This is the best shop in SA. Staff is always super generous and transparent. They appreciate guest re visits and offer advice on upcoming things to look out for. They dont do tires/brakes but they are fast, furious, and always go above and beyond for car repairs. Customer for life

I was recommended by a friend. I coordinated with Tim and it all worked out well. They didnt try to push me into expensive repairs that I didnt need and actually advised me on some things they say that I could do myself. I will probably be back for any repairs outside my abilities.

Friendly knowledgeable staff but premium prices on ANYTHING they do. If you have the cash and want it done by experts then go for it but if not best go someplace else.

Great service and great stay. Called to get my husbands truck running good for a trip. Person on the phone said bring it in to check it out. Husband had a list of concerns as its an older truck. The guys looked at it and said truck was great charged us for labor and a few minor fixes. This makes me feel good to know that they are honest hard workers.

Great auto repair shop! Gabe and Tim were fantastic to work with, and even when there was a hiccup with one of the repairs, Busted Knuckle did what was in my best interest and not theirs. They took care of the hiccup and my 20 year old Jeep has been running great since! Highly recommend!

Absolutely phenomenal service and honest pricing, finding a good mechanic is always stressful, especially when moving to an area where you dont know anybody. I was recommended to them by someone at Discount Tire nearby. While waiting for my car to be fixed as it was just a quick job, I witnessed a multitude of their clients come in and it was like they were all family, everyone was happy with the prices, work being done and the staff at the counter. Overall very satisfied and was left with a great impression. If I need work done that is outside my vehicles warrenty(my warrenty unfortunatelyis specific to dealerships of my vehicles manufacturer), I will definitely be coming back.

These guys are amazing!!!!! I had been using Kens Goodyear on Austin Hwy because it is close to my house but they are pretty shady guys (NEVER use them if you like your money)... so I googled mechanics and came across The Busted Knuckle. After reading all of their reviews I decided to take my car to them. They fixed the brakes, replaced the shocks and recommended that I replace my catalytic converter at some point in the future. All at a reasonable price. So - yesterday I walked out of the grocery store and saw a puddle of anti-freeze under my drivers side front tire - fearing the worst I took it across the street to the Goodyear - they told me my radiator was cracked and it would cost me around 400-500 dollars. I didnt believe them so I said I would think about it - I called Gabe - he said if it actually was the radiator that they could do it for around 300. Today I took my car to Gabe and guess what??? The radiator was fine - it was a hose with a leak. They replaced the hose and had me back on the road in no time - and saved me a lot of money in the process. Trust me - you can trust these guys!! Best mechanics in San Antonio as far as Im concerned!!!

I came here when discount tire referred me to get an alignment done. This was the first time being here. For the longest time, Ive been looking for a great auto shop to take my SUV to, (being a 10 year old vehicle with over 150,000 miles on it) and gives reasonable estimates. These guys not only thoroughly checked everything, they actually explain and showed the damaged part that was replaced. For a person that has slim to none knowledge about cars, they took their time with me. I am very impressed with them and love them now. I finally found my auto shop!! My SUV drives now like when I first bought it!!!! I havent felt this way in such a long time!! (10 years!!!!!!) Told my family how happy I am and now my dad will be taking his SUV to them!! You wont regret taking your vehicle to them!!

I had problems with my brake pads, rotors and headlight. I dropped off my Caliber with the parts and they had it fixed within the day for a very reasonable price. Worked with this place for my Pathfinder after a friend recommended it to me. Gabe works up front and was professional and fast. Unfortunately I had some significant expenses on my car, but after checking with two friends who are mechanics, it was a really fair price he gave me. Called me to let me know when it was available.I pick up the car the next week and Gabe has had it washed, tightened the steering wheel, and fixed a few other small iotas free of charge. He showed me the bill, and even lowered it a bit on the basis of wanting to take care of us.I had another incident a few days later and Gabe helped me out again.Highly recommend this place, it’s local, friendly, and trustworthy.

I read the reviews and decided to check this place out. First off dont let the appearance of the place fool you these guys are good mechanics. I needed a new wheel bearing and hub assembly for my suv and the dealership was trying rob the hell out of me so I came here and Gabe got the part I wanted and finished the job in no time. I recommend this place if your in need of a mechanic.

I have taken my vehicle several times to the Busted Knuckle, they have always been prompt to service and help any way they can. They are honest people as I have known these guys for years. My father was a mechanic for years and I advised him if he ever needed anything to make sure to call these guys, they are fair in price and again, honest. Found this place while looking around the internet for a good auto repair shop. I liked what the reviewers were saying about this place. I was mainly looking for honest and good. This was both, I went in to have my bearings replaced, was told the bearings were fine and it was another problem. They could have easily told me the bearings were bad and also the other problem. I would have been none the wiser. I rarely good to auto repair shops as all my experiences have been bad. I am needing to have my car serviced again and will definitely be going back here again. Honest people are few and far between, especially when dealing when a company. The employees at The Busted Knuckle, however, are one of the few honest ones. My truck began giving me issues a couple weeks back, so I googled some mechanics close by, and decided on The Busted Knuckled, due to all the great reviews. I explained to Gabe the issues that I was having, and anticipated paying quite a bit of money. The next day Gabe calls me up, saying I just needed some grease! Although, it might not seem like a big deal to some, but he could have easily said it was the suspension, axle, or any other costly repair, just to make some money. My grand total was $30, which included him finding the source of the noise my truck was making, and tightening down those bolts, which he didnt charge me for. Overall, The Busted Knuckle is a gem, and I highly recommend it to all!

Even after I misdiagnosed my own issue, they called me up to let me know it was another part that needed to be replaced and it would be saving me money. As an out of towner reviews are essential when something goes wrong. I Googled (the name definitely caught my attention...All good mechanics & their families know how that happens) and read the reviews. I called and talked to Gabe and he told me to bring in my truck that day. I did they checked it out for FREE and told me that while the noise could be annoying it wasnt affecting the performance. Tim talked to me straight forward about what could be done, how much it would cost, and how long my truck would work without the work being done.After a week the noises were more than I could bare & called Gabe again. He got my truck right in the shop and the parts were there within the hour. He estimated the labor would take approximately 5 hours and he was right on the money.The price was more than reasonable. Weve had experiences with shops all over the country and by far is The Busted Knuckle the best priced, best timely manor, and just all around good guys.I intend to only use this place while Im in town.

Our family (incl my dad & brother) have taken all our cars to them since 2010. Gabe and Tim are super nice. They never tell you to replace something if its absolutely not necessary. And their prices are always fair, he gives you a break when he can. I am telling you all this just after completing two major services on both our cars and having spent close to 1.5-2k (including timing belt, water pump, drive belt, struts, all fluid changes between two cars)We trust them completely. I received a recommendation from a mechanic in San Marcos, he raves about this shop and I now know why.... initially i went to Mercedes Benz for a Check engine light and after a $5400 Invoice I thought Mercedes is crazy. Aamco tried to charge me twice what these guys did. I had to hit the road for a 10 hour drive and these guys fixed my Ac in 4 hours for me. Quick and honest, would go again.

My first experience was over a year ago when my car stop a light ahead. Auto zone preferred them to me (i was just worried about getting my car fix so i trusted their recommendation). I call them the send a tow truck i paid 60 yes 60 for the man to take me threw one light in turn down a street. I didnt complain,so than i told them what was going on with the car they automatically assume it was my starter theyprofessionals right to i went ahead in brought the part come to find out it wasnt my starter the open up the brand new one in damage it,when i went to autozone the man wouldnt give my money back because it was a use product i was likenaw it cant be they said they didnt use it long story short they did in lied i had to raise hell to get my money back from autozone in the problem was simple that they charge an arm in leg forSecond experienceI came back after much hesitation because of the reviews on herein fb im thinkin hey ima give them another chance others had good compliments to say about them... Anyway my car was shaking the man told me actually the owner that it may be this or that in to comeback when it shake again ok fine. Couple days later It was barely 4 when i call to inform him i am coming to get my car look it you im the one who car is shaking off/on this man going tell me its to late they are about to close really at 4? How unprofessional you missing out on money!! let me say this the people who on their Facebook in here are people who are probably close to them so thats why the give them good reviews this was the reason i went the 1st in 2rd time because of people reviews they probably do a good job with others but this is my experience i will never go back to them again.

Got told at the dealership where I got my car that it was going to take a week to see why my car was squealing and couldnt have my car gone a whole week, so I was recommended to this place and they found the problem and fixed it all within a day! 10/10 would come back !!
