Never a bad experience and they are extremely talented.

I’ve been once at this place before and had relatively good service, but my coworker made the appointment for me so I didn’t know if they have been doing this for a while, but they have a terrible online appointment system. When you go online, they don’t let you make an appointment but instead it’s a “request”. They make you enter all your personal information and credit card info, including billing info in detail, to then show you a message that says “we will contact you to confirm your appointment”. But guess what? They do NOT contact you back if they’re busy and don’t have a spot available. They made me enter all my personal info to then not even bother or have the decency to let me know they couldn’t give me an appointment. It occurred to me to call before leaving my house to find out I didn’t have an appointment. But now they even know where I live and have my bank info. Just VERY UNETHICAL.

This is now my favorite nail salon ever! I called and spoke to the owner Danny to see if anything could be done to save my nails after another salon ruined them. After a lengthy phone consult, he made sure I could come in that same day to look at my nails and see if there was anything to be done. He was so reassuring and hopeful that I was almost in tears of relief when he and another technician evaluated them and decided that there was still enough strength in my nails to allow some repair and regrowth using the proper technique for the dipping powder. That was in December and my nails now look great! They are strong and growing out beautifully.The technique the salon uses for the dipping powder is a multi step process and it is vital all those steps be followed to ensure the color lasts but more importantly the nail itself is strengthened from the process.The salon is super safety conscious-temperature taken, covid questionnaire, hand washing and masks required. They have barriers between clients. They use bagged and sanitized tools. No reuse of files or buffers allowed and they won’t use private items so there is no cross contamination happening.The salon is in a newer building and there is parking available which is good because it would be almost impossible to get street parking!This is a must visit place and I cannot recommend it highly enough!My picture is of the color 3 weeks after it was done and the nails are all still in almost pristine condition. You can see the healthy grow out and the reason I’ll go get a color change is due to the grow out, not failure of the color itself. Please excuse the nasty cuticles!! I’m renovating a house and this mail color has survived intact but my cuticles haven’t!

Ive been here a couple times for a manicure with dipping powder, every time it turns out perfect! Its very clean, especially their tools so I feel comfortable about not getting an infection like other nail salons.They are all very nice and try to do exactly what you want. Ive found photos on Pinterest of nails that I like, they always try to be accommodating.

Terrible customer service. They called to confirm my appointment and i was running a few minutes late. They let me know their 15 min late policy and I said I understood if I was more than 15 min late I might not be able to be sat. Got there 11 minutes after my scheduled appointment and they refused to see me because I was late. The man tried to lie and say he said he would see if he could fit me in but that wasnt the case. After arguing for a couple minutes I showed him my phone and that I was in fact still within the 15 min window and he said yes by only 1 minute! So he agreed I was still within the window and still wouldnt see me. Never coming back and I live across the street and get regular gel manicures. I really value good customer service and being a regular and this place isnt that.

This place is very clean and nice. I lived in the building and today was my first visit. I called and Danny was so nice and knowledgeable to help me from wanting a full set to a dipping powder. The only reason I wasn’t happy was they overbooked and making me wait too long that I have to asked Danny “Are you going to do my nails?” I was about to leave, but Danny really talked me into staying. I’ll give it a tried again on my dipping powder and see if the situation the same then I’ll adjust my review.I just get everything figured out with Danny and he been so kind. He are well aware of the situation and accommodating that me make feel like it’s worthy.

Favorite place for a mani pedi in Portland. The deluxe pedi is worth the few extra dollars for the paraffin wax and hot stone massage. My shellac/no chip nails usually last 3 weeks before chipping.

I love this place! Best nail spa in Portland and I’ve been to a lot. My nails always come out beautiful and they always do the designs and colors to spot on what I ask for or describe.

I really never write reviews in general but for this place I decided too leave one. This Nail salon is great (Marilyn) who was my nail tech did such phenomenal job she took her time paid attention to detail and made sure I was satisfied and content. It was a pleasant time and they are very efficient and clean. They see you more then just another person that walks in they genuinely want build a reppore and meet your needs. They only have high expectation for everyone and Ill definitely be returning back. Im from New York visiting and its hard to please me but they did a great Job. My husband and I are on vacation here in Portland, one of our traditions on vacations is to visit spas/get pedicures done. This salon is just blocks from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. The staff were AMAZING! Super friendly, extremely cautious of COVID-19 procedures to keep everyone safe, etc. They made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. The pedicure was hands down one of the best weve ever had. We chose to go with the Jelly Pedicure, which was priced well in my opinion and worth every penny. The pedicure itself starts with your feet soaking in a jelly and then all the awesome benefits of a pedicure. The massage is usually our favorite part and just when you think theyre done massaging your legs and feet, they come back out with hot stone massage, hot towel massage, etc.. it was amazing! If we come back to Portland, I would return here in a heartbeat. I also would highly recommend to others who live in the area as well. If this salon was in my neighborhood in Minneapolis Id make it my go-to nail salon.

Went to this place with my husband last week and it was by far the best nail shop we went to. It was my husbands first time going in to a nail shop and getting his feet done and he enjoyed it very much. This place was nice, clean and the employees are really nice. The owner was super sweet (forgot his name) and he actually sat down and talked to me and my husband. The lady that did my nails was Tammy and man, she did a magnificent job on my nails. I showed her a pic of how I wanted my nails to be done and she did exactly that. My husband and I both left this place happy and satisfied 😃☺️. If you’re looking for a place to get your nails done I would highly recommend you go here. There shop is clean, they do wellness checks, they have nice employees and they have the best service.

First time here. Truly enjoyed myself! The place is beautiful and clean. They offer drinks and are very polite. My manicurist was careful and thoughtful. Definitely coming back. I dont see myself going anywhere else in the future!

Marilyn always takes care of me here. Its a cool little spot and they go the extra mile for their customers. Ive sat there many times after the shop closed and they didnt do a rush job like alot of places would. Its the only place i go now and i always try and make converts of my friends. 5 Stars for sure.

Linh did such a good job with my dip nails. I had dip done for the first time about 3 weeks ago at a different salon. The nails were very thick and the thumb nails were wide. I wasn’t sure I’d have it done again but decided to try one more time. I’m so glad I did! My nails look great! The salon is very clean and the staff is friendly. I was greeted right away and was given clear directions to wash my hands before filling out the quick paperwork while they took my temperature. They took all the safety precautions. I highly recommend New Life Nails!

This is THE place to get your nails done in Portland. Extremely high quality manicures, they fit your every accommodation. Theyll do any color or finish in any base you prefer (dip, gel, acrylic, etc.). Fiona and Danny are kind and welcoming hosts. I have brought many friends here and they always greet and host them just the same. As long as I live in Portland, this is where I will be bringing my business for my nails!

Update: I’ve been coming here for several years and can’t recommend it enough. The owner Danny is wonderful and if he’s available, he gives the best massages during a pedicure. The place is immaculately clean and takes Covid protocols seriously. I’m always pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail.I’ve been here twice and both times were wonderful. I like to get the Deluxe Pedicure. It includes callus removal, sugar scrub, mud mask, hot stone massage, and more for $45. The women who work there are lovely and attentive. They also offer you a glass of wine or bottle of water, which is nice. There is complimentary parking in the garage, always a huge plus in Portland!

This is an exceptional nail salon. I have been several times, and the owner has clearly put a lot of thought into everything: the technicians are very friendly and thorough, the work is high-quality, and the decor is bright and welcoming. I also appreciate that Ive not ever been pressured to purchase more expensive services.

Came without an appointment - they were very nice and fit me in but I dont think they had the time / should have. The technician seemed rushed and left before my nails were done drying under the UV, telling me to switch hands a couple times (but not for how long); I think I ended up with too much UV. My fingers on my right hand hurt quite a bit, which has never happened before. Im not sure if its from chemicals or too much UV, or too short of a cut, but they definitely didnt hurt and then starting hurting during and right after I left the salon, so Im a bit bummed. The decor was quite nice. And the color selection was great (although, I had to look through the colors with one hand while getting the other hand painted / dried, which was a bit difficult).Edit: my hand ended up hurting for multiple days, seemed to light a light uv burn unfortunately.

Overall perfection, couldn’t find any thing else to say when a salon with perfect in all aspects.

New Life Nails is a FABULOUS place! They do an awesome pedicure and are friendly, efficient, and good at their jobs! They also treat you royally! I HIGHLY recommend you have your next pedi there - and if you have time, try the (new) gel treatment; it is an amazing experience!

I have never had my nails break as much as I have since I started coming here. I went in today to try and get my nail fixed and with only two customers there they told me I had to come back tomorrow. I had called before and someone told me no problem and to come in anytime. Terrible customer service.

Nice people BUT: I got the Delux Pedi on 11/9 and woke up in the middle of the night with itchy legs and bumps all over. Their sanitation process for the hot stones sucks because this has never happened to me before. I will never go here again.

I work right down the street from this little shop and I pop by on my lunch break to get a quick mani or pedi. It’s so clean and the technicians are very very clean, precise and super sweet. I highly recommend. It’s never very busy which is crazy because Its really good! If you live in the area (or not) check it out.
