ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT prices, customer service and quality of service. Came in after being quoted at other places over $1600 for what just cost me $500. I spent a few hours here but the labor would have been 3 hours anywhere. I received some car buying advice and a discount due to my veteran status!! Very VERY thankful to Alamo City Garage! Took my Jeep Cherokee to them to get my blower working and turned out to be just a couple of plugs that werent connecting. Charged me only $30 to get it going. They could have taken me for a expensive ride but showed me exactly what the problem was. Its very rare to find an honest auto shop but Im telling you, these guys are great. They have certainly earned my business to come back to them.

Lino and crew including Gordo are about the best. I first went after being robbed by 5-minute Oil Change. Friendly and personable staff. I have been back several times for oil changes and most recently for tires. Lino helped find the right priced tires and when I called at the last minute needing an immediate (my son ran over a screw) tire change. I called another establishment and they couldnt do it (they are closer). But I called Alamo and they had the tires on stock and the time. I paid less too. Clean and comfortable waiting area also.

I went to this mechanic shop three or four times and they did the diagnostic and never followed with the engine was telling him lino told me that the check engine light would never go off but few weeks after that I took it up to Christian Brothers automotive a diagnostic and the next thing you know they treated the problem now the difference between Alamo City garage and Christian Brothers automotive is that Christian Brothers tackle the problem Alamo City garage they took my money they went around but pursuing the problem with the engine was telling me but it kept charging me and charging me and I thought these people were good about the only good thing that they were was giving me a ride home but as far as car work I would not recommend them to anybody I wouldnt give them to my dog they have poor quality work theres only on on every part of my car that they did the other mechanics they pointed out everything that Alamo City charged me for but did not do poor workmanship and they cant find the problem I would not recommend them to anybody go to the Christian Brothers and Im not being biased Im just a person that dont know nothing about cars but what makes sense makes sense and what dont make sense dont make sense and Alamo City garage dont make sense they will rip you off and take your money I spent close to $2,000 there with no results the only thing you told me is that my check engine light may not go off but its off I took it to Christian Brothers and they did the job the first time and I never had to come back because my check engine light is still off theyve done a great job Alamo City wasting my time and wasting my money

This shop is by far the most helpful Ive been to, Im a single parent who works two jobs and my schedule is so tight.. it is hard to find times to meet up between business hours but they have always accommadated me and stayed after and worked on it fast to get me going again w my hectic schedule!!! I sent my sister here to have her car inspected for loose tie rod ends. They checked the entire suspension, test drove it and spent an hour. Did not charge for inspection. Love these guys. So I took my 2007 Jeep Commander to a garage a couple months before I brought it to the Alamo City Garage. They told me I was needing a new throttle body and a catylitic converter. They wanted to charge me a little over $1000. I knew that was wrong so I never got the work done. Then I took it here to the Alamo City Garage and they did such a thorough diagnostic and made sure they found the real issue. They even gave me a rewards card that gives me discounts and a two year warrenty on parts and labor if anything goes wrong. This is definitely my new Garage! Love them.

I purchased a car less than month ago and since it has stopped twice i understand used cars are gamble but coming from trusted mechanic who time and time again told me he thoroughly looked over the car I thought i would be totally different.

Always super friendly and willing to accommodate my schedule. I took a car there after Autozone told me my alternator was shot. I drove up and told them I needed a new alternator. They inspected it and said I needed a new battery, alternator was perfectly fine. They could have fleeced me for so much more but did not. On another visit, I had my oil changed and asked to fix a rear bulb that was out. They fixed the bulb (no charge since it was loose). Two days later the bulb was out again, and they fixed it free of charge. No issues since. Will definitely return.

I am new to the area and had no clue where to take my car for repairs. Having had bad luck in the past I was worried about being ripped off. I searched Google and found Alamo City Garage to have great reviews. I took my car there and was beyond impressed. I went in there with a vague description of one of the issues I was having. They could have told me it was a number of things and I wouldnt have known any different. Instead he told me exactly what the noise really was and that it was nothing to be concerned about. He could have charged me for all kinds of things but he didnt, he was honest! I do need a few other repairs and I will most definitly be taking it back Alamo City for them! They are really nice and honest! So thankful I found them!

Great place to take your vehicle for a repair or maintenance! The staff is first rate and the service is superb!!! They worked on two cars for me and I was very satisfied with their service. I left their business knowing that only the repairs that were needed were performed. Ive had bad experiences in the past with mechanics trying to overcharge and make unnecessary repairs. This place does not do that. I highly recommend them for your car repair/maintenance needs!

Service was incredible we brought in our new alternator to be replaced they verified that was indeed the problem, switched it out in less than 30 min and had is back on road in 45 min. No hidden fees, great staff.. Couldnt be happier! Thank you Alamo City Garage.

Went to get struts repaired and front brakes, they finished quicker than expected due to it being my son’s birthday. I still was hearing a noise and Lino told me to bring it back and we found it it was my motor mount that needed replacing. Lino took it off to show me and yes it was shot lol. No cushion whatsoever! He replaced it with a new one and my lil Honda is riding so smooth to be 15 yrs old! I’m SOOOO HAPPY that I found them! Give them your business and they will take care you and your vehicle trust me! As long as I’m in San Antonio they got me.

This review is not about the mechanics that work there. It is about the woman who does there office work and appointments. I had requested a Saturday appointment to do over a $1000 worth of work. They made the appointment for me only to have this woman call me on Friday evening and left me a message that they could not do my work on Saturday because her employee wanted to take off. Then she left me a phone number to call her back on that is not there normal work number. I could not make out the number, because I couldnt understand her. I was sick that day and went home to bed. The next morning I called there business number and got no one. I left a message letting them know how disappointed I was. Why would they call me right at closing time on Friday knowing I wouldnt be able to get hold of them before closing?? She should have called me much earlier in the day if she was going to cancel my appointment. It was over $1000 worth of work!!! I no longer use this mechanic because of her.

SCAM ARTISTS, ALAMO CITY GARAGE HAS FREE ESTIMATES CURRENTLY BUT WILL RIP YOU OFF IN REPAIR. WHY??? BECAUSE I TOOK THEM MY SQUEEKY SERPENTINE BELT. I KNEW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT BECAUSE I CAUSE IT TO MAKE NOISE, I KNOW WHAT I DID TO IT. ALAMO CITY GARAGE INCLUDED THE FIX BUT ALSO ADDITIONAL BOGUS REPAIRS TO RAISE MY BILL. I TOLD THEM NO AND WALKED AWAY.
