THE BEST SALON I have been to in so long! I’ve tried so many around the Pearl district and the ladies here are so incredibly sweet and such perfectionists! They took so much time with our nails and they turned out AMAZING! Plus a free mimosa...what more could you want!?!

I came to do my nails here before a wedding and didn’t love joe they came out. it took nearly 45m to do a normal manicure, and the tech kept messing up and redoing nails. it was very messy and the final product wasn’t fantastic. it was quite expensive too, 20$. very disapointed

UPDATE: I went back to Mimosa for the first time since I had my son and I just so blown away at the quality. I’ve been going to another nail shop in my neighborhood but the quality has been bad and the technique is mediocre. Today I seen Peter and he was amazing! The second picture is from today. He took such good care of my nails & handled my few request with excellence!!Previous review:I had been trying to find a decent nail salon for over a year and I finally stumbled on this place one weekend because they were open late. The quality of my shellac by my nail technician was amazing! Best I’ve ever had and even after I leave my nails are still in great condition. When I was pregnant they took such good care of me and was sensitive to my big belly. They also don’t have a lot of strict rules like other places I.e. cash only, bring your own nail file. The ladies are so sweet and the mimosas are good. I love this place and am a loyal customer.

I chose my color and my technician chose a higher quality and more opaque color for me. she was sweet and gentle and knew what she was doing. loved my experience.

My bridal party took me here for pedicures a couple of weeks ago and WOW! What amazing service! They knew it was a bachelorette event and had the whole place decorated! They put a wedding slide show on the TV screen, had fresh cut fruit, and of course mimosas! Not only was the service top notch, my toes still look great! Two weeks and not a single chipped nail! Their salon was clean and all equipment was opened from a sterile package. Thank you Mimosa Nail Bar!

Called ahead of time to confirm prices online, just to be told during my appointment that the website is out dated and under new ownership. Therefore, the prices were higher. I asked if the would honor the price, and they willingly adjusted the price but did not get the original service I wanted, the reason I decided to come to this establishment in the first place. The mimosa special comes with a 1-complimentary, dollar tree size cup.

The staff were super kind and did a good job - prices are pretty low and it was a good experience!

The experience at Mimosa Nails was fantastic.Dee is wonderful owner that’s doing an outstanding job. This is also one of the best looking nail spas in all of Portland. The environment was clean and well kept. They really care about the quality of their service. They also served numerous drinks there at no extra cost. Some of the options were mimosa, red wine, white wine, champagne and orange juice. The atmosphere was great and the employees were very kind. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a nail spa!

I usually book with Peter and get the hard gel manicure. I always know that I will get the best service. I brought my mom here from out of town and she had the best experience with the ladies who did her pedicure. They were detail oriented, careful, and caring when it came to dealing with her feet. Honestly, love this place.

The last few times I went in to get pedicure and nails done, I wasnt acknowledged. I understand if youre busy but acknowledge all customers!!! I went in two weeks later, and an employee approached me and said were to busy right now, and opened the door for me. I didnt know how to take that, but not a good feeling!

Great service and great staff

This is the best salon in the neighborhood, and also the only one I never have to make an appointment at. They accept walk-ins and are very accommodating to most schedules. Everyone who works here is so helpful and nice, easy to talk to, and they do a wonderful job on my nails. I wholeheartedly recommend this salon!

I can’t believe I’ve never done a review for Mimosa! I absolutely love this place. Amy and her crew are so professional, sweet and they do an incredible job. The salon is clean and well taken care of. I’ve always received excellent service and am treated with respect! In a neighborhood with so many nail salons, this one is definitely #1! I even came here with all of my girlfriends as part of my bachelorette party weekend! They made us feel so special! Highly recommended!

I miss my bi-weekly visit here! My polish has no chips or cracks and it’s been a whole month. Super friendly people and I’m sad they have to be closed right now. I want to be V’s first appointment when this awful quarantine is over.

Love coming here, Peter is amazing and the whole staff gives you so much care and respect right when you come in. Also best pedicure I’ve ever had, they are so gentle and they have complimentary mimosa’s which are delicious! They have heating pads for achy necks too! I made an appointment because I was coming from out of town as I do once a year and this year apparently theyve changed owners and they didnt have my appointment and didnt know anything about appointment. The woman told me they didnt have the appointment book from the previous owner. What the hell? I will never turn.

We went here after trying on wedding dresses for my friend who is getting married. We got the Mimosa package, and it was total posh treatment! They really went above and beyond to make the bride feel special, including pictures of the event and special decorations! I also got one of the best pedicures Ive ever had. The leg massage felt amazing. I highly recommend mimosa for any Bachelorette or bridal shower event

Under new ownership, and expertly managed by Peter since December 2018, the Nail Technicians at Mimosa Nails and Spa always provide a welcoming smile, expert techniques and authentic care from start to end of service. Peter is a high caliber professional with advanced levels of expertise which make him a true artist. Under his management, the shop has been transformed with new salon equipment and furniture, and now offers a wide range of polishes. Through Peter’s skill and knowledge I have learned that hard gel is better suited to longer enhancements and it is more durable. I always receive compliments on my nails, even when I am due for my next appointment. And while I have homes in both the San Francisco Bay area and Portland, I will only see Peter at Mimosa Nail and Spa. He and his staff and services are that exceptional!

I recently switched to this business after being a long time customer elsewhere. It is clean, the employees pleasant, good color selection, and great price. Very good value.

A large group of us went to Mimosa for a bachelorette party. They were very accommodating, and worked hard to make sure we had a good time at our event. There have been times when I have gone to nail salons with groups and left feeling like the technicians rushed to get our services done. However, at Mimosa that is not the case. They gave us each a great pedicure, and those of us with manicures left satisfied as well.

This place was absolutely terrible. The woman who appeared to be the owner abandoned my friend while she began another pedicure for about 20 minutes. We had an appointment and were left to wait. We ordered the mimosa pedicure, which indicates you get complimentary champagne throughout the experience. The woman tried to charge us an extra $2 for the second glass of Cooks. She rudely asked Again? when I asked to use the restroom. To which I stated it was the first time Id used it. She said she was sorry, just confused, but had already been extremely rude to me. She made me open a bottle of champagne stating If you want more you open it. I had no problem with this but she continued to be judgmental and rude throughout the experience. The leg massage was not great either but the main concern was with the woman who owned the establishment or at least appeared to be running it. When we tried to pay, she then tried to charge extra for the use of a credit card. I stated I would only be paying the amount listed on the menu. I chose to give my technician a cash tip so I left the tip line blank and the owner quickly yelled across the room (which there were now 4 other women getting pedicures) and stated no tip from this lady. I walked directly over to my technician and gave her my tip. I would recommend NEVER going to this establishment. There are several others down the block which will be gracious and kind and dont have a crazy woman trying to nickel and dime you for an uncomfortable, at best, experience.

Great service and a lovely relaxing experience.. This place replaced Christinas - new lighting, music and ambiance. I heartily recommend. They have an express pedicure over lunch - what could be better?

Best shellac manicure I have ever gotten. I return every month and will not go anywhere else. The only reason I ever need to get them redone is because of grow-out. It never peels or chips unless I force it to. The ladies are so nice and the owner always makes sure you are satisfied. I could not recommend this place more!

My bridal party and I (10 total) went to get pedicures at this place. We were rushed through our messages, basically they didnt even rub our feet, and 5 out of the 10 girls including myself THE BRIDE our polish literally FELL OFF within 5 HOURS Of getting them painted...just popped off completely...I called to ask if they could refund us because we didnt have time to have them repaint them, we are from Grants Pass and were only in Portland for the day, and they REFUSED!! REFUSED TO LET ME TSLK TO THE MANAGER!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Now I have to get my toes painted AGAIN for my big day and I paid them $45. Oh, and they charged us $2 a mimosa when online it CLEARLY says any bridal party that big would receive FREE MIMOSAS.

My mother was visiting from out of town, and we were in the area showing her around. We visited Mimosa Nail Salon because their website looked good, and the service description sounded pleasant.While we were helped right away, the nail techs seemed inconvenienced to assist us, and were not friendly. They spoke to each other in their language without ever speaking to us. My nail tech gave me an air machine to help dry, but the other tech did not do the same for my mother, despite being there for the same service. Then both techs vanished and left us there for a long while without ever returning. The icing on the proverbial cake was that, despite having sat under the air dryer, my nails smudged before we even left, and then TWO HOURS LATER, smudged so badly I had to remove the whole manicure. I have never had nails smudge two hours after leaving a salon. I may as well have lit $25 on fire. I will not be back.

I made an appointment and when arrived, everyone was busy and I had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be sat and another 5-10 to get attention. The girl doing my manicure agreed to the length and shape I wanted my nails and then didnt do it. They also charged me $2 more than the posted cost. When that was pointed it out I was shown a menu with a different price. I had used the services of Mimosa in the past and quit going, but started again because its close to where I live. Now I am reminded why and will not make that mistake again!

I drank orange juice here and it was delicious. I only come here for the orange juice as there’s no juice like it.

This was a perfect destination for our co-ed bachelorette party! Amy was really friendly and helpful and the package with free mimosas, cupcakes and photoshoot was too good to turn down. Would definitely recommend.

Mimosa Nail Bar is the BEST! They always accommodate walk ins. They have great customer service (so sweet) and do a fantastic job. Prices are totally reasonable, especially considering you get a free mimosa while getting your nails done! I will always continue to get my pedis and shellac manis here.

I came in for a French mani/pedi. While one person performed the pedi, another attempted to do my French manicure at the same time. I have a frozen shoulder, but was made to hold my arm up in the air across my body at an awkward and frankly painful angle in order for the technician to reach me. While this was not at all relaxing, what bothered me most about the manicure was that the technician thought it could be done in a dimly, naturally lit room, without a table, and with my arm in the air. While one hand looked passable, the other looked really terrible. The shellac manicure was thick, lumpy and smudged. I had crusty nail shellac under my nails and around my cuticles. Two of my nails were not unevenly shaped, and for some reason my manicure did not include any cuticle work at all. When I tried pointing out what I thought was wrong with my mani, the technician told me it was fine and I couldn’t see because we were “in the dark(!!!).” When I told the manager I was not happy with all but one of the nails on my left hand, he said he would fix it, then sent me to a manicure table with the same woman who had done it the first time. It was tense and uncomfortable, but at least this time performed under adequate lighting at a table, without my arm being held in the air at an uncomfortable angle. The correction looked 100 times better, but was so unnecessary when it should have been done at the table in the first place. I never leave bad reviews, and I never insist that someone correct their work, at least not before now. For the cost (not cheap!) I wasn’t going to walk out with my left hand looking like that. It was such a terrible experience, and it could have been avoided if they hadn’t been so sloppy in their efforts to save themselves some time. Turns out you cannot give a decent French manicure in the dark. And even if you could, you shouldn’t make your customers contort their bodies to make it happen. Maybe just go for a pedicure. I’ll never be back.

I wasnt impressed. They are more expensive than my normal salon, the lady who did my manicure was not friendly and acted like it was an inconvenience to be doing my nails. All she did was cut them, file them and paint them. No massage or anything, which was annoying for the price. Also, they never asked if I brought my own kit (which is legally required in Oregon) and they just used used files and stuff on me. Will not be going back or recommending.

One of the best pedicures Ive gotten in a long time, very patient and really does a great job, friendly too. The only down side is if there is a younger girl or a small group celebrating at this location, they pay be a bit distracted even if they are working on you.

This was the WORST salon experience Ive ever had. The salon was overbooked and the nail techs seemed to be in a huge rush. When the next appointment arrived and threatened to leave we were moved from our massage chairs to the bar. Our toes were painted while sitting at the waiting bar. In total we spent 2 HOURS at the salon for a mani-pedi. The staff was incredible RUDE, salon was CROWDED, our nails were chipped and smeared at the end but we were so unhappy we just left. OVERPRICED and MEDICORE.

I was very impressed with this salon. I booked a bachelorette party for my sister here with 8 women and we were treated very well. They set up an entire little bar with cupcakes, fresh fruit, a bachelorette banner and gave my sister a bouquet. They had me email photos in and they put together a slideshow for my sister that played with great music during our time there. Also, they took pictures of our experience with their own camera and emailed them to me!!! ALL OF THIS WAS FREE! Each of us only paid the listed price of the mimosa pedicure which was $35!! (Plus a great tip due to service). The pedicures were great and the women working did a fabulous job balancing all of us.I dont know going in for an individual pedi, but I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND booking an event with your girlfriends here!

My gel manicure actually chipped and started getting these lines/cracks in it. It ruined and broke so many long nails... disappointing.
