This agency is pathetic. I applied for a customer service position in San Antonio. I scheduled a phone interview for 3pm on 1/27/21. I got a call at 11:30am on 1/28/21. If you weren’t gonna call me on my scheduled time that you asked me to choose, it shows how much you don’t care for others. Also, I applied for a substitute teacher in the same day but at different times. Mrs. Lisa on the phone refused to go through the interview process for the customer service one because I was sent a email about the substitute teacher one and that I should just go with that one. I told her how I applied to the customer service one first, and she was like “well I don’t wanna continue if you submitted another application and have a interview for it.” I’m sorry but that pathetic of a company to think just because I have another interview, that it means I’m not interested. It simply means I want options. I want to see what’s out there. This company needs a lot of work and Mrs Lisa is not a good person to talk to.

I am an adult female with Aspergers, although on the spectrum I am high functioning in all areas other than one on one social interactions with other adults. I have over 8 years of professional experience and have never been fired.I worked for Kelly Educational Staffing in Nashville, Tennessee as a substitute teacher. During my time there I received nothing but glowing reviews.I moved to Lubbock due to a family emergency, and I contacted the Kelly Educational branch in San Antonio to see if I could transfer over. She told me that I could as they had a shortage, and that they would accept my Bachelors degree instead of transcripts until I could purchase them. She also told me to call back when I relocated to SA.I moved and went to the staffing office in San Antonio, upon sign in I noticed only a few people had appointments. I completed what I could due to the holiday and the actual branch being located in I Houston, who was not yet available.After I left I called and set up an appointment to return. While waiting in the office the second time, for my phone interview, the staff there commented that ‘for future reference employers expect transcripts not degrees’ although I didn’t like her tone I agreed and apologized.I completed the phone interview, the Houston representative said they would run my back ground check, and if it cleared she would give me next steps on Monday so I could start Tuesday.On Monday morning she called apologizing that at this time they would not accept my request to substitute. I inquired if it had to do with my substitute time in Nashville. She replied that I had rave reviews in Nashville, my background check cleared with flying colors, and the reasons they were not proceeding was that I had an overall ‘snippy attitude, I showed up without an appointment, and my overall image wasn’t how they felt a Kelly substitute should dress.’ She told me I shouldn’t be afraid to apply to other Kelly positions and hung up.Apart from my substitute experience in Nashville with this company I have a Bachelors degree in a teaching field and am a month away from earning my teaching certification. I also have experience working for an ISD as a TA. I was denied based on personal opinions of my image and my attitude (which I believe was their interpretation of my disability).I will also be sending this up higher, as this is not appropriate hiring procedures and IS discrimination.
