I asked for a quote to repair the trunk motor. They told me that I had no original parts and had to spend $ 800. At BMW SHOP the budget was $ 70. My car is all original and I only had to fill a hydraulic oil tank.Because Google wont let me answer your answer, Im going to edit my post and add more.Apologize?? and what happens to the money thrown away? Dont you return it? If you dont do your job right ... you shouldnt get paid. Basically, you are not professionals. You do not find the error. It is the client himself who must say I want to fix this piece. With the customers money it is very easy to change parts until the error is found.

2011 BMW 335i X Drive 105k miles. Its a fact that most people will post a negative review when they feel they’ve had a bad experience while others who’ve had good experiences won’t post nearly as often. (Unfortunately, it should be the other way around). I’m so pleased with my experience that I wanted to express my gratitude on here so that others will feel comfortable knowing they’re in great hands when it comes to their BMW and/or Mini. From my first call to Bavarian Auto Haus, Jeff was professional, timely and was able to get me in there fairly quick. He was 100% transparent from the beginning to end and explained everything in great detail with no surprise charges etc… They found a couple other small issues while working in the engine bay which I was more than happy to have repaired as one of these parts could have caused major repair costs down the road had it not been addressed. Everything went great and the car was in and out on time as promised.Approximately 5 weeks had passed since I picked up my car and I started experiencing some smoke coming from the engine bay. I called Jeff and he said “Bring it in and we’ll take a look”. Jeff and his team took care of it for me for absolutely No Charge! I even offered to pay him a couple hundred bucks because I felt it was only fair but he wouldn’t accept it. Also, this wasn’t a minor fix, it was a big deal and the Labor time alone for this repair is over 6 Hours! My car is 100% PERFECT now and even starts/idles better than is has in years. Before all this, I was contemplating selling/trading in my car but I made the right call. I love driving my BMW again and Bavarian Auto Haus has a Customer For Life.Thank You Jeff and the entire team, sincerely!-Dan

As professionals ... they are either bad or blind. I had a noise in the engine of my car. As professionals they advised me what I should repair. After spending $ 2000 they said they couldnt repair the sound and should have spent $ 1600 more. Changing nonsense parts is easy with someone elses money.

Jeff and his crew have helped maintain a 2002 BMW for... goodness... 13 years? I hesitate to answer since since I cant remember when the previous owners bought the car, but when they sold it to me they vehemently recommended Bav Auto Haus. I personally have (had) been coming for 8.5 years.I am enthused to report that the car has just eclipsed 160,000 miles, however I am having a mild panic attack since I moved out-of-state recently and am due for maintenance. I loathe the awkward dance of having to find a reputable, trustworthy mechanic. Ever think of offering mobile servicing or starting a satellite office???Jeff has always been fair and honest about work he suggests. Pricing can be inherently high (blame BMW corporate, part prices are astronomical), but labor has always been in line with expectations. He was always diligent about reporting any potential issues, and never pressured me into stuff I didnt need. Hes a straight shooter and enthusiast who appreciates the cars he works on.

I thought the repair on my Mini was going to cost a fortune and take a while to fix. He had it done in less than a day for about the same a it cost to tow my car there. He was totally honest. It was very refreshing. I will be going there again and i do recommend them! Very nice. Very knowledgeable. Thank you Jeff!!

I was called that my car was checked I went to go see my car it was in the same spot we had parked it in. Car sat here for months for them to tell me they cant do anything and they had moved it to check it. I had bought brand new tires and one was flat from how long it was sitting with spider webs, then they charged me $2500 supposedly for parts. After I paid it next day he called said sorry but he cant do anything to the vehicle so I lost $2500 worst place I been to in Reno heard complaint about this place never going back. Stay away! Im not removing my post.My vehicle was under someone elses name due to the fact I had my license suspended for not paying a ticket here in Reno Nevada where I live! In the area code 89502 by the Atlantis hotel. You guys are right behind Subaru so dont tell me to take my post down thank you very much.

Last week the check engine light on my Mini came on. I phoned Bavarian Auto House, spoke to Mark, and made an appointment with him. Friday I kept the appointment and he checked the car out, then told me I would need a new thermostat but everything else was fine. I already knew this as we also have the computer plug in that gives us all the cars information and my husband called six auto shops and the dealer to get quotes, including Bavarian, where he spoke to Jeff who quoted him $507. I made the appointment with Mark for Wednesday, today. Took the car in and Jeff came out to talk to me. He told me there was no quote! He took about 15 minutes to get a quote together and it was over $581, nothing near the price he had told my husband. He also said that Mark had ordered the wrong part, so they couldnt put it in anyway or honor the appointment in any way. I was terribly disappointed with their lack of service and failure to honor both their quotes and their appointments. Wont be taking either of our fancy pants cars there any more at all.

I bought a 2003 Z4 for my son, knowing it needed some work. It had an oil leak and the top would unlatch, but the electric motors for the hydraulic top weren’t working, which Is a common problem. I took it to Bavarian Autohaus for a quote. The quote came back at a touch over $11,000. I wasn’t concerned about the amount as much as the details of the quote. The quote called for replacing the latch system on the top, totaling $2,200 for the labor and parts for the latch mechanism, (even though that mechanism was working fine) plus the hydraulic pumps indicating they did zero diagnostics. I asked them to do all of the work besides the top, including fixing the oil leak (which included changing the oil) brakes and a couple of other minor issues, which was about $5,000. I got the car back, and it still leaked oil. I couldn’t tell much change in the volume. I took the car back, and they claimed it had a second oil leak (again, indicating they did do much in the way of diagnostics) requiring an additional $3k in repairs. On another note, although not the direct fault of Bavarian Autohaus, the brakes they put on create more dust than any other brakes I’ve seen in my life.I will be taking my business elsewhere for future repairs.

Bavarian Auto Haus has been caring for my 2005 MINI Cooper since before there was a MINI dealer was located in Reno. Im happy to say that she just rolled over 100,000 miles and she runs like shes brand new! The staff at Bavarian is very knowledgeable, not to mention, honest. The prices are fair and its always service with a smile. I would happily recommend Bavarian Auto Haus to anyone who needed excellent BMW repair at a reasonable price!

Integrity! In one word, that describes them. They do what they are supposed to do with honesty and integrity. They dont try to sell you something you dont need. If there is a cheaper way of doing something that will work satisfactorily, they will offer it (as opposed to a dealer). Just what you want in service for your BMW- good techs, good service adviser, fair prices and integrity (Theres that work again)

New to me 2008 535xi ... BMW Dealer was just short of rude when I called to schedule oil service ... Um No! Investigating my options, I found BavarianAH. What luck! From start to finish - friendly, clear communication, great service. One week after my oil change ... I overextended the seat belt. I drove it in and asked if they could fix it. Fully prepared to pay for it. They immediately took it in, removed the door stuff that I NEVER could have and fixed it. Then did not charge me! What? Client for life. :)

Last November I stopped at this location with a newly purchased used bmw. I was driving a clean CA car home to FL, but the check engine light prompted a stop. I was handled professionally, treated like they wanted my return business even though I was obviously not likely to be back that way.I felt their prices were very competitive and they hit me with no surprises. In fact, I was so satisfied when I left, I remembered owing them this review now that Im searching for a service location near home.

They likely are competent and do a fine job, however they are expensive. Case in point, Bavarian cost to walnut blast a BMW n54 engine $667.67. Cost at HMB Motorwerks in Sacramento $395.Bavarian cost to change plugs $432.60. The changing of plugs while the top parts are already off the engine for the walnut blast job is a “15 min” job. Retail cost of BMW original plugs is $100. Do the math, they make $332 for 15 mins of labor, that’s over $1300 per hour... sweeeet.Just saying, shop around if you don’t want to pay a premium for work on your BMW.
