This is by far the best tire shop in Northern Nevada. Fair prices and fast service. Jordan, Dave and Nick go out of their way to make things happen and are top notch. I visited for a tire rotation and balance, and was greeted the moment I walked in. Although they were running a bit behind, you can tell the staff was working hard to accommodate every customer that was walking in or calling by phone. Daniel helped me out and was extraordinarily professional and kind to every customer. Clearly this store understand customer service!

On September 1, 2021 I was assisted by Nicholas and told to bring my car in at 7:45 am so my tire could be fixed and get me on the road. Nicholas greeted me first thing that morning. Jordan began working and came to explain to me, in layman terminology what was wrong. I appluad their professionalism. 5 Stars!!!!!

Very professional, speedy considering how busy they were.

Took my tire to discount tire on S Virginia for a flat repair. Because they were busy, I dropped it off when I was told that they will try and get it done by the end of the day or in the morning (next day). My son who was a mechanic with a very reputable auto repair, marked where the nail was an arrow pointing to were the valve was (This is to signify that is the spot to keep the tire balanced and this is how it was mounted from the factory) I got a call just after 5 of the day of drop off, they contacted me to let me know the tire was ready. Once there, they didn’t even offer to remount the tire for me. I contacted them after having to have to remount by my spouse. The valve wasn’t in place where it was indicated. Of course they tried feeding me mumbo jumbo just to appease me..Now I have to return and get the tire rebalanced … I’m not to certain of taking my service there anymore.

Every time I come here I see the most incredible high-end vehicles roll through this facility and there is a reason why these guys do a fantastic job!

Ive been a customer for a long time and Ive never had a bad experience, and on 6/28/21 was no different. Nate was my sales person. And did not disappoint! He went well above and beyond! I have a set of tires that wasnt available, and hasnt been in production for a while. He called around and found one on the east coast, now for the best part, I was out of town and had a low tire and found a screw in the tread close to the sidewall, the tire shop I had stopped at looked at it told me it couldnt be repaired and needed a new new tire. So it was aired up and I set out to Reno. So when I went to see Nate he found a tire on the east coast then took the time to pull the the tire off the wheel and found that the screw went in at a angle and was repaired, so If I could give six stars I would, saved me money and time. Thank you Nate! And Ill be calling when I need a new set of tires or have a problem with them!

Not the kind of service I’ve come to expect from other Discount Tire stores. I came in a few weeks ago for a tire rotation. They had to break one of my lug nuts in order to get it off. It wasn’t their fault the last place I went to put it on so tight, and they were kind enough to reimburse me for it. However, when I left, I trusted that everything had been done correctly and didn’t check their work, and I just discovered they forgot to replace two other lug nuts on my tires. I drove across the country after this visit with two missing lug nuts! I understand that there are other lug nuts in place for safety, but come on, guys… Pay more attention to details, and don’t get lost in the monotony of your day-to-day work.

Great inventory and customer service! Needed tires badly n figured my luck was running out. Lol. I was able to walk in and find my cars size with no problem and get them installed that afternoon as long as I could wait.

Great Staff, Very small location.Went there to have my air pressure checked (Dash light) and was help immediately. I even asked the employee a couple of tire related questions and she was able to answer them correctly and with out delay.I buy all of my tires from Discount/America Tire Co. last 18+ years.

I usually buy my tires at Discount. Just went to the location to get my tires rotated. The manager took good care and inspected my tires and they were good. Was impressed by the attention to detail.

Very professional good customer service good prices on tires and the warranty they offer is peace of mind totally worth it. So far the best tire place I’ve been to. A lot of other places in town just want to rip you off and then they give you poor customer service.

Got my tires installed at this location. Drove off the lot and one of the Bluetooth tpms reported low tire pressure. I pulled over at a gas station down the street and check each tire. One of the new valve stems broke off and immediately leak all the air out. I immediately called discount tire and even though this was a little after their closing time someone picked up the phone. I explained what happened and they sent someone over to help me to get the car back to the shop and install a tpms with good valve stem. After all that trouble and overtime from them, they told me no charge and even offered to comp for bluetooth stem repair. I will be returning to discount tires for all my wheel and tires need.

Outstanding! Recommend! These guys get it right! Happy, friendly, efficient, hard working, responsible, thorough, and caring down to the very last detail. If they can have an environment of team work, why cant any other place?

I scheadule a new tire to be mounted , to be specify it a 205/50/15 on a 15x8 wheel .. representative told me it to small to mounted on my wheel .. ??? I told him I got same tires before???? Mike stepped up and Beyond even what I have found in most other Discount Tire stores.My wife hit a pothole and destroyed a tire while we were spending time at Lake Tahoes West Shore. Her car runs a non common high performance low profile Tire, and also uses a compact mini spare. This means that the 200-mile trip back to Napa Valley would have to be restricted to 50 miles an hour ... impossible.I am a longtime fan of Discount Tire stores so I contacted the store in Reno. The first one I contacted did not have the tires in stock and referred me over to the second store. Mike had the tires in stock to fit that size, but had the amazing foresight to realized that they no longer made the size we would need for the back wheels in the same tire. We would have bought new tires for the front and not been able to later on replace the back ones with the matching brand and model. I am very grateful to Mike for catching this. He was able to source a different brand and made the trip to pick them up elsewhere in town and had them back in very short time.The crew at Discount Tire really went all out to get us back on the road again as soon as possible, like a well-trained pit crew.Mike and the crew at Discount Tire on Virginia Street in Reno made the whole experience end on a positive note. Despite the fact that these are not commonly available tires, we ended up with the product we wanted, at a very good price and never felt even a thought of being taken advantage of despite being caught in a very vulnerable predicament. 👍👍👍

I was a security guard at one of their events at Lake Tahoe for the best stores . I decided to give them a chance, because of how they treated the staff like family at the event. They treated me the same way when I bought my tires, were friendly, explained what my choices were, didnt treat me like that silly girl that Im used to, having been in many a part store, and other dealerships, they cared. They gave me an accurate waiting time, offered water and a nice waiting area. . Ill be back!

Great prices and service

Discount Tire has some shady policies. When they quote the Out the Door Price, the $25/tire certificate is added to your quote without you asking for it. For four tires that is an extra $100 charge you did not ask for, nor do they ever mention it. That is shady in my opinion.When a tire is rated to go 70,000 miles and only lasts 35,000 miles before Discount Tire says it is worn out, they need to prorate your next purchase for the missing mileage. They will not do this on their own. You have to ask them to do this. If you spent $600 on tires, and only got half the life out of them, Discount Tire owes you $300 on your next tire purchase. Not being upfront about getting you the prorate is shady in my opinion.By not being honest about the prorate, and the tire certificate Discount Tire tries to sneak $100s of dollars out of your pocket. When I spoke to a manager about these practices, I was given the line, What do I have to do to make you happy? This is belittling. Actually pay attention to what I say, compare it with policy and procedure, then, if I am off base, tell me. If your employees messed up, own it, and refund my money.I used to be a loyal Discount Tire customer. After my last experience, I will be looking elsewhere.

Great service.

I had gotten off work and realized my tire was flat which left me stranded in the rain. My husband came to change my tire to a spare and we hauled my car to Discount Tire just 15 mins before closing with my 2 month old in his car. We explained the situation to Eddie, I think his name was, and he convinced his manager to let us get our tire patched, which they did for free. It was so kind of them to squeeze us in so we didnt have to leave my car there for the weekend!

I have been going here for tires and rotations for around 10 years. Always helpful! Today my tire change over took longer than normal. Not horrible time, but went over my lunch hour so I was late getting back.

Cheap prices! I shopped around and finally went to discount tire. They saved me hundreds. Im so glad I found them! Customer service was excellent. I was given different options to choose from and they really went above and beyond to accommodate me.

I always get my tires at Discount Tire. They usually have the lowest prices on the tires I want and they do a good job at getting you in and out of there quickly. If i have a slow leak or flat they will repair it at no charge. If they do not carry the tires you want they can usually order them for you at a very competitive price. I highly recommend them.

Ordered four tires and had confirmed appointment. When I showed up at store didnt have all four tires and showed me their computer screen indicating that the tires were discontinued.What a way to treat a long time customer of 20 years. Zero stars.

Made an appointment and it still took almost 2 hours to put 2 new tires on my vehicle. Seems pretty slow to do 1 tire an hour... But really love the warranty deal they have for $100 you can add in case a tire goes flat and is not fixable. Had 2 tires go flat with less than 10k miles on each and they replaced them no problem. Definitely will continue to utilize Discount Tire and their services.

Fast friendly service. It pays off to make an appointment. They can get busy at time so if you have an appointment you wont have to wait too long. They honor Tire mileage warranties which is nice. They only change tires and rotate no brakes or oil changes.

I was away from the United States for about 23 years, and after returning to Reno have had nothing but bad luck. The Volkswagen lithia dealership is a bunch of crooked thieves who tried to rip me off for my wifes car service, and then I had three flat tires in two weeks on both of our vehicles. In a hurry to get a fix, this shop got me in and out in less than an hour on a busy day, they were super friendly thorough and informative. They even repaired my tire Free of charge. Honest clean professionals. I 100% will bring my business here in the future, and I fully recommend them to anybody whos sick of the cut throat aggression that lies everywhere else. My husband and I stop by to get 4 tires change and sat there for more than 10 mins. And 4 employees were there and one of them looked like he would be the manager and we were completely ingnored by all of them . An other costumer came in and he was greeted and told hell be helped right away. So My husband and I just left. Very humiliating 😡

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the wrong size on my car, they were like that when I bought. The salesman looked up the make and model of my car and told me the right size of my tires are a bigger size and they were a little more expensive, but they gave them to me for the same price. I have a new tire company for life.

What great products and even greater service. I get 60,000 mile tires for all weather and terrain for the same price as 40,000 mile street tires at our local (and only) gas station along with similar over-priced ones in Quincy, our county seat.The price includes monthly air checks, free tire repair, and rotations for the life of the tires.I have purchased tires here for over 20 years and there are locations all over the USA.
