I recently relocated to San Antonio and Kings Barber was my first barbershop experience in this new town. The barbers are professional, skilled, and friendly. I would have no problems bringing my kids there for haircuts as the music being played was nice and the shop conversation was respectful. I am definitely going back. Coming from an urban city I was not too sure I would find a good barber, I am glad I found this shop.

This place has been a gem for textured hair! The creativity and attention to detail on the hair cuts have given me a huge sigh of relief when it comes to the maintenance of my sons hair. My son always leave the shop with an extra bounce of confidence in his step compared to the dismal walk of reluctance when we leave from other barber shops. Cutting heavily textured hair in a way that doesnt look like a student apprentice performed the work is hard to find in San Antonio. Yes, any haircutter can cut hair but to give you cut that actually boost your confidence...a rare find indeed. I also appreciate how professional, courteous, and prompt they all work. Sometimes there is a wait, even with a confirmed appointment, but the end result is always on point. I also appreciate how if they know youll be out of town and may need a freshen up cut, they will only recommend barbers they know to have quality work.

Place has a great vibe and feel. Not your average barber shop. Definitely much classier. Go to Stacy if youre looking for a clean experienced cut!

I had set an appointment on booksy for 1:15 on Monday the 12. I looked on that day to see the hours and I was told by Google that you were closed. I called, and there was no answer, so I cancelled the appointment. I have been notified by Booksy that I was charged a cancellation fee, and that I would have to contact you about a refund

Got my first fade here today, stacy j cut roughly 10”+ off. he did a fantastic job, and the shop was super welcoming! i definitely recommend anyone in the shop, because in the short time i spent there, every client i saw left with an amazing cut.

Very friendly staff and the owner Jelani does custom designs in your shaved head. Jelani is very talented and its a great environment also. Very highly recommend this place. There is a lady here that does braids and she is amazing. When I go Im so in awe of her talent and skills on doing the super tiny braids and all of her braiding skills. All of her clients look so great! Every barber and beautician in this location are amazing! Very very very highly recommend this place!

This was my first time visiting this barber shop because I just moved to the area. I was greeted at the front door, my temperature was taken, and was honestly told I may have to wait due to the timing of my arrival. I was taken care of by a highly professional barber, “Daray” even though he had an appointment arriving he took the extra effort to make sure I was satisfied. Great place I will return soon! Finally a good barber shop!!

My daughter cut a chunk out of her hair and Vouge worked a miracle! They are so good with children and very informative about what they are doing. Vogue did an awesome job!!

Update 10/22/20Top notch everything, again. Ralph cut my sons hair today for the first time since quarantine hit. We couldnt be happier with the cut, the service, or the price. To quote my 5 year old, this place is AWEsomeMy husband and our 4 yr old were walk-ins here and instantly made to feel welcomed by all of the staff. Super clean and sleek atmosphere. Most of all, excellent cuts. My husband is happy with his first cut in years and says hell be making this his regular spot now that he wants to keep his hair short again. We also love the cut our son got and the barber was super patient and did awesome with him. Very happy we found this place!

We were heading to a wedding and needed some nice cuts. So we found this place on google maps and walked in. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner himself and who was so kind! The barbers are just such a great group of people. None of us guys really knew what kind of haircut we wanted but they went above and beyond. I got the best haircut I’ve had in years haha! Even when the barber just started lining up the sides it already looked so good! All the barbers were really really respectful and funny too! Definitely would go there again! ...even if it means driving down from Dallas! I know that the owner’s business is going places because of the people that he’s hired, the company atmosphere and the way they treat their customers. The owner even took sometime to explain how he cuts hair, the business and how it all works. He was genuine and caring! His gift really made room for him!Hopefully they open up a couple more barbershops cause I love this place!! Jordan, Eddy, Justin and Jonathan will always love this place!

They do a great job cutting but I don’t understand how you can be getting a simple cut with your appointment at noon and not get in the chair until 1. They need to do a better job scheduling and leave less open times to schedule.

My BF has been going to Jelani for years, since before he opened up his own shop when he was inside Salons by JC, and he continues to have very bad time management. He has canceled last min multiple times and he even has not showed up or been there for the appointment multiple times. I can count on 1 hand at how many times Jelani has been on time. I hope that the other barbers arent this bad at scheduling or time management. My BF wont leave a review but I will. And my BF will book weeks in advance and still be at the shop for 1.5 hrs at least. Such a shame because he is a pretty good barber.

If your barbers picture on his barber license he has sunglasses on he a terrible barber. This guy took 2 hrs cutting my hair because he talks so much. Focus!. Nice place probably wont be there long

My dads been coming to Kings for months and were always happy with the result. The haircuts are great and the barber is always super friendly. The new location is beautiful with an amazing view. The interior is pretty simple right now because he just moved but I know hell have the place looking fly soon enough. I highly recommend!

Jelani is Phenomenal!

Jelani gave my little brother (13) his first ever real deal precision haircut. His face lit up when he saw his reflection in the mirror it was so cute! He has so many cow licks and his texture is a bit wonky but Jelani finessed the cut like a true professional. We will definitely be back

I’ve cut my hair at KINGS’ BARBERSHOP for 2 years and have loved every cut. This man is amazing at what he does and he treats you with the up most respect. I would recommend him to anyone in San Antonio passing by just looking for a cut or someone looking for a permanent barbershop. Have been several times to see Brazil & it’s been outstanding each time. Tried several barber shops in the area & this one is by far the best. Would recommend booking an appointment, but walk-ins are taken care of as quickly as possible.

Was not able to see what my hair was looking like as it was being cut and didnt ask me for much information about what I wanted and made some assumptions that I really disliked, especially with my beard which I was overall pretty upset with. Definitely too pricey for what I got.

His services are great, offers amazing haircuts and possibly whatever else you can request. I love my time, and I would assume everyone else does too. For someone who sets up appointments, they are hardly on the scheduled time and you receive notification about the change on the same day or when you get there you’re told to wait.Definitely recommend for people with a flexible schedule, if you have a certain event or on a tight schedule, have a backup plan.

Just move to texas from New York and finally I found a great barber to take my son to. Its great family friendly place to go, clean music and a very clean and professional place. I think its a little pricey but i guess your have to pay for perfection worth every penny I will definitely go back and I definitely recommend them to someone who looking for a fly hair cut

I was looking for a new barber after my last one moved. I’m very particular about who cuts my hair and I scoured the internet for positive reviews on a local barber. After reading plenty of positive reviews I decided to give “Kings” a try. I was not disappointed, he listened to what I wanted and executed the cut flawlessly. Definitely going to be a return client.

The barber is a great guy with some great stories. But if you’re looking for someone to actually cut your hair the way you want it I would go somewhere else. Told him to take 1/4 inch off the top and he completely butchered my hair. I will not be going to him for a haircut ever again.

Its always hard finding the right barber when you move to a new place. Over the last several months I had visited several barbers, and the cuts ranged from decent to awful. Kings Barbershop is my last stop. My girlfriend used to prefer it when my hair was longer instead of short. That ended when she saw the haircut I got here, she absolutely loved it. By far the best cut Ive had in this town hands down.
