I discovered them through a neighbor of mine years ago while living in San Antonio. Even though I moved out of town, there are some things worth making the drive for. Kastis Automotive is one of those things. Heck, I even drive in for simple things like oil changes! I never have to worry about the work they did and their prices are very fair. Its so hard to find a business these days where you actually feel good about doing business with them, and that they actually appreciate you. Highly recommend Kastis Automotive!

I’ve never written a review before until now! Kastis Automotive was literally the best decision when choosing a mechanic to work on my Chrysler 300 when her check engine light came on. I was so freaked out about it but they took care of me from beginning to end! They were literally the most kind and honest people, they communicated with me thoroughly while my car was in the shop, even showing me before and after pictures of the work they had done when I went to get her and they did it in such a surprisingly quick amount of time. 10/10 will be recommending to anyone who needs honest reliable work!

Weve used this place many times, and had very good service in the past, but today was our last visit. We started out well, bringing our vehicle in bright and early, and explained the problem. The individual who accepted the vehicle said, Give us a couple hours, and well call you to discuss what we find. Instead, no contact and when we called hours later, we received arguments instead of information.Apparently, wed never dealt directly with the owner before, because he is NOT an asset to his own business. Rude and argumentative, he spent 10 minutes contradicting the information that had been given to us by his employees, which basically means his business engaged in deceptive practices, misleading us with when they might get to our vehicle.Finally, getting increasingly frustrated, and getting no further information, we resolved to retrieve our vehicle, and take it somewhere else. Unfortunately, wed already wasted most of the day while it sat there, untouched. When we got there to pick up the vehicle, the owner was even more argumentative, and basically told us to take our business elsewhere...which, even though wed already planned to do so, cemented in our mind that not only was the owner unhinged, but that he really didnt like having customers.The sad part is that we-re not unreasonable people, and the whole incident and loss of a long-time business relationship could have been avoided, if someone had just called and advised us when they said they would, let us know theyd gotten backed up, and that they still needed some extra time.And then, simply apologized, instead of arguing.So, weve found a new mechanic. Never again, this place.

I have been here several times. Inspections, fixed my air conditioning, and an alignment. I will continue to go here for the extreme professionalism, kindness, and honesty. They won’t try to shake you down! Kastis will communicate and give you options! They even taught me a thing or 2. Like to change my air condition filter. I have built a relationship with this crew. Great people!

I have a fair amount of mechanic knowledge and I choose to work on my vehicle myself whenever possible. However, every now and again there are some jobs I just cant tackle and some symptoms I just dont know how to diagnose. When those situations happen, I go to Kastis.Rob was able to diagnose the problem with my truck without issue! It took me weeks to figure out what (I thought) was wrong with my truck but a day after leaving it with Kastis, Rob was able to diagnose the issue and he even found a few other things that needed attention as well.What I appreciated most about Kastis is that they told me what NEEDED to be fixed, but also highlighted a few other problems with my truck that could wait until I was financially ready to fix them. Ive had many experiences with auto shops trying to pull one over on me and convince me to pay for unnecessary repairs. Not Kastis. They were quick, reliable and most importantly, they were honest.Next time my truck needs repairs, I will hands down go to these guys again and I honestly recommend you do the same. They know their stuff and they wont screw you around.Thanks again guys!

Rolled in with an overheated truck before work, they gave me an estimate for the parts I needed over the phone within an hour, ended up charging waaay less on the labor then I was expecting (they really could have screwed me ha), and had everything finished up by around 3:30. I feel like I didnt give you guys a proper review with just the 5 stars so here goes. Kastis Automotive is a staple in the local community. Ive heard many stories of people driving from pretty far out of town just to come see these guys for their automotive needs. I highly recommend them and they will continue to be my go to for advice on my vehicle and any automotive repairs that may come up in the future. Been going to them for years and in my experience they are very honest and up front about the costs and will even recommend to wait on certain things if they dont need to be done right this minute.

I am very pleased with my experience here.I needed new shocks on my vehicle and Kastis was able to take me in the same day I called. They would have been able to take me earlier in the day, but they were closing the shop to all go eat lunch at Salsalitos. Upon arrival, they took my car into the shop immediately despite having a lot of vehicles on the lot. The mechanic checked my shocks and brought me over to show me that the shocks indeed needed replacing. I was quoted a much lower price than I expected and was told it would be done in 2 hours. I expected them to keep my vehicle for days. They called me after about 40 minutes to tell me it was already done, which meant the final price was lower than the quoted price. They could have just kept my vehicle and called me after the quoted 2 hours so they could receive a larger paycheck, but the mechanic valued honesty more than money. Before I left, the mechanic showed me my old shocks and even gave me some education about shocks.I cannot believe I finally found a mechanic I trust. They have integrity and value honesty and hard work. The person in charge obviously promotes an atmosphere which keeps the mechanics happy enough to care about the quality of their work. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.

They said my car would be ready at 1:30 and it was ready at 1:15. Nice staff, fair prices and a well established reputation for doing quality work at fair prices.

Kastis Automotive is a rare exception today. Mike is honest, fair, reliable and his shop goes above and beyond to repair and maintain your vehicle AND earn your repeat business. I know people come all the way from Houston to use his services. Actually, Mikes just the kind of guy you wouldnt mind having for a brother-in-law either.

Place came recommended by a coworker who has been using Kastis for years. Ive taken 2 vehicles in three weeks to them, dropped them off overnight and had excellent service. Been very pleased with the quick diagnosis, call back, explanations, and finally the quality of the work.

They seem fair and do a great job. My power steering went out and as it turns out it was my water pump. They repaired it with a warranty and it ended up being much cheaper than expected.

Ive been coming here for a few years now. They always do great work on my truck. Thats not what gets them 5 stars tho. I was out of town and my girlfriend calls me crying. She spent three hours going from chain joint to chain joint being refused or outright insulted, and all she needed was state inspection. I told her to run over to Kastis as I trusted them. She calls me an hour later and shes right as rain again. She told me they immediately saw her and even remembered who I was, someone who comes in maybe once or twice a year. They quite literally saved the day and I can say they won both mine and my girlfriends business that day for all they did and the character they showed. Thanks yall!
