This place is the absolute best. I go out of my way to go there whenever Im near Portland. Ive visited dozens of times and been treated with care and professionalism every single time.

Update: Its been just over a week and I am taking away one star. The experience was great, but my gel nails have already started peeling off. Shellac should last longer than a week. Also, upon closer inspection, my cuticles on my hands were not well taken care of and they didnt wrap the tips with polish. So more like a 3 and a half but Im rounding up because the message was outstanding.Friendly and knowledgeable ladies who not only did my nails exactly as I wanted them, but also have me the best shoulder and neck massage of my life! Im a teacher, so I frequently go home with back pain. Not today! Today Im going home with beautiful nails and a pain free back. And it didnt break my bank either. Super reasonable prices. I will be going back soon!!!

Fabulous Service and Safety Protocols! Great Massage and mani/pedi service as usual ( been going there for many years!) I felt perfectly safe with COVID safety updates (extra cleaning, masks for all, gloves, large shields and even hand washing for clients upon entry) They limit the amount of clients in the space to provide for social distancing by taking reservations. I hope they survive as they are doing all the right things and have the best foot and arm massage in town! Very relaxing.

My manicurist is such an amazing nail artist! Very professional and made my nails looks absolutely beautiful! The nails speak for themselves, everyone is so friendly and nice. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get a AMAZING nail artist.

Ive already recommended two of my friends and they have enjoyed their experiences there. I continue to go with a friend every couple months as a fun treat/hangout for us. The staff, they were detailed, thorough, gentle and communicated well with getting our approvals of the color, shape etc. I think we will request them when we go again.

The service here was super inconsistent. My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday. They started on her 10 minutes before me and finished on her 25 minutes after they finished with me. We got the same services except she did polish. I got to watch her enjoy a extensive chair massage while my estheticians were eating, online shopping, and napping. Yes one had enough time to nap! Too many other salons to step foot in here again.

The first time I had a girl do my nails and they were very good. and the massage that they gave me very good. Then I recommend the place to some friends. but the second, third and even fourth time I tried. The older lady with short hair did not do a good nail finish. the massage was not good and all my nails were horrible. I also yesterday I went there and older lady with glasses. she made my nails super ugly ... they should select their workers. What a shame that my friends had experience with the same women and their nails were very ugly. and my friends tell me that she go first and this woman attend to others who arrived after her. no good!

Whatever service you get, you’ll walk away feeling great. I haven’t been to a nail salon that offers complimentary back/neck massages with a manicure before. The ladies who work here are incredibly nice too. I just wish my shellac nails (which last almost two weeks if I get them done at other places in town) would hold up more than two days....

I should have listened to the many reviews warning me about this place. I had an appointment, to which they rushed my pedicure as if they had squeezed me in.I was going to have a manicure but after the nail technician cut my toe cuticle multiple times, (to which there was blood) I decided not tooI will not be back and I would advise you to do yourself a favor and learn from me.And to top it off, within an hour, my daughters polish had peeled.There are other salons in the neighborhood that are clean, they sterilize their tools and do not share nail files between customers as this place does.

This is the first salon I have been to where they dont give you a full on pedicure. I went in mainly to have my feet scrubbed of the dead skin but what I recieved was nail paint and a leg massage. They also asked if I brought my own nile file. Personally I wouldnt be going to a salon if I had all the tools myself. This was a strange experience. Cheap but not worth it if you can paint your own nails.

I live in SE, but this is the only nail salon I go to. They are skilled and thorough, and every manicure comes with a neck massage. Tip well, these ladies deserve it!

I have gone twice... wont go back. I first went for a pedicure for a friends birthday. The pedicure was rough and felt rushed. They were also weird about a tip, asking us to pay cash instead of credit cards. If they didnt want to accept credit cards, then dont and make customers aware up front.A year later (this March) I went again for a manicure... again it felt rushed and was very rough. My cuticles hurt for days.The people are over all very nice, but the service was just okay. Its inexpensive, but even in a pinch I wont be going back.

Walked into this place with my daughter. It smelled terrible and was very stuffy. As we were choosing our nail polish color we looked around. The place is mess and felt dirty. We said we had an emergency and walked out. Two stars only because we didnt even get a service.

I just read the reviews. I have been going a long time when I could not get into my regular place (Lilo on BHH). I think the reason for the reviews being so varied is that the women are quite different. There is one rude technician and one or two do not like to give you change in dollar bills. The manicure is 15 and if you give them a 20 SOME will keep it. If you ask for change they might bring you a 5.00. I come with the tip I plan to give and make sure I have some dollar bills, but I do tip a little more. Find the technician you like. Pinky is amazing, creative, young and very cool with fantastic English. Tracy is super nice and very professional- her massages are fantastic. Pinkys mother is there too and very gentle. I like most of them. Michelle is the owner and seems brusque, but is actually quite nice. The language barrier can create bad impression sometimes when they intend to be friendly. I think they are clean enough. I have never had a problem. You have to ask them not to do the pounding with the massage unless you like it. I like going there and they are very nice to me. You almost have to become a regular to appreciate it, but it is worth it.

I had a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow waxing done at The Nail Place today, everything looks great! I was blown away by the quality and length of the massage here, they arent kidding around. A week of stress was wiped away.

This is the best place in town to get a good mani pedi but it is the best place for excellent service and unbeatable massages. These girls work so hard and sometimes will even offer to stay late to accommodate awkward schedules...granted i compensate well but it is sooo worth it!

I went to the salon several times over the past year or two. I like the massage andthe price was cheap. On one visit there was a State Inspector from the Health Department there. It seems there had been a complaint about their sanitation practices.They are required to clean the drain trap after each use and he asked them to show him a drain, they had a hard time even finding a screw driver to open it. I have never seen them clean the drains. Also once use of a tub is done they are to let it air dry with sanitizer for 5 minutes and they dont to that either. This did not stop me from going there I just changed to being the first appointment of the day!
