coming out and two the customer is always right even if u didnt want to check the bags I was uncomfortable beeping I should not have had to find the tag myself mistakes happen but I said something three times before pointing out the tag.

Was my go to Dollar General in Shawnee. Always had a pleasant experience.

Advertised prices in store for additional clearance are not honored although posted.. store is not organized and you have to walk around extra inventory which makes some aisles impassable. Just not organized and always short staffed

Staff super helpful!!!! I had my own latex balloons blown up here at a good price for my daughters 1st bday. Store is clean and offers a lot of options for groceries and other products. The only thing I didnt care for was the location, kinda sketch part of town. A lot of customers looked like they were on drugs or homeless. I was worried about my car getting broken into when I went inside. My car looked out of place.

Prices have gone way up. The only thing that is worth buying there is wrinkle releaser, Febreeze, and most importantly allergy medicine. The atmosphere of the store was only worth it when the prices were low. I think theyve been ripped off so much they had to increase their prices to compensate for the theft. I hope the thieves realize theyre only making things more expensive for themselves and everyone else! 😡

Although their systems were down, Katie and Sam helped me through my transaction and manually put in every single one of my coupons! They were so nice and helpful!

Small “ethnic” section for POC when it comes to hair products and options. I went in to look for a specific hair product and brand, I couldn’t find anything. The hair section was full of brands and options for non POC which was very upsetting. This place is usually cluttered at the entrance and not very appealing when you first walk in. The staff are usually upbeat and polite/helpful. I use my coupons on the DG app when shopping here and that helps a whole lot! I do love how the staff try and help customers out with the $5 off on certain Saturdays I was lucky to get it when I went shopping for some household items for cleaning.

If I could give 0 Stars I would!!!Went to grab a couple quick groceries before noticing several cockroaches on the floors. I left all my items with the cashier and couldnt stomach purchasing any food there!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!

This place literally smells like a poopy diaper. We bought some milk there and after we check out, realized it was actually already expired. When we took it back in, they let us exchange it, but I couldnt believe that they would have let us walk out buying sour milk.

Very displeased with my service here. I came in to get medicine because Im sick, and I had all change (silver coins, all dimes nickels and quarters) and the lady at the counter 1. Tells me I HAVE to count the change myself (Ive worked retail, and if I would have told a customer they had to count the change themselves, I would have got reprimanded or fired) 2. Gave me an attitude because it was all in change, which I had enough by the way because I made sure before hand I did, but Im partialy autistic and numbers and math confuse me and I felt put on spot so I felt pressured to count the money, when thats her job in the first place, and 3. She then had the audacity to tell me next time dont bring it in loose like that again. I had more than enough, because I got change back, and I wasnt trying to scam or be like Im short, can you spot a few cents, I just didnt expect to do her job for her then get an attitude. Im also not one to judge, but she certainly didnt look like the most upstanding citizen and had no room to look down or belittle me especially when I was nothing but polite the whole time and did nothing wrong. Oh, and on top of that, she didnt give me a receipt nor did she offer me one, which most store policys means that my money should be refunded, but I didnt feel like getting profiled and defamated again while Im trying to shop, so Im not worried about it. But i am writing this, and I will be contacting a regional manager or someone not from that store and reporting a formal complaint, and I didnt notice her name. Which is kind of convient she didnt give me a receipt . do not go to this store unless you want to feel like a piece of crap.
