I recently had my car inspected here and I only have nice things to say. It was a very timely service and everyone I spoke with was very kind. Keke did a great job with the service. Hannah and Julie wowed me as well! Hannah was managing phones and doing a superb job handling (what sounded like) sticky situations while continuing to be super professional and courteous. Julie was kind and knowledgeable as well. Everything felt well managed and I was very happy after the short hour I spent in the lobby.

I didnt understand why when I was given 2 different quotes at 2 Midas locations no one said I needed brakes and rotors. The other Midas location wouldnt honor the other quote. When my SUV was driven twice no one heard anything. My light on my dash wasnt on, but soon as I let the 2nd Midas place after they did the work on my Transverse. My dash light came on after getting 4 new tires and 2 struts or shocks on front end and alignment as soon as I hit the highway. My tire monitoring system light came on. I called and was told to put air in my tires. Just getting 4 NEW TIRES you have to put air in them. My SUV starts to shake when I apply the brakes over 40 mph. Was told they did a test run and everything was fine. I was so excited. Was told to bring it back in after paying nearly $1600.00 now additional $44.00 for something that should of been done at first a reset. Now I have another quote for another $1500.00. When I took my SUV it wasnt shaking and no lights on dash. Remind you I went to 2 locations no quote was ever given for brakes and or rotors. Not to happy after this. I want this to be made right.

My battery failed while out this morning, so I went to O’Reilly’s. I was told I’d need a new alternator and battery after a test and that it would cost nearly $700, that I needed to decide within an hour, and that If I left the car could break down on the road. The employee at O’Reillys also said he’d fix it on his own (as his side job). I called Midas at Willow Lawn for their opinion and an estimate and spoke with Paul. He immediately said it didn’t make sense that the alternator would be defunct if there was no battery light on and if the car started again, which it did, and given my low mileage. He told me to drive over and after a quick test, it was immediately clear that the alternator was perfectly fine, that the battery just needed to be replaced, and that the employee at O’Reilly’s was clearly hustling me. He brought me to the car and showed me the test as it was happening and what they were looking for. Paul saved me several hundreds, if not a thousand after labor, of dollars by being an honest and good person. I will absolutely come back after Paul’s superb customer service.

I got my Totota Rav4 here for inspection, firstly it got them 2 hours to do the inspection, secondly they told me that one of my headlights were defective and had to be replaced, they charged $60 to change a small bulb. That was so strange for me as I had no indication before the inspection that the main headlight was gone/not working, there was no item on the dashboard, also no decrease in the amount of light I was getting during the night time; even though I drive a lot during the night. Do not go here for inspection; if the do not find an item they will make one for you, and will charge a ridiculous amount for it.

They are really over charging people. I originally went to the Scotts Addition location, which by the way has great service, but chose to go to the Willow Lawn location because I had a coupon for a free oil change. Now, I got this coupon for getting an oil change and a state inspection that ran me over $80. I found out later I was really over charged for that service so I figure hey they should throw in a free one. When I got to the Willow Lawn location the woman running the front desk was really rude. She got angry because I didnt know what type of oil I got before and asked where I even got the coupon. Then, after the oil change, the mechanic said I needed a new cabin and engine filter, because they are really dirty well I got home and had my husband change the cabin filter and its perfectly clean. But what made me not want to go back, is when I picked up my car, the lady was rude again and said that since I got synthetic oil its typically half off and not free. Well, dont give out coupons if youre not going to honor the service. They were nice and gave it for free this one time, but honestly there are better places to take your car.

Any bad reviews you see here might have been from several years ago. Ever since I started taking my car to Midas, Sarah (I LOVE HER!) and Bruce have been very professional and of course, friendly in letting me know what needs to be done and so forth. Unlike other places where they try to get you to spend on things you dont need, this location tells you as it is. Bruce and Sarah run a very honest business over there and Ill definitely recommend it to anyone that needs some work done on their car.I had to spend a few extra bucks on new rotors and brake pads during one visit. After I told Sarah I couldnt afford it, she advised me that it needed to be done ASAP in order for me not to spend even more in the future. She told me about a credit card I could apply for and use toward the cost of replacing these items. I got approved right there and got the work done. Good news is that the credit card was interest free for 6 months so I ended up paying it off without interest. These people really do care about their customers and so I urge everyone to try them. I hope this review helped someone!

Failed inspection for a rear axle leak and a transmission rear output shaft seal. The transmission seal isn’t a requirement to pass or fail. I searched these parts on several different websites. The RR axle seal, bearing and brake shoes online ranged from $7 to $18 and from Midas it $40 for the seal and the axle bearing and the brakes over $50. The labor was $200. I was told that I had to pay over $400 for parts and labor. I received a quote at a Firestone location for $175 plus tax for all of these services combined. The customer service at Midas was abrasive and I did not feel like a valued customer. I was overall unhappy with my experience here and probably won’t use Midas in the future. If I could give this place zero stars instead of one star, I would. They are scam artists and I would not recommend anyone go here. I recently got a state inspection and failed the inspection. I was told I needed both of my rear (rear Axel) break shoes replaced as well as my windshield wipers and that this replacement would cost me a total of $339.73 for parts and labor, plus taxes and fees. I was completely okay with getting the rear shoes replaced as well as my wipers fixed but I had the feeling that they were charging me a bit too much for the parts and labor. So, I took the fail sticker and began looking for other quotes. I decided I would change my windshield wipers myself and reached out to Firestone about my breaks. Firestone told me that I would be charged around $150 for parts and labor on my breaks so I jumped on that offer and took my car in to get the shoes replaced. Upon inspecting my car, Firestone explained that although my windshield wipers did need to be replaced, my break shoes actually DID NOT fail inspection. They walked me through the steps of checking my rear breaks and explained to me that they were completely within the confines of passing state inspection. The manager at Firestone explained that knowingly failing an individual for a state inspection is illegal and that Midas can lose their inspection license because of this. If they did this to me, I am assuming they are doing this to many other people (and from reading previous reviews, I know that they are). Please safe yourself time (and a boatload of money) and go somewhere else. Midas is forever losing my business and I honestly am disgusted with them. I will continue to spread negative reviews about them wherever I can so that others are aware of what they are doing. Have a nice day!

Man, I was really upset that I took my car in for inspection. The very first thing they did was scrape off the old sticker. Bend over....now theyve gotcha!!Then, after waiting nearly 2 hours, they takexme to look at the nearly 900.00 of repairs that I now have no choice but to do, now that theyve taken off the sticker.Funny thing was, 80% of the bill was a 250.00 muffler that took 12 minutes to replace, and charged a great deal more. I had 2 small holes in my exhaust that were hard to even see. The old guy wrenched and wrenched with a 2 foot long screw driver on my exhaust probably creating these holes. Then, I needed a wiper blade on the passenger side. At Advanced Auto, those 2 replacement wiper blade cost 12.00. Here is almost 50.00 for something that is installed in 3 to 5 minutes.I am very disappointed in the screwing I got here and will seek out a new place. Never Again!! Especially when they know Im caring for a stage 5 of 7 stages of alzheimers patient.Ive always considered the owner Mark to be fair, decent and honest. I appreciate his effort to help other, Ive always thought he stick up for the screwed people.Well, Im the middle class who is barely able to do what I can do with my mother in law. Hitting me with a 900.00 bill means we have now all got to cut back on medications and groceries. My exhaust was worn but still strong and wasnt hanging anywhere. I would have gladly paid for a fair deal.

I took my car in to be inspected. I had recently had all of my tires replaced so I was fairly confident there would be no major surprises. WRONG! The first issue was that Midas could not locate the tire key to unlock my wheels. The female manager told me they could change out my wheels from locking to unlocking at an expense to me of course. I was also told the technician searched the vehicle and the key could not be located. I went back to Midas to look for myself. The female manager there with me the entire time. I have to admit I know NOTHING about cars but knew the tires were recently replaced so the key had to be there. Once there I was informed that I would need a new power steering unit to pass inspection. That alone would cost me $1,300. Needless to say I was a bit more than frustrated and left with my vehicle and failed inspection sticker. Upon arriving home, my husband located the key lock right were it was supposed to be.... with the spare tire! The following day I took my car to another car repair shop with the rejection stick for all to see and repeated what Midas advised me. Long story short, I did not need a new power steering unit, merely the boot. My total repair cost, which included an inspection and an alignment was a grand total of $238. I will never go there again. I feel like they saw a sucker female coming and tried to take advantage of me.

I was visiting a friend in Richmond and decided I should get an oil change before I road tripped across the country back home so I made an appointment here. Two hours after the time that my appointment was for they finally get to my car to start the oil change. When they finish they tell me that my air filter is dirty and one of my tail light bulbs is out and ask me if I want them to replace those. I ask how much longer that will take and they say 5 minutes. I figured the air filter would be $15-$20 and a bulb is $3-5 and 5 minutes of labor should be $20 at the most so it shouldnt be too bad and give them the okay. Well I was wrong. The parts cost what I thought they would but they charged me $26 for labor to replace the air filter and $15 to replace the bulb. The worst part is that the air filter was already removed because of the inspection that they do with the oil change and if I would have said no they would have put the dirty filter back in with no additional charge. In the end I paid and additional $75 to my oil change for what I could have done for $20 in parts, a screw driver, and 15 minutes in a parking lot somewhere. Moral of the story, always ask them for estimates on the work they try to tack on before you okay them to do it.

There was an old big belly guy who walks with a limp walking around my car leaning all over it using my car as a crutch. This guy needed a cane and is not physically fit enough to inspect a car without leaning all over it. I went there a few months ago to get my brake pads replaced and was told they didnt need to be replaced. I went back last week and found out that the brakes were so worn down, that the rotors needed to be replaced as well. The work, which included an oil and filter change, cost me almost $1400. The next week, I noticed a creaking noise and discovered that one of the rotors was rusted. I took it back and was told the parts manufacturer sent one uncoated rotor in a box of coated rotors. They replaced the rusted rotor. I continued to hear a noise so I had my son drive me (I have trouble driving long distances) to my friends shop 20 minutes away. He found that a piece of metal was rubbing against one of the rotors and simply moved it. He also noticed that none of the brake pads were lubricated. I will never go to any Midas location ever again. I will just travel the extra distance to have someone do the job right. Its very clear to me that they lied about the brake pads being okay a few months ago so that they could charge me for new rotors as well later on. My son also found out from his autotech teacher that the owner of the Midases in this area is crooked. Im not the least bit surprised. Took my accord for new muffler, they said over the phone prob $250, then after looking at it said it needed pipe from the catalytic converter as the rest of the pipe was rusted out and it would be $784. Midas said they couldnt put a muffler on rusted out pipe. I took it to the muffler shop on horsepen and they put a new muffler on for $188 and said while there was rust on the pipe it was not rusted out.

Went here this week for a car inspection. When the estimate came back for over a thousand dollars worth of work needed, I immediately brought it to another shop for a second opinion. Not only was some of the work not needed, but the second shop charged half of what Midas was estimating for parts and labor. At the end of the day my total came to just over four hundred dollars. Ive had other problems with Midas in the past and this will likely be the last time I bring my car to their shop.

I took my moped here because a weld between my exhaust and muffler cracked. We dont do that the female manager said. I responded quizzically, You dont fix mufflers at Midas? So I rented a welder from Home Depot for $33 and fixed it myself. If anyone needs welding done on their exhaust or muffler, come see me because Midas doesnt do that evidently.

State inspection, charge me $90 to replace 3 light bulb for a Camry. Such as rip off.
