John was awesome. My truck had to be towed, he told me 2 wrecker services to call. Called me told me fuel pump was out ,they fixed it in record time , gave me a heads up about my brakes and rotors in rear need to be changed. Ill bring my truck back here for sure. My car needed a few costly things done to it and before they proceeded with fixing those issues, they made sure that the right call was made for the whole car before charging me for it. I really appreciated the time and effort put in to diagnosing and fixing my car.

I have had nothing but great experiences here. Great customer service, they listen and communicate my car issues in a way I understand. Quick turnaround on returning my vehicle to me each time. Mr Joe quoted me a price for my brakes and told me to bring it on in, I brought it in and went next door to eat lunch. In the time that it took me to simply relax with my son and eat lunch, they completed the work on my car. It sound good and drives good. Very happy with the price and the service.

Need an HONEST car care center?Then SPARKS CAR CARE is the place to be with Manager Joe and Mechanic Paul!Yesterday evening my check engine light came on. I drove to an auto part store to have the diagnostics run. They told me You need new spark plugs. Then they cleared the codes!I took my car to SPARKS CAR CARE this morning and met Joe and Paul. They pulled the spark plugs and the spark plugs were clean as a whistle! They DID NOT charge me for a Tune Up w/Fuel Injection Service. Instead, they told me to come back in when the check engine light comes back on and then they could run the diagnostics and tell exactly why my car is misfiring! AN HONEST COMPANY!!! Honest mechanic, always gives a fair price. Every time I get work done there my car always sounds amazing. This time my car died overnight and I took it in the morning. He worked on it and it was done by lunch time. Something went wrong with my car later that day, so he sent someone out to my work to fix it. Runs great now. I even checked his quotes with a friend of mine and he said his prices were fair.

Im new to San Antonio and being new to an area car trouble is a nightmare! You dont know which places are fair and honest or which places just want you hard earned money and will rip you off! I came across Sparks in a Google search of places close to me work good reviews. Almost all the reviews (as you see) spoke of their fairness and their honesty. So I gave them a chance and I am SO glad I did!! Very professional, fast service, friendly, and my car is FIXED!! I will ALWAYS use them as long as Im here in San Antonio!! Do not go here there crooks quoted me 140$ to replace spark plugs that cost 12$ and takes 5mins to replace

I have been going to Sparks Car Care when I need service over the past 16 years that I have been in San Antonio.The staff are honest about what needs repair and what does not, they have always been very professional with me.Pricing is fair for the services they provide compared to other shops and I trust them with my vehicles.

I had been taking both my vehicles here in the past 1 1/2 years while John was at this location. I gave high recommendations at that time. However, since he has left I can never get anyone to pull up my account information to review my previous work I had done. They say they dont have a key and the owner only had it. After numerous calls and drop in the owner never seems to be there. When I asked why is he never there I was told its not there business and they dont know...My review has changed to very dissatisfied. Now, I need to find another place.. I was once so happy with Sparks service..Paul had always been nice, but the other guy really had an attitude!!

Great place to take your car to

Just went in to see how much it would be for a catalyst converter repair. He told me $1,300. I asked why so high because I know the part is between $300-400 bucks and he told me he is a business owner and has to make a profit so he doubled the cost of just the part. It sounds like a rip off. I’ve never heard that in my life to double cost of the part.

I didnt like anything about this place, staff was rude and wasnt considerate that I have 2 small children with me. Their was nobody in the shop yet it took them 1 hour to tell me that my head light was out. I cant stress enough how unprofessional the staff was. Wasnt polite or anything. I would not recommend this shop to ANYONE and should have read the review before coming here.

If i could i would rate 0 stars.I was on my way home when i noticed a young lady had a blow out on 410 and she had 3 kids with her (one was a new born) so i stopped to help her change her tire. The truck was on the shoulder on 410 so i was a bit in a hurry to get it over with due to how dangerous it is. I didnt have a jack so i went across the access road to ask Joe the owner if i could quickly borrow one he says he doesnt have one.Luckily the young ladies brother brought a jack but forgot the tire iron.So i go back across the street and ask Joe if i could please borrow one really fast to get the tire change over with.He says NO.I tell him The lady has 3 small kids with her. Joe tells me sorry its not his problem.This is not right considering the vehicle was within 40yds of his shop and how dangerous San Antonio is known for bad drivers and friendly hospitality.This business owner does not know the first thing of the latter.I do not recommend this shop to my worst enemy.If he isnt kind enough to help out a lady and 3 kids, he isnt kind enough to do Honest work and be truthful.I would warn anyone thinking about going here beforehand.

Ive been going to joe and staff for over 15 years and i can honestly say that their the only technicians that ill trust. Theyve always been there for us and have never taken advantage, so i recommend sparks car care for everyone.

They have always been honest and they tell you whats really up. They dont fix whats not broken.
