I am extremely thankful to have been referred to this location because she was able to put a rush on my alteration request for my wedding dress (Only five days). Considering the amount of work it was going to take it am very appreciative. They only accept cash and you must pay prior.

I have had my suits done here and work pants no issues. My mom and sister started using Monica’s for their dresses as well. Good service

All the other alterations had horrible reviews so I drove a little bit to this place.I got my uniform pants altered to fit my legs since they were very wide.Only charged $16 and the turnaround was I dropped it off Saturday picked up Monday.Satisfied with my service! I had such an amazing experience. I have prom around the corner and needed a last minute alteration for my dress. The lady was so kind and generous by helping me. I told her exactly what i wanted and needed and she did exactly what I had in mind. I tried it on before and afterwards to make sure the dress fitted.Over all Im glad I went here for my prom dress. Took my suit to get fixed up and they did not disappoint. They sewed up my pants and coat and they fit perfect. Definitely worth the money.

I went to have a dress taken in and a pair of pants to have the hem adjusted. They did a great job. My clothes were ready well before the pick up date.

I needed some slacks altered same day to be used the next day called to my usual place where I buy suites and they were unable to help me, most places I called said no but I called Monica’s about 1.5 hours before closing time and they were able to do it for me at a affordable price, took about 15 minutes! This will be my new alterations go to place. Quality of work was also very good. Thank you!

I LOVE Monicas! I have never worked with any seamstress who gives me exactly what I asked for and knows how to work with my body type. I am a very petite girl, so I constantly need dresses to be shortened and straps to be taken up! I have never once been disappointed by her work. Despite what Brittany said, they are all very sweet and always have fun conversations with my family and I. I highly recommend this place!

I like going to Monica s Alterations for the friendly staff and reasonable prices. I have called around town and I have been given much higher prices on their alterations. I will keep on using Monica s for my alteration needs. Brought two shirts to get tailored, when I picked them up they were tailored more than what was requested. I asked if they could bring them out some and was told that I was lying because the shirt was already small. They fixed it but obviously they couldnt fix it right. The sewing they did I could have done at home. Will not return to this place again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! They are really rude ! I asked one question and the lady starting taking off all my pins from my dress and said “then fine dont do it here” she said I was questioning her work of 20+ years. She seems like she hates what she does! She kept arguing, who does that when she is trying to run a business. Guess she doesn’t need the money. I wouldn’t even give her any stars but had to so I could write this review.

I have gone to Monica for years for all of my altering needs and she has always done an excellent job! She has shortened dresses, shortened and tapered pants. She has even custom-fitted a blouse for me and it now fits wonderfully! I highly recommend Monica for all of your altering needs!

If youre looking for fast and courteous service you will most definitely not find it here. I brought in a total of four shirts to be taken in. These included two tshirts and two blouses. As I was being measured the seamstress made a comment about how thin I was and asked why I didnt eat more. Unfortunately due to a problem with my metabolism, it is nearly impossible for me to gain weight. Ive been steuggling to put on weight since the second grade so of course I did not appreciate the comment. Also, if it werent for people with all sorts of weight problems, Im sure they wouldnt have nearly as much business. When I called in on Tuesday to ask if my shirts were ready the person on the phone told me to check my receipt and that would tell me when they were scheduled to be ready. They were scheduled for the next day but I was on that side of town and figured it wouldnt hurt to ask. I was told that they were but that it was 15 minutes till close so not to go that day. I was literally down the street about 2 minutes away but apparently couldnt pick up my shirts. When I finally went to pick them up I come to find out that the place is cash only. There is not a single visible sign that says its cash only. About 10 minutes later I return with cash and just grab my clothes and leave. At this point Im already flustered because Im running late. When I open the bag the shirts came in I come to find out that the shirts are only taken in on the waist area. So they look absolutely ridiculous. This was by far the worst experience Ive had at an alterations business. I didnt even return to get the shirts fixed because of their lack of common courtesy. Do yourself a favor and pick literally any other place in San Antonio.

We will not be returning to this alterations place again. Rude manners and poor alterations job done on a pair of mens dress slacks. Tapered the leg like skinny jeans and left the pleated top part like pallazo pants. They charge a great amount of money for bad alteration work.

I have taken several garments in For Alterations. Although I speak Spanish they were able to perform very good Alterations For Me.

I was very dissatisfied with the work done on a dress. I took a long summer dress and requested it be shortened and it was, I pd and left then tried it on at home only to see it was cut long in front and back because it was a dress that is shaped like a half moon on the bottom. They agreed to fix it free of charge but then I went today to pick it up only to try it on and it was butchered and the lining of the dress was now visible. Then the two ladys that were at the store said that it was my fault that the dress turned out that way. I couldnt believe that professional seamstress and I use the term loosely were blaming me. I would not take anything to them!I wouldnt even give them 1 star!

NEVER AGAIN !!!!!! The owner was very rude with no people skills.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even in front of my kids, the lady was very disrespectful. By the way, dont ask for a receipt because she gets very upset and wonders why we need it !!! It was our first and last time at that place. Owners of a business should do their best to keep customers, and consider themselves blessed for having their own business. This lady was the total opposite. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!

I went to drop off a few pairs of jeans here to be hemmed at the bottom. The owner turned to me and said You are so thin. Do you eat sometimes? Im not sure why a business owner thinks its ok to talk about a customers weight?? Completely inappropriate. I will not be returning.

Ok . we had 3 pants . one of them just needed a zipper 10.00$ ok one needed a patch 10.00$ and one zipper 10.00$ and a button ok ten dollars for a plastic button. Could of done that, my self,I was expecting a blue jean button the steal one. Very disappointed.

I experienced the same as others- rude service and prices were actually higher then high name brand location where we were taking our motorcycle club jackets to . I was trying to tell them that we could bring plenty of business but she insisted on their high price.

Short hair older lady that sits in the first station is very rude and has no customer service etiquette. I doubt owner knows that she is losing patrons by allowing this lady to continue to work there. I will take my business elsewhere.
