Beware just cuz they say discount doesnt mean they are I got the same door cheaper that I wanted. but they are very helpful. Just do your homework before buying!

They really try to deliver good service but they are so busy the wait time for your order is too long. I am waiting 2 and a half months for my new front door. Thats too long. The staff is as friendly and sincere as any I have found at any other business.

I had just installed my front door that I purchased form a big box store and I didnt know most new doors are made for 2x4 walls but most homes now have 2x6 walls so another trip to the big box store to get a extension jamb. My back door also needed to be replaced but this time I went here and they had the jamb for a 2x6 wall already set with the door and the price was unbeatable. What made it an even better experience was Conner. Conner was very nice and extremely helpful. This is my first time here but will not be the last. Thanks for the amazing door and service.

Raymond provides great service . He Went to a lot of effort to find the exact sized window for a project I was working. He took the time to show me how the window was constructed so I could customize it for my application. Lee the owner also assisted with keeping the purchase simple the place was so busy withe customers he steeped in to handle the payment details. And there prices are a bargain.

Whe I called, I was quoted a price. When I called back to place the order, I was told it was $100 more. Big old Bait and Switch. I am livid that they have these kinds of ethics. What a disappointment.

I had a wonderful experience all around working with Mitchell at Discount Windows to get Milgard windows ordered for our house addition. I had already been to one showroom and spoke with two other suppliers and was pretty frustrated with the lack of guidance for window selection. Then I stumbled on Discount Windows. From my fist phone call I was able to get guidance on choosing our windows and had a quote emailed to me the same day (which came in lower than the other quotes I had received from other suppliers for the same windows). From our initial quote, I ended up making several changes, and spent considerable time working through the design of a large patio door and a french door which required a drawing from engineering to make a custom grill design to match windows to door. Mitchell was unwaveringly helpful and friendly in all our interactions. Because of his willingness to work through the options and details so thoroughly, I walked away even more excited about our window design than I was when I made the first call. I cant wait to see them in our home!I would highly recommend Discount Windows for anyone looking to order windows for a home project!

We ordered two custom sets of French doors. The manufacturer dropped the ball on the completeness of the order but Discount Windows and Doors stepped up to make it right and even delivered the missing parts.

We had some very specific design ideas for our replacement vinyl windows for our vintage home. These guys were excellent they showed great professionalism and the windows arrived on time and they were exactly right beautiful windows and we noticed a significant increase in efficiency for both warmth and cooling. I now understand why theres a huge now hiring sign outside. Worst salesman Ive ever encountered. All he could do is tell me what he couldnt do. They wanted $300 more for the same door I can buy at Lowes for $499.

I purchased five windows and three doors for about 35 percent less than retail AND I picked up the parts same day instead of waiting three weeks. All parts were new except the large picture window, which was dirty because it was outside for a year. So, I saved 800 dollars and had to clean one picture window. Not bad. Thanks Discount Windows.

Ive called and left messages, completed their on-line contact form twice, and no one ever email or calls to follow up on a quote request. If their installation customer service is as poor as their initial contact service, dont bother! I really wonder why they waste their time advertising.

I have been shopping for new windows and a door. I have been working with Home Depot and some other big chain stores. Despite spending thousands of dollars in there store over the course of our remodel the don’t know your name and treat you like cattle. The moment I walked in to discount windows Matt O’Donnell made me feel welcomed and valued. They even prioritize setting a custom door for my project so I would have it in two days not three weeks like Home Depot. Dont go if your colored, didnt help us as i stood there waiting for help, i asked about sizes of some doors in the back and they answered with an attitude and never stood up to help. Then 2 white males came in and got help as soon as they walked in.

Great help and prices

I walked in not knowing what I was doing. And Mitchell helped me find a window at an amazingly great price within 12 minutes looking at my photographs with the measuring tape from home. I was out of there with a brand new window! He did a fantastic job helping me with this and with a future project for doors!

Price was alright but the service absolutely sucked, wasnt really willing to help us out with our project, they both were to busy watching YouTube and playing on there phones, infact the one was quite rude to me and my girlfriend, and another couple came, and got the same treatment but they turned around and left, the gentleman wouldnt even get off his butt to show us anything... So as for the price it was good as far as the service it would be a -10 Stars....

This place is fantastic! Saved me so much money, and the staff folks are super helpful. Matt ODonnell went above and beyond to assist us in tying down all the windows we had purchased, out in the sweltering heat. They have good stuff here. You might have to pick through some things and if you absolutely have to have a specific brand and window type they may not have it stock but they will order it for you. Highly recommend.

We were growing black mold and had to replace 10 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. Saved a TON of money compared to what Home Depot quoted me and they were really cool dudes and easy to work with.Our house is much quieter and holds heat/cool better and were rid of the mold.

Other guys I met there when I picked up my windows were personable and knowledgeable as well. They have an array of doors and base material as well. Wonderful experience. I replaced 9 windows in my house myself. Walked into Discount Windows and explained what I wanted to do. I already had my rough opening measurements, so they gave me a quote. I went home and triple checked my measurements. Made a final invoice with them and had the windows to pick up in three weeks. All windows are now installed and look great! Great quality at a Great Price!

I called them 3 times about some closet doors and 3 times I was promised a call back and or email. I guess Ill go buy my 5 closet doors and 5 interior doors elsewhere. Waste of time. Update: I spent 1200$ on 2 closet doors and 5 interior doors with 3 closet doors to go at a competitors store, since they werent interested in selling me anything.

Worst customer service ever! We walked in looking for French doors. The guy told us you have to order on line and just stared at me and my husband. Finally said you can look at catalogs over there as he points. He and the other employee never looked up from their cell phones to ask if we had any questions. Little did they know we were ready to purchase.

I would give this place 1100 stars if I could, one for every dollar they saved me. The staff is that perfect balance of incredibly helpful but not too pushy and from what I can tell just an all around wonderful group of people. Matt O. was able to help me snag a window for my garage that fit into the previous owners oddly shaped frame and I bought a beautiful craftsman door for just $379. The same door was over $1000 at other big box retailers. I will be spreading the word about discount windows and the next time I need a window or door it will certainly be my first stop. Thank guys!

Terrible customer service. Orders I made on doors were delayed over and over, dragging out a remodeling project for weeks at a time. Do not order anything through this company. They may be good for buying directly what they have on their floor, but if you need to make a return or question warranty, they seem to have no real working system in place to help. They continually lost the paperwork of purchases myself and my company made through them since April of this year. I had to work with several members of the team, so many that I was unsure if they even communicated internally regarding accounts. Managers and staff have changed and/or been fired, for reasons that are unclear and concerning. If you do decide to go with this company, get a hard copy of all purchases, do NOT let them send you orders via email. They will lose their own paperwork and not be able to find the history of your purchases. I have never worked with a company that was so poor at keeping their books and customer account history. I will never work with them again. Too much of a headache.

I Called on Sunday looking for a window, he was very rude. I asked if you stock a specific size. His exact response was “why would I stock it?” I will not be driving over to buy at this store.

Horrible customer service. The worst Ive been treated. My wife and I came in and saw a window we were interested in buying and tried to make an inquiry. We looked around quickly since it was close to closing time. Then I asked a tall gentleman about price, but he said it was closing time. I tried to ask again, but he repeated it was closing time, walked me to the door and closed it behind me. (it was 4:55, and they close at 5). Basically I was kicked out before it was even time to close. Clearly, he wasnt interested in making a sale. Then he quickly jumped in the car and left. It was 4:56. I am really disappointed, considering that we just bought 2 wood windows and a 4x4 Velux skylight from them recently and wanted to continue doing business with them since we have a remodel job we are dealing with.

Wow. Customer service is rare in this city and I need to leave a review to mention how amazing Matt was. I was assisted by Matt at the discount windows location in Portland. He was extremely helpful and able to outfit my entire house renovation with windows as well as help me load them in my truck and get me on my way in less than two hours. Have had nothing but problems with this company in terms of ordering doors. The person we initially worked with had to be fired and our paperwork was lost when that person left the company. For some reason, it was always a problem to find our account and orders. Managers and staff have changed hands a number of times in the last few months. Orders were delayed time and time again, with little to no paper trail of orders changing. I was originally using them to remodel a friends house, as Im a contractor/designer in Portland. If you are trying to just purchase something they already have on the floor, then perhaps this might be fine, just hope you never have an issue with warranty or something that will require a return. If you need to order something through them that they do not already have in stock, do not bother with them. It will be a huge mistake and a waste of your time. Customer service is absolutely terrible. They seem to have no real working system in place. I will never work with this company again.

I purchased a very nice Milgard door from this place (with discount in their name). When I got it home and installed I discovered the keys that came with the door do not work with the lock. Now I can’t secure my property. Expecting them to take initiative on this I called to see what they would do to help. Instead they told me because it’s a discounted door (again, in their name) I needed to take it to Home Depot to have it re-keyed, or there would be a 20% restocking fee if I returned it.No help what so ever. I really like the door so I’m just going to eat it, but I find this service to be poor at best. I suppose that is what you get from a place with discount in the name.

There is a lot more to Discount Windows than the selection you see driving by! Id driven past for more than 20 years before stopping at the suggestion of a contractor during a remodel when we were looking to replace the front door. We walked in expecting to get a door with a several panes of glass. Our person Matt patiently heard our silly story of loving the way the house looked when the contractors had removed the entire front (due to dry rot), explored possibilities with us and we ended up with a magnificent, 12 foot Millgard sliding glass FRONT DOOR! We didnt even know sliding doors took keys. They do, and they have amazingly secure locking systems as well. I had no idea they did custom orders! We have been back recently to get a new back door and a kitchen window. I had searched Home Depot, etc. thinking it would be easier and cheaper just to buy something off the shelf, but once again, thanks to Discount Windows we have two fabulous custom pieces designed to fit the space we have and the Millgard casement window was CHEAPER than a similar (and not perfectly sized) window at Home Depot.

Had the odd sized windows I needed!

Cheap windows which is nice. But Ive been told they would get deliveries and when I show up they say they never got them and try again the next day. Been there three times now and the last two times they somehow cant find or havent gotten the windows yet. Finally I was told you can pre-purchase them and they will put them on hold.

I stopped in here for prices on some doors and windows. You simply cant go wrong by purchasing your materials here. The prices beat everyone.

Ordered glass to repair a broken window, it fit and I am happy. I did not get a call when it came in so I stopped by after the three weeks they said it would take passed and there it was, a bit dusty looking like it had been there a while. Kinda wish they had let me know but grateful to have it done with.

Well from the minute I pulled in no it was like everybody was busy doing zero not a hello can I help you nothing I guess you get discounted customer service aswell asdoors and windows much like everything else you kind of get what you pay for..

I called on the phone about some clay colored windows and they said all they had was white (prob my fault for giving 3x4 as dims) but I had driven by the place before and seen tons of clay colored windows in the yard. I was building a shop and didn’t care too much about size so ended up with 3x5 I think.I told Matt what I was building and he showed me around the place and helped pick out 5 clay colored Milgard windows that was exactly what I was looking for! Then I noticed they had doors too! Perfect! They had the exact exterior door I was looking for, and I walked out for sub $600 price, which was spot-on with my budget was.Thanks guys!

My contractor called to see if they had a specific window size. He was told yes, it was in overstock, and quoted a price. I called the next day to confirm; not only did they deny they had that size, but I was told several times to have my contractor call them to give them specific measurements, which I had been giving to them, and pointed it out. That was after I had been rudely schooled on how windows were sized, and which I knew was wrong. I do not reward bad behavior and took my business elsewhere, for less. Buyer beware.
