This place always provides great service. Ive always worked with Thomas. They are friendly and professional, and provide quick service and good pricing.

I brought my truck in for a state inspection and the technician failed it for a cracked tail light. The crack is actually in a clear protective cover over the tail light and not the red lens itself. I tried to explain the difference and the fact that it had been like that for over 5 years and others recognized the difference. If the shop cannot properly complete a task as simple as a state inspection, I would not trust them to properly diagnose or repair anything else.

I just bought four new tires. Tested once to see if the wheels were pulling to either side and they pulled to the left. Made an appointment with Car-X and went in. Was there about 10 minutes and was told that the wheels were aligned and I didn’t need an alignment! They said the pulling to the left might have just been the road, so I should test the wheels on different roads to make sure it isn’t a tire defect. What an honest business! First time I went there. Will definitely go back!

I started using Car X for my service needs recently and are totally amazed by there professionalism and more importantly honesty. Over charged , and 2 extra days and a lost locking lug. I was quoted 1400.00 (breaks & rotors) after asking for the parts numbers we found one part was incorrect and it dropped 200 dollars I still thought 1200.00 was a bit much for a job that i see averaging 650-850 on the web. They applied another discount and brought it down to 900.00. They informed me the car would be ready in one day but that day they called and said the part did not come in so it would be ready tomorrow. It was still not ready. Finally picking it up 2 days later. I noticed my back spare was still up so It made me notice the space where the lock for the locking lug nut was empty. Went back in and they could not find it. Ill give them props here. they didnt give me a hard time and said just get it replaced and they would cover the 150.00 cost. They did. Thats the only thing that bumped this to a three star.

I did not give this review a 1 star simple because the service here is good. The 2 star review that I am giving is because I came last week between the days of the 27th-31 of august, prefer not to give a certain date or time so I am not pointed out the next time I do come for automotive services: I understand certain times can be hard or stressful but that doesn’t give any excuse to be unprofessional at the front counter. The older gentlemen at the front counter express himself with a couple words that you wouldn’t want to say in front of your mother or in front of your kids . It’s a good thing it was just myself at the time and not my family and kids.

AC went out in the middle of a 4 day road trip and was hot as all hell outside... Everyone was closed and this was the only place I could find. They were about to close and could have easily turned me away. I actually was almost certain they would because it was Saturday near closing time. Boy was I wrong. These guys were very understanding and provided my wife and I with first class customer service! Chad was great and took the time to give me a detailed explanation of what the problem was. A raise is in this guys near future I’m sure. We would have been in deep S*** if it wasn’t for these guys. I highly recommend them.

Did a quick job but definitely over priced a part that was refurbished. Tried to take my own part which was about 400 dollars difference they didn’t allow me to take my part in. I appreciate the quick service but way way over priced on parts. My husband was not impressed with how he was handled. But they will get the job done.

Wish I could give them more than five stars. I have had my older car in twice this year for separate issues; brakes, motor mounts, ball joint and alignment. Thomas and the crew at this location diagnosed the issues correctly and were able to fix them quickly. They are courteous and very helpful. I found the rates to be reasonable and fair. Im sure Ill be back, only hopefully only for an oil change this time.

I have been to this location twice now. The first time was for an oil change & once they found out I was going to Houston they did a full vehicle inspection so that myself & my son would be safe. They did not charge me for the extra service. The second was only due an oil change. Both times the staff were friendly & helpful. I didnt wait for more than 25 minutes either time to have my car worked on and bother times I did not have an appointment. Have found my new auto shop for my vehicle needs.

I had broken down on the access road and needed a repair ASAP, they came down to look at it, the belt had come off and i had no power steering. Jay helped me get my truck to their shop and took care of me right away. Jay did the repair, explained and showed me what happened. I dropped off my Jeep at this Carx location, had issues with ABS/Traction light. The Gentleman that waited on me told me that there would be a $120 charge for Diagnostic test that would applied to work, which I replied thats ok lets get work done. When I was called about what was wrong was quoted $72 dollars for labor and part was $64 dollars, total $278. I said that doesnt add up, since the labor was less than the cost of Diagnostic test, I expected total cost would be $64 plus $120 for Diagnostic test total $184. Carx said thats not the way it works. Will give a 10% discount, after going back and forth he gave me the max discount of 15%. I had to get Jeep fixed, so work was done which was good and Jeep running fine. Disappointed I was told one thing but once they had my vehicle was stuck paying $238. I received a follow up call and issue was resolved thank you.

Had a pre-purchase inspection done here and Thomas and Hector were incredibly responsive, helpful. They caught some things the Subaru dealership’s mechanics hadn’t caught (a/c low refrigerant and power steering rack going bad). I live out of town and they were able to work with me, text me the report, and talk me through the seriousness of their findings. If I lived close by I’d definitely use them again!

Have been using this shop for tires, oil changes, inspections, etc. Always a good experience, always friendly service, timely work, easy to get into, and fair pricing. The employees seem pretty happy in their jobs and take a lot of pride in a job well done. You’ll get a pretty accurate estimate up front, and communications throughout as to the status of the work.

As a woman, I have always been hesitant about taking my car in to mechanics because they tend to tell me to fix more than necessary. I have been going to Car-X since moving to San Antonio and this is the best auto shop that I have been to. Like any shop, the timing of service varies, but they take care of my car and I can say with confidence that the services and the costs are fair. The customer service is also great and all of the guys are friendly and personable. The manager, Raul has also been helpful with explaining the details. This is the ONLY place I feel comfortable taking my cars.

I have had two separate vehicles repaired here (on numerous occasions)and Ive always left happy. The staff is friendly, helpful, and they get the job done in a timely manner. I always ask for Jay (one of the technicians) because he is very good at what he does. He is also great at explaining the problem thoroughly and clearly, so that I understand what exactly is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it.Jay is very knowledgeable with the business and does not push his customers to do unnecessary repairs. Rather, he does a thorough inspection and, only if needed, makes suggestions for certain repairs that may be costly if not fixed immediately. His recommendations have saved me a lot of money.Additionally, Jay is very understanding of his customers. If there is a long wait for my vehicle to be repaired, and I have other business to tend to, almost every time Jay has provided me with a loaner vehicle so that I do not lose time at work and such; which also has consequently saved me more money.All in all, this place is my go-to when it comes to getting my vehicles repaired. Whether its for a simple oil change or dropping a brand new engine, these are the guys I trust with my ride.

This manager is incredible and so are all of the employees! We had just moved here from Houston and Hurricane Harvey was on its way. I had to make a sudden trip back to Houston to take care of our house and check on family. I went in for an oil change and when I went to the register to pay, a few of the staff came to the register as the manager told me that they had checked everything thoroughly, had changed the oil in my V8 truck with quality synthetic oil, and to please be very careful. Thankful, I handed him my credit card. He refused to take it, again asking me to please be careful- and then he and the staff asked if I would to please let them know of my safe return. Wow! Customer service at its best!

When my car needs to be fixed or I am concerned about anything, I only take my car to this Car Rx location. Every member of the staff that I have met have been nothing but amazing and friendly to help make their shop a wonderful environment. I know that when I come to this location my car will be fixed in a timely manner and I know that I am getting the best possible deal. As a person who knows nothing about cars and how they work, I have no problem with letting these guys do their job on my car because I know that they take pride in their job and genuinely want to help others. They do their best to explain the situation and to help me understand why all the mechanical changes are happening. Even though I still dont know much about cars I have never felt  cheated or lied to by anyone  that  has helped me there . If anyone is looking for a place to take their car in for servicing and they want the best possible job done at the fairest price, this is the place to come.

In less than 20 minutes of my calling Car-X, 2 people were sent to look at my car and brought it into the shop. Later that morning, I got a call with an estimate of costs, a detailed list of what needed to be done and when it would be completed. I was significantly less than I thought. Because of this, I asked for additional maintenance to be done, for which I was given an additional estimate, which I approved. Within minutes of when the repairs were scheduled to be completed, I got another call saying it was done. To their credit, the estimates I was provided included tax, which I did not expect.In total, I dealt with 4 people from Car-X that day. All were very friendly and professional. I would definitely use them again!

Friendly, prompt service. I had a clunking noise that I suspected was a my rear sway bar being loose. They put the car up, confirmed it was loose and torqued it down. I asked for the bill and they said not to worry about it since it had only taken a few minutes, I felt bad though as that sound had been driving me crazy for weeks. Ill definitely be back. Ive been taking my cars to this Car-X for 10 years and have had great service. When theyre busy they tell me when is a more convenient time to bring the car in or offer a ride home if I dont want to wait. They give an upfront estimate of the work and cost which Ive found to be reasonable and competitive with other service locations. Friendly and courteous manager and technicians.

I have had many exceptional experiences here. I think they are always kind and respectful (which i dont always find at a repair shop) and take good care of my car. They are very honest with what work is required versus a nice to have. The quality of repairs in my opinion has been excellent and I continue to go back.

Staff and management has always been friendly. They provide quick oil changes and tire rotations if you come by in the morning. Unlike many other shops, they arent always up - selling unnecessary services. If they recommend the repair, its likely a needed service.

Great place to take your car to get worked on, great prices and the customer service is awesome. We talked to J. Cano and his level of expertise was great. He explained every detail of what my car needed. Overall one of the best if not the best experience Ive had.

I brought my car in with a tire that was slowly leaking. Frank, the manager, had my car taken car of right away and showed me the piece of metal that had been lodged in my tire. He noticed that my wheels needed an alignment, but the shop was busy and it would be an hour before they could do it. So I took it back this morning and it took less than a half hour. Great service! Took my wifes Range Rover in for a brake job and despite possibly making more money off of me, Raul actually suggested that rotors on my front brakes were not necessary yet and changing the brake pad would be fine. I got great service here. My 2008 Tahoe blew out the back air shock suspension and my rack and pinion was worn. They gave me a fair price( I had talked to the Chevy dealer first) and even gave me some options for a temporary fix if I needed to wait. They explained things well and even drove me to my office while they completed the work. A few days later a dash light came on and they fixed it right away at no charge. I have been very pleased with their service.

There are at least a half dozen places to service my cars between Car-X in Leon Springs and my house in Boerne. Im so glad I chose Car-X. I have been using them now for about a year. They service my 2000 F-150 pick-up and my 2013 Subaru Outback. I am always greeted with a positive smile and a great attitude. They stick to their quotes and the services they have performed on my cars have been honestly perfect... and at about 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper that the dealer. These guy are what good is all about. They really do go the extra mile, the whole crew is accessible and the services done are explained simply, honestly and concisely. Theres also a Las Palapas, Longhorn burgers and a Starbucks just across the parking lot if you choose to wait for your car elsewhere. They are also a AAA shop so thats an additional 10% off if you are a member. You wont be disappointed.

We were headed back to Dallas when we realized a plastic piece under our van had come unsecured. We stopped in and they had us fixed up and back on the road within 10 mins! Super nice and professional! Thank you Car-X!

I wont go into the details here, but will post this as courtesy to others to avoid this place. In my experience, they were so clearly dishonest. After leaving their shop I drove straight to a more reputable shop and was told Theres nothing wrong with your vehicle. Who told you there was a problem with the ______ ? I responded, Car-X. He replies, Oh yeah, they have a reputation for that. 10 minutes later I had my passing state inspection from the honest place. Car-X wanted to charge me over $800 to replace parts that were perfectly fine so I could pass a state inspection. Then they tried to convince me it was a great deal. I thought it was going to be a lot more. he assured me before I walked out.

I have been using CarX in Leon Springs since they opened. Great bunch of guys and very professional and courteous. I have to give them 5 stars because they have helped get me out of problems with dead batteries, tires, air conditioning, suspension. All the work was in a timely manner and very good service. I recommend them highly.

I dropped my car off with a coolant leak I knew would be difficult to find on my own. Jay is a good friend of mine and he has done so much work for me that I have complete confidence in his skill and talent. He diagnoses and repairs quickly and professionally at a good price. Great friendly customer service, not pushy. I went in for an oil change, it was ready in a few minutes and they checked my car and let know a 2 thing could be improved. They did not push to try and fix them, but informed me of my options. I will be returning with any other future issues or maintenance.

I was referred to the Leon Springs location by a friend after getting a quote from another shop. The store manager was able to save me more than half the other shops quote, did it in a timely manner & was professional. Would def recommend them for your auto needs.

Not the absolute cheapest place for sure, but fairly reasonable prices. Ive taken my 2007 Toyota Sienna in to this Car-X a couple times and have been very happy with their work. They fixed some things that another shop completely missed (I verified that the repairs were actually necessary, so they werent finding things that didnt need to be fixed).

Sadly I hit a bird and it was wedged into my grill making it impossible for me to get it out. Initially, I called the dealership whom I always do business with (for the past 10 years) and was quoted a diagnostic fee of $69.95 with a 2-3 hour wait. Understandably, I needed it out the same day so I found Car X, called them up and was told they could have someone look at it right away. Thomas and Chad hooked me up and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Thanks guys!! Also, the place was very clean and they had coffee and water available!

This place may have great service for some, but my roommate and I have had a terrible experience so far. Anytime we called they would blow her off. She had a two year warranty on her battery and the service people tried to rip her off saying that since she only had a month left she could only get $10 back on her new battery. She had her dad call and guess what? He got the full warranty. Secondly, while she was waiting on the invoice for her receipt she had to call about 7 times and they still have not sent it to her. She even asked to stay on the line until it was sent and the customer service person just hung up on her. I’m really losing patience with these people!

My only disappointment is I discovered this place literally days before I move out of the state, better late than never I guess!Also, they worked on my bmw with no problem and didn’t use that as an excuse to raise the price.

Thomas at this local CarX took care of us. We have a 2016 Volvo XC60 with 70k miles. The alternator went out last month. The replacement service was good as expected. However, that was not the end of the issue. Yesterday, one day ago, the car died, the alternator went out - it was a faulty one. I was on the road without a warning in the middle of rush hour. It was a not a good feeling. I called Thomas and he committed to fix the issue ASAP. One day later I have my car back, with a new alternator that was not in stock or even in the city, at no charge. Not only was it fast but responsible. I will use them for ALL my repair needs.Great people!

Took in my Toy Tacoma to get my brakes worked on. Prices compared to dealer are a bit cheaper. The tech (Alfred, I believe was his name) was very professional and meticulous in explaining the work he did. Definitely stopped the shaking when I would apply the brakes. Didnt try to upswell me on anything. Found the new shop to get car work done.

I went into CarX thinking maybe thermostat stuck or hoping for something minor... My truck was put on a lift and they showed me where my leak was actually coming from, back of the motor. I had concerns... I spoke with Thomas. He told me what needed to be done, how much it would cost and assured me my truck would be fine.Im from Indiana, where my grandfather and uncles were mechanics...always had a place to go. My friends here arent mechanics, but one suggested CarX. Im glad I went.Just wanted to say Thank You Thomas and CarX! I now have a place to go and trust!
