Beautiful location for a great price! All sorts of new things coming too! First place that I lived where the management actually cares about you. If you can get a unit here then jump on it! You will not be disappointed.

Place is awesome! The application process is relatively fast and easy to understand. I was approved, paid my holding deposit (described in the Craigslist ad), and LIKE THAT, I had my apartment. Thanks, Yolanda!

Starters: there is no cockroach infestation and I have never gotten the run around from management. I know who Jake is and I am so glad you moved out! You were rude to everyone here and kept parking yours and your girlfriends cars in our spots. Your girlfriend is also the girl that would take everyones clothes out of the dryer when the dryer had only a few min been finished...Anyways I am writing this review because I love where I live now compared to where I use to live. The apartment manager yolanda has been nothing but kind and helpful to me. I moved almost two years ago and some tenants here did complain about the manager but it was for reasons beyond her control and so since she is the manager she has also become the blame for example one of the tenants has to park between an SUV and a FORD f250 and a pole, so the tenant decides to blame the manager when what people choose to drive is beyond the control of the manager and her role and responsibilities as one. Everywhere there are negative people or situations but how we look at it tells people in volume who we are as a person. Imperial does not have roaches, does not have rodents, has a working washer and dryer open 24 hours, working elevator and its a quiet pretty friendly atmosphere. It can be a bit pricey but worth every penny because freedom, peace of mind, my daughter feeling safe and happy is priceless! It is a community of all backgrounds and I feel home when coming to my apartment..I am thankful and happy that Yolanda turned out to be such a blessing in disguise..thank you yolanda you truly are the best in what is expected of an apartment manager and more!!!!

Pretty bummed out on this apartments manager. Basically I put in an application for the place without even looking at it on Monday. The manager approved my application and asked me how long I wanted to hold it. The very same day. I replied I wanted to check out the place first and pay the deposit there, and told her that I am 90 percent certain that I want to move there. The very next day she tells me the place is taken by somebody else and cancels everything with me. She claimed that she told me I had to pay the deposit to hold it. Like expecting me to know all of her company policy within 24 hours. She didnt tell me anything. I already explained my situation to her moving from San Diego to Santa Ana. Knowing that I work full time and my only time was this Friday to visit the place, she outright just swiped the place from me to another tenant because they supposedly paid the deposit... I was never offered a chance to pay the deposit at all.Overall, this sudden maneuver by this manager was trying to screw me out of the rent special that she had on craigslist. One advice if you are trying to rent this place, make sure you make a deposit or else they will swipe it to somebody who pays first, despite having your application approved!!

Lived in this place for a year and wanted to inform people that are thinking of making the mistake of moving here. First off. The hot water is terrible. If you plan on taking a shower anytime from 9am-9pm expect to wait 10 minutes for luke warm water. Then when you decide that this is as warm as its going to get, jump in and hurry because theres a 99.99% chance that it will be freezing cold again within 2 minutes. Also the manager will give you the run around for months until you realise that this is just the procedure for this place and they have no intention of fixing it. COCKROACHES! EVERYWHERE! theres a giant cockroach infestation in the parking structure below and they like to make their way up your drain pipes into your kitchen sink! Also when it rains your kitchen and bathroom will flood with dirty yellow water coming back up through your drains, Gross! HEATING! We moved in in December and endured months of freezing cold until they repaired our heater which i promise you I dont think ever really worked. But whats worse is that when they repaired our heater theypreceeded to unrepair our AC! Because when summer came we found out that our AC didnt work either! Oh and the mantainence people they used to fix our heater/AC, they left dirt fingerprints everywhere they touched and guess what? They charged us for that on move out. The laundry room washer/dryer is severely outdated and half the size of a normal unit, but more expensive than everywhere else! Amazing! Parking is a disaster. Theres zero guest parking unless youre a relative of the manager and if youre not? Your car gets towed! Youre never going to find parking anywhere on bush or 17th street. Also the manager will hassle you if you have a girlfriend that visits more than a couple days a month. She isnt allowed !! Must be on the lease!! Theres also a very foul sewer stench coming from the drain vents in the front of the building! Very Gross.Pros - we moved finallyCons - minimal to no hot water, old unusable AC/Heater, cockroaches, parking, sewer stench, Homeless shacked up by the building, unprofessional management that will give you the runaround on everything! Too Expensive with zero ammenities.
