I’ve brought my car here a few times but I’m gonna take my business elsewhere—David, the guy behind the counter who I assume is the owner of the place, is a throughly unpleasant individual to deal with. Always short with you always looks irritated at something, never makes eye contact and overall just has a salty demeanor.I took my car here one time for a repair (forgive me I can’t remember what it was for) paid the guy and drove off. The next day the problem persisted. I called West Car up and Mr. Personality answers. I tell him that the problem and he gets all defensive “Well, we do good work here!”—alright, fella never said you DIDN’T. I brought my car back and I only got charged for labor…cool, but it would’ve been cooler if they fixed the problem the first time and I didn’t have to pay twice.The ONLY reason I’m not giving them ONE star is the mechanic Jose is cool and very friendly. I find him to be an honest mechanic which is rareSo if you’re willing to deal with a prickly individual, hey, that’s your bag. Personally, I’m gonna take my car to a place where I don’t have to speak to a person who acts like someone spit in his cornflakes.

Only had an oil change that was done in a timely manner helpful shop and in the neighborhood which is great close by. David was pretty helpful thank you.

Good Quality Work

It just occurred to me as I was looking up the phone number, that I did not leave a review on my 2010 Nissan Rogues previous repair job; my dealership told me what needed to be done; I took it to West at my sissys glowing referral, and I was not disappointed. Not only did they do it for less than what the dealership wanted for the same work, BUT they were fast, courteous and even took the time to explain (and show me the old part!) what had happened. I highly recommend West Car; they are my go-to place.

Went in for a bushing press on both control arms for the front, went to 3 different shops before I saw west car complete auto repair and were the only ones who could help me since they were completely rubber bushing, had a very good experience and they never gave up pushing bushings after two tore and got me replacements 5 stars thank you very much and also very good pricing

I took my minivan in for an oil change. The lady behind the counter told me they wont work on my car cause I smoke ( ciggerates) in my car. Claimed her nephew is allergic. They had worked on my van before and there was never a problem.

Both of them are extremely helpful, kind and always looking out for the customer. The care!! And that means so much to me and when I choose a shop to bring my car. I’ve been going here for years since a buddy of mine used to work here. I’ve referred a lot of my family, friends, and even have taken my company vehicles here. Literally have spent tens of thousands of dollars here but I won’t ever spend another penny here. The last 3 experiences have been horrible. U towed my car there to check what was wrong and 2 day later I called to see what the diagnosis was and they told me it was fixed and would be $480. They never gave me a quote or asked for my approval... Then a couple months ago I took my F150 in to get the Ac checked and they said it was a high pressure hose and would be $325 or so to fix. I approved the repair and when I arrived to pick my truck up they said it was the evaporator core leaking but they had already done the hose thinking it was that so I had to pay $325 and drove away with a broken Ac still. Then just now I took my yaris in for an oil change and the guy calls me and says he stripped my pan with bolt and I would have to pay for a new oil pan and labor to install or I can tow my car out of there with no oil. This is ridiculous but I guess I’m the idiot for continuing to trust and give my business to a company like this. Never again.

Was driving dwn I10, when my truck started making a loud hissing sound, I exited on West Ave and saw this place . I pulled in and the manager came out checked my truck and diagnosed the issue. Ordered parts and fixed the truck in an hour. Reasonably priced too!

There is no other place that you can trust in San Antonio Texas or anywhere outside of San Antonio then West Car Auto Shop!!! Best place to go to get an oil change, motor swap, transmission swaps, fluid exchange, etc... The guys here are honest & loyal w/customers! I cannot stress how great this Auto repair shop is!!

Took my car in and Jeff advised me that the thermostat housing unit needed to be replaced. He also told me that it should be covered under warranty, (my warranty expired in Oct.2017), so I was a bit concerned. Turns out Jeff knew exactly what he was talking about and not only had he given me the dealership repair phone number to simplify things but he also saved me at least half a grand. He exceeded my expectations so much that Ive taken my car there for other things even though I live in Kerrville. Well worth the drive every time.

The owner Jeff yelled at me and accused me of calling him a liar, just because I thought they did state inspections and that they would do my inspection. He also didn’t address one of the issues that I had asked about, saying my “check engine light wasn’t on” so there must not be an issue, when my car won’t even start sometimes and my check engine light was definitely on. I would not recommend going there, I think the owner has weird anger issues.

Just stopped by West Car Auto during freezing rain because my tires needed air. The guys there immediately told me to pull around the back and filled each tire in the rain at no charge. Good guys.

My 1st and last time using West Complete Auto. Jeff recommended his tow- truck service and after quoting a set price, he added a $15 service fee to my invoice. When I asked his about the added fee, he became irate and very loud and wouldn’t allow me to speak. My son drove off and when got to work in the vehicle we had just picked up, he called and told me the row of quarters was missing from his glove box. While both issues are minimal cost impacts, they both are example of lack of character. I called Jeff about the missing quarters and he stated, there is no way the “Owner’s Nephew” would take anything. As if it mattered that the mechanic is related to the owner. What happened to good honest business owners? He acted like he was doing me a favor and I should be grateful. Disgusting.

Went here for a problem with my headlight that was going to cost me $1,200 through the dealership. They gave me good advice and they helped me fix it, for an hour and a half worth of labor. The owner Jose & the service advisor Jeff seem like real good people.

Do Not take your car here. They cant do any actual mechanical work and will charge you $150-$200 just to look at it!! I brought it to shop to have it fixed not diagnosed supposely and then he cant even do the work. Lame. He calls me and says it is ready. I get there and it is in worst condtion all apart and sparking up . Not even safe and they just left it like that. I get thete and im thinking due to our conversation that my bronco is ready and my ac working.. well guess what... it was all apart and they didnt do anything but take it apart and leave it u safe fire hazard. Do not go here unless u like to throw your mney in the trash.

Yesssssssss. Okay yall hear me out. I paid $400 at Midas two years ago to fix my clockspring. My airbag light came on not too long ago and I took it here because a friend recommended the place and Jose said hed fix the clockspring for $60. Bruh.

The owner of this shop is Jose, and he is also the main vehicle technician and does Excellent work. I had a problem with my Nissan XTerra the air conditioner had a leak and replaced the hose and my car runs better now even when its 100 degrees, I paid $129.00 He is a TRUSTWORTHY mechanic, you can depend on him and he wont poke your eye out. They recently hired a new office manager, but Jose is still there and is the owner, if you have questions he is right there to answer them. If you a woman who is scared that a mechanic will charge you more because you are a woman, dont be, he will explain in detail what is required and if you dont have the money he will still guaranteed the price for when you return the next time.I recently bought a new car, but still go there foroil changes. I highly recommend West Car Complete Auto Repair.

They gave me an estimate of $700 for a fairly major engine repair. When I went to pick up the car they told me it was only $496 because it wasnt as serious and needed less work than they first thought. What shop does that? They couldve charged me $700 and I wouldnt have known the difference. This isnt the first work theyve done for me and I will return when I need work on my car in the future.
