Been using Baumann Auto since the 60s with Dads cars, then my own cars. Great service, honest, and reliable. Now my kids are using Baumann Auto Repair.

I got there early for my early morning oil change. The owner was very nice. Only thing they left my car window down and the mosquitoes bit the hell out of me. The oil change prices were a little over priced to me $90. For a jeep compass. I had a 370z in Virginia and I didnt pay that much. But it seems San Antonio is more expensive than I imagined on everything.

I did not use this service, Toby who works at the front desk was so disrespectful and very unprofessional. Within the first minute of meeting Toby, he raised his voice and cursed at me just for me saying he was rude over the phone and in person. My own wife and daughter noticed it over the phone the day prior. So the following day comes I arrive, he asked me what seems to be the problem? I tell him that my turn and brake signals are out, more or less how long would you think it would take? Fair question right? He immediately gave me an impression of Baumann Auto Repair with his raising of his voice, attitude and unprofessionalism. Baumann Auto Repair has lost a potential loyal customer within the first minute of my arrival. I just wouldnt want any other person to deal with this horrible service, I know Im not!

Great people genuine mechanics .

My daughter and fiancé took their Kia to get checked out for an acceleration issue. They received a $3k estimate for a $1400 fuel pump front and rear brakes, spark plugs and a cabin air cleaner. They refused the work and and had car towed to the Kia dealership. They were told by the dealer that the only thing they needed was the high pressure fuel pump and turbo flush. They said the rear brakes were fine and the front brakes did need replacing and the rotors needed to be turned. It is coming out to 1/3 of what Baumann wanted to do and charge. I Do Not Recomend this place.

If you need quality auto repair and great customer service you have come to the right place!!Toby and crew have done a phenomenal job of taking care of my mustang, the pricing for a change of battery was cheaper than other shops around ($214 was the price being asked for the battery and labor, you did it for $175) and the quality of work was superb!You have definitely won me over as a returning customer in the future, loved seeing you work on classic cars as well!For others, do business with this company and check them out!**also** for military customers like myself, loved the fact that you support reservist and national guards to serve, and have a job to comeback to, that says alot about a business! A+✔ and 10% off Active Duty (except for tires, and batterys) just let them know!

Well me and my brother-in-law broke down there they let us stay there until the tow truck came to get us call my brother-in-law Red McCombs work stock otherwise the people there were very nice and friendly I dont know about the way theyve worked there but theyve been in business for a long time Im pretty sure they good people to trust

I took my car here before,and its the worst mistake I made..They broke my heater system while trying fix a completely different issue with the car.when it was working fine.and when they work on Ur car they just rip off the covers off and dont put back in the cover tabs back at all!!they start charging you for work that you didnt even want done and you have to pay!! or else you dont get your car back,completely bs! and when they put in a new oil pan I come to find out getting my car worked on at a other place and they lift my car up....I STILL HAVE THE SAME OIL PAN THAT I ALREADY HAD ON THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT!!!they are lairs and make up problems with your car that is not there.Do false work on your car.Take your money and car somewhere else where pleasee.

We went for service and we were told they changed our oil pan. Come to find out we still had original oil pan. Ive taken my car there before and thought i was getting great service but now Im not too sure. We will not be returning there.

Baumann has worked on several of my cars. Everything is always explained thoroughly. There are no surprises and the staff is great! Toby goes out of his ways and definitely goes the extra mile. They do a great job!

I brought my 1986 F-150 to them for a free diagnostic and then agreed to a scope of work. The truck was overflowing the coolant reservoir and then overheating. We agreed for them to change the belts on the front accessory drive and that was it. When driving home after they fixed the belts, the coolant temperature barely came off full cold. I attributed this to the water pump not slipping on the belt.We eventually solved the coolant overflow problem (burned exhaust valve and maybe a head gasket leak) and drove it for a couple hours. At the end of a trip, the thermostat housing gasket gave way and let boiling coolant coat the engine bay and our driveway. After opening the thermostat housing the next week, the thermostat had been removed (I had previously bought one and installed it prior to going to Baumann Auto Repair). This explains why it was running cold. They also did not install the housing with a gasket, only RTV. This also explains why it blew after a few hours of operation.When I initially picked up the truck, they did not notify me that they had removed the thermostat, they did not ask if they could remove the remove the thermostat, and they did not use a gasket when they reassembled it. No vehicle of mine will ever be back at this auto repair shop.

Amazing. Walked in and was immediately greeted by service writer. Another mechanic was also sitting in office area. As I told the gentleman wat was wrong they quickly had an idea of wat the problem was. Took my info and informed me that a call would b made of repairs needed & an estimate. Great service and very attentive.

Ive trusted the mechanics at Baumann with my Cadillac for 7 years. The forman tells me what needs to be replaced and whats still good for another 10-12K miles. Thanks guys!

I couldnt ask for better service, I sell cars and have 30 years of retail. Im a bit of a perfectionist and strive for 100% surveys across the board.So what Im saying is that this company hands down has met every standard possible, at the highest level.So do business with this company because there a solid company.I checked to see what it would cost at the BMW dealership, they were double what Baumanns charged.I didnt have an appointment, but they got me in right away, even though every bay was full.This is a 5 Star facility.

The mechanic was able to find out what the problem was with my truck when my husband and i along with my 2 year old took the truck in since the service engine light was on and being the truck wasnt acting right. Told me that the vacume hose was cracked and thats how come the truck was shaking and kept turning off on us. Price was reasonable and didnt take long from the time frame that was given. My husband and I are planning to keep doing business here to keep our truck up and running. Truck is running smoothly now. Thank you if your ready this review.

These guys are great. Fair prices for parts and labor, they get done quickly, they know what theyre doing, and theyre respectful.

Went out there for an oil change and met a couple of straight forward honest guys that provided service above and beyond what was expected, will be back!

Called in advance for vehicle inspection, they verified $7 cost and it’s a walk in until 6pm. Arrived and man stated inspector went on break and won’t return for an hour. Probably something you should have said when I called.

I took my car to baumanns and it was the worst decision I have ever made. They broke things on my car and said they would fix it for me not to worry , but when my car was finished they said I had to pay them for what they broke. They said that my part was gonna break eventually so why should they have to pay for it which was total bull since the part was new and I never had any problems with it before. Then they said they would cover towing , but charged me for it anyway. They also charged me 200 for a part they said was going to be sixty. From the beginning they told me for everything out the door it would be 750, but when it was time to pay they said I owed them over 1500 and said they would not give me my keys until it was all paid. This was the worst experience and I regret ever taking my cars there. They also tried to charge me for things that I never told them to do. They are rude liars and sneaky.
