From start to finish I was informed about the status of my repairs. The staff took my car in the night before my scheduled appointment and the repairs were completed on time. From Rolf to his staff, I couldn’t be more satisfied with their attention to detail and professionalism. Came in with a 1:30 appointment was out by like 2. Not a long wait at all. Philip was very helpful letting me know I had an oil leak going on. Was here because of a Facebook ad I saw with a oil change special. It was a good deal, but the place was so neat inside and I loved the couches they had in the lobby, they where so comfortable. The bathroom is super clean. Will most likely come back here for my regular maintenance on my vehicle 🚗

Christian Brothers helped me out when my 2019 Tacoma sputtered out at the light in front of the shop. Although it was closing time, they moved my truck into the garage for the night and even stored my bike inside the office. The next morning they ran a diagnostic on the engine and it turned out to be the fuel pump which was in recall at the dealer. They kept me informed via email pics including the code errors as well as the recall info sheet all of which I provided to the dealer. This is a professional Top Notch shop. I will return and highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive. The service was extremely professional, the communication was easy and constant. They always made sure I knew the status of my car.The repairs were great and our car runs great now, and the way in which they gave us info on what was most dire in need of repair vs those things to watch out for in the near future was very helpful.They have a shuttle service too, which is so convenient. I took my car in to have it checked in preparation for an upcoming road trip. They checked the brakes, belts, hoses and tires. They didn’t charge anything for this service! All was good. I am very impressed with them and highly recommend them to anyone in need of service.

I always take my car here to get fixed but this last time WILL BE THE LAST TIME I TAKE IT THERE. My check engine light came on AGAIN after they had just fixed it on 06/25/21. I called on Thursday 08/05 that the check engine light came on again and they asked me if I could drop it off on Sunday night 08/08/21 so they can work on it Monday 08/09 morning. I had to call them around noon on Monday because I hadn’t hear from them, they still did not know anything. They called me back at 3:53 that they still could not find anything wrong and that the check engine light was not on. That if I could leave it overnight and that they will check it tomorrow morning Tuesday 08/10. They called me on Tuesday 8/10 at 1:53 that they still could not find anything wrong with it and that I could pick up my car. When I went to pick it up they just gave me my keys and said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it and that my car was parked in the back and I could walk back there to get it….which before they would always drive it up to the front…TERRIBLE SERVICE…. I have been taking my car here since around 2012……and they treat me like this…..CHRISTIAN (I DON’T THINK SO) Brothers….👎👎👎👎…..I picked up my car on Tuesday and the check engine light came on again on Thursday…. And they couldn’t find anything wrong with it….

Im in my 70s. I thought the term Honest Mechanic no longer exists. This business has restored my thinking. I took my car in because I felt a pull when I braked. My son tested it and didnt feel it. Recent oil change at a different mechanic said I needed an alignment. I took it in and they tested and checked brake pads. No trouble was found. They also didnt see alignment issues. I now have a new honest mechanic!

Herman was very professional and did his best to try to get my car approved. CarShield found a way not to pay. CarShield stalled for 3 days. They did not approve the repair,I was not charged for the diagnostic check since no repair was performed.I recommend this place. We keep our cars forever. We have a Toyota Tundra and RAV4 with each of them with close to 300,000 miles on them. We took each of them in to have general maintenance, A/C, timing belt, catalytic converters etc. (the type of repairs that NEED to be done by professionals). It wasn’t cheap, but I can tell you it was done RIGHT. Randy and Philip gave us a complete list of all things that they knew an older car would need, and we chose what we wanted them to do. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Thanks to the mechanics that make the magic happen! I generally do not recommend service to anyone, but Christian Brothers definitely deserves recommending, and your automobile deserves the best.

Blew a power steering hose on my ‘68 Mustang and took it to CBA after hearing positive things from neighbors. My cars transfer casing for my all wheel drive completely cracked in half causing damage to my transmission. The mechanic at Christian Brothers called my warranty company (car shield) to explain what happened with my car. They would only agree to cover the transfer casing and not the transmission. They wanted to give me a used part and not a new one. My mechanic called me to give me the bad news because they were on the phone with car shield for an hour, but they would not budge. I was offered to either take the used part or purchase a new one. I opted for the new one which caused me a little extra. Christian Brothers had a mechanic who thought he could fix my transmission so that I would be able to keep my car and continue working. They kept calling to check on me and to see just how they could help me. Well, Im happy to say they fixed my car completely and suggested a better warranty company for my car. I have never had a company who treated me like Christian Brothers. If you want quality work from a quality company, Christian Brothers is your best choice. I will forever give them my business. They care about their customers!

Service was prompt with great communication from staff. Eric and Ralph really helped to explain what was going on and to assist with navigating my warranty claim through the CarMax process.

While the work performed on my vehicle was done as stated, the lack of communication and sarcastic, condescending tone by the service advisor was repulsive. I scheduled my vehicle for an 8:30am time slot for an oil change but also to check the fuel injectors and brakes. At 10:49 when I had not heard anything I texted to see if there was any updates and was informed NOT YET STILL CHECKING VEHICLE. When I had still not heard anything over an hour later at 12:18pm I decided to call and was informed the mechanic was still looking at it and currently was out to lunch but that I would be texted and called with his findings upon returning from lunch. I decided to lay down for a nap and was upset at 2:31pm that I had still not heard ANYTHING. Finding this lack of communication absolutely unacceptable, I decided to call for the second time. I remained professional but firm, siting that I had an 8:30 appt time and had not been informed regarding the findings from my vehicles inspection. I was immediately interrupted by the advisor who became extremely defensive (instead of apologetic) explaining all the cars go in a line regardless of appointment time. They were still working on the previous days vehicles in the morning and were currently working on a Ford Focus installing a door handle and that my car had yet to even be looked at! I thanked him for informing me of the process but was extremely irritated by this information (whats the point of even having an appointment?!). My vehicle ended up being finished prior to the close of business but when I picked it up the same service advisor poked fun of the fact I had called and was all worked up continuing to joke that now I could finally relax - seriously unprofessional and disrespect in a customer service industry. Furthermore when I got into my vehicle it smelled like a cross between the odor of flatulence and a dead body. My husband had to wipe the drivers seat down with cleaner and Fabreeze the entire vehicle. Will definitely NOT be returning to this franchise.

My son needed some work on his older car. They exceeded our expectations with great, timely work. They didn’t suggestions things we weren’t there for on that day. They had a text message to inform us of the progress during the day. After discussing the findings, we made a decision to do a few other things like an oil change and the state inspection. All work was complete and a call was made telling us our car was ready. After our payment transaction, we had a wonderful conversation with one of the workers. He was positive and kind. When CB replaced a serpentine belt that malfunctioned and destroyed my engine, instead of having me wait for the details to be worked out with the parts supplier on the defective belt, at great expense Mr. Blaettner of Christian Brothers replaced my engine first-so as to get me back on the road ASAP. Quickly diagnosed problem. Beware, you will be Charged a $57 diagnosis fee that is not waived even if the service is preformed. Other shops waive the fee. In addition they checked other fluids, etc and recommended $1700 maintenance work, when that was not requested. After additional discussions, they explained that due to a computer migration, some of the previous completed was not being shown on my history. Had brakes and other work Performed in the past years.

Chose this shop after reading a lot of positive reviews. Guys were professional. They did a great job. Had a problem with the seal on the rear differential on my truck that was causing issues (noise, reduced MPG, break wear). They found the problem and quoted me what they thought and then was surprised to find out the final cost was LESS than the estimate. will use again when the need arises and would recommend.

I needed an inspection done for the blue tx sticker. i called ahead to see if they did it, the price, and if i needed an appointment to get it done. they were very nice on the phone and it was a whole $7!! the inspection took no more than 20 minutes and they sent me on my way 😊

Christian Brothers Hill Country Village lost my faith in their ability to provide professional work or care about the customer. I had Christian Brother do a state inspection, rotate my tires and front end alignment. The alignment was off in a week. Took it back and asked they fix what I paid for alignment. Mechanic tells me I’ve got tire warp and the alignment will always be off until I change all four tires.WHY didn’t Christian Brother tell me I had tire warp when they had there hands on my tires at least 2 times for the State Inspection (passed) and rotating tires. They still charged me for the alignment cost and never told me I had tire warp until I brought my vehicle back the 2nd time.The mechanic had attitude towards me the customer because I wanted a second option. As the mechanic said to me, “you know more than me anyway”. He even hung the phone up on me. Only someone insecure would have attitude like this towards a customer. Makes me wonder what else he overlooked.

Wanted to charge me $750 to repair a driver power window and interior door handle. But Cornerstone Automotive said it was $350 less. Also due to courtesy check, I had a car that had sludge in the engine and it needed to be replaced for $6500. I went in for a window regulator and door handle and was told I needed $7250 in repairs. After talking with Cornerstone, I knew I was being scammed and paid my diagnostic fee of $62 and left. Will be dropping my car off at Cornerstone Auto on Culebra and 1604 W on Monday morning. Should have gone back there since they are amazing unlike Christian Bros.

I for the most part only drive a company owned vehicle, as such Im never paying for the maintenance on my vehicles, so I cant speak to value in terms of price. What I can say, Im never minimalized despite bringing my vehicle in at the last minute, which happens as an on call tech, they almost always complete any repairs well within the time line I get up front, and the entire shop is always clean and orderly (which tells me they are also very organized). These may not hit all the markers for a mechanic for everyone, but for me ultimately I can tell that they know what they are doing, and that above all else is whats important.

Update to yesterdays rating: When we fall short of an expectation the most important outcome is how we handled it once we are aware of the opportunity and I would like to acknowledge that the Owner of this location followed up with me the following day ....he did several things...he listened, acknowledged that they fell short and asked for the opportunity to make it right. In other words he met my expectations of Customer Service today and so the update in my rating was warranted.6/29/20 - I had an appointment for 8:30 oil change and left at 9:30...car had not been touched...when I said I was leaving they told me I was going to be the next car in the bay...but I thought that was why you scheduled appointments...interesting. If nothing else very disappointed in the level of customer service

I had my Ford Taurus 1998 towed to Christian Brothers after a friend recommended them to me. After waiting several days they quoted that the repair would be 906$ since the fuel pump stopped working. I hesitantly accepted the repair cost, but then did further research and called the manager back right away asking him to break down the costs for me. He told me the fuel pump part was from Delphi which typically cost 350$. Strange, online the part cost 150$ which I pointed out. He proceeded to ignore that comment explaining part of the cost of 100$ was from warranty. However they are still up charging 150-200$. The labor cost typically ranges 400$ for this job with diagnostics which I agree with. I did not appreciate that he could not work on a better price with me especially since it seems like they are taking advantage of me for the fuel pump price. It made me uncomfortable when the manager told me another solution would be to charge me $500 for the service, and not fix my car. At this point I felt pressured to accept the cost at 900$. Was very dissatisfied with their ability to resolve customer complaints. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to return in the future, or recommend Christian Brothers to others.

I trust this place. They diagnose the problem and tell you what is needed to fix it. They dont try to add a bunch of extras unless they see a safety issue.

I inquired about the special they were advertising and received a quick response. I was able to make an appointment and had my oilchange completed within an hour and a half. I’m new to the San Antonio area. Im originally from Chicago and have always had the oil changed in Chicago. So needless to say that I was a bit skeptical in having the oil changed over in another state. I contacted AAA and was provided with a list of stations that are AAA accredited in my area. I called a few places and was given a bit of a run around. I just need a oil change please, synthetic blend, would you know how much that will be? I’m sorry, there is no one available to answer that question, leave us your name and number and someone will call you back. Btw, still waiting for that call 😐So I decided I would call Christian Bro’s. And I have to say that they excel in top notch service. I spoke with Brian. He was very kind and polite. I asked for the pricing for a synthetic blend oil change. He quoted the price. The price is the What I usually pay in Chicago. So I went ahead and scheduled the visit. Did I mentioned that he was courteous? And professional? I also received a reminder text the day before my visit 😊The day of my visit I was welcomed with a warm smile and a nice hello. I checked in my vehicle. The gentleman behind the counter recommended a full synthetic oil change. Which of course, I assume would be pricer. I decided to go ahead and get the regular blend because that is what I usually get. Just to be sure, I called over to the AAA’s in Chicago and asked for the type of oil change they normally do. They confirmed synthetic. The gentleman didn’t seem to agree with my decision to go with what I know. Then Brian stepped in and explained the difference between the two and why he recommend the full blend versus the regular synthetic. And since I will be doing a lot of driving down here in Texas, i felt it would be a benefit to my vehicle, so I agreed. I have used Hill Country Village Christian Brothers Automotive for lots of services over the last 5 years. They have done transmission services, oil changes, a/c repairs and many other services. When I have shopped around for price I find them only slightly more expensive over other shops, however I have had enough bad experiences to learn that I will pay the price to have it done right and honestly. I come from a family of mechanics so I am able to double check what theyre recommending, my family always says it sounds like I have good people that I am working with. Also they never make me feel like a dumb girl! Thank you CBA for your service & professionalism.

Came in for an oil change, tune-up, and asked them to check the brakes since my brakes were already making a grinding noise. Christian Bros sends me an inspection report saying my brakes are just fine. No recommendations at this time. But they made sure to charge me for a brake flush. They let me drive off the lot on Wednesday and then drive to Fort Worth for Thanksgiving on Thursday. I notice my brakes are still making a grinding noise, despite the engine flush. I take my car in to Goodyear in Fort Worth on Saturday, and they say my rear brake discs and rotors clearly need to be replaced. Metal on metal. When I confronted the Christian bros managers about this Monday morning they told me that my brakes must have magically gone bad from when I left their lot on Wednesday to when I got a second opinion on Saturday. And then told me theres nothing we can do.So Id like to personally thank the Christian Crooks for letting me drive from San Antonio to Fort Worth on bad brakes. I didnt know endangering your customers lives was the Christian thing to do. Next time Ill go to Goodyear. Cant wait to see what Rolf has to say about this.

Had air conditioning checked and had a leak. CB replaced two hoses, pulled a vacuum, and recharged the system. Car cools ice cold.

They were honest, clear and forthright, and the cost was less than I was expecting. I came here to get a second opinion on wheel alignment and some unusual wear on my tires. They did an independent review and clearly explained why the recommended by the other place wasn’t necessary and didn’t even make sense. They saved me hundreds of dollars, got it done super quickly and the cost for the alignment adjustment was less than anywhere else I found (only $79).The other place (a supposedly reputable place I visited out of state on a roadtrip) came back with a long list of significant work that needed to be done to align it properly. After CBs independent review and recommendation I had them review the estimate from the other place and they walked me through why it didn’t even make much sense. I’ll be going back here in the future

I highly recommend this automotive repair place. They have the best customer service for an automotive place I have ever been too! They updated me about the status of my car and told me everything that needed to be fixed and there weren’t any hidden fees. I will be definitely going back for my auto needs!

Great, friendly service, quick and efficient, they dont push you or ask you to get other services done you didnt go in for, they offered me a bottle of water, the manager/owner talked to me while I was waiting with friendly conversation, they explain the work they did before you pay..and I like that, and the lobby or waiting area is very nice, comfy, and clean with couches to sit on while you wait. Affordable pricing on their services, and they went out of their way that afternoon to get a part for me, and I really appreciate that. This was my first visit, I was happy and pleased, and I will be back again when I need something fixed on my car, or an Inspection done.

Really great experiences at Christian Brothers! I went there 3 years ago for a car inspection and had such a good experience that when my car needed work a few days ago, it was the only place I even considered going. Everything went great, they fixed my AC (I was worried about the cost being super high but it wasnt), changed my breaks, and did a full inspection. I mostly dealt with Aaron and he was so great - friendly, knowledgeable, communicative.And heres the best part - they saved me a ton of money. I went to Big O Tires to get an oil change a few months ago and they were having a deal to get a full car inspection to see if any work needed to be done. So BOT gave me a quote of $1,459.99 to get everything serviced on my car. I didnt get the work done.Well, my total bill at Christian Brothers was $395.15. Im not the kind of person that knows ANYTHING about cars so I really wouldnt have known better what parts and labor and everything should cost. Im not saying Big O Tires was trying to take advantage of me buuuuut I meeeaaan... thats a pretty big difference in price.I obviously couldnt be happier!

I left Vehicle Thursday for the weekend they didn’t even touch it I called and complained they said I can take it somewhere else I went ahead and picked up the keys and when I told them that their customer service is terrible there ear hurts so much they asked me to leave or they will kick me out and another man started screaming and I have everything on video

Friendly and honest! First time here and they made me feel very comfortable. Didn’t have to worry about getting ripped off and they didn’t pull off the “you should also get this done and that done” move, that a lot of places do. Would definitely come back for future repairs.

Will only take my car to this auto shop from now on. Very honest and dependable. They do not try to fix things that are not broken. Very courteous and keep you informed constantly while they are working on your car. Very reasonable compared to taking your car to a dealership to be repaired.

I took my car here for a second opinion after the BMW dealership told me that it needed over $1,000 of work done. Turns out it didn’t need anything done and CBA was able to save me that money. They’re now the only place that I’ll take my car. Always professional, timely, and the staff is super friendly and helpful!

We took our van into Christian Brothers for new tires and alignment. We were very pleased with their service. It was well done and in a timely manner. Their waiting room is clean and comfortable. The men setting up the service were polite and gave us the estimate that was right on the mark. We will definitely be returning in the future for other services.

Me again.. WIfes car had a airbag light pop on while driving. I scanned the PCM and we had a code B1346 indicating the driver airbag resistance was too high. Called and spoke with Brian and he asked me to bring it in. I brought it in at 10:00 a.m or so and he called me by 4:30 to tell me the car was fixed and ready to go.Picked up the next day and the airbag light was off!Kudos to this group. WIll be bringing my car in for an oil change here shortly.

Mechanics are very professional, quick, and courteous. Comfortable waiting area with coffee and water. Office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to help us. We take both our car and truck there for repairs. Prices are fair and reasonable.
