After researching auto repair in Reno, I found Acuna Total Car Care. Just dropped off my 2001 4WD Ford Ranger for a front bearing replacement. I will update after the work is done but so far I impressed with their straightforward talk and upfront quotes. Reasonable in prices too!

So Ill start by saying it saddens me to have a local place that came recommend perform poorly. I had transmission problems that were very blatant and noticable to me. My warranty company had them listed as a preferred shop so I had faith and took my truck to them. They stated that even though my transmission was overheating and having shifting problems that it was just confused and needed a reset. Told me to drive it 100 miles and it would be good. Fast forward to two weeks later I still encountered the same problems and broke down on the side of the road. How a transmission that is fine and doesnt have any problems just completely stops and leaves me stranded is beyond me. So bottom line is I paid over 100 bucks to have my vehicle diagnosed for nothing just to be worst off than when I started. That is terrible service by any way you look at it.

Came highly recommended from a family friend, unfortunately they wouldnt give me the time of day. I called for a quote last Friday, followed up on Monday and still not a word back as of today (following Friday). Maybe theyre really busy? Understandable with the times, but any communication would of been appreciated.

I had scheduled the work there and Acuna did the clutch job plus replaced my shocks and struts including alignment. The total job was done overnight!I drove up from San Diego just for this work because I know I can trust them to do the job right! Jasmine at the front desk is helpful and accommodating and her “junior assistant” is always charming.I highly recommend Acuna for folks in the Reno area and beyond!

Acuña Total Car Care provides amazing service and honesty with no price gouging. I take my vehicle there for regular maintenance but when I was rear-ended, Acuña also handled the whole claim for me! They coordinated the ordering of OEM parts/paint work at the body shop/installation of new parts plus dealt with the insurance. Our car didnt pass emission test, called around and spoke with a gentleman at Yees brother, due to COVID 19 precautions their shop was closed and couldnt help me. BUT, he was kind enough to refer me to Acuna total car care. Hes exact words, the guys there will help you, they are good guys! I am a first time customer and will return when my vehicle needs service in the future. The price was within my budget on what needed to be done to pass the emission smog test, all under $350 thats including 2hrs of labor. There was a problem with my front end alignment so I bought fully adjustable control arms that can fix the problem I got the control arms installed and I was in dire need of a alignment. I decided to call Acuna Total Car Care through a recommendation from a friend, and they had room for me the very next day as the first appointment in the morning. I walked inside and was greeted by Martin, who is very friendly and offered me to watch Netflix which the entire time was very enjoyable, they are straightforward, their prices are more than fair, and I consider them one of the best in town, not only that they fixed my alignment, they even went as far as adjusting the rear alignment as well which was an added bonus to my experience! Not only that they do auto repair, they can do just about almost anything as far as customization on cars and trucks! Highly recommended Im going there again for any of my customization needs that I cannot do myself. I would like to thank the entire staff for their professional demeanor and very friendly customer service!

Honest people.

Its ok. My mechanic recommended them to me for an alignment I went there in July because I had a tie rod I wanted checked out and needed an alignment. They thought the tie rod was fine, my mechanic and I would both disagree with that assessment (we replaced it ourselves) the alignment on that trip was not good - they told me it was as good as they could get it because my cam bolts were not adjustable. Fast forward to today, I just did a suspension lift and needed another alignment this time I bought adjustable cam bolts for the alignment - they charged me 50.00 to install them with the alignment (80.00). I wasnt too thrilled they charged 50 bucks for the cam bolts, they were going to be turning those 4 bolts either way if anything swapping them out made it an easier job in my opinion. It took about an hour and 20 minutes to get things done (made an appt. ahead of time, and I suggest you do too). Driving off the lot, the alignment is noticable but I think it is still pulling to the right a bit.While you wait they have a TV with Netflix to watch while you wait. I think they guys in the shop are a git er done type and work with a lot of custom cars and trucks, so your likely to get better service and repair here if your stuff is custom than at a big box store.3 stars because the alignment both times hasnt been perfect. The extra bucks to do the cam bolt swap was unexpected (as they are required for proper alignment). The TV is nice for the wait. Local is a plus. And their experience working on customized vehicles is another plus.

So I had to get a dmv inspection on my truck in order to get new plates and they tell me something that i couldnt believe... my front breaks were metal to metal so they failed my breaks. The reason I dont believe it is cause I dont hear any screeching noises, or smell and my breaks feel smooth as ever so I took my truck to a friends so I can do a break job on it and all of my breaks were completely fine 🤔🤔 so theyre trying to scam me out of a break job cause I need the dmv inspection I do not recommend these people. Just a bunch of cons and scammers

Came in for an alignment and alignment feels worse than before I brought it in.I’ve had my car aligned before and it’s driven straight so that’s why I’m leaving this review.Waste of money and time unfortunately.

Took my 2003 Hyundai Elantra here because it was reading a check engine light and was running funny. Martin was very knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered a catalytic converter and had it installed and back up in running in no time.
