I can tell everyone. This barber knows his craft very well!! It took along while & many visits to different barbers to finally find the one. He runs a great shop. Comfortable from the moment you step in! Efficient, clean environment. At times, the shop can be full, the wait time isnt very long& definately worth it! Only ONE barber working. As soon as I walked in I was given the “rules” after I said I was a new customer. $35 isn’t too bad for a good cut, but after seeing the last guy he worked on, decided to try a different place. Be prepared for cash only, no appointments, and only one barber.

2/2020 Just got back in to see all American barbershop again and he helped me out with a very sensitive scalp issue, I really appreciate his knowledge and expertise, I am feeling more and more at home in this barbershop. What makes a good barber shop. It’s the vibe as my barber Kevin simply puts it. It can’t be explained in words but it’s simply felt. Kevin and the other barbers definitely keeps the vibe going whether it’s music in the background or the NBA finals going on. Just moved to the San Antonio area and looked online for some good barber shops. Atmosphere is super cool with a pool table and good music playing. My barber, Jose, was super friendly and kept the conversation going. I have super straight hair, so I asked him for suggestions and he hooked me up with the best fade Ive gotten and made some suggestions for how to style my hair. The late closing time is a huge plus, Ill definitely be back on a regular basis.

This place came in clutch when another barber messed my hair up. Will be going to this gentleman from now on. You have earned my business and can’t wait to get my hair cut again!

Saw the two hundred plus reviews and close to a 5 star rating, so I had to check this place out. Very convenient location, close to downtown. I definitely liked that I was able to walk in on my own time as I my work schedule is always busy. Jose Luis (marine veteran) is extremely knowledgeable and gave me incredible service. He is meticulous with his work and cares about his customers. The haircut I recieved was on point and overall just a great experience. He greeted every customer as they walked in. He even offered me water or soda. The shop was playing great music. The waiting area had some televisions and a diverse set of books to read, ranging from artistic to historical. This was my first time here but definitely not my last.

I moved to San Antonio three years ago and it’s taken me this long to find somebody that finally knows how to cut my hair. Help these guys out and pay them in cash so they can keep more in their pocket. Don’t be an a-hole and make sure to tip well, because their work is worth it. They have good reviews for a reason. I love this place! Been coming since its previous location and have enjoyed seeing it grow into what its becoming. I love that you dont need an appointment because it makes it easy to bring my son at MY convenience and the wait is never too long. If it is, theres complimentary beverages, video games, and pool table to keep you occupied. Chelsea did an amazing job. She takes her time and takes pride in her craft. Prices are higher than a regular cut at, say, Supercuts... but you get what you pay for. Here you get quality service and a great cut. Thanks for being our go-to barbershop!

This was an amazing location to get a haircut, I highly recommend it. Im out from Utah, and this shop thank god was open till 10pm. The barber even though I didnt catch his name was very professional and when you want to engage in a conversation he will engage in that conversation, more than any other barber I have ever talked to. I can not remember the last time I had a haircut. Its been years but finally decided the long hair wasnt cutting it (according to friends and family and strangers).To be perfectly honest I found this place on Google, it was nearby, didnt check reviews at all and went in blindly. And Im so glad I did. I dont think Ive ever had an experience like the one I just had here an hour ago. Great time was taken and the attention to detail was quite surreal, I look COMPLETELY different! Worth every penny spent, so much so that next time I need something done Im coming hear again for sure (for reference I live north of the medical center).Parking is alright, have cash ready, will go again when I need to. (mind the photos, I rarely photograph well)

Good haircuts, the barber charges $30 for the cut

In all reality, it should read negative 5 stars. Lets start with first impressions. What impressed me the most was not of a human characteristic, but, of a certain wall. If you look very closely at this wall, it was given more attention to detail than what I as a customer, a future customer, a person that may refer a friend too, customer, was given. My second impression was not any better. I was greeted by a single unmasked barber in plain white undershirt, flip flops with socks that gave me the impression he had just woken up, who was attending an unmasked customer. Finally, finishing with his customer he proceeded to call me over without even giving a second thought on cleaning or sterilizing his instruments or even spraying down the chair with disinfectants. Wow!!, where has this person been for the past several months. Hasnt he realized Tex is in the middle of a pandemic? Standing there wanting me to take a seat, I asked him, as if I didnt know already; what the rules and laws regulating Covid-19 were. I wanted to know if he knew the city code for operating under person to person close contact. Avoiding my question, he response by being pretty adamant about his freedom. Looking with sure certainty he goes on to say, that, why should anyone take my freedom away . I tell him. No one is taking your freedom away from you. Its just rules we have to follow. Exactly! he says. they want to take your freedom away from you and tell you what you have to do. So, I tell him, Yes it makes sense to me. I mean we are in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC! for christ sake. Rule of advice. Working with the public in the middle of a pandemic. I dont want to hear your left wing thoughts on what government is doing to you. Rules are rules, they are there for a reason. You know what the rules are. You do as youre told and follow your city laws. You are lucky I have not reported you to the city in violating code. For anyone wanting a haircut, I seriously would go some place else. 30$ for a haircut and the unprofessionalism of not cleaning is just not worth risking 3000$ in medical bills because his freedom was violated in choosing not to wear a mask. Needles to say I politely excused myself out the door never to return. Its not about you. its about your customer and first impressions and this business failed.

I went in yesterday for the first time. They took me in pretty late even though they were about to close for the day. Kevin did a great job with my hair.. took his time and did the job right rather than rushing it. Would definitely recommend this place and going back for sure!

I was very nervous because I had women’s hair, it was very long, and I cut it to a men’s style, and although it might be a challenge for most, it wasn’t for him, and he definitely worked some magic and left me with a boost of self confidence! Visited this location on a weekend trip to san Antonio, and the staff were very welcoming (the hype was real) ... ended up coming back later that evening to get my haircut.. which big props to CAM, the guy was ridiculously good. He asked all the necessary questions and just took it from there.. the process in itself gets 5 stars. the result was one I hadnt had since I moved to the states... Highly recommend to all In and out of the area.

I literally drive all the way from Austin to get my haircut done by Chelsie at All American. She is the definite best. She does both my hair and my beard. I am extremely picky with my hair, and she’s cuts it to perfection. If anyone is looking for a good barber I def recommend her. I would give a 6th star if I could. I’ve never walked out of there disappointed. Best in the business!

The new guy Kevin did a great job, he fixed the part that my last barber made crooked and did a perfect fade. The guy getting a cut before me ripped him off by lying about his student discount, he said he was going to grab his student ID and come back but never did, it didn’t effect Kevin’s mood at all and he still put his full effort into making my cut great.

Would give this place 6 stars if I could, Jose is the bomb diggity and the shop really is too 🤙🏾

I’ve been going to AA Barbershop for about four months now and have been extremely satisfied every time. It’s so hard to find a decently priced barbershop in San Antonio. Plus it offers a discount for military. I’ve declared Chelsie my SATX barber. Friendly down to earth and does an amazing job on the hair if you want that clean cut professional during the day and can still style it for a party at night! Received nothing but good reviews on my head so 4 stars for Chelsie and All American Barbershop!

Found this place on Google last Thursday night...owner was closing but was nice enough to say he could fix me up. Im prior service (Army)...he explained to me the different types of fades and took care of me. He has a good shop and if you want a haircut done right then go to his shop. Damn good cut and hes a retired Marine...go support this shop...you will not regret it

Went in for my little brothers haircut and he tried something new and had a great experience with his barber Kevin. However, I went in hoping to get my eyebrows done and I was a bit hesitant but went through with it anyway. Best decision. Ruben does an amazing job with a single blade and was able to clean up my brows and Kevin was able to do the same with my brother. Ruben hooked me up with some wax to get the stubborn hairs and black heads on my nose without charge. Definitely recommend for both males and females. Check this place out for good music and great barbers.

First time around I really liked this shop. Second time around... I have my doubts. I only tiped well because Im a food server bartender, but my barber was preoccupied with other things like he ordered a pizza in the middle of my haircut plus going out to get it when it got their. Personal phone calls blah blah blah. I will go back but maybe not the same barber.

This barber has great barbers who actually know how to cut hair. A couple years ago, I had a messed up haircut. Because they are open later in the evening, they were able to fix my hair. Ever since then, I only come to this barber shop. Not only is it veteran owned, but they have great hospitality. I strongly recommend this barber shop.
