Ordered 2 58 x 34 acoustic window inserts for my master bedroom windows. These windows are facing a moderately busy double yellow 45 mph street and across that street is a large high school. As you can imagine, the noise floor is problematic. Being comfortable with self-measurement, I decided to forego the Indow provided measuring kit for faster turn around of the inserts. I had my own precise laser measurement tool (Bosch GLM 50C) and used that to measure the dimensions down to fractions of an inch (within 32nds). I submitted those dimensions to the measuring portal website link provided by Indow and 3 weeks later, UPS delivers 2 well packaged and protected window inserts. Having no experience with installation, it took me a few times to get the corners snug and seated properly, but with the help of their Youtube videos, I was able to figure it out. Fitment was perfect as the silicone edges on the insert allow for some give. The results were better than expected. Significant reduction in high frequency noise coming from the passing cars and high school activities. After having these inserts for a few months now, I have a much more consistent sleep schedule as Im not suddenly jolted awake by a loud motorcycle passing by at 3 in the morning. I am ordering another to cover the bathroom window adjacent to the master bedroom, which is also facing the same street. Thanks Indow!!

The inserts I purchased for my office with windows facing a busy street far exceeded my expectations. Previously I could easily hear every single vehicle driving by, and now even city buses are silent. I was hesitant to purchase the inserts because we live in a newer house with nice double pane windows, but the inserts made a huge improvement. They also provided additional thermal insulation, so I can now wear flip-flops all year long while working from home! The company was easy to work with from first consultation, measurement, and shipping (I was able to pick up from the factory, and even that was simple).

Brandon Dau (sales consultant) was always responsible and helpful. The inserts are fitted perfectly and work well. I will likely order them for my basement rec room which faces a busy street too---but I wanted to at least give them a shot first before making an all-in investment. Overall, satisfied customer!

Fantastic customer service. Good company, good people there in Portland. The quality of the product was off the charts. Unfortunately for us though, the off gassing of the product was an issue. Were hoping after cleaning and some time the smells dissipate.When confined to the laundry room the smell is so bad it burns my eyes and causes migraines. I cant imagine any amount of cleaning will help this though we will try. Heres to hoping I dont get yet another migraine.

We bought 2 to see how they would work in bedrooms prior to ordering 3 more for our front room. The second morning after install my wife said she slept deeply for the first time in a couple years.She equated her sleep to being exhausted from a busy work routine. I mentioned that it was a result of the INSERTS, that she was not subconsciously experiencing the traffic at night, and that her brain could Shut down and rest, she agreed! The next night I told her to focus on the QUIET in the room before she fell asleep, she did and agreed on the performance of your product.Being in the construction industry 30 years I looked diligently for sound control products as this research is not new to me. Indows product was the most progressive product we found. They also seemed to have a company culture that I liked.Every step of the process someone from Indow was in touch with us to see how things were proceeding. Surprisingly we received an email from the CEO asking our opinion also. We will be ordering 3 more. They suite our needs to the letter.

These windows WORK! Our noise level is next to nothing after ordering windows for a bedroom next to a noisy road. Good people to work with as well.

Love the window inserts I got from indow. I measured noise level in my bedroom that’s facing the street - it would be in the 40-50 dB range. After installing the window inserts, it’s gone down to 30-35 dB range which is ideal for sleeping environment. That room is now as quiet as the one that’s not facing the street.Their customer service was also fantastic. When I had some trouble early on, they were patient with me and helped me through the process. It took me more than 1 year to finally put in the order but it ended up paying off in the end.

We LOVE our Indow Windows! Weve had them for six months and the experience is great. We were able to improve comfort, sound reduction, reduce heat loss all the while preserving several large, old windows with ornamental leaded panes we have in our 1918 house. Plus, we Indowed other smaller windows to reduce heat loss and not have to go through the expense of window replacement. We installed them ourselves and the benefit was immediate. We were also amazed how good they look. They really disappear into the window frame. My only advice is to pay close attention to measuring. They provide a great tool set to do the measuring and ours fit perfectly! The Indow people were supportive and web tools were great to work with.

My bedrooms and work-from-home office are all on the “noisy” side of the house, so I’d get a poor night’s sleep and then go to work having to listen to even more distracting traffic. One night I was at my wit’s end with having to have pink noise machines constantly going to block out the sound and, while online researching ways to cut down interior noise, I found a mention of Indow windows. I filled out the form to receive more info and set about researching window inserts. Reviews of Indow inserts from non-affiliated sites impressed me and I also watched several of their videos on how the inserts are made and how to install them myself.The next day I had an email from Brandon in customer service inviting me to set up an appointment to chat with him about what I was looking for and what my expectations for inserts were. Brandon is a treat to interact with! He’s friendly and professional and answered all of my questions with no hesitation or having to put me on hold to find an answer. This gave me a lot of confidence in both the company and the product.After deciding to order some inserts I was shipped a really neat laser device that measured the windows for which I was ordering inserts to within a 16th of an inch. I must say it was sort of fun to use. They do want it back, though, unfortunately!My inserts arrived on time and very well packaged. I’m in Tennessee and they arrived from Oregon with no damage to the inserts even though the shipping cartons had signs of their long journey across most of the country. The day before the inserts arrived I moved the furniture out of the way of all five of my windows that were receiving inserts, and I was ready!Installing the inserts is a breeze. They press into place inside the window frame snugly, which helps to banish noise. I placed the acoustic versions in the bedrooms and in the office I used the standard grade thickness. The standard thickness is doing a great job of blocking traffic noise in my office.The acoustic thickness inserts in the bedrooms are as if I had a volume knob and turned the traffic noise from a nine down to two. I truly can barely hear traffic noise at all now in those rooms unless there’s a commercial truck or a motorcycle going past, and even then the sound is very much less noticeable than it was before the inserts. I no longer have to have a noise machine on my headboard in order to fall asleep and stay that way.Indow windows have significantly improved my quality of life.

Ive got nothing but good things to say about Indow from start to finish. We live in a vacation rental neighborhood in Florida, so every week theres a new family of vacationers having a huge party right next door to us. After a particularly noisy week, we decided we had had enough. My boyfriend found Indow and after doing some research, decided to invest in a window insert for our bedroom.My boyfriend spoke with Martin, who is Indows consultant. He was sent a kit to measure our window, and sent the measurements and kit back to Indow to give them the info theyd need to design our insert. After that and a down payment it took about a month for our Indow to arrive. Once it did we followed the directions carefully, making sure to leave several inches of space between the window and the Indow. This is critical if you want the Indow to work properly, it creates an air pocket and that distance is what muffles sound. I went outside to test the Indow by playing music loudly through a speaker. It worked! Now we hardly notice if theres a party going on next door :)Since that worked out so well I decided to surprise my boyfriend with an additional Indow for his music studio. Martin was extremely helpful in coordinating the surprise. I thought I ordered far enough in advance for the Indow to show up within a few days of my boyfriends birthday, but the resurgence of covid in the US meant more shipping delays. Disappointed that the gift would not arrive on time, I messaged Indow asking if I could at least get a tracking number to include in my boyfriends card.To my surprise and delight, they not only sent the tracking number, but also a video in which members of the Indow team wished him a happy birthday! They also sent a little placeholder gift, which was truly unnecessary and truly above and beyond. This is a company staffed with people who truly do care. They not only made us a very useful, quality product; they also took the time to acknowledge and participate in the special moment I was trying to create for the person I love.I would highly recommend Indows products to anyone looking to reduce noise coming into their homes. Every step of the process was easy, and the end product was absolutely worth the wait.

Excellent service, I was looking for a cheaper way to insulate and soundproof some odd shaped custom windows I had and this was an excellent option to do that and a lot cheaper than havingthe windows replaced. I am definitely happy with them and I was surprised how quick I received them after I measured for them. I love my Indow! A new neighbor moved in next door with several large dogs who are left outside and bark at all hours. I was woken up several times a night. I found a solution. Since I installed my Indow, I have been sleeping through the night with no earplugs. This is a great product! Martin was so helpful and made the process painless. I highly recommend Indow!

I suffered for years from the industrial noise outside our bedroom window. I was skeptical that the insert would really work, and concerned about the price, but as soon as we put the indow insert in I noticed a HUGE difference in the sound getting through. It is SO worth it! I can finally enjoy being in my bedroom! And, the customer service is excellent!

I purchased inserts of the highest level/thickness/acoustic Commercial grade and they blocked a little bit of the vehicle traffic noise. I do not recommend these Indow window inserts. For example: we have to play a sound machine still in that room, and we can still hear the traffic over the sound machine THROUGH the INDOW Window Inserts. We had an acoustics professional come for a consult and since they are unbiased trying to sell something to us, after noise decibel readings the we just need to replace 2 windows. We shouldve used the THOUSANDS of dollars for these Indow Window inserts to just replace our 2 windows to better thicker rated quality.Also the YouTube videos are also false advertising and misleading. We were told by company that the Youtube video is for dramatic cinematic marketing only and not actual results. I contacted company and since they are custom, it is a complete waste of money. Spread the word to help others not make the same mistake.

I was unable to sleep through the night in the master bedroom of my home due to street noise. I have two fairly large windows in the bedroom. I was impressed with the look of the inserts - unless you look closely you cant tell there is anything other than a window. And my bedroom is much more quiet now - I could tell a big difference immediately. Now I am able to reclaim my master bedroom and get a good nights sleep!

These inserts have helped very much with our super drafty old windows, and the noise reduction is very noticeable. That said, as a cheaper replacement for getting new windows, I wish (and wouldve thought) that these inserts would be a much lower percentage of what new windows would cost for what you actually get in this product by comparison. But I cant complain with the result!

I ultimately bought 3 custom Indow acoustic grade window inserts for the new bedroom addition on my house. The highway sound that I was hearing is much less noticeable now, and I can sleep through the night. They fit perfectly in the windows, thanks to their nifty laser measuring system. Im very happy with these sound insulating inserts.

I have equipped two rooms with Indows Sleep panels,with exceptional results. The Indows team was responsive and accommodating, and I look forward to working with them again.

I love my Indow windows. My house is much quieter and warmer this winter. i swore I was done putting up those plastic sheets with the blow dryer, but I have so many windows in my 1920s craftsman that all new windows was out of the budget. Indoors were the perfect fix. The technician that they sent out to the house was super nice and helpful. I even get a tax credit on my investment. Thanks Indow!

In 2011 we had sixteen circa 1922 leaky double hung windows outfitted with Indow Window inserts. Couldnt be happier.We had remodeled our home in 2008. The new upstairs windows are Marvin double pane windows. The contrast in comfort between the downstairs with its drafty windows and the upstairs with the Marvins made our main floor almost unlivable in the winter. So, rather than tear out and replace our beautiful old windows at an exorbitant cost, we got Indow Windows.Now our main floor is as draft-free as the upstairs and the conversations of the many walkers passing our corner lot home have been muted as well.Our Indow Windows are some of the first they installed and we had one issue where a couple of them were popping out a bit and venting when it would get real windy. They sent someone out and added a spacer below the inserts that resolved this issue.I was concerned that they would look bad. They are pretty much invisible unless you know to look for them.Very pleased.

What a difference! Living in cold, wintry Vermont, I used Indow Windows in a bathroom. I expected it to make a difference. What I didnt expect was that Id feel it IMMEDIATELY. Literally, within seconds. The insert virtually stopped any draft through my 100-year old double hung window. And the inside of the insert is noticeably warmer than the glass on the original window. Bottom line--the room was instantly more comfortable. (And it doesnt hurt that Ill save some money on my gas bill, too!)

Ive had the Indow Window inserts in our kitchen windows for quite a few years now and they have made a big difference. I love the way the have transformed the room and have really worked to make the whole house less drafty and more comfortable. We not only saved money on not having to replace good looking, old original windows but also saved heating and cooling costs. I often recommend these to friends and neighbors. The other nice thing is no one ever notices they are there when they come over. They blend in nicely with the original trim work. Highly recommended.

I installed Indow Windows in my 1964 built home to compensate for some very large, very drafty single pane windows. Replacement windows were simply way too expensive. We had always problems with ice building up in the winter with the meltwater then rotting out the sills. The year we put in the Indow Windows there was no ice at all. The rooms were warmer too and frankly we forgot they were even there -- thats how well they fit into the look of the home and the existing window frames. A great product that totally delivered on its promise!

They do keep the house warm...unfortunately, they fall down a lot...and break things. Most definitely NOT safe for pets and kids. Theyve crashed on some pretty nice items in my house and even chipped up my new custom made dining table.

I was one of the very first Indow Window customers, and have been so grateful to have them during the cold winters shielding the original windows of my pre-war Northwest Portland condominium. They do double duty, effectively muffling the loud garbage trucks that rumble through the neighborhood every morning. I take them out every year when spring comes. What a difference! We are a 9 room bed and breakfast located in an 1881 built Victorian home. It has all its original windows with generic triple track storm windows added. We struggled with high heating bills, and heavy guest room drapes that would sway when it was windy. After researching a number of weatherizing ideas, we decided to make the investment in Indows. We needed 43 in total, and some are quite large.It has been the right thing for us. The drafts that guests complained of are gone, and there has been a noticeable difference in how much better the house maintains its temperature during the winter months. As an extra benefit to us, the sound blocking abilities of the Indows panels have made the guest rooms notably quieter as well. This has certainly been a benefit to our guests comfort, particularly in the rooms that face the main street. A worthy investment since we can use for them for years

This is a quality company with quality people. A dirt road was paved, behind our house, turning it into the “Indy 500” racetrack by most drivers, motorcyclists, contractor vehicles, gravel and cement trucks. It made our quiet, enjoyable home into a sound distraction. After much research of all options, I decided to order Indow windows. My first contact was with Shane Miller. He had exceptional knowledge of the windows and answered 5+ e-mails/phone calls with several questions in each one. Best of all, he answered them very promptly. He is personable, trustworthy, very enjoyable and shows interest in every potential customers, remembering what they said in previous conversations. That is rare. The next contact was with Eli Nicholson. He answered several emails and called to help with the portal window to record window measurements and to place the order. It was simple and easy to do. He was fun to talk with, as well. He is a river rafter. They both believe in the product and the difference it is making to solve the specific problems of customers. Our 3 windows were 69-93”L and 45-51”H. They arrived in a wooden crate, well-protected, and were clear as glass. The noise reduction from Indow Windows installation made a significant difference. We barely hear normal cars and SUV’s or newer pickups. They are a whisper. Pickups without mufflers, Harleys, construction trucks noise is decreased by 50% or more, making their sounds lower in pitch and muffled. That makes life good again! There are 3 smaller windows that we will order in the near future, near the big Indow windows installed I know that will further reduce the noise. No window replacement could have reduced the noise level at the same cost as Indow Windows. I can tell they will help with energy efficiency. The air cannot get past them with the secure seal. If you order Indow Windows, you will be well-satisfied. I will end this as I began it — this is a quality company with quality people.

Good afternoon Richard.. people are too often quick to criticize and not praise.Joan and I wanted you to know that we are totally and completely satisfied with your Indow inserts.When you told us that the soundproofing would improve over time as the gaskets conformed to the shape of the wall, we didnt doubt you.. but after a couple of months these inserts are working perfectly.When the kids across the street are playing outside including dribbling a basketball, there is no sound whatsoever that enters the house!You were not our low bidder by any means, but I felt your product had the best opportunity to do the job.

My wife and I live in New York City, and are both poor sleepers. The stress of the noise and light pollution have dogged us since we moved up here from a decidedly more bucolic home in South Carolina. I worked with Ryan at Indow to have two acoustic inserts made for our bedroom windows, which are leftover single pane jobs of 80s vintage facing a Manhattan street. The difference is like night and day. Smaller high pitched noises from the street have been eliminated entirely, and even the municipal garbage trucks jolting thunderously over speed humps at 4am are less jarring. Visually, you cant really tell the insert is there until you physically walk up to the window: its pretty much invisible and doesnt obstruct any sunlight at all. Construction is solid, shipping/packaging was incredibly safe and careful, and installation was a breeze. Thanks!

We live in a converted loft on a very busy intersection in the downtown Phoenix area (next to a busy restaurant!) and the noise has been a big issue. We looked into purchasing triple pane windows, but it was impossible to match the original windows and the cost was at minimum $12,000. We would have been willing to pay that amount, but the window salesperson could not promise more than a 20% reduction in the noise. I found the Indows website after searching the web for soundproofing ideas and felt very lucky to have a local dealer. Our local dealer, Karl Darden, was outstanding! He was prompt, professional, and courteous. He told us exactly what we could expect from the sound-blocking inserts, the science behind the product, and gave us an accurate quote. We felt very confident that he wasnt just being a salesman, he was truly invested in this product. The entire process from start to finish was seamless, and Karl saved us an extra $300 on shipping by placing our order in conjunction with another customer.The inserts have been everything Karl promised and more! If I had to put a value on the amount of sound blocking- I would say 40-50% less noise is entering our home. It has been a sleep-saver for me! Our total investment for the Indows was approximately $3000 and the value we get from them exceeds what we spent. I highly recommend this product and the local Phoenix rep at Super Green Solutions.
